GB Has Quit Working - Software Update the Cause?

Out of the blue, Garageband (v4.1.1) has quit working. It worked fine one day, and the next day it didn't work at all. It will open, but I can't click any of the buttons or move any sliders or drop downs. If I hit the spacebar, my song will start playing, but I can't just press the button to stop it. The only thing that's changed on my system was a software update a week or so ago, including an update of Quicktime (I have QT Pro). I've reinstalled Garageband (back to version 4.0) but the same thing happens. I've also unhooked my two MIDI devices and tried starting the program, but still nothing. Does anyone know if there is a way to go back to my previous configuration, before the system update? Any other ideas? I 'm running OS 10.4.11 on a G5.

Have been using firefox for months; now has quit working properly with the websites I use everyday. What happened?

It has quit working with "liverez" which is my web based reservation program. The place I login is https://reservations.liverez.com/login.asp?LogOff=True&Return=Res but once I login, the site does not work as it did before. The website that corresponds with this doesn't look right now either. I can't even use my msn email account with firefox now. I have had to go back to using internet explorer. I have not even tried other sites with foxfire at this time. The other sites I use for work. Things that aren't working are that I can't click on things I need to click on, drop downs aren't showing up, pictures are absent, etc. It is all working fine on internet explorer and used to work on firefox until last night.

Thanks to some hints in several strings, I went back to the Control Panel in XP, clicked on Sounds and Devices, clicked on Audio, then changed the default device to the Realtek HD Audio output I have on my computer. Now I can hear You Tube video sound and other Internet audio fine, at least for now. I will come back if it stops again. Thanks to all who posted.

My iPhoto has quit working after update

so i have updated to the newest software update, and EVERYTHING has updated according, except iPhone. this had come up with the white stop sign in front, and is still the old icon, (orange background). I have gone to the app store and updated, and is says the new iPhoto has been installed. however it obviously hasnt. when i click on the icon its come up with

Just to be sure: By "Newest Software" you mean, you have updated to MacOS X 10.9.3, the newest version of MacOS X?

Is that what you are seeing currently in your Applications folder? Or where are you seeing it? In the Dock?

Where on the App Store are you looking? Do you see the blue iPhoto 9.5.1 icon on your "Purchased" page or the Updates page?
Look into the Applications folder for iPhoto, and search with Spotlight by typing iPhoto into the search field in the upper right corner. You may have both the old and the new iPhoto installed.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

I use a windows 7 pro and have no problem like that from bridge cc when I select a thumbnail then use menu Tools>Photoshop>Image Processor.. I see Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 start up then I see the Image processor dialog and that one file is selected in the bridge I the complete the dialog and click run. The image files are created. Photoshop remains open after the image files are create with no open documents. I need to click on the bridge in the task bar to bring bridge back into focus.

Every time I open Firefox or open a page in a new tab, I get the error message that a script on this page is not responding or has quit working. This has only happened since I upgraded to 5.0.

Even when I start firefox I have to sit here and wait for it to tell me a script on this page is not responding or has quit working. Once that happens which takes a while, I can say stop script and it moves on. I've always liked using firefox and have never had a problem in the past, however if I can't get this particular problem fixed, and I've tried many ways to do this, I may have to change to another browser. I would hope that you could find out why this is happening to me before I make that decision. One other thing, I am using the dreaded Vista OS.

Whenever I connect to the iTunes store i receive an error message "iTunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." This causes iTunes to close. I am using iTunes version 10.5.0.142 on a Windows Vista (64) PC. Same exact thing with me. And no help from apple. Just dropped nearly $600 and cannot get a decent working setup.
Apple's only suggestion was to uninstall iTunes and Quicktime, and re-install... of course (the I.T. Crowd tactic).

Without the actual crash logs nobody can say, but chances are that your graphics hardware is to blame, so update the driver...

My stumble upon has quit working. Keeps saying It will not work with the browser version I have witch is Mozilla 12.0

Pearl 8100 quit working when updating software

I have a Pearl 8100 on AT&T and attempting to update the device software to version 4.5xxx. I downloaded the software onto my Vista computer and while updating, the device crashed as the application said it was removing items. The device shutdown and now the light does a double flash in red and will not start up. I have tried removing the battery, but does not power up, only receive the flashing light. I am unable to master reset as the device needs to be running from everything I can find. How can I get it to work and update the software?

Problem with iTunes. I have Windows 8 on a new laptop. Installed latest version of iTunes. Can play music in My Library but when I click on Itunes Store I get the message "iTunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Just tested something and it worked.
If I put the headphones all the way in, the mac recognizes it as a digital output.
But if i don't put it all the way in, it recognizes it as headphones and works perfectly.
It's probably this crappy headphones.
If anyone has the same problem, try this out.

The Camera Raw button in my Adobe Bridge has quit working and all my raw files are hidden by a cover that says PEF and has a camera raw icon on it. I can open the files in camera raw if I double click on the file but I want to see the files and be able to use the camera raw button. How can I fix it?

This means you have not the correct ACR plug in to support your PEF files or no ACR plug in installed at all.
In photoshop go to the menu Photoshop / About Plug ins / Camera Raw.
Here should be showing the version number of your ACR plug in (only 1 version should show btw)
Then go to this site and check wether your camera is listed and what minimal version you need to open the files:
