GCU Discount Didn't Apply to Purchase In Store

I bought a couple items and my GCU discount didn't apply.  I have never had this problem before.  What can be done about?  I still have my receipt but don't want to have to go all the way to the store to return and re-buy.

It is strange that your My Best Buy member ID associated with your active Gamers Club Unlocked membership was attached to your purchase, but you didn't receive the benefits. I'm sorry for any hassle it would cause to return to the store to have this straightened out.
Using the email address you registered with the forum, I was able to locate the purchase. It would seem that your items should have qualified, and I am sending you a private message with further information in regards to this.   • May 25th Weekly Ad...GCU discount does not apply?

    Why does the 20% off a new game purchase not apply to the weekly ad where you get $20 off a game with the purchase of watch dogs? Is there fine print that says the 20% discount excludes sale offers?

  • Am I missing out the GCU promotion for Destiny console bundle purchased on online?

    I preordered the PS4 Destiny bundle on Bestbuy.com and picked it up at my local bestbuy. GCU is not included on my receipt. I see on the fine prints that this promotion is for in-store only. Am I missing out?

    Thanks for your interest in the Gamers' Club Unlocked program!
    In order to qualify for this week's GCU promotion, both a qualifying console and GCU membership must be purchased on the same transaction. Since GCU memberships are only available for purchase in-store, this means you will need to return your console and re-purchase it in order to receive the offer.

    I also had the same problem my 10% trade in didn't go through and I'm a GCU member. I still have the trade in receipt if you need it.

  • Pre-Order Price Adjusted without GCU discount

    I had pre-ordered a 3DS game awhile back and the original price had been $39.99.  With the Gamer's Club Unlocked discount, my discounted price was $31.99.  The price of the game eventually lowered to $29.99.  Once my order ({Removed per Forum Guidelines}) shipped, my price was adjusted from $31.99 to $29.99.  Shouldn't it be adjusting to $23.99 to account for the GCU discount?

    Like enuf mentioned, your Gamers' Club Unlocked discount should have automatically applied to your order, even after the lower launch week pricing had been taken into consideration. No need to worry though! I've had the chance to review your order and it looks like the missing difference was credited earlier today. If you haven't already done so, I'd encourage you to check both your inbox and junk mail folders for a message confirming this adjustment. Please also keep in mind that the funds may not post to the paying card right away -- the exact timeframe required varies by financial institution.

  • Unable to price match Shadow of Morder including GCU discount

    Well I think was Sunday I called in try to get Shadow of Mordor price matched at currently weekly ad price of $49.99.  As the purchase was made with the GCU, the phone rep had no clue what GCU was and did not know that the GCU discount stacks with price matches on Best Buy prices.  Anyways a note was sent to the Price match department and I was told I would be contacted within 24 hours which has past by a few days already.
    I just wanted to get this down in writing now before sale ends.  GCU being a new program seems be unheard of by many employees.  I hope word spreads out to all customer reps, so these issues could be solved more easily.  I know this isn't going to happen anytime soon, as not employes do not know everything about the company they work.  Even the company I work for I don't know everything when someone asks me a question.

    We recently communicated a detailed overview of the Gamers' Club Unlocked program and its benefits to our retail stores and support teams, so it's disheartening to learn that customers may still be experiencing difficulties obtaining price adjustments when we lower our sale price on qualifying items. I'd be frustrated too if I found myself in a similar situation, especially if follow-up was promised but no indication was given exactly when that might occur.

  • Shopping Cart - Show discount code is applied and the discount amount (only when entered)

    Hi,
    Customers are getting confused whether their discount code is applied or not - does anyone know a way to show that a discount code has been applied (but if no discount code is entered then they wont see the line)
    We tried {tag_invoicediscountamount} but this shows for everyone - we would only want it to show if a discount is actually entered like below:
    i.e. if no discount code is entered then they wont see any of the yellow circled bits.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    First, epub has nothing to do with size, it is a file format that is popularly used for ebooks, but ebooks published in epub file formats vary greatly in file size.
    It will depend on where you buy it.  Many books are DRM locked (Digital Rights Management, a software lock).  If so, in order to load it into another companies reader or reader software, you need to use something like Adobe Digital Editions to "authorize" the book on the device.  Apple's iBook software does not work with ADE.
    If the book was DRM free, you should be able to read it in any ereader or ereader program that supports epub format.
    If the book is DRM locked to B&N, Amazon, Kobo or whichever seller you shopped from, then the simples thing is to download their free app for the iPad (they all make one, in fact they all make free apps for iPad, Android, Mac OS X and Windows).
    So the short answer is yes, you should be able to read any epub ebook file on an iPad, although not necessarily in iBook.
    So, books from
    Amazon - get the Kindle reader app
    B&N - get the Nook reader app
    Kobo - get the Kobo reader app
    non-DRM epubs can be read in iBook, Nook, Kobo, or Google Play

    I purchased a Verizon phone online (add-a-line to a family plan) from a 3rd party retailer and asked to port my number from a different carrier. I haven't received any communication from them about the order yet and it's been a few days and I'm getting uneasy reviews about them and their service.
    My question is, can I go into a store and purchase a phone and port my number over and then cancel the online order when I can contact them or when I receive the online phone? Or do I need to first cancel the order before I can purchase in store and port my number?

    I think I might have found an answer - importing a folder and or Limewire!
    Either Limewire mess's with the files, folder or your system or iTunes attempts to stop illegally downloaded files being played. iTunes might also do it if importing a lot of files in one go.
    I imported a music folder that isn't mine from our home network drive that has a few tracks in it downloaded through Limewire. I re checked some of the files in Ableton Live and they are actually damaged! So I tried importing one of the Limewire tunes again individually after finding some info online (links to the pages at bottom) and the track plays no prob now. I also un-checked the "look for shared folders" in iTunes preferences.
    For about 2 years now I haven't been able to import more than 3 files at a time which is why I imported a whole folder (about 50 tracks) just after the software update and C.D importing.
    My concern is that importing a whole folder even without any Limewire downloads in it might well be treated this way by iTunes. Most of the tracks in our network drive folder that have been downloaded through Limewire are legit direct connect transfers from producer to producer or legit submitted tracks!
