Garageband 10 won't load my Wallander Instruments AU plug-ins

I upgraded to Yosemite and GB 10.0.3 on my PowerBook pro 15" 4GB 2008 laptop. The 6.05 version of GB still works fine, but when I try to load GB 10 I get two messages complaining that the WIVI and WIVI Band AU plugins can't be found: "The plug-in named "WIVI" isn't available on your system". and the same for WIVI Band. The AU components for these are in the proper folders: user/me/Library/Plugins/Audio/Components both WIVI.component and WIVI_Band.component are in that folder.
In GB 10.0.3, under Plug-ins, WIVI is shown checked but greyed out. I assume this is because the file I'm using calls for it.
I have tried deleting the audio cache and it does refresh the au plugins. That doesn't change anything.
I have checked with the Wallander Instruments website and they claim the au plug-ins are 64 bit.

I'm also wondering if this could be a security issue, given that the LIBRARY used is different depending on which user is logged in. I am confused by the fact that my "user" folder is named one thing and my login name is another. I don't know how that happened. I do have two library files and both have the proper WIVI components.

PDF files won't display. Error message "Missing Plug-ins"

Hello. I am having trouble with adobe reader but only certain files. When I first signed up for school in may Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader were required and when I did the check plug-ins system check, both were installed and running just fine. Just in the past 2 days is the check plug-ins test saying Adobe reader is not installed. I have tried un-installing and re-installing but still saying it is not installed. I'm not having troubl with all adobe reader files. I'm an online student and my e-books are opening and displaying just fine. Also my pdf documents saved on my computer are opening just fine. When I try to view a websites brochure, a websites sale paper, or maybe open up an article, the page pops up but the image won't display. It keeps saying "missing Plug-ins". I have a MAC 10.6.8. running on Safari and I have downloaded Adobe Reader 10.1.0. I need to be able to open up articles because I'm doing a homework assignment that requires one. If u can help in any way, please do.

I've tried all the fixes listed in the discussions about missing plug-ins in Mail. None of them worked. I can see attachements in the emails, but when I forward them, the missing plug-in shows up in place of the attachments on the forwarded email. I'm running the latest OS 10.7 on my Mac Pro and I just downloaded the latest Java app. HELP!!

Can you import software instruments and plug-ins from Logic Pro to GB

Hello,
I purchased Logic 7 Pro and I find it to be way too much for me. Is there a way to take the software instruments from Logic to GB? I am not even sure Logic comes with more software instruments than GB. Do they both rely on the Jam Packs for additional instruments.
Is there anything else GB can borrow from Logic. I know I can move the sound effects aif files and use them. Just wondering about other plug-ins and the like.

Here's how you get past the static interruption.
Make your software track and ignore the static interruption. Its not being recorded into the midi information.
Then export the track out and reimport it to a new track. Do this twice. Your export/import WILL have static in it but since it was random your two tracks will not have the static in identical places.
Edit out the static in track one by replacing it with a static-less portion from track two. You'll now have a complete loop with no static interruption.
xs4sis. The cool thing about the demos is you don't have to program anything just use the presets. Who CAN program those **** synths anyway?
There are some demos that have a hundred presets to them. I love that!

My GarageBand doesn't let me to install AU Plug-ins..

Well..I did installed them (and make sure that all files stored in library/audio/plug-ins/components)..but when I open my GarageBand, those plug-ins are not visible under the "effects" or "tone generator" lists. I'm frustrated! (I know I'm not suppose to, but well..I am!). Any idea why this happen???

Photoshop Elements 10 - takes over 4 minutes to load - hangs on "Scanning for plug-ins..."

Since mid-February 2014, having problems with both Photoshop Elements 10 and Photoshop CS4 extended (v 11.0.2) - both take around 4 minutes to load, when previously they loaded very quickly.
In Photoshop CS4 there is no activity on-screen for 2 minutes, then it hangs on the start up screen for another two minutes on "Scanning for plug-ins." Similar issue with Elements 10.
I am running on Windows 8.1, 64-bit. I also have Lightroom 5.4 installed.
Any help gratefully received, as this is driving me mad!

