Gap between plastic front panel and metal band

hello, i have noticed a gap between the front plastic and the metal band when taking the iphone off a case. theres a 1mm gap between the plastic and metal, and 3 small cracks along the edge of the plastic, 2 at the top and 1 at the right side. the gap is at the top of the phone from the power button to the edge. the front glass doesnt fit perfectly anymore because the top end of the plastic is raised whilst the rest is flat.
how do i get it repaired?
thx

This damage is to the front screen assembly. This is handled at Apple Store with perfect Replacement iPhone 4 exactly like yours for $149. Maybe much care, skill and very small, less than drop of super glue, will correct this.

A picture would be very helpful in demonstrating what you are having trouble with.
    Lacking that, I will guess.

  • Gap between plastic base and pressed metal panel

I've just noticed that the seems to be a gap between the plastic base panel and the pressed metal panel containing the keyboard, in the top left corner. This gap widens when the lid is closed, but lightly squeezing the corner with the lid closed closes the gap until the lid is opened again.

  • Gap between glass and metal band.

I have a really thin gaps between the glass and metal band in the upper front and back right corner, and was wondering if anyone else has noticed small gaps between the glass and metal band anywhere on their phone. ive had nothing but crappy customer service at both apple stores near me, but was eventually told by the "genius" that i could come back with another appointment before the 30 days and swap for a new retail phone in the box.
The only thing that worries me is getting a whole new phone with more different problems then the one i have with only the gap issue. The "genius" also told me that im the first one that has had this issue, yet ive seen threads about a month or so ago with people saying they had the same issue. so as an update, has anyone noticed this now?

ya, but this isnt the first time ive had bad customer service with apple. Granted it was a different apple store, but about 3 days after i bought the phone i made an appointment, and took it in for the same separation issue. This time the guy seemed almost clueless as he had to ask his co workers questions i was asking him. Thankfully a manager overheard the situation and informed him that it was an issue that needed to be taken care of. So the guy goes to the back, comes out with a phone from the black box (At the time i had no clue of how the black boxes worked), and i ask if it was a new or refurbished phone, and he assured me it was a new one.
So after inspecting the phone i noticed another gap in the glass and told the worker and he replies with "its not that bad, i dont think yours was that bad either". after seeing the same issue and getting his response, i decided to just keep mine and make a different appointment at another store (Today). Oh, might I add that after we leave the store, my girlfriend tells me that as i picked up the phone to inspect it, the guy rolls his eyes. Just experiences like these leave a biter taste in my mouth. its sad that a couple experiences from non corporate workers would make me start to dislike a company.

  • Save front panels and print them at once

I have a VI that will be executed multiple times with different data, i want each of this front panels to be printed but it has to be one print instruction. I've tried to make an image of the front panel and append this to an Report, but the image is of a bad quality and the image which was made, contained only the view on screen!

If you want a report that is an image of the display screen one thing you can do is create a VI whose front panel is a clone of the application's front panel. The only code behind this front panels would be property nodes to set the clone's front panel to match changes the user makes in the display during execution (for example, a user can change the color of plots, or the such things). It is vital that the diagram of this VI has at least 1 property node, otherwise it will only update if its window is open.
Now as you main application is running it gathers a collection of all the data that you will want to print. When the user then clicks a print button, or the program exits (however you want the program to work) the code would take each dataset and one at a
time pass it to the clone VI and programatically print its front panel.
However, if all you have is tabular data (i.e. no plots or other graphics) I have found it easier to use the report generator VIs, but it's your call.

  • Getting rid of gap  between title banner image  and Spry Menu bar?

    Hi,
    Here's what I have so far :
    http://www.artbywaqas.com/TEST/index.html
How can I get rid of the gap between the banner image and the menu below it?

Please explain, what is the center element as in line 43 with the closing tag on line 94?
Also, wrapping the banner image in a paragraph element ensures that you will have a margin and/or padding above and below the element unless you specifically change the style rules to eleminate the marging and/or padding.
The quickest solution is to remove the center element (which does not exist) and change the paragraph elemnt to a div element.

