GBIC/SFP w/ MTRJ Connector for 3560G Switch?

I have a WS-C3560G-24PS switch with four SFP ports and I want to use the SFP ports to connect it to our backbone. Our fiber distribution boxes use ST connections. I have several ST to MTRJ 62.5/125 multimode patch cables, but I cannot find a SFP GBIC that uses a MTRJ connector. Is this possible and/or supported or do I have to get new cables & GBIC's?

I am unaware of any SFP transceiver modules that use MT-RJ connectors. They all use LC style.
To interface your SFP's LC connectors to the distribution boxes ST connectors, you can purchase fiber jumper cables with ST on one end and LC on the other.

GBIC/SFP Not Linking

I'm rather unexperienced in the optical networking, so I'm looking for some advice.
I manage one end of a fiber link to our internet provider, on my end I have this switch:
cisco WS-C2950G-48-EI
12.1(22)EA2-C2950-I6Q4L2-M
It has a GBIC labeled 30-0703-01 1000Base - LX 1300nm Laser
From the GBIC there is a cable with the same style connectors on both ends that goes to a fiber patch panel, then on to my provider.
The patch cable is 2 strands bonded together that are yellow, with blue ends, and has printed on it the text Optical Cable Corporation .... Single Mode .... Riser
I'd like to replace it with this switch:
WS-C3560G-48PS

This switch has a SFP labeled GLC-LH-SM 30-1299-02
And I have a patch cable that is orange with tan connectors (black boots) on both ends, one end of this cable fits the old GBIC/Patch Panel, the other, the new SFP. (it was sold to me as N316-01M Duples Fiber Optic Patch Cable - 1M LC/SC 62.5/125 Fibre) The packing slip says "FPC MM 62 2F LC SC 1M" "CERAMIC OFNP ZIP (2.0MM) CRN"
When I plug the new SFP into the patch panel with the orange cable, I don't get any link lights on the SFP, when I link the two switches together with the new cable, I get a link.
What can I do to diagnose this problem, and make this work?

As Tom mentioned you need a Single Mode Fiber Patch Cable instead of N316-01M Duples Fiber Optic Patch Cable - 1M LC/SC 62.5/125 Fibre) The packing slip says "FPC MM 62 2F LC SC 1M" "CERAMIC OFNP ZIP (2.0MM) CRN".
As far as i know a receiver interface have lens which is bigger than the Core diameter of Single mode fiber (8-10micron) so you get the link but it is possible that when you try you get errors (You can try by connecting your 2 switches with you Multimode Cable and test with some traffice.)
But when you are trying to connect to a patch panel which is single mode, you are trying to send light from a 62 micron pipe to a 9 micron pipe which is very difficult.So you have no link.
If you want to try , A simple experiment will tell you how easy is to couple ligh into a Multimode cable, Just keep a MM patch cable in front of a light bulb and you can see light other end . Try same thing with Single mode cable you will see nothing.

Disabled GBIC SFP module

I have 2 WS-3750-48PS switches in a stack, i have today installed 2 x MGBSX1 sfp's to link new fibre to other building on the grounds.
I have now got 2 types of error messages showing :-
EVENT NOTIFICATION -
Description: Gi1/0/3: This port has been disabled because Non Compliant Gigabit Interface Converter (GBIC) connector detected.
Recommendation: Replace connector with cisco compliant Gigabit Interface Converter (GBIC) connector. Refer switch technical documentation to determine cisco compliant connector. Enable the port again.
SYSTEM MESSAGES
unfortunately i haven't got the full message but it was saying thet there was a CRC error in the EEPROM and that maybe a software update would rectify the problem.
The stack is running 12.2(35)SE5-IP-BASE software at the moment and i have seen on a Cisco page that ALL cwdm sfp's are compatible with my switches (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps4999/products_tech_note09186a00807a30d6.shtml#support3)
Should i upgrade the software to 12.2.55-SE3 ?

The reason for the Non Compliant error message is that the MGBSX1 sfp is not a "compatible" product with the WS-3750-48PS switch, per the following compatibility document:

According to the document you referenced, the following statement may be the reason you are receiving CRC errors on the port.
"Use Third Party SFP Modules
The use of third party SFP transceivers with Cisco devices is not supported by Cisco. Cisco-approved SFP modules have a serial EEPROM that contains the module serial number, the vendor name and ID, a unique security code, and cyclic redundancy check (CRC). When an SFP module is inserted in the switch, the switch software reads the EEPROM to verify the serial number, vendor name and vendor ID, and recomputes the security code and CRC. If the serial number, the vendor name or vendor ID, the security code, or CRC is invalid, the software generates this security error message and places the interface in an error-disabled state."

Issue with attunity connectors for SSIS 2012

hi ,
i have installed the attunity connectors for teradata .
the connector is able to transfer data from teradata to sql server pretty fast but there are some issues which i am facing .
any help is appreciated.
steps i am using :
1. i am pulling data from teradata to sql server using a sql command .
the issue .
the query which i type in teradata source should be in a line else it will throw a error for new line character.
2nd issue :
the teradata source pulls the data but the package(when executing from Data Tools visual studio) doesnot completes successfully . it says that package is successfully executed please click here to switch to design mode .
so if there is any step after this step then it will not execute and the package gets stuck at this point .

So as ypou can see the third image contains the no of rows in the table in teradata is264558. bu the no of rows transferred from teradata to sql server is 254696. and this keeps on running even when u can see that the first snapshot says that the package
has finished the execution . but data is still pending .
seems like a wierd issue . Any help/guidance is appreciated.

