Garageband2 with reason 2.5 software
I am ready to upgrade to either an iBook 14" or powerbook 15" - would definitely like the iBook since it is about $600 cheaper.
anyway, i have been using reason 2.5 to do all my tracks and read somewhere that you can transfer the final mix to garageband2 and then lay the vocals over it.
has anyone done this and does the final mix with vocals sound great?

Reason has some processors that are good for running vocals or final mix through. I'd like to record something in garageband, and send it to Reason for some after effects.
Also, Reason has some great keyboard/synth samplers. What's the easiest way to run my midi keyboard into reason to get a certain voice, then to garageband? You said that GB supports Rewire. Does rewire come with Reason, and is this the easiest way to accomplish what I described above, using Reason and GB?

i am trying to update my mac book pro with the mountain lion software. i have purchased this in my mac app store but do not see where to go from here to install... anyone know what to do? do i not have enough space to install the update? how do i tell?
What year is your MacBook Pro? Need to make sure you have the hardware spec for Mt. Lion. You should also consider 8GB of memory for reasonable performance.
Find how much storage: Apple Menu > About this Mac > More Info... > Storage
If you are within 80% of filling your current drive, you may have enough to install Mt. Lion, but the subsequent installation will not perform well due to storage saturation.
Before you update to Mountain Lion, you should do one last software update on Lion, then run Disk Utility and verify/repair permissions. Then back-up your home directory for safety, even though a Mt. Lion upgrade will not disturb your home directory.
If Mountain Lion actually did download, the installer is placed in your /Application folder as, Install OS X Mountain Lion. If you want a bootable USB Mountain Lion installer, now is the time to make it with Lion Diskmaker and a empty 8GB USB stick. After you run the Mountain Lion installer, it will de-install itself. Like Lion, you still have a bootable Recovery partition. -
Reasonably priced animation software for iMac
I am retired and while not at all well off, I am appreciative of being in the position of not having to earn money any more.
I am currently absorbed in putting together several generations of family photos, movies and keepsakes in as interesting and historically as possible, using iMovie. Unfortunately, iMovie is ok for fairly mundane taskes, If you can overcome it's restrictive/protective baises and malfunctions.
Anyway, I am looking for a reasonably priced animation software to use as a general purpose interfacer for movies and stills and explanations were necessary.
I have spent hours searching and testing softwares but found most lacking in facilities of one sort or another. Enough to make them not worth taking up room on my computer. I have deliberately avoided high end stuff costing many hundreds of £/$. Especially Adobe. I find their software very difficult to even get started with.
Xara exteem pro 5 was my first choice but their animation software will not run on a Mach and in any case you cannot convert their Pro 5 animations to anything usefull format so I am stuck and pleeding for help.
Can anyone recommend a animation software for iMac with broard facilities, similar to Xara Extreme Pro 5. up to, say $200 ?What kind of animation do you want to do?

I have the iPhone 5 and have with 6.0.1 software version. Although I had them when I moved from iPhone 4 to the 5 (could play them), the latest update has most of my songs on the phone listed in grey (over 95% of them) and I can't play them. They are still listed in the iTunes library. When I look in the Summary for the iPhone, it shows Audio as only .16 GB - I have over 5 GB of songs, so what gives?
P.S. When I look at my Playlists most of the songs are greyed out. However, at the bottom of the list there is a cloud icon with a downward facing arrow. When I click on it each song starts to "load" and after a few minutes I have the songs back on in the list. I have to do this to all my playlists (I had over 100) in order to get access to all my songs. Then I did a sync and it happened again!
I use iCloud for documents and some other things (calendar, contact, etc.) but am not aware that I have anything music-wise in the cloud. Any thougnts?You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

I've recently been given a macbook pro from uni, with lots of adobe software on. I want to pair it with my iMac which has music etc and is it possible to get the software to the imac and the files to the macbook?Giving me the best of both :-)
You would need the original installation disks or files for the Adobe software to get it onto your iMac, and having it on two computers may not be allowed by your university's licensing. Talk to whoever issued the MacBook.
As to the music, just copy it over to the MacBook, either via Home Sharing, file sharing, or an external storage medium (hard drive, USB flash drive, etc.).

I currently have iPod Nano with 1.1.1 software update and iPod Radio Remote, but even after the update I do't get the radio option to appear in the main menu or music menu, with the option in settings turn ON. Why isn't this thing working?

