Games wont install on Ipod

I have a G5 Ipod and yesterday I bought 3 games for it with the new iTunes. The games wont install on my ipod, when I try and sync them I get the error message for each game that the game cant be installed because it cant be found! The games show up in the games section of iTunes and they are located in My Music/iTunes/Unknown Artist/. Anyone know what the problem is?
Ive tried looking on the FAQ section but the games bit dosnt seem to be working yet and neither does the e-mail button
Any help appreciated!

I have the same problem as David W. I downloaded the full games suite (9 games), I updated the 5g iPod with the new version. After that, the games did not install to Ipod, it says my mac was not authorized to use the games, but its the same mac i downloaded tons of music yesterday with no problem. Weird thing, although the games appear in my mac (under iPod Games) they are not listed in my Purchased file, diff from all the music I downloaded that is listed there. So I'm not sure if in reality I paid for the games (have to check with PayPal), although in fact they were downloaded to my mac. Anyone any ideas?

  • Help Game wont upload onto ipod!!

I downloaded it then this message came up saying im not authoerized ot play on this comp???? now i cant get it onto my ipod... yes it is 5th gen but no it wont work please help!

I authorized my game and it still won't upload. My
games tab says my 5th gen video ipod needs a software
update. It's running 1.1.2 and the update button in
itunes 7 is greyed out. Can't seem to find any later
version for this ipod. Any one seeing this as well?
The software installer I downloaded for iTunes 7 updates Quicktime and iTunes. One of the steps upon running the installer was a question:
"Do you want to update your iPod to version 1.2" or something like that. My iPod got the update, rebooted and then continued with the rest of the update. You may want to re-run the iTunes updater again and look for that question and answer "yes" to permit the iPod to be upgraded to version 1.2.
    Hope this helps you.

  • App wont install on Ipod Touch

Bought an appfrom Apple Store and downloaded to computer.  Connected Ipad, and app installed on Ipad ok.  Connected Ipod Touch; computer showed list of available apps; the one I wanted to install appeared with "install" button next to it.  XClicked on button and it changed to "will install," but nothing else happened.  Clicked on "apply."  It went through a synch cycle, but the app still didn't appear on the ipod.  No error message of any kind.  The button returned to "install."
How doI get this app to install?  It was advertized as working on Ipod Touch.
    Regards, Greatblue

It looks like our Ipod is a very old one.  It runs IOS 4.2, and apparently cannot be upgraded to what is required for the app.  it would have been nice, though, if trying to install produced an appropriate error message, rather than twiddling its thumbs and doing nothing.
Anyway, thanks for the responses,  Greatblue

  • My ipod games wont sync to ipod

i just had my computer fixed and then i plugged in my ipod and it deleted the games off of it and says that the games cannot be played on this computer. Has anybody heard of this problem before and is there anyway to get them to work without rebuying the games?

You need to Authorize the computer.

  • When ever my ipod is connected to the computer and download an app it wont install, when ever my ipod is connected to the computer and download an app it wont install

when ever my ipod is connected to the computer and download an app it wont install in itunes 11

    What happens when you try?
    Can you sync music?
Have you synced apps from this computer/iTunes library before? You an only sync app from the one syncing computer you can have.
Are the apps compatible with your model iPod/iOS
Do you have restrictions set that would prevent installation of those apps?

Have you successfully synced from the iTunes library before?

  • Game wont transfer from libary to ipod

I downloaded texas holdem to my ipod. and for some reason I cant get it to transfer to be active on my ipod.

Hi folks, I have a video ipod (60GB) running 1.2.1 software. I have my computer authorised, am running the latest itunes version with the latest osX version updated, and successfully buy and transfer songs and video from the itunes store. But now I have bought a game. Zuma .
As is the case for many people here, the game will not transfer to my ipod whether I try to do it by dragging it form my itunes library to my ipod, or by using automatic sync ( clicking the correct box in the games tab of the ipod settings in itunes.) But unlike most of the people here, my computer is authorised and I have enabled sync, and i do have a compatible gaming ipod!
In fact when I ask it to sync games (be it all games or specifically zuma, which correctly appears in my library and in the games sync list), it goes through the process and I see a progress bar and all, but then once my ipod is disconnected, there is no game on my ipod other than the already installed ones.
When I update my ipod manually, and try to drag the game form the library, it does not tell me I cannot or show me a block icon, it just behaves as if it were not possible to drag to the ipod at all. (no little green plus sign on the curser , but not anything else either)
Not only does the game not appear when I try to find it in my ipod (other preinstalled games like solitaire or parachute work fine) but also, while in itunes the library has a games item, like it has a music, movies, podcast or a TV shows item, the devices list corresponding to my ipod does not show a games item.
    what is up? Help!
how do I get the game onto my ipod?

  • Windows Vista wont install Ipod drivers

    OK I NEED HELP....
I have Windows Vista and I am trying to install my iPod Nano, but everytime I plug my iPod in it ask me to insert the CD that came with it. As I don't have a CD I just click to install drivers automatically. Than it gives me an error saying 'unable to install drivers'. The divers do show up in the device manger under- other devices but there is a little warning sign next to it. So I right click on it and update driver, which it then tells me that it can't update driver. I have the latest version on iTunes and Quicktime, and I have also done a restore on my pc. Spoken to Apple 4 times!!! got no where with them. My iPod works fine on Windows XP machine, but not my Windows Vista. Has anyone else had any troubles with Vista??

I'm not sure my problem with Vista is the same. New computer with Vista, and I'm trying to transfer my library from old computer to new one. I loaded latest version of iTunes. When I put in my apple ID, my acct balance and items in my shopping cart appeared. When I connect my iPod, it is recognized.
I found an article that gave two options for copying library to new computer. One was to use backup discs to RESTORE, and the other was to use the iPod as a hard drive. It says that it will ask if I want to restore when I insert backup disc, but it does not ask. I tried Import, but tht didn't work either. When I connect my iPod, it doesn't copy the contents from there either. It only gives me the option of erasing iPod and loading what is on new library (which is only about 12 songs). I get a msg that I am synced to another library and can only be synced to one. I still got that msg after I deauthorized the old one.
Any suggestions on how to load music onto new library?
    Thanks in advance!
