Garageband recognize USB MIDI device - Still will not play.

I am using the newest version of Garageband with Yamaha YPG 525 keyboard connected via USB as a MIDI controller. Drivers installed successfully. This is not my first Yamaha keyboard used with Garageband. This issue I'm having is that under System Preferences it shows the MIDI device connected but will not allow me to select as the "input" device. It shows up in the "Audio MIDI Setup" app, and I've selected the "Send All Notes On" under the Yamaha driver application listed in System preferences. It's getting very frustrating because clearly GB sees it's there but just refuses to make playing it an option. I have searched dozens of forums but cannot find someone having the same issue. Please help!

(korg midi device is still not working in daw though. )

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

To give you some precise answer it will be interesting to know which DVDs are not readable. Meaning of word 'some media' is to general and not helpful to understand the problem.
Satellite A30 is pretty old notebook model and it is possible that ODD functionality is not good anymore. You can try to clean the lens.

DVD studio Pro discs still will not play

Hi Folks,
no matter what settings I change in DVD studio pro they will not play on computers or any DVD player I try.
If I print a copy off with a consumer platform like toast they play it fine....
what are the settings I need toadjust to ensure they are compatible on ALL dvd players, computers....blue ray players??

My thoughts about this (for what it might be worth)
• Brand of DVD matters - Memorex, NoName etc cheap brands use to work as Data-DVDs BUT NOT FOR VIDEO !
I only use Verbatim (but would love to try Tayio Yuden)
• Type of DVD used.
DVD-R plays on even older DVD-Players - DVD+R not so and especially avoid DVD+/-RW as they use to NOT WORK
• BURN SPEED - Faster ====> More Burn Errors !
I set it down to x2 or x4 at MAX - this use to be the problem when DVD doesn't play on PC ore even the Mac who burned it.
• HD-DVD - Needs dedicated Toshiba HD DVD-players to be able to be played
• Blu-Ray - Roxio Toast™ incl BD-component can do thus BUT the resulting BD-Disk or BD on DVD disk is in AVCHD
SO BD-Player must be able to play it
- Cheap Samsungs DO NOT
- PlayStation3 CAN PLAY them !

After reinstall to fix problems with update mobile devices still will not sync

As many noted latest updated hosed iTunes. I followed instructions, deleting everything and re-instaling. iTunes will now play but will not sysc to iPod, Nano, iPad, or iPhone. Any suggestions?

Try holding down CTRL as you launch iTunes to see if it will repair the drivers.

Which version of Flash did you reinstall? 
IE uses the ActiveX version, where other browsers need the Plugin version of Flash.
Here's the "drill" for installing Flash for Firefox.
1.Download the Flash Plugin version setup file from here:

Save it to your Desktop. 
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit

Safari does not recognize flash plug-in and will not play flash video

I use Safari as my go-to browser for web sites that would otherwise require me to turn off my several ad-block/flash-block plugIns for Firefox. I do have it set to ask for permission ('Trust this site?') for every time I use flash on a new site (since I reset Safari regularly and clear all cookies every time I close it this means every time, every site, it asks). New problem started sometime in the past week: Safari is returning a 'download flash' icon on some videos on some web sites--but on others it correctly goes through the 'trust this site to use flash?' routine and when I click 'trust now' it plays the video normally. Trying to figure out if this is a Safari problem, flash problem, or web site problem. How can Safari both recognize that flash is being asked for (that's why it shows me the 'download flash now' icon, right?) and not recognize that it has flash installed?

Adobe loaded but video still will not play

I want to watch a vidoe on the bbc. It says, '
Cannot play media. You do not have the correct version of the flash player. Download the correct version', so I click on thr blue type and I download adobe 11, but when I go back to the bbc I get the same message? My YouTube account is now also saying I need to download an update in order to watch videos. Can anyone help?

Thanks. I tried the various options under 'Flash Player Help | Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows', I uninstalled and then reinstalled, but it is still not working ie when I click on a video it says I need to install flashplayer. When installing ir said successful installation. Ive also gone into Internet Options and my security settings seem to be the correct ones.
The flashplayeer I installed (or tried to install is 11.4), and at the same time Google Chrome was installed. I have not been able to unistsall Google Chrome (I thought its installation might have been part of the issue). I dont know if it could be part of the problem?
My PC has Windows 7. When I said 'download' in my initial post, I meant install.

Music was authorised, but it still will not play

Bought a new iMac.
Was asked to authorise some songs in iTunes that I bought years ago using an email address that I no longer use. When I bought it, there does not seem to have been any Apple IDs at the time, as I had to create a new Apple ID to get into the account.
I authorised the computer tp play these songs. ITunes told me that this was the 1st computer authorised (not correct as I can play it on my old MacBook Pro).
I still cannot play it on my new iMac.
What can I do?

I bought a movie on itunes, it would not play. I contacted apple support people, and they told me to delete and re download it, I did that and it still will not play, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if my itunes isn't up to date, or maybe it's because I'm not trying to play it on an apple device. Whatever the case me be, I just really want to watch this movie, or get a refund.

You should be able to play films on windows computers, if it wasn't compatible with it (e.g. you should have got an error if you tried to buy an HD film on non-HD compatible computer).
The current version of iTunes is 11.4 - you can see if there are any updates available via the Help > Check For Updates menu option.

What happens when you try to play the film, and do other videos that you have in your iTunes play ok ?

The following article provides the necessary steps for downloading previously purchased content in SD.
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer. You can download the latest version for free here.
Open iTunes on your computer.
From the Store menu, choose Store > Sign In, and then enter your Apple ID and password.
Navigate to your Purchased page. Find it by clicking Movies or TV Shows from the top navigation bar in the iTunes Store, and then click Purchased from "QUICK LINKS" in the iTunes Store.
Choose the appropriate video type: Movies or TV Shows.
In the lower-right corner of the screen, deselect the box next to "Download HD When Available."
Search for the desired video and click the download button.
This should download the standard definition version to your computer so you can sync to your device.
