GarageBand interface with Pianodisc and Firebox

I have a Piano equipped with Pianodisc hardware that should, in theory, output midi to garage band. I'm using a firebox as an interface. I have tried every connection imaginable, but can't seem to get garageband to recognize the midi output through the firebox. Does anyone have a similar set up and can lend some assistance? Thanks.

As you're using a midi interface, it is this device that GB should detect, not your piano. So - does GB say "1 midi device found" in the Preferences?

I am to prepare a technical document regarding Interface between BW 3.5 and MS outlook and the portal.
When there are errors when loading flat file (i.e. file does not exist, 0 size file) and when the reports do not run right, we will need to send an e-mail to people.

Then create a Web Template in the Web Appication Designer with the web item "Alert Monitor" -> then create iView in Portal...
You can also send notifications from a process chain, when a load is broken e.x.

Why is garageband lagging with audiobus and crashing everytime?

Fricken ****, this is not the first time garageband crashed. I am using the iOS 7.something, the latest, and using the new iPad. Every time after I connect to audiobus and record with iMini or launch key or any other stuff, I will have to re-run garageband and close all those apps used to record, including audiobus. After getting back in, after I change chords or start editing the MIDI, the entire app jams and crashes. When I get back in, I lost everything, all the recording were into half or just a blank purple line. For those instruments, all the MIDI disappear and left a bright green bar there. Fix this in the next update and please add cut off and resonance filters to garageband -.-

Interface with organ

My neighbor has a Johannus organ with midi output. Will garageband interface with the organ?

He has the midi to USB connector. I was wondering how GB would work with the organ. Would it recognize the model? Would it record? Would GB see all three keyboard levels? etc. He has some old PC software that lets him see every slide/toggle on the organ and it's current state. I can't image GB will know that kind of info but recording would be interesting. I don't have access to a laptop or I would just take it over and try. Thanks for the input.

QM interface with WM

Hi Gurus,
I Have a situation where transfer orders are generating based on the storage bin capacity.
For example: when i used GR quantity 3000 LBs, TO is not generated and when i changed the quantity to 1000Lbs TO is generated.
I believe, it has something to do with the Storage bin capacity. Please advice.
We had an issue before when QM views were activated, TO's are not generated. So i made a configuration changes in WM interface with QM and moved to Production client, now we are having this problem.

Configurations i have done QM interface with WM are given below.
Logistics execution -> WarehouseManagement-> Interface->Qualitymanagement->Define Inspection sample Control
Here i maintained Quality control to the Warehouse number.
Logistics execution -> WarehouseManagement-> Interface->Qualitymanagement->Activate QM interim storage type search
Here i assigned Quality control indicators to the warehouce no. and storage type combination.
I believe my issue is not related to the above configuration. It has something to do with the storage bin capacity.

Can I develop an iOS app that can interface with Photoshop?

I want to create an iOS application for interfacing with Photoshop (and other Adobe apps) and I was just wondering if this was possible.
I know there are official Adobe apps that can do this, but I can't seem to find anything on creating one. It will basically be my own version of "Adobe Nav". I find the official app lacking and have an idea of exactly what I want. I don't think I will release the app in the app store unless there are enough people who want it when I post the finished app. I plan to just run it on my own iPad.

I have a M-audio mobile usb audio/midi interface with preamps and fastTrack Pro software that i'm having trouble using with garage band.. I just got this Mac os x 10.4.10 and i'm unfamiliar with GB and how to get a audio signal to register from my mic through the mobile usb audio/midi interface to GB.

Problem Using Zoom H4 as an Audio Interface with Garageband

I'm new to GB and I am having problems getting started using my Zoom H4 as an Audio Interface with Garageband on my iMAC.
I'm fairly certain that I have the connection and all of the setting configurations correct, and yet I cannot get any sound from the H4 into GB.
I do see the sound volume registering in the Input Level window of the H4, but not in GB.
Here is what I see in my Garageband:
Preferences >
Audio/MIDI >
- System Setting
- Built-in Microphone
- Built-in Input
- H4 Audio IN (when H4 is connected to the iMAC via USB)
Of course I have selected the H4.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Operators standing by!

I don't have a H4 but do have a H2. Did you set the H4 as a audio interface, after you plug it in choose interface in the H4 screen?
Did you choose the H4 input channel in the track info?

