Gantt Chart Series bar display problem

Am looking for your help¡K
I developed Gantt Chart business graphics exactly as explained in the tutorial, but the result I got just display points instead of displaying bar as shown the graphic pasted in the tutorial.
Can you tell what is the option or the property that I supposed to modify to display that bar.
This is my be easy for you, but for me it¡¦s difficult since I don¡¦t know it. º

Hi, I'm currently creating a gantt chart using Sap Netweaver developer studio. I'm using the business graphic to create it. But I'm unsure on how to create the series bar on the gantt chart for each category.
I want my gantt chart to be those for projects. Task as the category and the series bar to stretch from the start date to the end date. But I don't noe how to create the series bar.

Firefox window bar display problem

The size of window bar of my computer is customized, when maximize firefox, there is a display problem about the window bar of firefox, the windows bar of firefox shows different color strips.

Chart series should display center of the x-axis lines

Menu bar display problems

I'm not exactly sure when this happened, but I have noticed that on the top menu bar on my Mac (MacBook Pro, Early 2011 running 10.9.1) has started displaying incorrectly. Here's what it looks like
I have tried verifying/repairing permissions, looking through the community forums to try and find people with similar problems and, so far, haven't come across any.
Any ideas?

Not an issue any more. I re-loaded the site w/o the menu bar
after I made the original post (as you saw) because of the
incompatibility issue I was having between Spry and IE6 & 7.
Before that, I first updated Spry, re-loaded the page with Spry
menu and still had the same IE 6 & 7 issue. Frankly, I simply
gave up on Spry, due to time constraints in getting a new site
layout operational (today was my deadline). From what I've read on
these and and other forums, Spry does not play well with IE,
especially IE7. Unfortunately for me, I don't use IE at all, so
rely on Dreamweaver's compatibility check to tell me if all is
well. Why Spry works so well on Safari, Firefox and Netscape, and
not on IE, is beyond me. Thanks, anyway for your comment. Much
appreciated.

Progress Bar display problem on Win_XP Win2000 operating systems

Dear All,
I have some month-end, year-end and other processes. I have facilitated the user by putting 'Progress Bar' to show the progress status at every transaction. I have used simple logic by increasing the width of a colored item gradually. Anyway it is working perfectly fine. But now I came to know that all the computers having other than Windows98 operating system are unable to show the progress if they move mouse a little of press any key from the keyboard.
On the other hand on Win98 PCs, users are touching the mouse sometime using other application and still able to see the progress of the running process.
I could not figure out the problem can anyone help me in this regard. Thanks

Experiencing a series of display problems.

Okay, I've got a slight problem. I'm hoping someone can help me. The other day, a glass of Pinot Grigio spilled onto my keyboard. Also ahem some small shards of glass. It's all cleaned up now. A minor, stupid mishap. But I turned my Mac off after this happened, and when I went to turn it back on the next morning, things started to get messed up. Over the course of the last several days, I have experienced a handful of different things, many of them several times each. These things seem to happen when I'm either starting up the computer or waking it from sleep mode:
* A completely blue screen with a really loud fan noise (this has probably happened twice, and both were on start up).
* A fuzzy, almost vibrating picture, beginning with the appearance of the Apple logo on start up.
* A weird screen condition I can only describe as randomly displaced pixels.
* Completely black program windows (this has only happened after waking the Mac up from sleep mode).
* A screen covered entirely in what looks like small gray bricks (sometimes accompanied by noise from the fan).
As I said, most of these things have occurred multiple times each. Sometimes these symptoms occur in conjunction with each other, sometimes they don't. I've tried resetting the PRAM and NVRAM, but, assuming I did it right (which who knows, maybe I didn't), neither of them worked. So now I'm sort of lost as to what to do. The wine that spilled on the keyboard didn't touch any other components of the computer, so, ideally, I don't feel like I should be experiencing these problems. But I am. Can anyone help?

