GAP Anlysis

What is GAP Analysis in ASAP Methodology???? I would appreciate if some one can explain it with a real time scenario.....

Hi
ASAP methodology is the standard implementation methodolgy suggested by SAP for the faster implementation of SAP projects.
It has 5 stages into it
1. Project preparation
2. Business Blueprint
3.Realisation
4.Final preparation
5. GO live and Support.
For more info look at the following:

• Error message -- "The gap...st have a duration of either a zero, or at least 0.4 seconds

Have no idea where to look for the fix.

Anyone have any ideas?

Zoom in on the junction between files. Is there a gap in the audio or video?
The usual problem here is that mpeg files often have small differences in the length of the audio and video streams. When you butt them together, this creates small gaps.
I have not experimented with this, and do not know whether using an mpg file (muxed) or m2v/wav/a3c (demuxed) makes a difference. I don't ever put multiple files on one timeline. If I need them on one timeline, I create one file.

• Error while saving FYV : Gaps in financial year variant periods

Hello Experts,
We are getting an error while saving a new FYV as:
Gaps in financial year variant periods XY
Message no. FGV556
Diagnosis
The period specification has gaps. The periods must be sequentially numbered without any gaps.
System Response
Only a correctly defined period assignment can be saved.
Procedure
Define the periods with consecutive numbers.
Details: The new FYV has 52/53 weeks as posting periods depending on calendar year.
For example, we are trying to define Fisc 2009 as follows. (Fiscal year 2009 = Nov 01 2008 to Oct 31 2009).

Hello, I am getting this error while saving the FSV. My FSV is based on Weeks. Below is what I am inputting for this. Other details are Calender Year - 2017, No. of posting periods - 53, checked year dependent. Also, I have FSV for previous years also where weeks are 52 but configured as 53. So, hope that this is not creating this issue. Solicit your early response.

• If I get the photography plan does it come with phone gap build (the 25 private apps) or do I need to purchase them seperately

I have been using the phone gap build service and I noticed that the plans page links to the Creative Cloud plans as well (the ? in the top right). I was wondering if I get the photoshop/lightroom plan if I get access to the paid phone gap build service or if I need to purchase that as well?
Thanks.

Phone Gap is not part of the photography bundle. Why should it? You do not get Dreamweaver or Flash to actually build content for Phone Gap, only PS and LR.

• Page gap in DW CS6 tutorial. Please help!

I am getting this gap in my page and it started just after I added this
bar. I have done this lesson several times starting from scratch and it still gives me this gap. I am not sure if the book is missing something or it's me. The book shows no gap in the examples. I would greatly appreciate any help. I am a little new to DW. I took HTML in high school about 16 years ago so I understand some code by hand. Thanks for your time.

1) Padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the block elements. The elements within these blocks have padding on their sides. This saves you from any "box model math". Keep in mind, if you add any side padding or border to the block itself, it will be added to the width you define to create the *total* width. You may also choose to remove the padding on the element in the block element and place a second block element within it with no width and the padding necessary for your design.
2) No margin has been given to the columns since they are all floated. If you must add margin, avoid placing it on the side you're floating toward (for example: a right margin on a block set to float right). Many times, padding can be used instead. For blocks where this rule must be broken, you should add a "display:inline" declaration to the block element's rule to tame a bug where some versions of Internet Explorer double the margin.
3) Since classes can be used multiple times in a document (and an element can also have multiple classes applied), the columns have been assigned class names instead of IDs. For example, two sidebar blocks could be stacked if necessary. These can very easily be changed to IDs if that's your preference, as long as you'll only be using them once per document.
4) If you prefer your nav on the left instead of the right, simply float these columns the opposite direction (all left instead of all right) and they'll render in reverse order. There's no need to move the blocks around in the HTML source.

How to use this document

Be aware that the CSS for these layouts is heavily commented. If you do most of your work in Design view, have a peek at the code to get tips on working with the CSS for the fixed layouts. You can remove these comments before you launch your site. To learn more about the techniques used in these CSS Layouts, read this article at Adobe's Developer Center - http://www.adobe.com/go/adc_css_layouts.

