Gateway LX6810-01 Issues

Well for about a month now my computer has been shutting down on its own. Mostly during high use like games, movies stuff like that. After I spent nearly a hour waiting to talk to a tec from gateway I was given a e-mail that didn't help at all. So by chance I stumbled on the customer comments on there website regarding my computer and it turns out alot folks are having the same issue. Unsure where I go from here cause they have refused to e-mail me back and sitting 2 hours on the phone is not somthing I want to do again.

It sounds like something is overheating. Have you removed the cover from the pc and cleaned it out? Blow all the dust out and make sure your heatsinkis good and clean.
Do you know how to view the event viewer? You can look for errors in there?
It sounds more like something is overheating.

  • Quantum Gateway Port Forwarding issues

This post can be removed.... the port forwarding worked once I set it up under "Advanced Settings -> Network Settings ->Port Forwarding" instead of "Firewall -> Port Forwarding"
    Hello,
I am having an issue setting up port forwarding.  I have made several attempts to make port forward TCP 8096, but it continues not to work.  I had it working with no problems at my with my old router before we moved so I know it's not an issue with my computer firewall or antivirus and MediaBrowser is working fine on the local network. Is anyone else experiencing Port Forwarding issues?  Also when will DMZ be enabled on this gateway?
Any help would be apprciated. I'm trying to setup MediaBrowser so I can schedule recordings when i'm not at home.
    Thanks!

  • Verizon Quantum Gateway Router settings issue related to printing and wifi cameras?

    Hi,
I have a Verizon Quantum Gateway router and I just did a fresh install of Windows 8.1 Pro x64 and am downloading and installing my printer drivers.  I connect the printer to the wifi network, 100% sure it is connected and settings are set to wireless lan.  I've had this printer for a while.  Doing the setup - it cannot find the printer.
Related: I bought a 2 pack of Motorola Focus66 wifi cameras to watch my dogs when I'm gone.  I can connect to the cameras when I'm on my ipad's Verizon Wireless LTE connection, but when I'm at home connected to my same Verizon Fios wifi I cannot view cameras.  Yes - the camera and apps support local and remote connections.
I have turned the firewalls all the way off and this does not fix the problems, so I'm believing it is in the router settings.  Any suggestions?

I had a wifi network running at my house with a PC, Laptop, 5 iphones an iPad, and an XBox all running with no issues..  I got the "Upgrade" of the Gateway router and I can connect those devices to the network but WiFi printing is screwed up and Air Printing the apple devices is totally dead..  cannot see the printer.  The customer support are completely a waste..  they suggested I pay for "Premium Support"  At this point I've invested a solid 10-15 hours trying to get this setup and talking to Verizon and its just a mess.

  • Gateway ZX4300 screen issue

Everything about the screen works fine, rarely use the touch option. But now I have small vertical lines showing up all over the screen. Pictures that have dark colors in it, the lines are green. Pictures that have white in it, the lines are purple.
Is this a video card issue?

I would avoid taking the making off as that often times voids the manufacturer's warranty. Your best bet (if it is still under warranty) is to take it to Geek Squad / Customer Service at your local Best Buy. If they can reproduce the issue you've been having, they'll determine via the vendor agreement whether it needs to be serviced or it can be exchanged outright. Without Black Tie Protection, Gateway may charge for parts and labor depending on their warranty limitations.
    Best of luck.

  • Multiple Gateways servers - any issues?

I am being asked to monitor multiple untrusted domains through gateway servers. We already have one gateway server setup, are there any issues I should beware of when setting up a second or third one for different domains? Do they all talk back through
port 5723 happliy without any contention?

Not really - the individual servers can become the bottle-neck should there be a large number of agents reporting to them but this would be for relatively large deployments. But in terms of contention you shouldn't have any problems, there's a good article
here which has details of the process (similar content
    here as well) .
I'd also take a look at the SCOM sizing tool as this will give you some details on server spec, etc
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/momteam/archive/2012/04/02/operations-manager-2012-sizing-helper-tool.aspx
Extract from the SCOM2012 deployment guide:
"Gateway servers are used to enable agent-management of computers that are outside the Kerberos trust boundary of management groups, such as in a domain that is not trusted. The gateway server acts as a concentration point for agent-to-management server
communication. Agents in domains that are not trusted communicate with the gateway server and the gateway server communicates with one or more management servers. Because communication between the gateway server and
the management servers occurs over only one port (TCP 5723), that port is the only one that has to be opened on any intervening firewalls to enable management of multiple agent-managed computers. Multiple gateway servers can be placed in a single domain so
that the agents can failover from one to the other if they lose communication with one of the gateway servers. Similarly, a single gateway server can be configured to failover between management servers so that no single point of failure exists in the
    communication chain.
Because the gateway server resides in a domain that is not trusted by the domain that the management group is in, certificates must be used to establish each computer's identity, agent, gateway server, and management server. This arrangement satisfies
the requirement of Operations Manager for mutual authentication."