Hi, readjdm, and welcome to Apple Discussions.
You may feel that spilling wine on your keyboard shouldn't cause it or the computer to malfunction, but your keyboard and other keyboards everywhere beg to differ. They all require a liquid-free diet. Cracker crumbs, cat hair and household dust are about all they're willing to consume, and those only in moderation.
The easiest way to test whether all your symptoms are due to the inebriated keyboard is to substitute another keyboard temporarily. If all is well with a different keyboard, yours needs drying-out and rehab.
A keyboard is full of tiny microswitches, which in turn are full of tiny crevices that liquid can get into and short things out or gum them up. It's very hard to dry everything out completely; at best it takes several days. When a keyboard is treated to a drink containing sugars or other stuff that leaves a gummy residue after the liquid evaporates (yes, wine qualifies here), simply letting it dry may not be enough — depending on how far the liquid has penetrated, which you can't tell visually. In any case where, after 3-4 days of air-drying at room temperature, the keyboard continues to malfunction, you may want to try disassembling the keyboard and rinsing the circuit board at its heart under lukewarm running water for several minutes, or soaking it for half an hour and then rinsing it under running water. That will remove most water-soluble residues fairly effectively. (If your water has lots of minerals in it, use distilled water instead.) After washing, let it dry completely — again, it will take several days for the water to evaporate out of all those little crevices. You can speed things up some by aiming an ordinary household fan at it, continuously blowing room-temperature air over it. Don't try to use a hair dryer to speed things up more; the heat could easily damage things.
If this all seems like a bit too much hassle, just buy a new keyboard.

Error: Cannot display Gantt chart in PWA 2010

Hi,
With a brand new instance of Project Web App 2010, I cannot display any project Gantt Chart: "Error: cannot display this view".
NB: on the client Win 7 PC, there are several versions of MS Office installed: 2003; 2007, 2010. I was told that this could be the issue.
Any ideas?

It means when you click on schedule Project detail page for project you are getting issue can not display the view.
.In the PWA under the quick launch bar click on Server Settings.
2.On the Server Settings page, under Security click on Manage Groups.
3.On Manage Groups page click on administrator.
4.Under Categories section, click on My Tasks. Under Permission for My tasks Allow “Open Project” permission.
5.Under Global Permission ensure “New Project” is enabled.
6.Click Save button.
Please do the same for project manager and team member group then check from different user which will have project manager
permission .
Let us know the result.

Gantt chart- How to change the color of time bars of different versions

Hi All,
My Client wants to see all changes in planning schedule. I made different versions of these changes but he also want to see all these changes in gantt chart and in different colors. I tried to change the color in planning board assistant but in this screen (CJ27/ CJ2B). we cannot view all versions together. And if I use CN41, there I cannot change the colors of time bars.
Secondly, we can change colors of times bars of basic dates, forecast dates and actual dates but there is no provision to change the colors of schedule bars of different project versions. Kindly reply-
1. How to see all project versions in CJ27 or How to customise bar chart in cn41 or if we change in SPRO, then how to change graphic profile in project info profile
2. How to change colors of different time bars of different versions.
3. How to mention these legends (meaning of each color in chart) at footer of gantt chart (in print outs)

actually I've created new project planning board profile where planning board assistant is customized but unable to use this profile in CN41. we can change PS info profile in CN41 and that;s why I thought that planning board profile may be assigned somewhere in PS info profile so that changes in planning board assistant will be applied in CN41 through PS info profile. Graphic profile is too complex to understand and not sure if it will help to get colored time bars of projct versions in gantt chart. Still not clear.
Secondly not able to see all versions (snap shots) in gantt chart with different colors of time bars.
I mean planning board screen can be customized but we cannt see different versions here which are possible in CN41, but we cannt customize the gantt chart (time bars) in CN41. Pls help.

Problem with gantt chart displaying - Apex4.2

Hi I'm using Apex 4.2 on localhost and
I have got three tables: employee, engineer, dates
-> engineer table is a specification of employee table, that means in employee you can find also the
names of the engineers. Engineer only has an additional attribute.
Here's the structure of the three tables:
employee (e_id, lastname, surname....)
engineer (e_id, attribute)
appointment (a_id, e_id,start, end)
Now my problem: By using the gantt chart the xml doesn't want to show the names of the engineers.
If I only use this sql statement everything works but I only have the e_id from my engineer table:

If I try to use this statement in order to see the names of the employees no chart will be shown,
only xml error:

I also created a view which combines the lastname from employee and the e_id from engineer

Then I'll see e_ids in my gantt chart but if I want to see my employee names

I tested all sql statements on sql developer.

