Gaps Between Orders while Rescheduling in DS Board
Hi All,
After rescheduling is carried out on DS board , I observe that there are gaps between orders on the resource and the sequence of orders have been changed.I am planning in forward direction and the scheduling mode used is insert operation.
I need help in understanding the presence of gaps and why does rescheduling change sequence of orders.
Thanks,
Shweta
Hi Thomas,
Thanks for your valuable response.
By using "Interrupt" functionality in DS board, the partially confirmed operations can be rescheduled, but when you double click on this operation, you will see the checkbox "Part.Conf." is removed.
Now customer want to see this flag stays to be set, so as to configure the color for this partial confirmed operation, and meanwhile to enable the rescheduling functionality.
Is it possible? Any enhancement we have to do for this requirement?
Looking forward to your reply.
Best regards,
Cherry

Gaps between header/footer and main content
I am building upon a website that somebody else previously worked on. When adding to the main content, gaps appear between the header/footer and the content. How can I fix this?

CS5 Multiple page sizes leaves a gap between pages on a spread
I'm laying out a 6pp DL leaflet.
I've set up page 1 as 97mm wide, pages 2 & 3 as 100mm wide. This is the usual way to set up a 6pp DL, only before CS 5 you would have to do it the long way round.
Only it seems when you have different page sizes in a spread it leaves a gap between the pages when there is an alternative page size, rather than butting the pages together.
How can I get rid of the gap between pages in order to print it as spreads?M Blackburn wrote:
I just completed a job that has six pages of varying widths in one spread. Trying to drag the pages into place just doesn't work. You have to use the Control Panel. Select the pages (with the Page Tool) and make sure the X co-ordinate for the top left matches the width of the adjacent page. After two pages, you have to do the math, or move your rulers to the next page.
I don't know what you were doing, but Steve's method works perfectly for me. As long as shuffling is disallowed on a spread the pages will not separate. In fact, I've not found a way to create a gap between pages that are joined as a spread, even two page spreads for which shuffling is allowed, so perhaps I don't understand the question at all. -
I recently downloaded FF 4.I'm not technically savvy, and was a bit confused to see a drop down menu and the word "Firefox".
I didn't like the new set-up and managed to delete it, in favor of the logo.
Now,the opening page is in the background and there is a one-inch gap between the logo and the search engine. Is there a way to have a space reduction?
F11 is NOT a resolution. You can make FF4 look like FF3 by doing the following.

* Right click a blank part of the tab bar and click "Tabs on top" to remove the checkmark. Tabs will subsequently reappear below the search bar.

* Repeat the same steps, but click the top one called "Menu bar". This will reinstate the text links at the top.

* To rearrange the layout, repeat the same steps again and choose "Customize". A panel will open and while that remains onscreen, you can move elements like toolbars, buttons etc around and place them anywhere you wish. You can also drag anything you don't like into that panel and add anything you want by dragging it out of there.

* To replace the status bar at the foot of the page, install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/

-

and i want to find the first whole start - end period in this example start : 15:30 - end 17:30 (merging record 1&2 )
but not the third one for example not 15.30 - 22:00 or not 15.30 23:55 because there are gaps between end dates.
how can i do this using lead&lag ?
I'm not sure if this is the best approachMaybe a baby-step solution
select event_start,event_end

then lead(event_end,1) over (order by event_start)
when lag(overlap,1) over (order by event_start) is not null
then null
end
else event_end
end event_end
from (select event_start,event_end,
case when lead(event_start,1) over (order by event_start) <= event_end
or lag(event_end,1) over (order by event_start) >= event_start
then 'overlap'
end overlap
from mybatchtab
where event_end is not null
order by event_start
EVENT_START
EVENT_END

08/12/2013 17:30:00
08/12/2013 20:00:00
08/12/2013 22:00:00
08/12/2013 22:45:00
08/12/2013 23:55:00
or when there can be more than two consecutive overlaps
select event_start,
event_end
from (select case when lag_overlap is null
then event_start
end event_start,
case when coalesce(lead_overlap,lag_overlap) is null
then event_end
when lag_overlap is null and lead_overlap is not null
then lead(event_end) over (order by event_start)
end event_end
from (select event_start,event_end,
case when event_start < lag(event_end) over (order by event_start)
then 'overlap'
end lag_overlap,
case when event_end > lead(event_start) over (order by event_start)

5800 - How can i remove gap between tracks?
Hi guys, as the subjects says...Is there any way to remove the gap between tracks in order to get a continuous play with seperate songs in the XM 5800?
Thanks.I know what you mean - some albums sound much better without the half second (or more) gap between tracks when playing in continuous mode (not usually necessary for shuffle mode). E.g. MediaMonkey on the PC works pretty great with Ministry of Sound albums for example - I suspect we'd have to have a new audio player in a firmware release. Here's to dreaming!
If I've helped, please hit Kudos! I could do with a little kudos in my life. -
Hi All,
We are in between of taking decision that either we should include the role generation step in your methology process or not for role creation process via ERM.
We have Sp13 patch 2 installed in our landscape.
we trying to find out if there some major gaps between pfcg & ERM. or any major issue in SP13 patch 2 that should be kept in mind before including role generation step. Please share your experiances.
Kind Regards,
-SrinivasanHey Srinivasan,
Haven't heard from you in a while!
I am not particularly fond of ERM...
There is one limitation that I can think of if you have manually added objects in a role, they disappear after you make changes to the transaction in a role. This was however fixed in SP14. Sometimes that can be problematic.
Another thing that I would have liked ERM to do is to transport roles across the ERM landscape. That comes in handy if you have a 3 system GRC landscape. Other wise you just have to repeat the tasks if importing roles again.