Clearing Method

Because all the columns are floated, this layout uses a clear:both declaration in the footer rule. This clearing technique forces the .container to understand where the columns end in order to show any borders or background colors you place on the .container. If your design requires you to remove the footer from the .container, you'll need to use a different clearing method. The most reliable will be to add a <br class="clearfloat" /> or <div class="clearfloat"></div> after your final floated column (but before the .container closes). This will have the same clearing effect.

Logo Replacement

An image placeholder was used in this layout in the header where you'll likely want to place a logo. It is recommended that you remove the placeholder and replace it with your own linked logo.

Be aware that if you use the Property inspector to navigate to your logo image using the SRC field (instead of removing and replacing the placeholder), you should remove the inline background and display properties. These inline styles are only used to make the logo placeholder show up in browsers for demonstration purposes.

To remove the inline styles, make sure your CSS Styles panel is set to Current. Select the image, and in the Properties pane of the CSS Styles panel, right click and delete the display and background properties. (Of course, you can always go directly into the code and delete the inline styles from the image or placeholder there.)

Backgrounds

By nature, the background color on any block element will only show for the length of the content. This means if you're using a background color or border to create the look of a side column, it won't extend all the way to the footer but will stop when the content ends. If the .content block will always contain more content, you can place a border on the .content block to divide it from the column.

This footer contains the declaration position:relative; to give Internet Explorer 6 hasLayout for the footer and cause it to clear correctly. If you're not required to support IE6, you may remove it.

Sorry about that. I am not exactly sure where the problem is, but I know it takes place after I put the
in (in the html portion). If I understand what I am learning, the CSS at the top will structure my html code so I would have thought the CSS tageting my nav would be the focus. Maybe it is a different section though.
CSS part:
nav p {
font-size: 90%;

• Strange gaps in Header and Footer

Im getting gaps in the header and footer on some of my pages. Sometimes the gaps are filled with the background color of the colomn and other times they are the body color which is even weirder. An example link would be http://www.mojogar.com/pcRepair.aspx . In IE8 I get a gap on top but not the bottom. In Firefox3 the gap is on the bottom and not the top. ???

/* Tips for this Hybrid layout
1. Since the side columns em-based sizing is based on the user's default font size, you will want to be sure that background graphics in the columns take that into account. Built correctly, this is more accessible for those that need larger font sizes, since the width of the columns remains proportionate. If this is undesirable with your design, simply change the width to a pixel size and be sure to change the margins on the #mainContent div accordingly.
2. Since the sizing of side columns in this layout are based on the 100% font size in the body element, if you decrease the text size overall by using a font-size: 80% on the body element or the #container, remember that the column widths will downsize proportionately. You may want to increase their widths, and the size of the #mainContent div's side margins, to compensate for this.
3. If font sizing is changed in differing amounts on each div instead of on the overall design (ie: #sidebar1 is given a 70% font size and #mainContent is given an 85% font size), this will proportionately change each of the divs overall size. You may want to adjust based on your final font sizing.
4. The #container div is not necessary for this layout at the 100% width. You may want to use it to create faux columns or limit the width of the layout.
5. It is not neccessary to have the 100% width on the #container div since, by nature, a div takes up 100% of the available space. It is here so that if you want to decrease the size of the overall container - perhaps leaving a bit of margin on each side - this will already be available for adjustment.
.thrColHybHdr #container {
width: 780px;
/*margin: 0 auto; the auto margins (in conjunction with a width) center the page if needed */
text-align: left;
padding: 0px;
margin-top: 0px;
margin-right: auto;
margin-bottom: 0px;
margin-left: auto;
.thrColHybHdr #header {
background-color: #C9F76F;
height: 100%;
width: 780px;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
.thrColHybHdr #header h1 {
margin: 0;
padding: 0px;
/* Tips for sidebar1:
1. Be aware that if you set a font-size value on this div, the overall width of the div will be adjusted accordingly.
2. Since we are working in ems, it's best not to use padding on the sidebar itself. It will be added to the width for standards compliant browsers creating an unknown actual width.
3. Space between the side of the div and the elements within it can be created by placing a left and right margin on those elements as seen in the ".thrColHybHdr #sidebar1 p" rule.
.thrColHybHdr #sidebar1 {
width: 13em;
border-top-width: thick;
border-top-style: solid;
border-top-color: #C06;
float: left;
height: auto;
.thrColHybHdr #sidebar2 {
width: 200px;
text-align: center;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
float: right;
/*.thrColHybHdr #sidebar1 h3, .thrColHybHdr #sidebar1 p, .thrColHybHdr #sidebar2 p, .thrColHybHdr #sidebar2 h3 {
margin-left: 0px;*/ /* the left and right margin should be given to every element that will be placed in the side columns */
/* margin-right: 0px;
/* Tips for mainContent:
1. If you give this #mainContent div a font-size value different than the #sidebar1 div, the margins of the #mainContent div will be based on its font-size and the width of the #sidebar1 div will be based on its font-size. You may wish to adjust the values of these divs.
2. The space between the mainContent and sidebar1 is created with the left margin on the mainContent div. No matter how much content the sidebar1 div contains, the column space will remain. You can remove this left margin if you want the #mainContent div's text to fill the #sidebar1 space when the content in #sidebar1 ends.
3. To avoid float drop, you may need to test to determine the approximate maximum image/element size since this layout is based on the user's font sizing combined with the values you set. However, if the user has their browser font size set lower than normal, less space will be available in the #mainContent div than you may see on testing.
4. In the Internet Explorer Conditional Comment below, the zoom property is used to give the mainContent "hasLayout." This avoids several IE-specific bugs that may occur.
.thrColHybHdr #mainContent {
text-align: center;
margin-right: 0px;