  • Gateway MD2614u sleep issues

Hello all and greetings (my first post),
Hopefully this is the right section, I recently installed Arch onto a Gateway MD2614u laptop, it utilizes a Crucial MX100 256GB SSD as its boot drive. I am pretty sure I have the required tweaks for that completed.
Performance is exellent, 30sec bootup (about 25 after factoring in my password) and 6sec shutdowns.
However I am having issues with sleeping/suspending this laptop. It utilizes a HD Radeon 3200 as its IGP code number RS780. I am trying to utilize pm-utils to suspend and hybernate this laptop. If I use "sudo pm-suspend" it suspends successfully but when I resume it shows a blinking cursor at the top left and nothing else works (no caps lock or anything). I've used these links to attempt troubleshooting http://chriseiffel.com/everything-linux … 4-mint-11/
    http://www.ubuntugeek.com/fix-for-suspe … ment-53547
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pm … leshooting
Not sure if this is related but I have calise running as a daemon in systemd it mentioned about pm-utils and I figured install that too. My desktop environment is Cinnamon (very much like win7 but far more customizable).
My system utilizes these modules: (from sudo lspci -v)

Well, that last idea of mine didn't work. Unless I did something wrong in the script. Perhaps I can tweak the script mentioned in the ubuntu url in my first post to include more modules as a diagnosis step.
Will post back on the results.
    ---Edit---
Just tried this file from /usr/lib/systemd/system-sleep/ and it didn't work. I added some more modules to the list than were originally in the script.

  • Gateway NV52 Sound Issues

I recently received a Gateway NV52 as a Christmas present, and so far I'm loving it. But I'm experiencing an issue which is when I plug in my headphones into the jack, there is a faint buzzing noise when I play music. It doesn't matter if I'm streaming it online or playing it directly from my desktop, it just continues to make that noise.
I tried using the same exact headphones on a different computer and it didn't have that noise, so I'm sure it's not the headphone itself. I also do not experience this problem when playing the music without the headphones. Do you think it may just be a driver issue or would it be a problem with the computer itself. Thank you in advance.

Hey, did you ever get your sound problem fixed???
I have exactly the same problem, and have been unable to find a solution. I have updated the sound driver, and done alot of testing, but nothing works. Not only is it an issue with headphones, however same problem occurs when using USB headset... I am starting to think it is a harware issue.
regular headset usb headset all work flawless on other computers.....
    Anyone??????

  • GATEWAY MAX ACTIVATE ISSUE

Hi all, I receive a Telstra Gateway Max yesterday to replace my old cable modem. However, I am stuck in the device register page. The erro code is CCP0024. Anyone can help me for this issue? I talked to different Teltra staffs through hotline, some of them were lying to me said the network is down. However I can use my old modem to access the internet. I hate these kind of lying activities.  Cheers,

    Hi jobbyjobson,
We’re undertaking a system upgrade this weekend to help us deliver a better, faster service. Right now there are some requests we can’t action immediately such as activating some new devices/services which is what is causing the issues of the OP.
You can still access online services via Telstra.com/upgrade  and our 24x7 App and we can still assist you during this period through our stores and contact centres as well.
Unfortunately, you can’t view your call and data usage online right now – we apologise for this inconvenience. You can still use Telstra services, for example to make and receive calls and texts, and browse the internet as normal. We have extra staff working right now to get services up and running again as soon as we can.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.
    Regards -

  • Gateway LX6810-01

I leaned towards this pc after a bestbuy rep told me this model would be great for games. I loaded my old games (Fear,DOOM3,etc) and none work. Contacted Geek Squad and he said the games should run. After 45 min on the phone with remote access he could not provide a solution. I have read online that both games run fine with Vista 64. Was the system misrepresented to me and the Geforce GT120 a dud or is it a 64 bit issue? The Geek Squad guy told me to get a new game (Halo 3) and it will run fine. Does owning this system mean I have to say goodbye to my old favorites or is there something I need to do to get them to run. I tried to download the older direct x 9.0c however I get a suspicious cabinet file warning that prevents me from installing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I just had a chance to re-read your message in full.
Im not sure if you are trying to say a Geek Squad Agent told you it was compatible or not , but a quick search on Google shows some promising results with real answers.

May I ask where you originally got your compatability info from?

I have been trying to install drives into the SATA bays but they are not showing up on the computer, is there something you have to do in the BIOS or something to turn them on before you use them? They do not show up in DIsk Managment or My Computer at all...

  • Jabber for IPhone over AnyConnect VPN calls to SIP Gateway - One Way Audio

    Hello,
I am wondering if anyone has seen this before.  I have the latest version of Anyconnect for the IPhone and Jabber app, running on the newest version of CUCM 8.6 and Jabber 8.6.
The Jabber phone registers fine and I can make internal calls without an issue.  I also can make external calls to H323 and HGCP PRI gateways without an issue.  However, when I make a call from the Jabber client that goes out a SIP gateway and SIP trunk I get one way audio.  I do not see any packets even trying to leave inside interface of the ASA headed toward the SIP trunk IP.
I've also verified that useing the same VPN profile I can make 2 way audio calls out the SIP trunk from a softphone running on windows.
Anyone have any ideas what could be the problem?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
try to disable early media on 180 under sip profile settings for jabber client.

