Garageband 10.0.1 mavericks

Question

Garageband 10.0.1 is properly broken for guitar lessons. So glad that it leaves the earlier version (6) in place. Sound disappears. Timing on the count in is wrong (slow then fast on lead in to lesson exercises. You set the monitor to speakers and then lose it again. It keeps reloading Coreaudio. Please consider this product broken for Mavericks and Griffin imic as guitar input. Version 6 still works as well as it did under Mountain Lion.

Same problem here.
Garageband 10.0.1   broke guitar lessons.
When you try to record you own performance, teacher and band sound disappears and is impossible to perform the exercises.
The problem is on 10.0.1 as the first release (10.0.0) still work ok. Even Garageband 6.0.5 (that strangely enough was NON uninstalled, you can still find it as a separate app on your mac, for now at least) is still ok.
They are trying to force me to buy RockSmith 2014  ?
Apple, what the **** are you trying to do with Mavericks ?
There are user reports about a lot of problems (some mac very slow & high CPU & High RAM use & warms up & fan spin up , some have video problems).
Personally [ MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mavericks (10.9) ] I have a slowness problems from the
systemstats process (I'll report about it elsewhere).
I'm unhappy about Maverics overall , it seem to me that Apple rushed out Maverics and deliverd it too early and with too many problems unsolved yet.
They give Maverics for free and that's exactly what is worth: it's worth nothing (for now at least).
I'm unhappy because I'm saddly aware that Apple is trying to save debug money using ALL apple customer to do it. This is the same crappy pratice that Microsoft ( to name the biggest but not the only ) use regularly.
But wasn't Apple suppose to be different?
For now is the same.
And plese, no not suggest me to do NVR reset (I did it already) nor suggest me some other silly "I-do-not-understand-you-problem-but-do-the-reset-reinstall-stock-thing-and-shu t-up" false solution.
For completeness of information: yes, I have a Timemachine backup but NO I'll not waste my time restoring Mountain Lion. That's a Microsoft plague (and horrible frame of mind) that I  NON will follow, I'm sick and tired to have to do a fresh install (or a full restore of a previous version of O.S. that's pratically the same wast of time) because the vendor (Apple or Microsof or someone else) do NON do thing well enough.
For now think that if the situation does not improves (next Maverics upgrades) and I have to re-install, I'll go for Debian instead or something.