• How do I Create an Android Certificates for Phone Gap?

I wanted to know how to create an Android Cerficiate that I can use in Phone Gap. I tried to use the certificate that I created in Flash but apparently Phone Gap is no longer accepting these kinds of certificates.
If anyone knows of a straight-forward, designer friendly article or resource that explains how to do this, it would be much appreciated. Flash makes its super simple to create an Android Certificate.

Thank Nancy. This is helpful.
However, Flash Professional has built-in panel that allows you to create an Android certificate in under 30 seconds.
The information from Android and Phone Gap is helpful but seems to be unecessarily clunky. Since this is my first time creating an Android certificate (outside of Flash) it looks like this process will take a few hours (or more) assuming trial and error and reading through the documentation.
I was just wondering if there is a simpler solution available, something similar to the process in Flash Professional.

• How can I get Firefox to fill my screen? There are gaps in the top and bottom of my screen, thanks.

I dropped my laptop recently and messed up the hard drive so after installing new hard drive I reloaded win 7 and Mozilla Firefox. When Firefox loads up there is a 1" plus gap on the top and a half inch gap at the bottom of all pages. How can I get the browser to fill the screen? Thanks.

This website is using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving and filling the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save names and passwords and other form data.

Whether or not the command Delete and Close Gap works is typically dependent on the content above and below the
spot where you want to delete and close gap. Manual closing of the gap (with care) with the mouse cursor may be your way.

• Have a gap in detail of first page and not display group footer on each pag

Please help me about Memo field in SubReport in CrystalReportXI. I have a SubReport that need to display pageheader, detail, page footer, and in detail of subreport contains memo field and set the property of this text box to "Can Grow" = Yes .However, CrystalReportX does not support to display pageheader, pagefooter in SubReport. So. I have created a formular FakePageHeader that has code as
"WhileReadingRecords;
true"
and group in this field and checked option repeat group header on each page and right click Section Expert->check print at Bottom of page for Group Footer.
This problem is when I preview Subreport. It display text in group header and a gap in detail of first page and view next page, the subreport display right data of memo field. But the report still not display group footer on each page.
How do I can remove a gap in first page and display group footer on each page?
Thanks

in subreport in format for the memo field uncheck keep object together.
You can not force group footers to repeat on each page.
I have not tried this but you might be able to capture the data you want to show in SR page footer and display in main report page footer, using shared variables.