I have a document with pages on spreads. I want to have a gap between the pages. It is for a set of cards and I need some space around it for the bleed. I found out I have to use the page tool for this. However the x value is greyed out so I'm not able to adjust this. How can I fix this?
TIA
BernetAnother suggestion: don't use spreads for your document.
Then create a new innd document with facing pages and import your PDF into them. So you can preview your work.
Another trick would be to set up your master page like with 3 facing pages.
Select the inside page in the Master page panel, and set up a personalized size (at least twice the value of the bleed).
This is definitely not a very orthodox way and you might encounter difficulties when creating 3 new pages:
if you allow redistribution, only 2 pages will face, if you don't, they'll face the previous ones...
Drag and drop all 3 together will do the trick.
InDesign Help | Managing pages and spreads
OR create 3 different masters, one for front, one for back, one for gap (with smaller width). Better way if you need different master for Front and Back cards.
Both ways: main problem will be exporting: you'll need to be careful not to export the "gap" pages... That will be a hassle.
Anyhow, it's a trick, not a solution really...
Edit : while I was writing all this, many suggestions have been sent... better than mine (I could delete it but I just leave for information purpose)
However please note you might also encounter difficulties:
Peter's old school solution is fine but, your printer might not like "artificial" crop marks. If you use this solution, make sure his imposition software don't make a mess...
Winterm's one is just what you were looking for I guess. I just hope you don't have 2 x 500 cards to create otherwise, it will take long time to set up every set of cards..
Sorry I didn't understand Ellis' answer... -
Playback without gaps between tracks... ?
Please can someone help me. I have lots of mixed CDs and would like to listen to them on my Nano without the standard 2 second gap between tracks!
Any ideasThis question is one that crops up a lot on these forums and has been a major source of complaint for as long as the iPod has been in existence.
Currently the only way to eliminate the gap between songs is to import the cd as one track. You do this by using the “join cd tracks” option in the advanced menu of iTunes.
Make sure the tracks are in their correct order, and highlight those you wish to join.
No gaps, but the downside is that you will of course lose the ability to navigate between tracks, and the song info is also lost. The iPod will display the cd title in the song field in the “now playing” screen . You’ll also have one large file instead of a number of smaller ones.
Be aware also that playback of single large audio files can shorten battery playtime between charges.
If you would like to see gapless playback implemented to the iPod, add your voice to the many here.
iPod Feedback. -
I've noticed that there's a small, but noticeable, interruption in the flow of music between selections (or bands, or songs, or whatever the correct terminology is) when I load music onto my iPod mini.
In a symphony, for instance, one movement may be broken into a few parts on the original CD. The parts play seamlessly on my regular CD player, and they alsom play seamlessly when I play the CD on my computer. But when I import them to my iPod (even at a higher-quality setting), there's a hiccup for a fraction of a second between parts. I haven't added any extra time between selections and wouldn't know how to even if I wanted to.
This hiccup is rather jarring to listen to.
is such a break part of iPod's structure, part of iTunes? Does anyone know how to overcome this -- such as being able to fuse two selections together so they become one selection? This question is one that crops up a lot on these forums and has been a major source of complaint for as long as the iPod has been in existence.

Gap between screen and bezel should i take it back to apple?
Theres a noticable between the screen and the metal bezel, its currently working fine but i dont want the screen to die or the inside to collect up dust over the years. I only recently purchased the red nano and want this to last for a long while. Is it worth it to bring back to the apple store to get this replaced or are all nanos like this with a gap between the screen and bezel (just towards the bottom of the screen only) thank
You are very welcome, and good luck getting this resolved. Things like damage and scratches have been brought up on here by users in the past with devices and Apple has been pretty good about dealing with the issues.

It's been almost a week since i purchased the z1.As far i see it, its a good all rounder.
today i noticed that there is a small gap between the Display and the metal frame on the lower bottom (Front of phone) .
And dust also is gettin acumulated inside it , i wanna know if this is a manufacturing defect or is it provided to gve sm kinda shock resistance on impact while falling..
I have noticed some other Z1s also with sme kind of gaps.
It will be helpfull if somebody has noticed this, wanna know if this is a manufacturing fault or not !!
Peace outHai there , jus came back from sony service center. They said the gap is not a manufacturing fault, all z1s have a small gap of 0.05mm yo 0.025mm, the gap is provided to help service personals to remove the panel (using tools) in case of any fault .
Peace out -
Gap between plastic base and pressed metal panel
I've just noticed that the seems to be a gap between the plastic base panel and the pressed metal panel containing the keyboard, in the top left corner. This gap widens when the lid is closed, but lightly squeezing the corner with the lid closed closes the gap until the lid is opened again.