  • XML Gateway Outbound transaction error

    Hi,
We are trying to send a XML file to an outside vendor using XML gateway but facing issue in doing the HTTP post.
As per the XML Gateway user guide I have setup the Hub definition with protocol type as being HTTP. protocol address as the one provided by the vendor and created a hub user.
I have also setup a 'custom' outbound transaction type.
And then setup a 'Trading Partner' linked it to the transaction type and the hub. and loaded the DTD and Map file.
I am able to generate the XML file successfully but it does not get delivered or is being rejected by the vendor.
I am trying to narrow down to if the issue exists on our end and the file is not being sent correctly or it is being rejected once it reaches the http site.
I get the following error message on looking at the underlying log table:
Response: HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error

any help will be much much appreciated.
    Thanks

Yes i was able to go to the URL using my machine browser. Since Oracle is installed on a linux machine i do not think I will be able to install a browser and go to the site from the oracle machine. I also tried pinging www.google.com and that seemed to work so i am sure the server is able to connect properly.
Can you suggest any other way to verify that the file is being sent out and the issue is on the other end? I was hoping if i could send the file to any other outside link that will be a good enough test of file going out of the network.

  • RV042g and QuickVPN Issues

    Hello,
We purchased a RV042g for simple VPN purposes.  We have been experimenting with QuickVPN and have had a very difficult time.  The clients will occasionally become unable to finalize the connection.  The logs on the router show that authentication was successful and that the client disconnected immediately after.  The client logs show that they were unable to ping the gateway.  These issues disappear once the router is restarted (which has become a daily ritual).
We have also had difficulties with QuickVPN under certain conditions.  For example, we have noticed issues to the router via QuickVPN immediately after one client goes to sleep while connected.  This may not be the exact cause of that issue, but it happens so consistently that it appears to be the case.  In addition, one client cannot connect via WiFi while others can.
The QuickVPN clients are latest, as is the firmware on the router.  The router has had the 'Enable WAN Request' option toggled on and off.  In addition, all clients have different ISPs, and have had successful connections at least once.  The clients are a mixture of Windows 7 and Windows 8 (under Compatibility Mode).
Any help would be appreciated.  We are not sure if this is something we can actively prevent or not.
    Thanks

    Hello Sean,
I have worked with VPNs some, and many times, the installed firewall software on my hosts causes problems by blocking certain Internet traffic. To see if your firewall is causing problems, start your computer in Safe Mode with Networking. If your connection works, it means that your firewall is the problem.
Here is an article that might help with the firewall test:
Test Quick Virtual Private Network (QVPN) on Windows 7 with Safe Mode
Also, here is an article that might help with double checking your router and QuickVPN settings:
Manage VPN Users and Configure Quick VPN on RV016, RV042, RV042G and RV082 VPN Routers
    I hope this helps!

Issues with IPSEC-VPN client and Verizon VZ4G LTE network
    VERSION 2
    Introduction
    Core Issue
    Resolution
    Introduction
This document explains why IPSEC VPN clients don't work on Verizon 4g network.
    Core Issue
The Cisco IPSEC VPN client is able to connect to VPN gateways without any issues over the Verizon 4g network. However once connected, the client is not able to pass any traffic at all. The counters on the client indicate that the client is encrypting data however, there are no increments to the decrypt counters. This issue is seen on the entire gamut of windows OSs. One of the deal breakers with the new Verizon 4g network is that the new LG VL600 and Pantech UML290 run a privately routed IP (10.) address that ONLY allows outbound traffic - no inbound traffic can be passed through. This means that if you have a need for remote access to a device, Verizon's new 3G/4G-capable devices will not allow you to access them like you could with a 3G-only modem.
    Resolution
Based on suggestions made by Verizons it seems as though the following things need to be attempted:
    1. enable Nat-T. For more information regarding nat-traversal please refer to the following documents:
         a. IPSEC over NAT-T on IOS devices
         b. IPSEC over NAT-T on ASA
    2. enable IPSEC-over-TCP. For more information regarding enabling IPSEC over TCP please refer to the following documents:
         a. IPSEC over TCP on IOS devices
         b. Enabling IPSEC over TCP on ASA
    3. Use Anyconnect rather than IPSEC
    4. The other option is to go with the Sprint 4g network instead which apparently does support remote access to applications.

  • MCU and Gateway

    Hi all.
I have a Videoconferencing system with a 3515 MCU and a 3527 Gateway. The issue is that i cannot make conferences from H320 endpoints to MCU services through the gateway.
I am able to make point to point conferences betwteen h320 and h323 endpoints but not multiconferences.
    Can anyone help me?

If I understand your question properly, you are trying to invite an ISDN only connected endpoint by using the IP "invite" dialsting on an H.323 into a multipoint conference on the Polycom. If I'm misreading this, please correct. If this is the case, this is not possible to do. ISDN connected endpoints via a GW need to be dialed using the prefix and full e.164 dial string.