• Gap on each page of resume (template)

Pretty sure I started my resume using the elegant resume template on Pages. With that it created a large "header" for "company name" etc. with decorative line. I have this on my resume with my name above the line and address below the line and when you click on it it's all one moveable object (unlike in the template, I don't remember what I did to do that).
Also note that this "header" is not actually within the document header section.
Everything looks great but on each subsequent page there is a large gap as if the name/address object is there on each page even though it is not and I can't get rid of this gap.

Using multiple returns is a very crude and amateurish way of laying out text.
Firstly determine what should and should not be in the Headers and Footers. Company Name and Address should not be in the Header if they are only required once on the front page. They should be in a floating TextBox or part of the Initial Text.
Headers and Footers should be reserved for what they are meant for, repeating elements like Chapter titles and page numbers.
To maintain the necessary spacing to the text under use Space after paragraph.
In Pages '09 you can do this more neatly with First Page is different and using a Layout Break to start the page lower.

Any ideas?

Hi,
0x8024402C WU_E_PT_WINHTTP_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED
Winhttp SendRequest/ReceiveResponse failed with 0x2ee7 error. Either the proxy server or target server name cannot be resolved. Corresponding to ERROR_WINHTTP_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED.
Stop/Restart service or reboot the machine if you see this error frequently.
Since the server is not connect to the internet, at least it should have an available upstream server. Did you configure it correctly? The error message indicate that the
name could not resolved, make sure you can resolve the name of the upstream server. Run nslookup check the result.
If it is the only WSUS, then give it internet connection and test.
Hope this helps.

• How can I fill gaps in timeline PrE12?

I am at my wits' end.
I have a rather complicated project (instructional video) with native audio, sound track, Vid track with numerous short clips, freeze frames and color mattes, plus many titles of varying lengths.
I discovered that a couple of the titles were too short--so I made them longer (from 6 sec to 10 sec).
I then discovered that PrE12 had decided to cut the soundtrack, the native audio and the Vid track and slide everything to the right along the timeline, leaving 4 second black holes to correspond to the increased length of the titles I changed. (I didn't see this when it was happening due to lack of vertical viewing area.
OK, fine, click on a black hole and hit backspace. It worked. Go on the the next one. Nada. Click the stubborn black hole again and hit Delete. Nada. Right click the black hole and do a Delete and Close Gap. Grayed out.
OK, plan B: painstakingly select all the many clips to the right of the black hole in the Vid track, Group them, and slide left. Being sure that they weren't Grouped or Linked to anything else. (This was due to the one gap successfully being closed in the Vid track only, thus leaving an imbalance among the tracks--the Vid track with one less black hole than all the others.
Result: everything on every other track slides all the way to the right, past the end of the Vid track.
So now I have an unbroken Vid track and all the other tracks in two pieces separated by a huge gap.
Undo. Try adding a blank track in between. Same result. Try Un-enabling all the stuff I don't want to affect. Same result.
So here I am with a total mess. I can of course use History to get back to the status quo ante but that doesn't solve the problem of how to increase the duration of a couple of clips (in this case Titles, but the problem is there no matter what track or type of media I'm working with) without everything else moving around.
I can't believe that a program could be this poorly designed; there has to be a way to do this. "This" being the addition of a bit of duration to a couple of clips without trashing all the other tracks.
All ideas gratefully accepted.

How do I do that? Don't see any option for it.
Thanks. Never mind--I'll try the camera icon.
1. Timeline after adding items--sound track is chopped up. Other tracks will be chopped up as well. Sound track is not grouped with or linked to anything else.
2. Slide sound track clip to left to fill the gap--this pushes everything else all the way to the right. (Scale is reduced to enable effect to be seen.)
The same thing happens, as described above, with titles--make them longer, gaps appear in the other tracks. Slide a clip to the left to close the gap, everything else jumps all the way to the right.
Insanity-producing.

• How do I get my menu bar at the top of the page with no gaps?

How do I get my menu bar at the top of the page with no gaps? Whenever I move it there is a huge gap at the top of the page which I cant seem to get rid of, i posted about this before but none of the suggestions seemed to work for me. i'm not very good with css so im not really sure where to find the problem. There are generally gaps everywhere which looks at absolute mess, no clue how they got there and why, there is a huge gap underneath my menu bar too which wasnt there before. how do i get rid of this too? its probably some padding a or margin but no clue where.