Searching for a switch

Hello,
I'm searching for a switch and maybe some people know one that adheres to what I'm looking for.
* I would like a switch with not too many ports - 5 or so.
* It has to be of good quality. I was thinking about 3com/smc?-switches ... ? They don't seem to have something that fullfills the requirements, which I'm writing down here.
* It has to be a full gigabit-switch. I was thinking about rolling out a minimum of cat 6-cable. It seems that the shop that I look at from time to time doesn't sell cat 6, but cat 7, so I may choose that.
* It has to support vlans (802.1q?) and priorization (802.1p).
* It would be nice to have POE (803.3af)
* Price around 100 €. If I start buying switches, I probably need more than 1.
It would also be nice if it could report when there is a hardware-failure or so, but that isn't necessary. I think that the cat-6-connectors are gold-plated, not? Maybe that is a nice extra.
I find my list of requirements reasonable ..., but maybe there is not a lot of interest in these items by people? Maybe I' missing some important things, so feel free to add them if you like (of course ).

Cannot find the Power Led connector for JFP1 to connect on K8N Neo FSR

Hi,
I have just bought the MSI K8N Neo FSR (MS 7030) to build a new computer with (amongst others) an Athlon 64 3000 processor and an Enermax 3051 case.
I can't even get a start: if I click on "Power" I just get a red light under the Power button for 1 second and nothing start.
This may be related with the fact that I did not find a "Power LED" connector for JFP1 (I have connected all the others connectors, including the Power LED one for JFP2).

Precisions:
At the beginning, I had forgotten to connect the ATX 12V power connector on JPW1.
After having done that without getting an improvement, I did a Clear CMOS (after having unplug the power cable).
Now the CPU fan begins to turn just when I switch the power on from back of the case (and not from the power button) and stops turning after five seconds.
Sometimes, I get an orange light during 1/2 second on the D-bracket LEDs.

I have tried a different power unit, different JFP1 configerations, removing and replacing MB battery, changing the jumper settings on JBAT1 to clear CMOS.
Everything is just dead, no power anywhere. I get the fan light inside the Power unit to light up for 1 second when i connect the power cable and thats it. Its a 450 Watt power unit so it should be plenty. Maybe i will try removing the board and starting it that way.
This system has never worked, i just built it.

JBOD 9-pin connector to SAN switch

There are JBODs with 9-pin D-type connector. my SAN switch has fibre SFP connector. Is there a cable to connect them?

Yes. There is something called a MIA, Media Interface adapter, and it will convert copper to Fibre. Usually you plug the MIA into the back on the JBOD and attach the fibre to the MIA and the switch. Often times MIA require SC type fibre connections where as the MDS used LC type connects, just make sure you get a fibre cable that is SC on one end and LC on the other. These cables are common since most patch panels use the SC interface.

Modules compatible with MT-RJ Connectors for CAT3750G

We recently encountered a problem regarding fiber optic modules and connectors. We plan to overhaul our very simple network infracstructure using Cisco Switches. Done some research and stuff about the product line. We ordered 3750G for our core and a 2960Gs and ordered all GLC-SX-MM, thinking that all of them uses the same types of connections. However, when we are about to deploy them, we noticed that our fiber optice connectors do not match with that of the GLC-SX-MM. So instead, we researched about the connector that we encountered. Upon research, we figured out that we currently use an MT-RJ connector, whilst the GLC-SX-MM requires an LC connector, if I got that right. Question is, if there is any module that could accomodate MT-RJ connectors.
P.S. We also have SC Duplex Connectors too. Are there any other that could also support SC Duplex connectors for 3750Gs and 2960Gs? I guess this would be what you call a newbie mistake in cabling.

SFP with LC connector to be used with SC single mode fiber termination (Cisco2960S)

I have a question for a Cisco CATALYST WS-C2960S-24TS-L with SFP GLC-LH-SM (LC connector).
The problem is that we have an SC single mode fiber termination.
Is there any chance to provide with an SFP with SC connector. In case not, what alternatives do I have? Is there any Cisco recommended SC-LC converter/cable?

DMS Connector for KM : I see only one document type from the document area

Hi,
The DMS connector is installed successfully on KM.
I can display folder tree and documents but I see only one type of document.
I mean, when I use transaction OAC0, I see different content repository defined in DMS.
I wonder where is the setting that specified which content is link to the DMS connector for KM.

I installed the DMS once, but my experience how to use it is poor.
In the Backend ( Transaction CV01N i think,) you can store search variants using the prefix you have defined for the DMSRM (default is KM_<theName>). This variants can be used to filter out several documents. There must be a way to give authorizations on them. Maybe you will have to use a security manager, i don't know.. in our case the user persistence (authScheme) was SAP-System an no TREX involved.
It is not much, but maybe it helps...

But I have tried both the options for putting the jar in Third Party and also by uploading using the OOTB utility UploadJar.sh.
But it is giving the same error.
I have tired rebouncing the server and also Purge cached, but no success.
Just to mention again, I have tried with all the last 3 postgres JDBC4 driver available on the site (u mentioned).
So, any other clue?

Compatible connectors for OIM 9.1.0

I am using OIM 9.1.0 but the problem is most of the connectors available for download are for the prior versions like 9.0.4 or before. And these connectors do not work with OIM 9.1.0 (Does not show in OIM Interface for Installation when copied to ConnectorDefaultDirectory).
Any idea where can i get a connector for Sun One LDAP which can work with OIM 9.1.0

You can install the connectors of connector pack 9.0.4 as described in their documentation. They will work also with OIM 9.1it's just more work to do than just clicking install.
