Games sites?

I'm getting ready to buy a Treo 750. I'm wondering if there are any mobile sites out there to play games on my treo. I love going to pogo.com but they do not support mobile devices. I like pogo because you can either play at the site or download games to your computer and still earn tokens (it just uploads them if your online so your account is always up to date with how many tokens you have and then you can enter them for prizes). Is there a site out there like this for mobile devices? If not, then why not? Right now I pay $6 a month to be a club member on pogo and play all the games and I would be willing to pay $20 a month if it was mobile compatible.
I mean, on a pda/phone you have the ability to play games and to get online, why can't it be combined and have the option to chat while playing or even just earn tokens/prize points while playing?? If it's not available I think it would be a great money maker for someone who is computer/tech savvy!

It's apparently either Adobe Flash or Shockwave. There is a Flash player for Windows Mobile, but it only plays flash videos, not games. The Nokia N800 can do this, but it's not a phone. And it's more of a developer's tool.

Java 6 & game site not working

I repaired my xp windows system was using java 5 updated to java 6 all went well however there is one game site that isn't working with java 6 but did work with java 5 any suggestions.

My mouse acts up when I get to game sites, what is wrong?

When I go to game sites the cursor for the mouse starts flipping all over the place. I have to click something over and over and sometimes it doesn't even pick up what is wrong. Also the plug-in crashes all the time. What do I do?

Try sending them via the Messages app as opposed to E-mail.
E-mail shouldn't normally be a problem, but Messages will do as a soloution.
To do so:
. You need iOS 5
1. Go to your Photo Gallery
2. Open up the album/ images you want to send
3. Press the share button (top right hand corner)
4. Select 'Send as Message' (not e- mail)
5. Select your friends Apple ID from your address book for his iPad
6. Voila!
- it's something along those lines...... my iPad is downstairs atm, but the actual way of doing it will be similar...... !

Sun java script to support games sites

which javascript do i need to support game sites such as pogo?
i had sun javascript when i had windows 95, had very few problems.
about a week ago ,i replaced win 95 with win98, since then , nothing but problems.pogo games especially rely on players to have sun javascript to be able to play the games.
i know there is conflict between sun and microsoft, but why should we as customers of both to be left in a proverbial limbo?
we cannot have the games without microsoft, and we cannot play the games witout sun javascript.
are we just pawns to the computer industry because of greed?
i do not understand why sun has not responded, when i inquired for the information i asked for, requesting which javascript i need to enjoy the puter games i play.
should someone respond to this, please do so in terms a newbie can understand, computer language is way too cofusing for someone who was born over 60 years ago, and has only had a computer for about a year.

bottom line sun...java...and their subsidiaries, as smart as they are.....figuratively made parts for a machine that hasn't been invented yet. That my friends is where the problem lies.
Fact....older versions of JRE work better with many gaming communities, but the new ones are needed to support the big corporate programming contracts. Try running an older version for games...or even remove JRE from your pc and install the older MS VM instead.
Then don't upgrade.
Face it...we in the gaming community are just pee-ons and our complaints don't rate compared with the need to develope platforms which can be sold to the institutions with the deepest pockets.

Do you play games written in other languages? Have you read of the compatibility problems and upgrade problems with them? Do you expect all game programming to stop because every language has a problem with some people?

Need help accessing game site since router installed...

I upgraded to a Linksys WRT54G...however, now when playing on line games on the PC and laptop at the same time..an error message appears stating the compters share the same local networkkkk...not allowing us to play games wn another.
How can I change this so we are not recognized as being on the same local network so the game site we play on allows us to access?

Are you running the latest versions of your games? If not update.
I had the same problem with one game that I installed on my desktop and laptop. I can play against the laptop or go online with both computer through the same network without any problems.

Why can I not download a game from ATT game site

I can get to ATT game site and login but when I download a game , firefox says cannot find file. When my browser was Internet Explorer I had no problems downloading.

Yesterday firefox installed a new version on my Mac OS X. Now my Mac keeps freezing immediately upon trying to use the AOL site Games.com when I register as a guest. This usually happens during the first game of pinochle. Although I have used computers with technical proprietary programs at work for over 25 yrs, I am a neophyte with all this web stuff and I need help. When I load a Flash based game site for my kids, the reload symbol spins continuously. The site slows down all browsing because of this. Why is this happening? How can I fix it? It has only started recently, in FF3.6 and in 4.

The site in question is webkinz.com, and once you log on to the game. I have tried Adblocker, and swept for sypware. I have reinstalled Flash, downgraded Flash, back to current version now. Tried in FF 3.6 and 4.

You are right about high CPU usage. It was even when playing various computer games. I don't have problems anymore. But not because I disabled all addons. I did these things:
In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.
Search for dom.ipc.plugins.flash.disable-protected-mode in the list of preferences.
Double-click on the preference to toggle its value from false to true. (If the setting is already true it means that Flash Protected Mode is currently disabled.)
Close Firefox.
Restart Firefox.
And since then I don't have that particular problem with overloading. I just disabled some of flash protected mode. How is that related with "overloading"? Strage. Hardware acceleration I've enabled again as without it whole text field in news sites is sometimes black.

Why are certain sites suspended? some of the backdoors for game sites show "This Account has been Suspended" when you try to access them.

What does "This Account has been Suspended" mean and why are certain sites suspend?

It can't be a problem with my ISP or my IP address since it only happens with Firefox. When I try out the same listings with other browsers it doesn't happen. eBay said Firefox must be making it seem as though I am in France. Goodness knows how or why??

Browser shuts down when I access any games site, Yahoo Poge, etc.

When ever I try to get to my game which is pinochle on Yahoo, the browser goes back to my start up screen shuts down Fire fox and asks me to send an error report. This did not happen until i downloaded the latest version of Firefox today.

I used air spray and I also disassembled the Notebook one time for cleaning purposes.

Jepp, i read about that driver problem a while ago and I reinstalled the Toshiba display driver about two or three months ago. I am not sure, but I think it takes a little bit more time until the notebook overheats, since i reinstalled the driver. But the problem stayed.

I installed the newest BIOS version shortly after the update was released. As far as I know this was quite a while ago.

Firefox loads the Yahoo Games site but the ads on the right side overrun the game play area? How do I fix this?

My Firefox doesn't crash I just can't see the extreme right side of the game play area as the ad box on that side overlaps the play area.

Try to remove the Firefox plist file (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

Refresh, stop icons, etc. when transferred to browser bar take me to a games site when clicked on.

When I go to the Help menu & click on Customize, I can transfer the refresh, stop, etc. icons, however, when clicked on, they take me to a games website. Under the icons, it says "Play sudoku". I have the latest version of Firefox.

Computer locks up on a game site

My computer locks up when my daughter plays Robotox. I can't even use mouse to exit out.

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 5 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
