Garbled output on envelopes only

I have an HP LaserJet P2015d connected to my Time Capsule. In general wireless printing is flawless, but whenever I try to print to an envelope (DL size, but others too I think) the output is a mess, just some strange pattern stretching across the page.
Printing exactly the same envelope over USB is fine.
This is getting very irritating. I'd be very grateful for any tips.

1. If you empty the whole document then click the Evelopes buttong, what will happen?
2. Check if there are any special macros in these specific documents
3. Try remove both of these printers, and check this issue again.
4. Will this behavior also happen when open these documents from the other computer?
You can also share a copy of the document in SkyDrive so I can check on it. (Remove any sensitive information)

Hi,
searched your post for keywords "JDeveloper" "ADF" "JSF" but could not find them. So are you sure you are posting to the right forum?
If you have an issue with MS WOrd and PDF then Microsoft and Adobe are the ones to call for help. Jasper Reports also is not owned by Oracle, which is another area you want to investigate

How to output java logging only to a log file except stderr?

I create a file logging and noticed that java logging output a log file and stderr simultanously. How to output the logging message only to the log file?

Clicking on "Envelopes" only brings up "Envelope Options", and not the dialog box to print envelopes, but only on certain documents.

I'm using Word 2010, and up until a few weeks ago have never had trouble printing envelopes. Then one day I clicked on Envelopes to print one, and it only
brought up Envelope Options instead of the dialog box to print envelopes. Eventually the problem went away and it worked again. Then it happened again last week. I closed down everything Office-related and started back up, and it worked again. Now it's happened
again today, and even after shutting all Office products down, it still won't let me print envelopes. I have two printers and it happens no matter which one I choose. The strange thing is it apparently only happens on certain documents, because I can open
up another letter, hit "Envelopes" and paste in the address from the letter that won't print, and it will work fine. What is wrong with these certain documents that makes Word unable to bring up the print dialog? I can't find anything online relating
to this issue. Any ideas?

Mail message gets garbled... but only when sent with attachment to Android?

I'm getting heat from my employer because I use a Mac and he doesn't (I use an iPhone and he uses an Android, see the consistency??). Regardless. When I send an email with windows-friendly attachment, he receives it fine on his PC, but on his Android, the message is garbled (attachment fine). If I log in via Safari to DeskPilot (our corporate email client) and send the same message and attachment, all is fine. Oh, and if we really want to get odd, a co-worker does the same thing and his message comes though empty, not garbled.
Ideas, thoughts? This is causing a major migraine for me.

Perhaps I should have been a little bit clearer why I want to be able to send mail via my local mail/postfix system: I have several servers set up on my iMac, in particular:
    apache
    trac
I want these servers to be able to send mail to, e.g.,
    webmaster@localhost
    root@localhost
    trac@localhost
I have created aliases for these addresses in:
    /etc/postfix/aliases
(I have also executed "newaliases"). These aliases all point to my own user account on the same machine (my iMac).
Finally, I have a .forward file at the root level of my OS X account that forwards all local Unix mail to my normal e-mail account handled by my ISP.
This way, all local mail sent to "webmaster2, "root", "trac", etc., should be sent to my normal e-mail address that I monitor with Mail.app.
*This all worked perfectly with Mac OS X 10.4.x,* so I know it should be possible. However, I have only now just tried to set this up 10.5.x (Leopard) and, clearly, I am having problems.
Perhaps this motivation for wanting to send e-mail via the Unix mail system will help others understand my situation, and I hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks very much in advance.

OUTPUT PROBELMS! GARBLED OUTPUT WHEN VIEWING FROM MAC 2 TV!

When running final cut, I usually view my work through a tv moniter as my external video monitor. However it is garbled and i have a feeling it is fixable? Anybody know how???

I output to my TV monitor via a DAC (digital to analogue converter) which takes the firewire signal and converts it to composite.
Since upgrading to FCP 5 I often find the picture on the TV is "grabled". All I do is select REFRESH DEVICES from my VIEW menu and it sorts it out. Let me know if this works.

Output preview works only when preview dialogue box is open?

The output preview setting certainly takes effect, but only when the output preview dialogue box is open, so that accurately previewing images in reading mode is not possible; it's only possible to see a preview by going to an image and opening the OP dialogue box. As soon as the OP dialogue box is closed, the image reverts back to its pre-preview state. This can't be right!

