GATP check

H guys,
I am working on GATP check enhancement to consider the storage locaton.
Here, The location ID must be set to the location ID in the substitution rule data to cause the GATP checl to use all the locations in substitution Rule...
How this can be don?

Let me explain my scenario,
By default the storage location in ECC is not taken into account when GATP uses location substitution to create allocations. Storage location is used to segregate duty paid and non duty paid stock. An enhancement is required to make GATP consider the storage location when performing substitutions.
Standard GATP does not consider the storage location when performing substitutions to create allocations.
So, GATP should be enhanced to consider the storage location when performing substitutions to create allocations.
Hope u r clear with some inoformation now.

RBA GATP check is not getting invoked for Sales Order

Hi Everyone,
RBA GATP check is not getting invoked for Sales order.
I maintained the configuration settings for 'Rules-Based Availability Check', APO general settings (check mode, check instruction), carried out integrated rule maintenance, Rule determination for the combination of order type & product, associated the check mode to product master. Also maintained all the settings in ECC towards Req class, Req type, checking control etc.
However, sales order is not invoking RBA Check though it is showing up the 'Rule' icon in the screen. Also, in the APO Availability check in Sales order when I click onto 'check instruction', I get the checking mode that pertains to RBA for business event 'A' (Sales order). Though I have not maintained any stock for the main material for which I have the sales order, yet system is confirming any quantity that I put in.
I would expect that system would propose the same material in an alternate location where we have stock through RBA.
Request you to share ideas on this.

Hi Avijit,
You should used No Checking Horizon in Checking instructions and also Check your rule control settings.
What you have defined in 1st and 2nd steps. Check whether product substitution is carried out or Location Substitution.

GATP check on a Material Variant of a configurable material

Hi Experts,
In ECC side material variant is created . with reference to a configurable material of type KMAT.
The same configurable material is also used a pricing reference material for the material variant.
The configurable material is not relevant for production has no MRP tabs created. It is also not relevant for ATP check.
Material variant is of MTS strategy and relevant for ATP check.
Configurable material is not CIF'ed to APO. ECC ATP check was working fine. While doing GATP check , it is showing following error and not doing ATP check.
Product for external product number XXXXXXX and
BSG BSG1 does not exist .
XXXXXX---> is the configurable material.
Do I need to CIF across classes , characteristics and configurable material to APO even if I am doing ATP check on the material variant.

No need to CIF across Class and Characteristics.
CIF across the Material ( Guess this material is just one Material). Activate the ATP Model for that material.
You need to maintain "CDP" in the customizing instead of Variant configuration in APO.
This should work.

GATP Check with Batch

Hi
We have a requirement of GATP check from one batch. We plan to use the user exits around RBATP to achiev this. We are facing issues when we set up the COnsolidation Process. I am unable to pass on the batch information to the Stock Transfer Requisition generated. Moreover I dont think there is any link between the Sales Order and the generated STR (beyond the conversion of ATP tree structure). In case you have worked on such a scenario or have any inputs/workarounds for this process, it will be of immense help.

Just a thought, I don't know how it will help you. Try creating a characteristic in R/3 and assign it to a class. The same has to be maintained in the classification view of the material under class type 023 and then try pass on the batch information to the stock transfer requisition.

Rule based GATP Check

Hello experts,
Our team has configured rule based gatp check parameters and maintained condition technique, relevant rules with product substitution, location substitution, profile parameters and rule determination.
We are having four condition tables i.e. most specific to most generic and condition records are maintained for all the key combinations, whereas system is picking up the record, which is most generic.
Please let me know how the system picks up the condition record in rule based atp check.

--> Very basic point but no harm in checking, sometimes we miss very basic things: Do you have all the locations in APO and also products at those location which you want to populate in the sales order.

GATP check without delivery proposal (pop-up window)

Hi experts,
we have the following requirement. The customer would like to implement a gATP check for several products with a neutral product allocation check (in the current project phase). The specific requirement is, no delivery proposal pop-up window should appear if the allocation quantity is insufficient and an automatic confirmation to the requested delivery date should be taken place. The reason for this process is, we would like to see online the remaining allocation quantity in dp planning book (also negative values should be possible)
Currently, I have no idea how to implement such a requirement with standard customizing functionalities. Are there any user exits where I can switch of the delivery proposal and set the confirmation to the requested delivery date?

