    No app on the iPod is required.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    iCloud: Erase your device
    iCloud: Use Lost Mode
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

  • How to block lost iPod?

    Hi,
    I lost my iPod Touch at the gym tonight and, so far, no one has found it. I'm pretty sure that by now, my iPod has a new owner. That's fine, but the thing is: all my contacts (including telephone numbers, e-mails and sometimes, physical addresses) were in it. I don't want my friends geting crank calls or worse.
    Is there a way for Apple to block the iPod the next time it is connected to the store or even an iTunes? Maybe a command they can issue that can erase teh contents on that iPod?
    Thanks for any help you might give me.
    Tchau!

    If you didn't have the passcode lock set, there's really nothing that can be done, unfortunately

    Hi clicksteps
    You can lock,factory reset or even locate(if location services are enabled)your phone using your Google account(the Google account you were using on your phone).Go to https://www.google.com/dashboard/ -> Sign in to your Google account(the one used on the phone)->go to Android/Manage active devices->from there you can ''Ring'',''Lock'',''Erase'',''Locate'' or ''Rename'' the device.
    Unfortunately only the mobile service providers/operators can ''blacklist'' a certain IMEI number.
    The IMEI number can also help local authorities(local police department) to track down your phone.
    Hope this helps

  • Block lost iphone

    I lost my iphone and had find my phone installed. I sent a message to block the phone, but still shows as pending action because the phone has been offline since. does this mean the phone is blocked and cant be used by anyone?

    For Find My Phone to work, the phone MUST be connected to the Internet. Your phone could be offline for a number of reasons...not connected to the Internet...run out of battery...someone found it & either turned off Find My Phone or restored the phone. Any of these things will prevent Find My Phone from working.

    Hello,
    This thread contains all there is concerning your unfortunate situation:

    Given how important the data on your BB is, we can only hope that you were using a device lock password, for that will ensure that your data is indeed protected. If you did not use that, well...what can I say...good security capabilities can be provided, but it requires that the human actually use them in order to be effective.
    Good luck!

    hi, thee is any possibility to block a stolen macbook and iphone in order to not be able to be used anymore?

    These won't protect your data or recover the item but they are dog-in-the-manger possibilities:

    hi... i lost my iphone and i coudlnt find a way to erase the data without internet... have an account on mobileme and find my iphone but internet is not switched on in my iphone... is there any other way to erase all the data.....

    Nobody can get access to your phone from this end.  Not Apple for sure.  Your service carrier may block access to actual phone use when you contact them, but the data will still be there. Did you have a password set on it?  If you did, it will automatically lock after a certain number of tries and will have to be completely reset to use again.  Frankly, if it was stolen and there is a password it is likely the thief will just recover the whole phone, wiping your information from it.

  • Global cache average current block request

    Hi all experts,
    I am getting this error frequently through 12C EM. Please tell me how I can suppress this alert so that I don't get it in future.
    Name=<sid>_<instancename>
    Type=Database Instance
    Host=<servername>.<domainname>
    Metric=Global Cache Average Current Block Request Time (centi-seconds)
    Timestamp xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Severity=Critical
    Message=Metrics "Global Cache Average Current Get Time 62" is at 1.46154
    Rule Name=XXProd
    Rule Owner=SYS

    this metric needs to be disabled in EM at the target level for each instance. you can disable "Global Cache Statistics" metrics in two different ways:
    Navigate to the instance, then click the Oracle Database drop-down -> Monitoring -> All Metrics -> (expand) Global Cache Statistics
    -> Global Cache Average CR Block Request Time (centi-seconds)
    -> Global Cache Average Current Block Request Time (centi-seconds)
    -> Global Cache Blocks Corrupt
    -> Global Cache Blocks Lost
    a. At the top level (Global Cache Statistics), click the [Modify] button , then the (*) Disable radio button to disable the entire group
    b. If only disabling the individual metric (Global Cache Average CR Block Request Time (centi-seconds)), click on Modify Thresholds button to delete the values. Note that empty Thresholds will disable alerts for that metric.
    Same can be done via navigation to the Cluster database instance -> Oracle Database drop-down -> Monitoring -> Metric and Collection Settings -> Global Cache Statistics

  • Post Upgrade SQL Performance Issue

    Hello,
    I Just Upgraded/Migrated my database from 11.1.0.6 SE to 11.2.0.3 EE. I did this with datapump export/import out of the 11.1.0.6 and into a new 11.2.0.3 database. Both the old and the new database are on the same Linux server. The new database has 2GB more RAM assigned to its SGA then the old one. Both DB are using AMM.
    The strange part is I have a SQL statement that completes in 1 second in the Old DB and takes 30 seconds in the new one. I even moved the SQL Plan from the Old DB into the New DB so they are using the same plan.
    To sum up the issue. I have one SQL statement using the same SQL Plan running at dramatically different speeds on two different databases on the same server. The databases are 11.1.0.7 SE and 11.2.0.3 EE.
    Not sure what is going on or how to fix it, Any help would be great!
    I have included Explains and Auto Traces from both NEW and OLD databases.

    Hi Srini,
    Yes the stats on the tables and indexes are current in both DBs. However the NEW DB has "System Stats" in sys.aux_stats$ and the OLD DB does not. The old DB has optimizer_index_caching=0 and optimizer_index_cost_adj=100. The new DB as them at optimizer_index_caching=90 and optimizer_index_cost_adj=25 but should not be using them because of the "System Stats".
    Also I thought none of the SQL Optimize stuff would matter because I forced in my own SQL Plan using SPM.
