Garageband version 10.0.3 project icons
Hello,
I have recently updated my garageband to version 10.0.3 When I look into my garageband folder some of my projects have the garageband icon (with the guitar leaning against the amp) while other projects have an icon of the actual new DAW interface. Any reason for this?

I have Garageband version 4.1.2 (248.7) installed on my early 2008 IMAC 10.5.8. I have never upgraded. If I upgrade my operating system to the next level (10.6?) will my GB version still work? I have a LOT of projects involved and hope they will transfer. Can I (and should I) upgrade GB at the same time and how far should I go with that without causing a problem with my projects? What would I gain if I upgrade GB? Thanks!

my copy of 4.1.2 appears to work under 10.6.8, though i have not done extensive tests

v4 is pretty lonh in the tooth now, and GB only costs $15, so I'd think it's a good idea

the only version you can buy new is v6,a nd it should open older projects without issue ... however you could keep 4 around:

Ana Candano, what is your Aperture version? Earlier Aperture versions - until Aperture 3.2.4 had colored icons, Aperture 3.3 and later are gray in gray. Do you have two versions of Aperture installed?
When you post back, list your version of MacOS X and the versions of any Aperture.app you can find with Spotlight on your Mac.
Frank, the thread you pointed to, was a different question, but probably is related. It would be good to know how it has been resolved. -
Garageband won't open new project
My Garageband fails to open up a new project, keeps coming up with a message saying 'file not found'
any ideas?

What exactly is the full error message? And when exactly does it occur? What is your GarageBAnd version - are you using the current GarageBand '11 or an earlier version?
If the error message is occuring when you are using the opening panel and selected a template - Piano, Electric Guitar, etc., then the problem might be that the templates are not properly installed- Check your System Library:
Are all templates installed and readable in in the folder
/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Templates/Projects
or are they missing? -

Final Cut Pro X 10.2 crashes when I try to convert old libraries for use in the new software. Is there a workaround for this? Or will I have to continue using the previous version to complete older projects? the only foreseeable solution is to begin any new projects on 10.2 or importing footage on 10.2 and starting form scratch--which is something i definitely don't want to do or have time to do. ANY advice, thoughts, or opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Running 10.10.3 // MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013) // 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7 // 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3Exactly the same problem with me.
Some other threads advice to remove fonts, clean the caches, remove add ins but nothing works consistenty, for some it looks like it works, for me it failed.
What I did not try yet, was to move the Render files out of the malicious library to trash. -
ok, so ever since I downloaded the newer version of Firefox my tabs icon (+) on the top is gone. I know I can hit cntrl T, but I really like just clicking the + which opens a new tab. How do I get that back?? I've looked around the HELP section and can only find info about what tabs are etc... Even in all the picutres about the feature it shows the + icon at the top of the page to open a new one. What do I do??

Nearly automatically.
This will be a major upgrade, and Aperture will have to upgrade your library.
As a precaution, make sure you have a working backup of your library, and I'd keep a copy of the Aperture 2.1.4 Application installer as well.
Also it is recommended to repair the permissions and to rebuild the library, to make sure that the library has no corruptions before you upgrade.
Rename the Aperture Library to a name different from the default name before you upgrade.
Launch the new Aperture version by double clicking your Aperture library. Aperture will prompt you, that it is necessary to upgrade the library; let it run, this may take a while. And yes, you should find all your photos, projects, folders, etc. after the upgrade just as you imported and organized them.

Which version control for Web project you are using? I have been using CVS for common java (and nojava) projects but is there any another version control tool for Web projects. Any suggestion how web projects should be stored in repository?, how web project should be maintained ?.

Why aren't my clips evident in my event? My project icons are there and the media IS in the event. I see it on the hard drive. HELP!
It is the strangest thing. I click on the project and it is there with all the stuff and cuts, etc., but no clips in the event!

Front Row can't find the latest version of my iMovie project
I need some help figuring out just where my iMovie project really is.
I have been creating a project in order to learn how to manage all of the features of iMovie '09. I have revised many times and if I follow the path MacHD>Movies>iMovie Projects>first project and click to open, I see the most recent version.
I have also shared using Media Browser and created an iDVD. Then I created a disc image of that and burned it using disc utility - just to see how all of that works. When I use DVD player to play it, I see the most recent version of my 'movie'.
Next I tried to watch it using Front Row. When I open Front Row, then click through Movies to Movies Folder to iMovie Projects the computer tells me that there is no content. What I do have beneath the word Movies is the word Large. If I click on that, I get a much older version of the iMovie project that I thought had been discarded days ago.
This is not a big deal. But I would like to know why Front Row can't find the most recent version of the project. I also would like to know why the old version is still there and reassurance that my latest version really has been saved and that it is 'safe'.I think that the movies that you see in Front Row are the ones that you shared to iTunes. However, if you click on the movies folder, you should see movies in your Media Browser. These are stored inside your RCProject file in the Movies/imovie Projects/<Project Name> container. If you right-click/Show Package Contents, you should see a Movies folder that has your movie.
Also, there is a quirk in the Media Browser. If you have shared a movie to the Media Browser, and later change the movie, the Media Browser copy is deleted right then. You will see a warning message that says "This movie has already been shared. If you change it you will need to republish" (I am paraphrasing). So you have to re-share the movie for it to be in the Media Browser. However, copies you have shared to iTunes are not affected until you re-share. -
I have just updated to 10.1. No problems, but I have a simple question.
Why do some Project icons show a frame of one of the clips contained in the Project, and others do not? This frame is NOT the first frame of the Project.

Feedback has been sent to request control over the Project frame.
It can be changed by adding clips to the Timeline but at the moment it's a get what FCP X gives you deal.

I installed the new version of LIghtroom (2015) from Creative Cloud. Creative Cloud says I successfully installed the new version. However, the shortcut icon that was installed does not start the new version. I've also gone to the properties link itself but, no success in starting. How do I launch the new version?

iMovie seems to select an image at random from the images I imported.Not sure I understand how to use what you have posted. Here's what my init() looks like:
