Gap between display rubber seal and case

A few days ago I got my MBP 13" shipped. (mid 2010 version)
Soon after unpacking I spotted a little gap between the black rubber line and the aluminum frame on top of the screen. The gap is approx. 0,3mm wide in the middle and covers 2/3 of the top of the screen's top. The other borders and the corners are fine; not even the slightest gap between rubber and frame.

Is this something to worry about? Does it affect the hold of the display or would dust be able to get behind the glass?
If not, I'm perfectly fine with it. I really love my MacBook just how it is. I'm only concerned about possible risks. The MacBook has to endure some years now after all

Gap between plastic front panel and metal band

hello, i have noticed a gap between the front plastic and the metal band when taking the iphone off a case. theres a 1mm gap between the plastic and metal, and 3 small cracks along the edge of the plastic, 2 at the top and 1 at the right side. the gap is at the top of the phone from the power button to the edge. the front glass doesnt fit perfectly anymore because the top end of the plastic is raised whilst the rest is flat.
how do i get it repaired?

This damage is to the front screen assembly. This is handled at Apple Store with perfect Replacement iPhone 4 exactly like yours for $149. Maybe much care, skill and very small, less than drop of super glue, will correct this.

How can I get rid of the gap between the banner image and the menu below it?

Please explain, what is the center element as in line 43 with the closing tag on line 94?
Also, wrapping the banner image in a paragraph element ensures that you will have a margin and/or padding above and below the element unless you specifically change the style rules to eleminate the marging and/or padding.
The quickest solution is to remove the center element (which does not exist) and change the paragraph elemnt to a div element.

Slight Gap Between iPhone 5 Screen And Bezel

Hi people out there , i noticed that on the top of my iPhone 5 White , there is a slight gap between the silver bezel and the screen . That only exist on the top , but on the side and bottom of the phone , everything is fine . So is anyone having this same issue as me ? Will it affect anything or should i just bring to apple ?

Spectre 13" 3004TU Ultrabook F4A28PA Display rubber seal leaking fluid at bottom of screen

I have a Spectre Ultrabook 13" for which I paid a pretty penny - top of the line specs (i7, 8gb ram, 256 GB SSD etc).
Naturally, having spent so much I have treated it with kid gloves - however, I have noticed small amounts of a clear, oily residue appearing on the screen below the rubber display seal at the lower left and right hand side of the screen. It sits on the glass bezel and smears when touched. It also transfers to the laptop metal opposite the screen when closed, appearing again, as an oily clear fluid. I have not had any luck discussing this with HP reps (in India, presumably - I might as well be speaking Swahili, for all the help they have been).
My initial thoughts are that it may be a solvent which may have been used to attach the rubber seal to the display? is it the rubber breaking down? I have been advised there is no oil-type dampening fluid used in the hinge, so I'm at a loss. Of course, HP, ever helpful have already advised that although the laptop is still under warranty, I will possibly be liable for any costs. Wonderful!
Have been asked to call the HP 'Service Centre' in Brisbane, Australia for advice and to book it in. Naturally again, this service has been outsourced to a provider called 'AWA', and so far, after being on hold for over an hour, I'm still waiting to get through.
This will be the last HP product I ever buy, and no, I won't be recommending their products - on the contrary, I'll be sure to advise everone I can that if this is the standard of after-sales service, steer clear!

IPhone 5 - gap between display and metal frame

Hello, I have an iPhone 5 black and I found out that on top between metal frame and display is a gap where I can fit a paper. Is it okay? What should I do?

Have the same issue & plan to send to Apple to replace/repair. Was wondering if you know by chance how long this fix will take?
(Tried to reopen my support case to ask Apple directly but it keeps failing to open)

A slight gap between display and the aluminium housing

I just bought an iMac 2 months ago. Recently, while dusting off the display, I noticed a slight opening (about 2mm) between the display and the housing on the top side of my iMac. I worry that dust might accumulate inside the display over time.
Has anyone seen something similar on their iMac? Could this be a defect?

Yeah, it's a defect alright. Just over the weekend, a yellow vertical line appeared towards the middle of my screen. I think this might be permanent, and somehow related to the slight opening on my iMac.
Called Apple Support. Was hoping they would exchange the entire machine for me, but no such luck

Gap between left side of top case and bottom case(white)

I bought this white macbook about one month ago, then I find a gap.
When I went to service provider, they said that it's a problem during product and can not been solved. My friends who also buy macbook white recently have this problem too.

German version - gap between expiration of beta and availability

All,
my beta 4.1 will expire on Feb 28th, but the German version will be available "most likely in March", as the Adobe website tells me. And in the meantime? Has anybody any information on how to proceed? Can I buy the English version and change the language afterwards?

HP dv6-2140 ed. Gap between plastic frame and screen

Hi!
I have bought my HP laptop 20 days ago and have noticed that the plastic frame around the screen is firmly attached on it at the bottom and sides, but not at the top of it (where the webcam is). Whenever I move the screen towards me, a 3mm gap between the plastic frame and the screen appears. Is this a problem or a factory characteristic of all HPs?

wait a second...it may just not be bolted down correctly. All display panels are the same thickness and the plastic casing has to snap tight around it. I could see the plastic casing just coming unsnapped. If you are not handy you may need to send it in for service but if all it takes is snapping the display casing down you could do that without affecting the warranty. .

Gaps between chrome bezel and screen

I just noticed that I have 2 gaps between the chrome bezel and the screen of the phone. It's not noticeable in bright light, like when I'm outside, but when I get a call or message at night I notice the light from the phone coming through the two gaps. Is there anything I can do? Will the warranty cover this? I know it is only two small gaps, but it just really bothers me knowing that there is a problem with my iPhone.

I have been through 7 Iphone 3G's and if that is your only issue than my advice is to leave it alone. Out of all the phones, I have still been unable to recieve a phone in perfect condition. The one I have now was out of a brand new box and still has very minor light leakage and a few pieces of dust under the screen. The dust is only noticable in direct sunlight. So just to give you a warning if its a problem that you don't notice that often then just let it be. If its a problem that bugs you then exchange it, but that doesn't mean the next phone won't have the same problem. I think all 7 phones I have received has had some sort of light leakage. Gap between stainless band and the glass

My new iPhone 4 has a gap between the stainless band and front glass. Where the headphone jack is. The gap is around 0.5 mm and I can stick a paper in there. Is this normal?
I'm thinking of returning my iPhone and get a replacement if possible.

I've pretty much got the same thing. All four corners of my back glass have the slightest of a gap. You can really only see it when held up to a bright light. I can only slip receipt paper in there. Regular paper is too thick. I've had the phone a little over a week now and it's a week 41 build. I've considered exchanging it (the home button also isn't quite flush) but everything works and nothing seems to glitch so I'm leery of getting one with a worse problem. I've still got a couple weeks to exchange for new so I'll see what happens. Far as the slight gap being normal, probably not, but many seem to have it. If it gets any bigger it's going back for sure.

You are simply missing a closing </div> tag.
Change this:

Gap between lcd and digitiser

Any one find the gap between ipad air lcd and digitiser annoying? I mean it could be better if they were one. Sometimes when tapping a little hard on th screen makes sound as if ita hollow inside.

I never noticed it before, but yeah it has a larger gap on the right side than on the left...
But hey, I look at the screen not at the gap. I'm happy to have an anti-glare IPS screen.