Hi Jens,
You can setup if the delivery proposal popup is displayed or not in transaction OVZJ in R/3. Choose e.g. setting "C".
The neutral PAL check will create "overconfirmations" in case no free PAL qty is left, which means you would get negative entries, but negative values are not displayed (if I remember correctly). You will just see a zero as remaining allocation qty.
You might use the BADI /SAPAPO/IF_ATP_REQ_ITEM_CONF Method CHANGE to set the request qty = confirmed qty, but in case of neutral checks it is not necessary as you always get a confirmation.

GATP check confirm only total quantity item

Hi Gurus,
When I run GATP check, I'd like to confirm only total item quantity. If there is no quantity enough, the sytem must have confirm 0 (zero) quantiy.
It is possible to configure this situation?

Hi Abate,
you can control this with R/3 transaction OVZJ with 'B' - Full delivery.
The field 'Rule for transferring the results of the availability check' specifies for a particular sales area how the system reacts when the availability check determines that the inventory is insufficient to satisfy the order quantity.
With setting 'B' only full confirmation and so full delivery is allowed.

Is variant class mandatory for characteristic based gatp check?
If not, in case of MTS scenario, when a sales order is created, how ( and where) to specify the characeteristic value based on which ATP check is to be carried out?

I had already gone through the SAP help document. But still my question is a bit different. I will give an example.
A material is defined with batch class. No variant class is maintained.After production, customer number is maintained in the batch characteristic.
At the time of sales order creation, product availability check should take place based on the customer (sold to party) in the sales order by searching stock (with batches) in which the same customer is maintained as a characteristic value.
In short ......Is there any user exit for batch determination during product availability check ?

scenario is like this
1) Create a Sales order in a plant
and there are 10 supply DC
consider we are into batch management and the stocks are in Batches with production date and Expiry date
when i create a sales order for qty 1000 , system must do ATP check in all the plants and pick the right batch according to the expiry date
how to handle in GATP
what are the basic steps for configuration and master setup

ATP check and batch determination are unrelated things. Batch determination follows ATP check. but the SLED parameter may not be able to determine batches for the entire confirmed qty as there may be some bacthes that do not qualify the SLED parameter (assume only warehouse stocks being in scope of check) and this may not have been blocked before hand in say a separate stor loc that is excluded from ATP qty
If you want to do ATP check at all locations..then remember that the check is happening at potentailly different material availability dates. It might be prudent to sort all the batches by remaining shelf life..and that might mean if the order qty is 1000.. then you might have 5 plants and 9 batches meeting the criteria based on oldest stocks first.(assuming this is what you would like to do). You then need to create five different line items in the sales order with different delivery plants and then immediately create delivery and do the picking,.
Let me know if you discover a neater solution around this. You can also try global location determination (and a rule control strategy appropriate) in RBA and see if the proposal is as per the expected result. I have my doubts on this. Also to be considered are delivery group correlation to ship the entire qty at one. So you might have to pack 5 deliveries in one shipment..and probably one invoice?

GATP - Checking Multiple Storage Loations

Hello,
We have a requirement to check for stock at multiple storage locations within a plant.
On order entry, they want to use our default Storage Location (SLOC001), which is the one we ship out of. If there is no stock available there, they want the system to look at the second Storage Location (SLOC002). However, they do not want the Storage Location to flip on the Sales Order from SLOC001 to SLOC002... they want the confirmation to look like it is against SLOC001. This way the Sales Order remains confirmed using the Dates from GATP. Then if the delivery is created and no stock is in SLOC001 but there is stock in SLOC002, we are going to block the delivery for a manual resolution to transfer the stock from SLOC002 to SLOC001.
Basically, they want SLOC001 to include SLOC002 stock.
A few caveats unique to the system:
1. SLOC001 contains the General Available Stock
SLOC002 contains Quality Inspection Stock
2. Stock Type Quality Inspection for General Availability cannot be used because we are also using SAP QM, but not with Material Movements. Basically, an interface with a 3rd party Warehouse Management System creates an Inspection Lot in SAP while another interface from the same system Goods Receipts product into SAP SLOC002 shortly after the Inspection Lot is created. We have looked at the other stock types within SLOC001, but they all seem to have ties into other areas (such as Batch Management).
Is it possible to accomplish this in GATP? Using Rules Based ATP, possibly?
Any help / suggestions / ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't done much with sublocation ATP myself, (in APO a sublocation is the equivalent to an R/3 storage locn) but think standard GATP product check without any mod and without RBA would work.
When you set up your ATP Check controls, make sure you check the 'No sublocation check' indicator. This means that ATP just looks only at the location (In APO, a location is the equiv of an R/3 plant). System will confirm the sales order against available product contained in all storage locations.