Problems with BusinessGraphics Gantt Chart: WebDynpro 7.1 SP3

Hi,
i tried the BusinessGraphics Gantt Chart and went through the Code Example for Displaying a Gantt Chart on:

Unfortunately my gantt does not look and behave like it should:
1) The bars are only small sqares in the middle of one day. I use the same data as in the sample, so the bars should be a couple of days long
2) I added an action, added an EventID to the series and to the point, mapped the parameters. When clicking a point a roundtrip is done. I write a success message with the eventID but often the Gantt Picture is a broken image after this (small red cross).
3) The tooltip of the point is not shown in the chart when pointing on the square
Can anybody help, please?

Thanks a lot! This solved one of three problems. The trick is that you can set the marker for the points (without any effect) and for the series (with effect).
The tooltip shows up now, too. No idea why now and not before...

Gantt Chart: Problems with more than 39 elements

Hi all,
I have a problem with Gantt Project Chart.
Please have a look at http://tryapexnow.com/apex/f?p=2141:2 (credentials: demo/demo)
If you limit to 39 rows this works fine, but with 40 rows or more the timeline is not in line with the datagrid.
Strange thing is that as soon as you collapse all tasks the timeline is correct.
Uncollapsing brings back wrong display.
Has anybody seen this behaviour before and can help me out on that?

Hello Moritz,
the "Maximum Rows"-option is as default set to 40.
if you created the chart by "Create Region => Chart => Flash Chart => ..." you can change this value in tab "Chart Series", below the "Build Query"-button.
But I don't know how to change the maximum number of rows, when the chart is created via
"var chart = new AnyChart(''#IMAGE_PREFIX#flashchart/anygantt_4/swf/AnyGantt.swf''); " in a HTML-region.
I'm very interested in finding a solution.

Problems in designing Gantt Charts through Web Dynpros

Dear friends,
We are having a situation in which we need to display the series of production orders in shop floor in a gantt chart having a specific start & end date and time.
To implement this scenario, we are using Gantt Chart tool available in Web dynpro. In the gantt chart tool we are passing an XML file edited as per data to display production orders starting and ending at particular date and time.
Now we are facing following problems to design this case.
1. We are currently using type repository <TypeRepository href="apps/gantt/cprojects/TypeRepository.xml" version="1.0"> as a base type repository to define our XML file. This type repository we found in one of Gantt chart test examples. We believe if we are able to view this file we can know what types are available and how can we use their elements and attributes to define graph in XML file. Please help us how can we view this type repository.
2. Currently we are viewing scale on Gantt chart only on date base. Can we view the scale at time base too? If yes, how?
3. Currently we are manually editing our XML file to add up data that we want to display in our gantt charts. We would like to know what is standard procedure to edit XML file in a program. Additionally if you can tell us the functional modules or class-methods to edit XML file in program, this would be very helpful.

About where to find file apps/gantt/cprojects/TypeRepository.xml.
Maybe it's not the best way, but i had access to portal server files (access to /usr/sap directory on server where enterprise portal was installed). And i found it there by jnet search criteria.
In my case it layed in the following place:
\usr\sap\<SID>\J01\j2ee\cluster\apps\sap.com\tcwddispwda\servlet_jsp\webdynpro\resources\sap.com\tcwddispwda\root\global\activeComp\

Ability to display multiple texts within graphic planning board Gantt chart

I have been unable to change the planning board Bar Chart Graphic Profile (OPG0 and OPG9) to be able to display both material text and a user field within the Gantt chart graphic. I have copied the SAPSFCG011 profile and created my own. The profile is displayed below from CMCH.

In addition to the profile change, I have configured the graphical object type ZJB000 (in OPG9) to look as follows:

I have found that the 2nd text field (USR08) must be added as the last step (#6). When I had it as #1, the planning board did not display the USR08 value.
Now both are displayed in the Gantt chart graphic. However, it is difficult to see this long string of data as the bars in the Gantt chart may not be long enough to display the data.
Therefore we would like to use the "hover over" text which is displayed in the status line at the bottom of the screen. We have tried using both the Info Text and the Quick Info options within the Bar Chart: Options Profile (OPG0). Only the first text (the material descirption) is dislayed within either the Quick Info or the Info Text.
Is it possible to have multiple object values appear in Quick Info or Info Text? Or is it possible to control which text is displayed in the Quick Info or Info Text?
Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated, as this is a make-or-break issue for the business to use the planning board. Thank you!

I'm also looking for a standard customizing alternative to do the same thing.
Still, if you're interested, I've already done it successfully with user exit PLAT0001.