Thanks for your feedback. I had tried to navigate with the dialogue box open using the "hand", which didn't work; I see now that you can still go from page to page with the box open using either keyboard command or menu arrows.
I was actually incorrect in referring to "reading mode"; I meant to say "full screen" mode. And again, since the cursor doesn't act as a cursor but rather as a pinpoint when the dialogue box is open, I incorrectly assumed that all navigation (including full screen mode) was disabled. This, I now see, is not the case.

Garbled Output on Deskjet 1120C

My Deskjet 1120C has developed a printer malfunction. The output consists of multiple pages with just a few lines of garbled symbols, icons and characters on the top of each page. It seems to start printing OK but then stops momentarily before reverting to printing the output I have described. I have tested the printer offline and it will not print out a test page just the top of the HP logo and Deskjet 1120C title. The OS is Windows XP Professional Version 2002, Service Pack 3. Any suggestions for a solution to fix the problem?

We have this problem too. We coverted my mother to a PC after years on a Mac. It's an HP with an HP printer (Deskjet F4180) and the poor woman has problems with printing EVERY TIME SHE BOOTS her PC!
It's so annoying. We have to reinstall the software and use the Printer Diagnostic EACH TIME -- which is practically every day.
HP, solve this issue. We're ready to turn in the computer and printer!!

Output to printer only black and white

The output to my printer is only in black and white. The printer checks out ok and will print in color from other sources. Photoshop was printing in color formerly. All the settings are for color.

Restrict Output to PDF Only

Hi All,
I am using XML Publisher on Oracle eBS 11.5.10.2. The requirement that I have specifies that while running the concurrent program the user should only be able to select the output format as PDF. ie after supplying the parameters for the report in eBS, when we click on the Options button the format LOV should only show PDF as the available output format.

You can restrict the output only to PDF by using some simple settings. It is no where hardcoded in BIP.
Steps:
Click on BIP's leftside panel. Under LAYOUTS, click on specific rtf file. After clicking on particular RTF, see right side window. You will see by default output formats: all formats are selected. Now change format to 'Limit Output Format to' and check PDF checkbox. Now save the report and see output. It will have only one option PDF.
Easy.

HP Photosmart C5550 won't print envelopes, only letter size since updating to new Mac OS Mavericks.

Since updating to new Mac OS Mavericks and the new driver for the printer, I can only print on letter-sized paper. When I try to print a 6x9 envelope, it gives me an error saying my paper size doesn't match, and I have to cancel the printing. Before updating, it worked.

I was having that trouble for a very long time until today.
Using Microsoft Office Word, I did page setup and chose "Envelope #10 4.1x9.5in" for a standard long envelope. I had to do NOTHING to the printer and it worked great the first time.
Bottom line, it's all in the program you are using.
If you get an error stating you have the wrong media size, try using a different program.

Multi language form but output in EN only

Hi All ,
I have one form in english , french , german and italian languages , but even if i select the other languages i want output in English language only . What should i do? Is copy paste from EN to other language is the only way ?

But to use the receiver's DAC's you'd have to lose the accuracy advantage of real digital (i.e. the "better" sound). When you convert non-AC3/DTS sound to AC3/DTS, the conversion involves "perceptual coding," which means they throw away stuff they don't think you can really hear so that the signal can be fit in the same space as a stereo digital signal.
It's also a relati'vely compute-intensi've conversion, and not a simple process.
Now, are you sure really want to do that?

[SOLVED] grep output matching parts only

I want grep to output only what it matched, but according the man page, it will put each matching part on a separate line, which does not work for me. I am matching two numbers, but they don't get output together, but each on a separate line. Any idea how to fix this?

How can I limit Analog Output to positive only?

Hi everyone,
I'm using PXI 7350 and UMI 7774 for controlling a DC brushless motor,
the problem is that the drive for the motor only supports positive voltage input ( to adjust motor's velocity).
So how can I limit the output voltage to positive ?
I'm new to labview and I have been confused by this problem for a long time , so it will be geat if there's any example vi of that !

What are you using for feedback? If you are only moving in one direction, then you don't have to worry about limiting the analog to positive, the controller will take care of that.
