Gap between left side of top case and bottom case(white)

I bought this white macbook about one month ago, then I find a gap.
When I went to service provider, they said that it's a problem during product and can not been solved. My friends who also buy macbook white recently have this problem too.

A bookmarks list has appeared on the left side of my screen and I can't get rid of it. Tried restore and even uninstalled & reinstalled Firefox 4.

I don't know what I can add. The bookmarks list is on the left side of the screen and crowds everything else to the right so that I can't read it. I've tried everything I can think of to move it or get rid of it.

I used Software Update and after installing the items and restarting my computer, I now have a white margin about 1" wide on the left side of my screen and can't get rid of it.

I updated by software by using Software Update. iWork, Java, Remote Desktop, iDVD, iWeb, Mac OSX and iTunes were updated. After restarting my computer I now have a white, 1" margin on the left side of my screen and a 1" black margin on the right side of my screen. I tried changing the Display and it didn't work.

Did you enable your Menu and Sidebar?

Top N and Bottom N

Hi, I have a question about using the top N and bottom N conditions in a query. If I set my condition to show the bottom 1, and there are multiple rows that have 0%, then how does the query determine which row to display as the bottom 1?
I ask this because I have such a query and result set as described above. The bottom 1 that is returned actually shows up in the middle of the list when I display all rows.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

this is an excellent question. It took me a while to find the answer. The OLAP engine is using the standard ABAP SORT statement to rank the values.
TOP N:
SORT c_t_rank BY value DESCENDING.
BOTTOM N:
SORT c_t_rank BY value.
Now the SORT statement does not preserve the original order of the records. If values are identical, the outcome of the sort is not defined. Potenially it could be different every time you execute the query. The SORT statement also has an option to preserve the order of the records, but because this has a performance impact, it is not used by the OLAP engine.

Darker top third and bottom third this AM

I came down this morning and when I woke the computer [PowermacG5] from sleep saw something I'd never seen before = my 30" ACD came up and the top and the bottom 1/3 were darker than the middle 1/3 - I checked the pref. and adjusted the brightness but it didn't improve it = I then rebooted the whole computer and now it's gone = I'm certainly glad it's gone but thought I would ask whether anyone knows the cause/fix etc.
I had just upgraded to 10.4.9 but don't see the correlation, at least yet

Normally a partially dimmed LCD indicates a problem with the back light(s). Assuming the 30" ACD has three (top, middle and bottom), it seems unlikely though that two would temporarily fail simultaneously and then work again after a reboot. I guess one option would be to keep an eye on it to see whether it happens again.

Since, in general, more than one book can have same no_sold, more than 5 books can have top/bottom no_sold. If you want all 5 top and bottom selling books, use:

Where is the photo tab on itunes? My device is not listed on the left side of my screen and there is no photos tab on the right of my screen. I want to delete photo albums that were synced through itunes to my ipad 3.

I synced several photo albums to my iPad 3 from my computer through iTunes. Now, I would like to remove them and have discovered that they cannot be removed except through using iTunes. Instructions that I've read say that once the device is connected to and selected from the list in iTunes, select the Photo Tab and then the folder that contains the photos etc. I never get that far because I do not have a Photo Tab to select in iTunes. How do I find this illusive tab so that I can delete these albums that are merely duplications of other pictures and are just occupying space. I need to get rid of them. Can anyone help me find the photo tab. I cannot move past that step until I do. Also, my device is not listed on the left side as stated in the instructions. It's in the bar on the upper right area of my screen and is automatically selected when connected. I am using the current version 11.1 for iTunes and IOS 7 on my iPad 3, if that helps.

I have the same problem on the latest iTunes software and Windows 7. My window is maximzed and I do not see any tab for photos. Seems related to a recent update (IOS7?) as this was there - at least before the very big change to the interface.

I have a whole history serch panel on the left side of my page, and I don't want it, and can't get rid of it!

You can toggle the History side panel off/on with "Ctrl+H"
The History sidebar work for me if you change the View in the side panel to "By Last Visited".
The sidebars can be accessed or removed through the View (menu) > Toolbars, by clicking on a sidebar to use/replace/drop only one toolbar can be shown at time.
If you don't see the view menu, use the "Alt" key (or "F10")

Freezing while pressing left side of mouse pad and/or using USB port

Man...where do I start....i bought a macbook pro for my son...6 months into it, the laptop started freezing....basically if you keep it on your lap or soft surface and turn it on, while your left hand is pressing on the metal section (left of mouse area) the screen starts to act up and freezes...
I've sent this in 4 times...they replaced the battery light indicator on left side....but now when he uses the USB port on left side same issue reoccurs...

I'd suggest you call the Apple Tech Support line and ask to speak to Customer Relations. It'll take a little effort on your part to get to them, but insist. Go through your story with them and I think you'll get a resolution, possibly a new machine.

Reset Tool Bar on left side, as it disppeared and I'm stuck in Crop Mode

Holy Crap Batman, I've messed around investigating the upper tool selections and before I knew it I had lost the access menu on the left side of the display screen to get into my tools. How do I reset these? Thank-you

Thanks for those answers and I kept searching for the 'magic key' and must have found it. Problem is I downloaded to my Pro360 and everything is micro-sized as far as menu headings and selection buttons. I now have it under control and am taking a CreativeLive Basic Course on Photoshop. I can not get the phone to turn back on. My email had been blinking off so I tried turning it off. After holding down top button and bottom button it the apple sign came up then went out as it has before when I have approached it this way. But now no go.

My phone is dead it will not turn back on after taking a step I have used in the past when I have had issues with the phone. In the past I haeld the top button and the button on the face down and it will turn black then the apple sign comes up then off. I can then turn it back on and it seems to be reset and all is good not so today. It will not turn back on.

1. Plug phone into AC adaptor and charge for at least 30 minutes
2. If not on, reset phone: press both home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.
If no reponse to above, there is hardware damage and you need to take it to Apple or whoever provides iPhone service in your country.

My problem is to find out top and bottom 5 selling books for a particular year.
For example,
For year 2010,

In this way I want to get output for watever year I want.

;What do you want if there happens to be a tie? For example, if you have have 7 different books that only sell 1 copy in the year? (I assume you don;t want to include books that sells 0 copies.) The query above would include all 7 in the bottom 5, because they all have an equal claim to being in the bottom 5. If you want to show exactly 5 books, regardless of ties, then use ROW_NUMBER instead of RANK, and add more expressions to the analytic ORDER BY clauses to choose the 5 you want.
It looks liek there's another part to this problem, which is displaying the book_ids in 2 columns, rather than 1. That's called a Pivot , and how to do it depends on your version of Oracle, and also on how you want to deal with ties. See the forum FAQ {message:id=9360005}
