Garageband wont start after update to ilife 09

i update my ilife from 08 to 09, and now my garageband wont start anymore,it stucks everytime i start and the window "initialize" will not close.
at this point i try everything, delete the preference files in "user -libery-preferences" ,starting with apple -install-DVD and repair permission.
also delete garagaband 09 and re-install GB 08, after this and deleting pref-files again garagband 08 will start normaly
then i try again to update to Gb 09...and it stucks again when the app launch.
GB 09 will only shows the initialize window and stuck !
Please help

i had the same problem when i got my new macbook. I even tried to restore the whole OS then it finally works. But then it crashes again after i install some other program. I suspect the garageband 09 crash with some specific music program...but i still can't figure out which one. I've installed Garritan Personal orchestra, Emu 0404 driver, melodyn essential after that, i bet one of these program have problem.
What about you, have you got any other music program in your mac?

Garageband won't start after updating to iLife 06

Hi
I've just updated to GB with iLife 06 and now GB won't open. It displays an initiallising box and then hangs and I have to force quit. I normally use Logic Pro for audio but wanted to use GB for pdcasting etc.
Mac OS X (10.4.4) Logic Pro 7.2 G5 Imac

Honestly I don't know the specifics.
My father-in-law is a mac repair guy and he gives me very helpful advice. Sometimes he doesn't tell me what it does though....
I promise that nothing "bad" or "malicious" will happen.
If I remember correctly, it's sort of like a super repair permission. Sets things right when once they were wrong....

N73 wont start after update

I updated to the new firmware and backed up my phone and after I tried to restore my backed up songs/numbers it wont boot up - all it does is boot to where it says Nokia and after a while the screensaver comes on, it never gets into the actual phone.
I have left the battery out, tried starting it without the sim card... I have no SD card... noting works.
I cant even get into it to reset it to factory settings!

You could try a hard reset but you will lose everything:
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.
3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.
4. When the message 'Formatting' appears on the screen, release all of the buttons.
If that fails then visit a care point/service centre.

Hi..yesterday i updated my 5230. I forgot to check if my battery was fully loaded.

Itunes wont start after updating on Windows

Ive updated to the most recent version of Itunes and now the program will not start. It immediately says Itunes has stopped working without even opening the program. Ive tried every single fix listed by apple on this website. Nothing has worked. I dont plan on buying anymore music through Itunes if apple cant even get the program to run properly

IPhone 3g wont start after updating to 2.1

im going to start from the beggining, it all started yesturday when i left with my school to the football game, i turned off my iphone, when i came back like 6 or 7 hours later, i notice that all the icons are messed up, and the PHONE application doesnt work, well, i was able to text still but when i open the phone it would crash and do nothing else
when i came home and saw this new 2.1 software, i installed it and things got worse, now since yesturday my iphone only shows the apple logo and a it vibrates every 10 seconds with a spinning circle in the middle, it wont do anything else, i tried restoring it, nothing happen, upgrading again, nothing happend

IMac G5 wont start after Update to 10.4.11

Grey screen with spinning progress indicator but no system start since using Software Update suggested downloading and installing 10.4.11.
All the usual tricks (PRAM reset, SMU reset, Disk Utility) are not helping. Disk Repair Utility says: Cant repair, invalid key length, error nr. 9972

It appears you have directory damage. You will need a 3rd party utility to fix.
You must use the versions that are compatible w/your OS system & keep the utilities updated to avoid damaging/harming/trashing your system.

Apple tv wont start after update

So i just turned my apple tv on and was informed I needed an update so I did this, i didnt actually watch it install I just left it while I did other stuff and after about ten mins looked at my tv and it was flashing no signal check power cables etc
The device is responsive to the remote in the sense that the little light flashes when i press a button
here is the best bit...when I unplug the device from the power source and reconnect it the little apple logo appears on the screen then disappears only to show the same no signal msg

Sounds like the update went badly.
Get a USB to microUSB cable, use that alone to connect the device to a computer running itunes and restore the device to latest software.

SW2 wont start after update

Hope some one can help.
I updated my SW2 yesterday and all seemed fine, however today when it connected to my phone the SW2 kept rebooting.
I have tried turning it off and now it won't start at all I just get 5 vertical bars on the screen. It is fully charged and not recognised by the PC.
I have tried the pressing the power button for at least 30 seconds - which powers off the SW2 but will not start when turned back on. I have tried turning it back on both plugged into and unplugged from the PC as well as with my phone totally turned off so no possibility of it trying to connect to my phone whilst starting up.

Finally all seems to be ok atm.
Steps to fix were
- Unpair from phone (this allows the watch to start)
- Reset watch from settings option on watch
- Uninstall sw2 connect app on phone
- reboot phone
- re-install smartwatch 2 SW2 from play store
- reconnect watch to phone
If you are still having issues uninstall repeat above but un-install apps that connect to the watch as well at the same time as removing the sw2 connect app

I updated my system yesterday and now openoffice doesnt work. The previous version worked perfectly. When I start it from command line I get this error:

I have no 'oowriter' at all, but I have /usr/lib/openoffice/programs/swriter

Libvirt wont start after update

I just updated libvirt from 0.9.4-1 to 0.9.4-2. While trying to start, I recieve:
"/usr/sbin/libvirtd: error while loading shared libraries: libgnutls.so.28: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
Any ideas?

Have you done a full system update 'pacman -Syu'?

SSMS wont start after Installing SQLServer

Hello,
After SSMS wont start after updating VS2012. I have unistallled and installed a number of times but the error message I keep getting indicates that Visual Studio shell Isolated is missing. I have tried to install this directly from the set up dvd but
no success.
Also I noticed that VSShell is missing in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\120\Tools\Binn.
I am assuming that this has something to do with it.
Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

Portege Z930-118 wont start after BIOS update

Hmmmm.... BIOS upgrade interruption has screwed up BIOS and thats the reason why your notebook doesn't start properly. BIOS is damaged now.
In such case you need professional help by authorized Toshiba service provider.
On this forum you can find many threads about similar problems. Some people have tried to fix this alone and if you are interested to read how one other forum user has fixed it check please this thread.
Ayway, you can contact nearest Toshiba service, explain the situation and ask for help.
