Games - shifting to new or reformatted PCs

Hi all,
It seems there are plenty of people here with this problem. Perhaps this should be assessed more seriously by apple.
I recently upgraded my PC, and I copied my iTunes library folder to back it up. Now, while iTunes recognises the remaining contents (i.e., music, podcasts etc) it doesn't recognize the games. Further, I have authorized iTunes under the same account I bought them from. However, since the games had been previously transferred to my iPod, they are still on there to this day. So not being able to play the games isn't an issue for me... yet.
My concern is that, for whatever reason, some time in the future I may have to do a factory reset of the iPod (or send it back for warranty repair), at which time all the data (including games) will be wiped and I'll no longer be able to push games up to the iPod (because they no longer appear in iTunes).
So, is there a way to get the games back into iTunes from the iPod, or from the files. I've changed motherboard, video card, hard disks, cpu - everything when I upgraded. I'm wondering if authorization keys are based on some hardware enumeration or something, and this is why it isn't working?
.. is this a matter for contacting apple directly?

I have a powershell script that is collecting AD accounts from within a certain OU that expire in the next 30 days. My problem is I cant get it to also display the displayName as a field as well as sort the formatting.
The fullname is coming up blank for me. I know if I add the following line it will sort it but having issues determining where to do so...