Problem with FWSM and L3 interface in same switch

I have two 6513s with an 802.1q trunk connecting them. Each switch has redundant Sup720s running in Native mode, IOS ver 12.2(18)SXF (they were initially running SXD3). A FWSM (ver 2.3(3), routed mode, single context) is in each switch, setup in failover mode.
I can not get a PC, in a vlan that has the layer 3 interface defined on the switch with the active FWSM in it, to communicate with devices "behind" the FWSM. If I move the layer 3 configuration for that vlan to the other 6513, everything works fine.
The MSFCs are on the inside of the firewall, they have a layer 3 interface configured in the same vlan as the FWSM "inside" interface. Several "same security level" interfaces are defined on the FWSM and used to protect server farms. I am using OSPF on the MSFCs and FWSM and the routing table is correct.
The FWSM builds connections for attempts made by the PC with the layer 3 interface defined on the same switch as the active FWSM just fine, so this is not a FWSM ACL problem.
A ping of the FWSM "inside" interface from a PC with the layer 3 interface defined on the same switch as the active FWSM fails, even though debug icmp trace on the FWSM shows the request and the response. A packet capture, using the NAM-2, shows only the request packets. I have captured on the common vlan and the FWSM backplane port channel interface.
Just to add to the confusion, if I capture in the same places, but do the ping from a PC that is in a vlan with the layer 3 interface defined in the 6513 that does not contain the active FWSM, which works fine, I see the request and reply on the common vlan capture, but only the request on the port channel capture.
This problem has been there from the beginning of this implementation and has not changed with IOS and FWSM software upgrades. I have experienced this with any and all vlans that I tried to define the layer 3 interface for on the switch with the active FWSM. I have MLS turned on.
If anyone else has experienced this and solved it, or knows what is going on, I would appreciate any insight.

I will have to get setup to record more data, but I do know the FWSM showed a ping request and a ping reply at the "inside" interface.
I believe my problem is related to the IOS command "firewall multiple-vlan-interfaces" which I put in place to allow IPX traffic to be brought around the FWSM. The little documentation that there is for this command, states that policy routing may need to be implemented to prevent ip packets from going around the firewall. I do not have any policy routing in place.
I also do not have any active layer three interfaces defined for any of the vlans assigned to the firewall except the "inside" interface. So my resoning was that I did not need to be concerned about ip packets having a way around the FWSM. My suspicion is that this command and the fact that I have mls on is causing some type of a problem which results in the packet being "lost" when it needs to be going through the MSFC in the switch with the active FWSM to get to the PC. Hopefully that makes some sense.
Do you have any idea where better documention on using the "firewall multiple-vlan-interfaces" may be, or a better explanation of all that is happening inside the switch when that command is used?

I waste a lot of time entering information because you can't go to a specific day and enter information, nor can you navigate between months and add information on a specific date by clicking on the date. You can't easily scroll month-to-month and once you do by scrolling through nine months to get to where you want to be, you cannot enter information by clicking on a specific day in the month and entering information. I just called Apple and they verified that this is the way it works. You cannot go to a date and enter information, you keep getting thrown back to today and then you have to go into the calendar and change it manually on the screen. It is just not efficient.

Poor interface with Adobe CS4 and setting the file size for emails

In frustrations over an unfixed bug in iPhoto (slide shows) in addition to too many limitations, I am trying out Aperture. So far it has been a big disappointment. I like Photoshop (CS4) with layers etc. as well as Adobe Camera Raw, both of which I intend to continue using. The workflow in Aperture appears disappointing (Photoshop) and totally absent (Adobe Camera Raw). It seems like Apple's attempt to capture some of Adobe's market share has has happened on the consumer's expense? Besides disappointing functionality, I have run into a surprising problem: No matter how I set the email photo export preset in preferences, the attachment shows up as a large file when exported to Entourage. The size does not change no matter how I set this preference.
My 21 years of loyalty and enthusiasm towards Apple has taken some heavy blows lately. With some 15000 photos and 35+ albums in iPhoto, I don't see too many alternatives. Can someone tell me if there is a way around these problems.

First of all I am not comparing Aperture to Photoshop by expecting the layers function. It is the interface between the two I am questioning. We obviously also have different expectations to Aperture. Mine are solely based on my experiences with iPhoto and what Apple tells me on their website:" Aperture 3 is a professional photography application that lets you refine images, showcase your photography, and manage massive photo libraries. Aperture 3 gives you all the easy-to-use tools you need to import, organize, compare, enhance, and share your photos." I do not find a single sentence stating that it is primarily a "Raw image editor processor" as you are defining it. I was not looking for a new raw editor. I was, however, based on Apple's claims above, expecting a combined advanced editing an photo library application. As such I also expected layers. That is not comparing it to Photoshop. Naturally our views are based on expectations and experiences, and ours are just different, that is all.

TrueTime Card and how to interface with dll file!?

I am trying to interface with a PCI-SG 2U (IRIG) timing card (Used to made by TrueTime, now Symmetricom). Does anyone have a solution for this card in LV 2009?
If not, can anyone give advice on writing code to interface with .dll file? I am not sure how to pass through the "GENERIC_READ | GENERIC_WRITE" into the function to open the device. The function says to open it is:
TT_OpenDevice(boardID, GENERIC_READ | GENERIC_WRITE, &hDevice)
No clue on how to pass this in. Can anyone help?

Thanks Mike. I do have the .h file and the sdk information. I went through and used the Import>Shared Library Tool and was able to find all the header information that way. I guess that my problem/question is, the documentation says that it is a DWORD to pass as an input, but LabVIEW says it is a uint32. I guess the real question is, what the heck do I pass in to the dll function? Should it be the string "GENERIC_READ | GENERIC_WRITE" or something else?