I have Material for which the Product allocation is not being consumed. We analysed the issue is that when the sales order is created and ATP check carried out the system will do the ATP check in R/3 and will not go to APO for CTP check which in turn will not consume the Allocation. We have checked the Master data for the material which is same. Please let us know what is the seeting we have to check for the CTP check to be carried out in APO. Waiting for the response.

I am not asking about the configuration setting. The issue is only with this material and is working for all the materials. The material has a Planning type X0 and is their any other settings required for the material for this.The R/3 is integrated and it is working for all the material expect for this material.

User Exit called when online ATP check with GATP

Hi Guys,
I got requirement as below,
Manipulate the GR time defined in the unloading point when the ATP confirmation of sales order is done with GATP online.
I noticed that the online GATP check from R/3 to APO is not going via normal CIF way of communication or at least even i de-registered CIF queue monitoring, the data transfer can still go through properly.
There are two questions popped up:
1. Any body knows the background routine how the data are transferred between R/3 and APO when online GATP is done, and how to debug this process?
2. Which functional module or exit user is called when online GATP check is done from R/3 sales order?
If anyone knows something you are also welcome to share your expertise!

GATP (APO) Check results in ERP Sales order.

Hi Gurus,
We have a requirement to get GATP results (Product Substitution) into ERP Sales order. Please note this is not CRM Sales Order we are dealing with. We are not able to populate product substitution into schedule line.
According to SAP, GATP/ATP happens automatically unlike CRM sales order which has a "ATP check" button. Standard SAP functionality for ERP SLO doesn't have "ATP" button.
My question is, when the automatic check happens in the background, will the ERP sales order populate the "product substitution" results ( assuming that product substitution is set up in APO) from APO into ERP SLO in the schedule line?
Do we need to integrate APO with CRM for ERP sales order?
For example if the order has requested quantity of 100 and only 60 is available, will APO-ATP/GATP (which happens automatically according to SAP in ERP SLO) populate rest of the 40 with product substitution into the schedule lines
Please advice if any of you guys faced similar issue or have implemented ERP Sales order with GATP check.

GATP/ATP Check for Different Order Types for same material

Hi :
I have a material code X for which 2 different type of Sales Order (Say A and B )needs to be created.
For Sales Order Type A the atp check needs to be done in APO through GATP for material code X.
For Sales Order Type B the atp check needs to be done in SAP R/3 ECC 6.0 through availabilty check functionality for same material code X.
It is not possible to create seperate material codes to carry out atp/gatp check seperately in R/3 and in APO.
In real time the atp and cumulative atp position should be same in R/3 and in APO.
Please let me know solution for this issue.

Can you share with us as to how you were able to solve this issue. I have a similar issue like yours and I am totally clueless as to what needs to be done..
My scenario goes this way:
I have to modify the Schedule line dates for a GATP material according to a newly created date which I calculate based on the Route Schedule id (VL51, VL52) and display the same in the Sales Order schedule line items.
Also can I get a new set of schedule line dates from the APO system for a date which I calculate based on the Goods Issue date - VALW-AULWE in any exit using a FM or a BAPI?? so that I can get these dates and populate the same in the Sales Order Schedule line??

Retaining the old schedule lines after the ATP check in the sales order....

Hi Experts,
I would like to retain the old schedule lines after the ATP/GATP check in the sales order for certain conditions.
I don't want to change XVBEP,IVBEP,VBEP contents in the user-exit..
Is there any standard sub-routine or function module to reatain old schedule lines in the sales order so that the schedule lines will not update with the new values after the ATP check ?

In Include LV03VFMM, you have:
* Userexit availability
PERFORM USEREXIT_AVAILABILITY_IN USING DA_ATPPR.
There may be an option to implement some logic in here. However, I tried changing the value of MVERF_POS-EINTEIL[1]-VFPKZ to initial. This will ensure that when FM AVAILABILITY_CHECK_CONTROLLER is called that the following IF statement is untrue:
CHECK NOT P_ATPCSX[] IS INITIAL.
as P_ATPCSX[] Table[0x648].....
However, this will just mean that the 2nd confirmed schedule line (assuming we have > 1 schedule lines) will have a confirmed quantity to zero.
EXIT_SAPLATPC_001 could also be used. However, when I removed the "X" from CHKFLG, I get the same result; the 2nd schedule line will revert to zero.
They were the only tests I tried; I cannot think of any other ways around this....