UPDATE: After having had my iPod plugged in for TWO HOURS, it has finally been detected by iTunes.

Garageband won't load song or new track

I've just installed iLife 08 and then Leopard. My problem is that when i try to create a new track, nothing happens. I wait for several minutes, while those funny circular grey things keep turning round and round, and nothing happens.
Then i try to open one of my recently opened songs and.. ..nothing! The only thing that happens is that the window closes.
My only guess why it doesn't work, is that it has to be installed unto the same system, you want it to run on, so i'll have to install it again. On Leopard.
Can that be true or what should i do? (nice rhyme!!)

However, prior to updating, I received these 3 messages:

Menu options won't display in channel strips or plug-ins

Hi peeps, this is what I see whenever I click on, for example, the menu button on Sylenth 2.21 (first pic) or, second example, the Bus button on a channel strip (second pic). No options display - and I have no idea why not. I cannot load a new bank in Sylenth, or many other of my plugins (including Logic's own components) and I cannot assign channels to particular busses. It's a very sad state of affairs.

Garageband Won't Open, Failed Update

Lost my net connection during update of Garageband and now Garageband won't load and now brings up "Unable to Download Application" "Garageband could not be downloaded at this time. I can't even figure out how to reset Garageband and I don't want to lose the songs I've recorded in the app either. Thanks!

I'm sorry, but to get Garageband and iMovie back, you would have to lose all your data. Unless you have the data on an Apple Computer, you would lose your data. To get Garageband back, you would first have to delete it from your iPad. Then, sync with your computer. Then, download Garageband on the iTunes App Store on your computer (not your iPad). Then, just sync again to put Garageband on your iPad.

How do I visually monitor instrumental plug-ins from the SAME computer??

My set-up is noted below. Please note that my audio device for my main computer (the Mac Pro) is the _Motu 2408 MK3_.
For larger sequencing projects, I use up to a choice of three slave computers (an aging Dell Precision Workstation, a Receptor and a MacBook Pro). I am happy to say that all works fine with this set up.
I own many instrumental plug-ins for the MacPro (and the slave computers). Most of the instrumental plug-ins in this computer (and the others) are "powered" by Native-Instrument's Kontakt 2 Player or the full version of Kontakt 2.
For the first time, I was experimenting with the MacPro's IAC Driver. So, for example, I was able to get the piano to play using Kontakt 2 OUTSIDE of the Logic program using the IAC Driver. It is very nice to know that I am able to do this. However, I was not able to visually monitor the audio signal from within Logic as I was playing the piano sound from the "external" Kontakt 2 program. So, to clarify my problem, I could hear the piano, but I could not see the audio signal on the audio meter from within Logic.
First, I tried using the Logic's "*External Instrument*" plug-in. That did not work. Second, communicating with the "external" Kontakt 2 program using Logic's midi instrument via the IAC driver, I tried monitoring the audio signal using an Audio Channel from Logic. I Could not figure out how to route the audio signal so that it could be seen by Logic, so that did not work.
I tried seeing if I could somehow configure the 2408 MK3 driver and CueMix Console. Nothing.
So, here is my question (possibly two questions):
1) Is it possible to configure the MOTU 2408 MK3 device so that I can monitor audio signals from within Logic that originate from instrumental plug-ins activated OUTSIDE of Logic?
If yes, then. . .
2) HOW do I configure the MOTU 2408 MK3 device and/or configure Logic so that the audio signals can be monitored? (And so that I can add EQ and audio effects, etc.??)