You can ONLY use the itunes store of your country of residence ( proven by the billing address on your credit card) AND ONLY while you are physically located inside the borders of that country.
You would have to live in the U.S and physically be located in the U.S in order ot use the U.S tunes store. The same is true for each countrys itunes store. -
I lost all of my contacts on my Blackberry 9930 phone while trying to sync it with the Blackberry Desktop software since I upgrade from Mobile me to ICloud on my Mac book. It seems that the Desktop Software can't recognise ICloud contacts/Groups and my calendar will now not sync either. My husband has a Mac Pro and a Blackberry and is having the same problems.
I some how have two (2) icloud accounts. How can I delete one??? Please help!You can't actually delete an iCloud account but you can remove it by signing out at System Preferences>iCloud if it is the promary account, or in Mail, Contacts & Calendars if the secondary, and then juste ignore it.
The Blackeberry can only sync with data held under 'On My Mac'. iCloud can only sync with data under 'iCloud'.
When you set up iCloud your calendars and contacts were moved to the iCloud server. If you want to use Blackberry you will have to move them back to 'On My Mac' and not sync with iCloud: it's one or the other.

To move contacts, File>Export as vCard when you have selected all your contacts, then delete the contacts under iCloud, make 'On My Mac' the default and reimport the vCard. -
How do I install OS X Mountain Lion in a machine that came with OS X Yosemite already?? I need to do it in order for me to keep working with some of my softwares with are very expensive and can't afford to buy new versions.

I just installed Lightroom 5 from Amazon for my Mac with 10.10.1 software. When I open it I get: "An error occurred when attempting to change modules". It won't import photos and has no side panels under Library. What should I do?
I Nearly bought from Amazon too but I found a thread from Adobe stating that the only recognized outlet for lightoom is themselves and other outlets serial numbers will not be guaranteed.
THat at was sufficient for me to buy direct from Adobe, hope you get it sorted. -
When they un-upgrade iPhoto email templates? Along with Apple Maps, another software I won't use anymore.
You can go back by restoreing your backup of the iPhoto library from the previous version a installing the previous version for its original source

Trouble updating to iOS 5 on my wife's iPhone 4 connected to our iM, right before download finishes downloading iTunes comes back with the error message Software corrupted during download. Please check network settings and try again later, however there was no problem updating my iPhone to iOS 5 through iTunes connceted to my dell laptop on the same wireless network. What gives?

Limiting or control for Residual payment with reason codes
Hi FI Gurus,
When we are received or making payment to customer or vendor, sometimes we need to clear the invoice by receiving or making payments with small differences through residual payment. Is there any control for limiting residual payment.
Lets have an example
invoice posted for 1000
customer dr 1000
sales cr 1000
Partial payment recd 500
cash/bank dr 500
customer cr 500
final payment received 350 and balanace amount adjusted with residual payment by defining reason code like rounding off difference. So in this case accounting entry will be
customer cr 350
rounding off diff 150
cash/bank 500
being final payment agaisnt invoice
My question: Is there any way to restrict the residual payment like 10% or 20% of total invoice i.e. 100 or 200 and not more than 20% ? other wise sometime user may adjust any amount may be 100000 through this way by putting the same reason code, which is not fair.
I checked SPRO setting but i did not get anyt setting relating to above case.

But I am looking for amount adjusted through residual with reason code. I dont think there is any limitation or control in the SPRO standard setting. Tolerance is preventing user to post document for more than a specific amount. But my question is something different.
I want to control the user for adjusting amount from residual tab with selecting reason code. In other words user should not adjust more than some limit with residual payment by selecting reason codes. Thanks.

Use Tcode VA05 i.e. List of Sales Order. In this Tcode you can enter sales document type, sales area and other related data. After execution, from layout you can select Reason for Rejection from the list.
This way you can filter all the sales documents including Scheduling agreements by using sales document types.

All of a sudden I keep getting message that my computer must be restarted and it freezes. I restart it and within minutes it happens again. This is a 27 inch iMac with latest system and software. Any ideas of what is wrong and how to fix it?
10.7.5 is not the latest system, 10.8.3 is. However your message sounds like a Kernel Panic, does the message look similar to About "You need to restart your computer" (kernel panic) messages? If so, then if you can get the machine to restart normally then please post the Kernel Panic Report which you can find by following directions in How to log a kernel panic. Please post back with the KP log, and we can take a look. However if the machine continues to not restart then my guess is a hardware failure suck as a hard disk or failed RAM in which case you should take it into your local Apple Store or AASP for repair.
