GCU Discount not applied on purchase

I bought the Gamers Club Unlocked card online and took it into the store to activate it. After activating, I bought 1 game and preordered another (paid in full) game in store, using a $15 RZ certificate for part of it. I asked the cashier if it took off the 20% for Gamers Club, and he said he thinks the RZ certificate "supercedes" the Gamers Club discount. I didn't believe this was true, but didn't have time to argue and/or wait for a manager to try to figure it all out. First, is this true? I don't believe it is, because that wouldn't make much sense. Second, is there are way I can get the discount applied on those two games? If not, I can just return them and fix the GCU issue and rebuy them. If I do this, do I get my $15 RZ certificate back, or is that lost forever? Thanks!

I’m glad to hear you joined the elite of the elite by purchasing the My Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked membership.  Unfortunately, it sounds as though the store associate wasn’t completely up on how the program works and for that I apologize.
If the membership is activated correctly at the store, you should see the 20% discount on the new game and you should also be able to apply a rewards certificate to the purchase as well.  With pre-orders, since you are not actually buying a game yet, the discount is applied when you pick up the game; in addition, reward certificates are not able to be used on a pre-order, so this transaction may have been tricky.
However, the main issue that I see is that it appears the GCU was not activated correctly, which is why you most likely did not see the 20% discount.  If you can send me a private message with your full name, My Best Buy membership ID number and the BestBuy.com order number starting with BBY01 that had your GCU membership purchase on it, I can look further into this.

  • 20% off GCU did not apply at register

    Had an issue today when I went to pick up my Forza Horizon 2 pre-order.  Even though my rewards info was accepted in the system, the 20% GCU did not get applied to my purchase.  The cashier had no explaination to offer, other than "they are changing that program to have different offers now."  I knew that was completely pulled out of left field, so I asked her if anyone else had this same issue today.  She said that, yes, a few people also had the same thing happen.
    My 'My Best Buy' account info is listed on my receipt, so I don't understand why GCU didn't get applied.  I did receive my DLC code, so that is a plus.  Please help.  thanks

    If you believe your Gamers' Club Unlocked discount did not apply to your purchase, then you will need to return to your local store's customer service desk when you have the chance to do so. An on-site rep should be able to re-ring the sale, making sure that any applicable discounts and promotions are properly applied. If you have any additional questions, remember that you can always ask to speak with a member of the on-site management team.

  • Contract Pricing Discount Not Applied to Service Order

    Hi Guru's
    We have recently applied Enhancement Pack 3 to our system and now have an issue where the service contract discount is not applying to new service order items.  The service contract is being determined correctly, but the pricing condition for contract discount is not being applied - so has to be added manually.
    Has anyone else applied EHP3 and seen this issue?

  • GCU discount did not applied to purchase.

    I ordered a brand new game a few days ago and just noticed that GCU 20% off discount wasn't taken off. I'm 100% positive I was logged in when I made the purchase.

  • GCU membership not applied to online account

    A GCU membership was purchased using my account, however it is not tied to my online account. The card was used in store and the discount was received on a new game. I also see the purchase in my purchase history on my online account. What could be going on here?

    when user manualy type <b>condition</b> system is not calculating but when ur selecting by F4 it is calculating correctly
    Then check Spelling that he is typing for condition also check case of that condition( conditions are case sensitive )

  • Pre-order not applied to purchase

    Once again, my local best buy has messed up my purchase. Literally every single time I purchase a game they mess something up. 
    Today, I picked up the Master Chief Collection. I pre-ordered it several weeks ago and put $15 down. After I purchased the game I realized they didn't subtract the pre-order amount from my final purchase. Who do I need to talk to at the store? Is there a store wide manager or something?

  • [Petition] Gamers Club Unlocked 20% off not on digital purchases.