I need to clarify myself, I guess. These are not "external" synths in the literal sense. Everything is "internal" within the same computer (the MacPro) as the Logic Pro program. These are instrumental plug-ins like the *Kontakt 2 Player* or the *Kontakt 2* (full version). What I've learned how to do is connect to these instrumental software plug-ins external from the Logic Pro program via the IAC Driver. So, it's all "internal" within the computer, just "external" from Logic. (If that makes sense.)
The reason I'm attempting to connect Logic this way is so that I can use more of the 8 GBs of RAM found within my MacPro. So, in other words, I would use the Kontakt 2 Player as an instrumental plug-in within the Logic Pro program and ALSO connect Logic Pro to the "external" *Kontakt 2 Player* (the _stand alone_ plug-in version) via the IAC Driver.
I can communicate with the stand alone version(s) of Kontakt via the IAC driver. Sound is coming out. However, I have yet to figure out a way route the audio signals from the stand alone plug-in to inside Logic.
I suspect that your suggestion of using an external mixer might be the answer (despite using computer-based instrumental plug-ins). I don't think that there's a way of routing the audio signal from a stand alone plug-in to Logic without the use of some kind of mixer. I most probably will need a digital mixer to take advantage of the 2408 MK3's ADAT digital signals to route the signals back into the MacPro. Sadly, I can't afford a digital mixer at this time.
I don't know. . . .
BUT, like I said in my original post, my CURRENT set-up using the "slave" computers works just fine. I'm just trying to figure out a way to make use of all of my MacPro's 8 GBs of RAM. UGH.

Garageband 10.0.3: old files won't load instrument plug-ins

Hi all,
I've opened up some old Garageband files in GB 10.0.3 and when I add a new software instrument track, I can't load any instruments. It won't play the apple plug-ins or third-party plug-ins(all up to date). If I create a new project, everything works fine. AU units are selected under preferences.
Here's a screen shot of my load attempt. As you can see, instead of instruments, I'm only seeing effects. Any help with this problem is appreciated.

OK. I will give it a shot. I assume I can reload FCPX without having it count as another download from the APP store. I think they have a limit of 5, but maybe that is to different computers.
Thanks for letting me know about having to install in a certain order. I am going forward with FCPX but need to go backwards with FCP7.

ITunes Store won't load up!

Ok, please bare with me as this is a pretty convoluted problem and one I've fruitlessly wrestled with for a few days now.
The iTunes Store in iTunes won't load up and just gives me a never ending white page with the following on the page:
''One Moment Please.Connecting to the iTunes Store.Loading If iTunes doesn't open, click the iTunes application icon in your Dock or Windows Task Bar.''
Now I'm sure most will realise this is the holder page you'd get in your internet explorer when it pings iTunes with a store link to load, and it was when I clicked an iTunes link in Internet Exploroer 8 that this page first appeared in iTunes.
If I try to sign in, I get the (-50) unknown error, and despite all this I am abl to still comunicate with the store - if I right click on a podcast series I've already got in my libary and click 'Update Podcast' I can download podcasts through it giving me a list of undownloaded ones in the series listings in my podcast libary.
I've tried the basics; re-innstalling iTunes and restoring my system to a previous point, but nothing has rid me of this pretty deabilitating problem, and there's such a mmuddle of different problems like tihs it's hard to really get a grip on what's the issue when I'm searching here and elsewhere so I'm, hoping someone here would kindly lend me a hand and give me some directions!
I'll post a copy of a diagnostics run in my next post so you'll have all the information that's needed.

Imovie won't load my itunes music and photos from iphoto. This also does not work on my garageband for itunes music. I have tried backing my itunes media and rebuilding but it has not helped. Anyone with a solution?

Note that you have to actually run the update - where you get the window where you have the choices to "Update" or "Restore" your iPod (you'll of course want to "Update"). It sounds to me like you downloaded the updater but did not actually run it to update your iPod.

(SOLVED)Farmville 2 won't load

Anyone on here play Farmville 2? I have tried multiple times and many different solutions, but I have yet to find out why Farmville 2 won't load. It loads halfway, then stops. I can run the game in Linux Mint, so I'm wondering if there is just some file that I'm missing to run the game. I have installed flashplayer from the repositories, as well as pepperflash from the AUR. Nothing seems to work. It doesn't work on Firefox, either. I have just done a full system upgrade, but nothing related to flashplayer or video drivers were updated. Oh, yes, I'm running the Intel video drivers on my system. I have tried running the Catalyst drivers, and EVERY time I do so, I end up with a blank screen and I have to do a reinstall to fix it. Any help would be appreciated!!!
