GB songs from iMac to iPod?

(believe me I did try to search for this before posting)
How do I get my GarageBand '11 songs I created on my iMac (full iLife version) onto my iPad?
Many thanks in advance!
Bryan

I believe traffic is only one way at the moment.  GarageBand for iOS projects can be exported and opened by GarageBand '11, but no the other way around.
That said, I have heard of at least one story of someone repackaging a GB'11 song and getting into their iPad, but it certainly isn't supported.

  • Transferring songs from ITunes to IPod Nano

I have IPod Nano 5th Generation, and the latest IMac operating system.
Had no problems until today, because yesterday I downloaded the brand new ITunes 11.0 (163). Trying to transfer songs from ITunes to my IPod Nano. Not sure if I should submit this question in the ITunes section or the IPod Nano section, so did both.
ITunes used to - until today - show my device (IPod Nano and its playlists) on the left side column of ITunes, above the ITunes playlists. So I could just click on a ITunes song on one of the ITunes playlists and drag that song into one of the IPod Nano playlists above it. Now with this new version of ITunes nothing shows up on the left side, so I have no way of dragging songs from ITunes to IPod Nano. An IPod Nano icon does appear on my desktop, but clicking on it or its contents does not show any IPod Nano playlists. I could click on the IPod Nano icon on my desktop and then click on "all files" on top. There is an area that shows all the IPod Nano songs (I think),  but it does not show the IPod Nano playlists.
    1) How do I get the IPod Nano playlists to show?
    2) Please advise how to transfer songs from ITunes to IPod Nano playlists when using this new ITunes 11.0.
    3) If this cannot be done, is there a way for me  to go back and reinstall the previous version of ITunes?

I don't think the late/great Steve Jobs had this "new and improved" version of ITunes to be so darn frustrating.  It used to be relatively simple to put songs into a playlist or to import purchased songs from ITunes into an Apple device such as the IPOD Nano.  "Simple" used to be the selling point of Apple products.  What happened?  With this new version, I feel like I've got to contact Apple Support to do simple tasks.  It seems like I'm not the only person having this problem.

Copy the music from Nano to computer by:

Then just sync to the new device

  • I would like to copy all the songs from one Ipod into another. All the songs are into my Itunes account, I tried to drag and drop the songs from the old Ipod to the new one but it doesn't work. Is there a way to do it ?

    Hello everybody,
I would like to copy all the songs from one Ipod into another. All the songs are into my Itunes account, I tried to drag and drop the songs from the old Ipod to the new one but it doesn't work. Is there a way to do it ?
I share one Itunes account with other people from my family and one person would like to keep the same songs on the new Ipod as the ones which were on the old one.
Thanks in advance for your answer.

    Hello Chris,
Thanks for your answer. I was hoping for an easier answer. Too bad there is no drag and drop solution, it would have been much easier.
    Thanks for answering so fast.
    Bye.

  • How to get songs from my old ipod to my new hard drive then to my new ipod?

Recently my computer crash and in order to fix it I had to get a new hard drive which means all my songs' files is gone! I had over 2,000! So I was wondering if there is a way in which I can take all the songs from my ipod and transfer it back to my computer now that it is fixed?? Also, my situation is a bit more complex because I am planning to get a newer ipod.
My old one is a ipod photo (I believe it is the 4th generation) and I am getting the 5th generation ipod video. Is there a way where I can transfer my songs from my old ipod back to my computer or itunes first then plug in my new one so it can update my old songs from my old ipod and my new songs' files in my computer all into my new ipod.
I reinstall itunes because I still use the program to listen to new songs that I have on my computer so I don't know if this information is useful or make things more confusing. I don't know if I should delete this version itune and reinstall the disk that comes with the ipod video? Or is it the same itunes version?
I really need help here I'm so confused on what to do and I am afraid of plugging my ipod in because it would update to my new song on my computer and delete all my old 2,000 songs from my ipod that I do not have backup files too because my old hard drive crash!
Any suggestions, advises, or comments are appreciate!

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod.
The transfer of content sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

You can't copy directly from one iPod to another. If the songs on the old one aren't in iTunes you need to copy them back and update the new one from there. About two years ago I bought an Ipod (4), recently I bought an Iphone 4S. I just want to transfer some songs from my old ipod to my new phone and I am not being capable to find a way in Itunes!! Any help???

    Just transfer them from iTunes.
If they are not in iTunes. connect the iPod, then File > Devices > Transfer purchases.
Then connect the iPhone and sync these songs.

  • Is it possible to delete a song from 5th generation Ipod?

    Hi All
Is it possible to delete a song from 5th generation Ipod, if so, how can this be done?

Connect your iPod Nano to your computer.  Go into iTunes & click on Music or your playlist under "Devices."
Delete the songs from iTunes.  Once deleting is done, eject your iPod Nano.

How do I transfer songs from imac to iPhone?

You can connect your iPhone to your computer.  Once your phone is connected via the USB cable to the computer, iTunes should launch.  If it doesn't, you can launch iTunes manually.
In iTunes, you should see your iPhone button appear at the top right next to the iTunes Store button (this is for iTunes 11).  Click on that button and you can choose how or what songs you want to sync over to iTunes.

The ipod was on an account my mom had made for me when I was younger. The iphone is under an account I made.