    Hi, Matt, Mike, Kyle and all the other awesome BBY people out there helping and making a TRUE difference when it comes to customer service.
    Today I wish to bring a concern about the great and awesome 20% off discount included with the new Gamers Club Unlocked membership. As an avid gamer for nearly my whole life from my first visit to the arcade to being impressed by Resogun at 30 years old, gaming is a very important part of my life and the 20% off discount makes it even better.
    There is only one gripe I have about it, and I'm sure thousands around the nation feel the same way, and other won't care. But for me, the next generation brings about the proper advent of digital distribution of games. And I love having the convenience of not needing to switch discs between games which especially comes in handy when using the Remote Play feature on the PS4 with the Vita. But the discount only applies to disc based games, not digital.
    I know that price adjustments on digital games if sold in store is doable. I recently had Best Buy price match Amazon/Walmart who had Killzone Shadow Fall on sale both digital and retail copies for 48.99 which happens to be the cost for GCU members if we use our 20% off discount. I want to petition for Best Buy to update their policy and allow GCU 20% off discount to be applicable to digital purchases too. This would be an invaluable addition to end the benefit of the 20% GCU discount not applying to gamers such as myself.

  • May 25th Weekly Ad...GCU discount does not apply?

    Why does the 20% off a new game purchase not apply to the weekly ad where you get $20 off a game with the purchase of watch dogs? Is there fine print that says the 20% discount excludes sale offers?

    It is strange that your My Best Buy member ID associated with your active Gamers Club Unlocked membership was attached to your purchase, but you didn't receive the benefits. I'm sorry for any hassle it would cause to return to the store to have this straightened out.

  • Gamers Club Not Applying to Online Purchase

    This evening I went online to purchase a PS4 game and my GCU discount isn't being applied. I purchased my GCU subscription during the deal you had when Mortal Kombat X was released. I brought the card I received in the mail to the store and they informed me it was linked to my account, but I have noticed the last two times I've been in a physical store a manager has had to come over to get my discount applied. Any help you could provide I would grealy appreciate.

  • Scheduled Discount mentioned on the AP Invoice, did not apply the discount

         The user created an AP invoice on 10/10/2013, added the scheduled payment details on 10/11/2013 and also added the first discount date: 10/19/2013.
    The discount has still not applied even after almost a month. Need to get this solved asap.

    Did you check the / Setup / Options / Payables window? Do you have the "Always Take Discount" checkbox selected?
    What about at the Supplier and Supplier Site windows?
    Are you getting discounts for any suppliers?

  • GCU Trade-in bonus not applied

    On Thursday July 31st I traded in Dragon's Crown for the PS3. I was just reviewing the benefits of being an unlocked member and noticed that I did not receive the 10% trade in bonus. The base trade-in value was $10 and I only received $10 credit. While 10% of that is a small amount, I am concerned that my GCU is not working properly as I entered in and confirmed my information in store. Should I be concermed about this?

    Sorry to hear your GCU benefits might not have been properly applied to your recent trade! As long as your My Best Buy membership info was entered at the beginning of the transaction, then both the trade-in credit bonus and bonus points should have been applied automatically.

  • 1st Day with Verizon, not too thrilled. 2-3 Billing Cycles until Employer Discount is Applied.

    Deciding to switch from Sprint, I signed up with Verizon because my employer offers a company discount.  My phones were activated last night and I logged into my account after getting the temp. password via text and signed up for the discount.
    After not noticing a change in the bill for a few hours, I contacted the company's Verizon Rep to ask about this.  I was told the discount would apply in the next 2-3 billing cycles.  This was the entire point of me switching.
    When I signed up with Sprint a number of years back, I didn't have to wait months for this to go through.
    Has this happened to anyone else?  Any tips for getting this applied to my first bill?

    When you first apply for the discount, it doesn't show on your bill because the bill has already been printed (if you are that far).
    When you agreed to the terms and conditions, it does state a few bill cycles, but that it will be applied. you can log in to your My Verizon to see that the discount is showing on the right hand side, it will show your employer and the percentage amount.
    This is normal. It's part of the entire process when signing up. Verizon has to verify the discount when it's applied so it can take 1-4 cycles. Mine showed up after 1 full cycle. So if I started service a week ago, my first bill will not show the discount but my second bill did.

    Printing is very slow on my Lexmark 250DN laser printer since 10.6. Each time I print a page, I get a dialog "Sending print data..." for a minute before the printer start doing something. On Mac OS 10.5.8, the printer start immediately, as it does wi