  • HP dv6-2140 ed. Gap between plastic frame and screen

    Hi!
I have bought my HP laptop 20 days ago and have noticed that the plastic frame around the screen is firmly attached on it at the bottom and sides, but not at the top of it (where the webcam is). Whenever I move the screen towards me, a 3mm gap between the plastic frame and the screen appears. Is this a problem or a factory characteristic of all HPs?
Thank you in advance for your help!

wait a second...it may just not be bolted down correctly. All display panels are the same thickness and the plastic casing has to snap tight around it. I could see the plastic casing just coming unsnapped. If you are not handy you may need to send it in for service but if all it takes is snapping the display casing down you could do that without affecting the warranty. .

  • How to pop up another VI front panel and run this in the main VI?

    Hi all,
I want to create a VI, which contain several buttons: like "RUN ANALYSIS 1" and "RUN ANALYSIS 2".
When I click one of them, another front panel of VI jump out and run automatically. When I click on "Finish" button on this VI (the one jump out), this front panel close.
    How to complete it?
    Thanks,

    Hi Osso,
The ability to click on other VIs is also controlled by the Window Appearance. If you follow Dennis' instructions above, but this time change the Window Behavior to modal.  You can find more information about the different selections in the LabVIEW Help: Customize Window Appearance Dialog Box.

  • How do I input data to a table on the front panel and stop the program immediately as button is pressed?

What should I do if I want to display on the front panel in real time the values from Polarizer #, P1, P2 and the last calculated value (P2/P1 * 100) called T% in a table or some graphical representation like that?  What would I have to do?  It could just be Polarizer # and T% if that would be simpler.  I just want to let the user know the values in a list, spreadsheet or table as they go.  One last thing is that I would like to be able to stop the program at any point in time as soon as the stop button is pressed.  As of now, when the button is pressed it goes through the iteration currently in progress and then one afterwards.  I want the program to end as soon as the stop button is pressed no matter what sequence it is.  What can I do to achieve this?  Could you give me an example or modify my program to show me this.
    Thanks,

Put a single frame sequence structure around your stop button and then wire from the error cluster going into the error handler to the edge of the sequence structure. Now your code will stop at the end of the current iteration. To see why this works, watch you code execute with execution highlighting turned on and review the section of the manual talking about "Dataflow".

  • LabVIEW Remote Front Panels and WebCT or Blackboard Integration

    Hi,
Has any one had any experience with getting LabVIEW Remote Front Panels working with WebCT or Blackboard E-learing software?
Generating the Remote Front Panel is easy enough, it's incorporating the Remote Front Panel into WebCT or Blackboard that am interested in?

    Hi,
Are you using FieldPoint 6.0.2?  We have a Corrective Action Report (#125870) for the remote front panels for the cFP-2220 with LabVIEW 8.6 and FieldPoint 6.0.2.  R&D is currently working on a fix, until then, the only known workaround is to using LabVIEW 8.5.1.

  • Saving Front Panel and desktop settings

When using Solaris 6.X or 7.X, is there a way to save my
    1. Front Panel settings
    2. and desktop setup (currently open windows, their sizes and positions)
so whenever I log off and log back on, my desktop and Front Panel will look exactly the same?
    Thanks,
    George

    Hi,
You're right. This is an otion in the development environment.Go to Operate>>Make Current Values Default. That will make all the values of your front panel controls the default values.
You can also individually set each control default value by right clicking>>Data Operations>>Make Current Value Default.
I also suggest having a look at all these articles/KBs:

    Hi,
I refer to insert it into excel since report is in excel format, but if it's too hard to do so I can save it in another format.
Either way, will labview support this? Anyway, thank you very much for your quick reply.

You are already using the Report Generation Toolkit?  There is the "Append Control Image to Report.vi" that would make this easy.

  • Gap between display rubber seal and case

A few days ago I got my MBP 13" shipped. (mid 2010 version)
Soon after unpacking I spotted a little gap between the black rubber line and the aluminum frame on top of the screen. The gap is approx. 0,3mm wide in the middle and covers 2/3 of the top of the screen's top. The other borders and the corners are fine; not even the slightest gap between rubber and frame.
Here's a picture of it: (You can see dust that already got into the gap on the right side)
    http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/3273/p1060268.jpg
Is this something to worry about? Does it affect the hold of the display or would dust be able to get behind the glass?
If not, I'm perfectly fine with it. I really love my MacBook just how it is. I'm only concerned about possible risks. The MacBook has to endure some years now after all

I visited an ASP today. They said it's nothing to worry about
