GarageBand turns my guitar down

GB11 noob here.
This is my first project and I've run into a problem. Recording a guitar track direct from my POD HD500 (guitar -> pedal board -> irig -> computer's headphone port). Initial attack sounds awesome! But after about 5 seconds of playing, it starts to fade itself waaaaay down on its own. I do not see a noise gate on the track. If I stop playing for a second, then start in again - back to loud volume. I am not "pegging" as I play - I'm far away from the red. Any ideas?
Note: I successfully recorded a less distorted guitar track (and my vocals) all the way through, so I've done that right - still can't see why this "gating" is happening. Checked master track and there is no gate on. Bummed cuz I want to finish this tonight!

Do you have the auto level control turned on?
I'm pretty sure the 500 has a usb output. You should be able to use the usb for a better quality connection.

Have you checked the volume button? It might be physically stuck. To determine whether a hardware repair is needed, you need to follow these steps:
1. Try doing a hard reset:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
After that: test the device to see whether the issue is solved.
2. If the issue is not solved, you should backup the device and restore it as new.
In that case, use: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup.
If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.
If you get specific error messages/codes in iTunes when updating/restoring, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694 for causes and solutions

I bought my first nano (6th gen) and it started to happen. so, i just bought a new one because i'm unavailable to take it to an apple store. now, the second one is doing the same thing. i've reset them through itunes, and it continues to happen. any suggestions?

Have you tried giving it a reset? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple let go and let it reboot and see if htat helps.

I don't know if this is the right topic for my problem...
I have a pavilion dv6-3299en Rossignol. I uninstalled some extra features and then i had a very small problem.
It;s not much but I'd like it to be solved.
When i turn up or down the sound or turn it off by pressing the buttons, there was an icon, an image with the level of the sound that used to appear, now it doesn't.
Same thing when the sound is off, it doesn't show any more an image with a red line... I hope you understand what i'm talking about.
With mousepad no problem, when i doubleclick the up and left corner, an image appears which shows a red line over it when it's offor nothing when it's on.
Hope you can help me. It's nothing important but it's usefull.

That could well be the problem; try the following.
Download and install HP MediaSmart Music on the link below.

When the installation has completed, restart the notebook and then re-install HP MediaSmart SmartMenu again.

Again, after this installation, restart the notebook and see if the volume OSD has re-appeared.

Turn video upside down?

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to turn video upside down?
The video was shot on a portable device (mp4 format) whilst the device was wrong way around, making the image upside down, and I want to keep this particular video.
If this is possible, I'd really appreciate knowing the application that does it.

Try forcing the phone into recovery mode and restore as a new device.

Doing this will help eliminate any possible software issue that could be causing this. Setting up a new device will bypass a backup with possible data corruption.
If the issue continues after this, you should contact Apple for service for the phone as it will very likely be a hardware issue.

even if you wipe the drive LoJack is still there, it's installed in a hidden partition so you would have get rid of the entire OS. I caught a glimpse of the culprit and from what I seen he is more of a low life than a computer nerd. It is possible he could have tried to log-in but didn't notice the guest and admin account. While I see what you're saying I still have some hope, from what I've read online it took people more than a day to see that their laptop had gone online. If it can't get replaced LoJack has a $1,000 guarantee but that still doesn't make up for the $3,000 worth of equipment lost.

You didn't say which model of iPod Nano that you have, but generally there should be a lock setting, that can be turned on or off, to prevent accidental changes in settings. And, there is also a setting to turn on or off a feature called, "Shake to Shuffle." It allows you to change songs by just shaking the iPod.

I've got a feeling that's the way it is. I know that if I turn the volume down all the way, I can still hear the music very softly -- which is great for listening when I have a migraine!

When using bootcamp computer shuts down when turning the screen down.

Im using the latest version mac os x macbook retina 15display. When im running Windows 8 through bootcamp I'm having problems when turning down the display the computer always have to reboot again. I have to start it and choose to boot from Windows 8. But when entering Windows8 again it will remeber its state from when turning the screen down. This also causes a problem that I can not use only a single external display because I always have to have my screen up because when turning down it will shut down and my usb devices as mouse or keyboard will no be able to detect the computer. This is not a problem on my Mac Os X partition.

I had the same thing happen. Just got off the phone with tech support and I am having to get my second refurbished ipod nano. I had to pay 65.00 for the first one and now it is doing the same thing! Since this one was within the 90 days I don't have to pay another 65.00 but if the next one does it again and it's past the 90 days I have to pay again! The thing is is that my first nano was probably given to some poor chump who's had the same problem and now they have paid their 65 dollars for mine which wasn't fixed. They told me that they do not do repairs on something this small, so I have to pay for a used one! It's crazy! You know if Apple wants to be the best then make your stuff right the first time...and if you don't then don't make me pay to get one that is used and had the same problem! Buyer Beware!!
