GDM: How to display it in the first screen (Dual monitors)
I have a PCI Express video card which i use for video-output for two screens.
The hing is that when i boot the system up, and gnome gives me the choice for selecting the user and so (GDM), this appears in the secondary screen, which is most of the time switched off.....
Lets say, like i have two screens: Left one and right one: The left one is the one that has the gnome menus, the system tray of the apps, and the right one is the one i move the apps once opened for watching in a bigger screen (it's a tv): This right screen is the one that displays the GDM.... Is there any setting where i can say GDM to appear in the left screen instead?

I think that GDM currently decides which monitor it shows up on by where the mouse is, and X starts the mouse exactly in the horizontal center of the full span of the two monitors.. so GDM shows up on the monitor with a wider resolution if they differ, because it contains the center point.
On other forums, some people say that when X starts, you can move the mouse over to the monitor you want quickly before GDM starts and it will show up there.. someone else said that you can move the mouse, click on the monitor you want, hit enter, and the GDM window moves there. I haven't tested either suggestion yet, but I have exactly what you're describing happen to my monitors at work.. it just doesn't bother me because I keep them both on at once
I don't know of a setting to tell X to start the mouse to the left or right, or to tell GDM which monitor to display on.

How to skip the first screen in se38
hi experts,
I am struck up somewhere in getters and setters in field symbols.
I am setting the file name field in se38 and trying to directly go to display mode of the program and i am doing that through RS_SPOOL_ACCESS . I am not able to skip the first screen of se38 and go to diplay mode of the program.
How can i do that. Skip first screen is not working.If all else fails, partial BDC may be in order.

Display totals on the first line in ALV grid and ALV LIST
Generally we wll display totals at the end..
bu the requirement is to display it in the first line of the column.
how to display the totals in the first line?
I have used ALV GRID and ALV LIST (choice) using function modules.

Does anyone know how to display (in LabVIEW) the memory use during execution of an image and data acquisition VI to predict when it is time to cease the acquisition to prevent the program crashing?
I am acquiring images and data to a buffer on the edge of the while loop, and am finding that the crashing of the program is unpredictable, but almost always due to a memory saturation when the buffers gets too big.
I have attached the VI.

This may sound stupid, but I'm gonna throw it out there anyway. Is it possible, that if I have enough junk on my desktop it might disrupt the signal? It seems odd, but it kind of looks like my signal is strong and relatively steady now that I've cleaned my desktop. I do tend to get very cluttered. I use a lot of reference images and save text clippings to use later... it just piles up very quickly.
So, I wonder if all that extra effort my system has to do keeping up with the junk might have something to do with the drop outs? -

Sounds like a key on the keyboard is stuck down. Does it disappear if you disconnect the keyboard?

if u get 3 entires, then u need to place ur entry in the fourth row in that table control thru BDC.

Adds selection field at the first screen of FBL3N (G/L line item display)
I would like to adds line item selection field at the default first screen of FBL3N.
The field I'd like to add at the default selection screen is :Amount.
This field can be selected at dynamic selection. But I'd like to use the field at the first screen of FBL3N, not in daynamic selection screen.
If anyone knows how to add the fields into FBL3N first screen, please advice me how to do it.

You can not add the new fields in the selection criteria thats the reason dynamic options are given for the further selection.
If you still want to add in the selection screen then go for a customisation and coordinate with the ABAPer which is not suggestable as it is readily avilable in dynamic selection. -

As per the OP's requirement he has to print 3 copies of the invoice. Which according to my understanding should be printed at the same time ? May be i am wrong in interpreting this.
You must be knowing you can control the print params of the SmartForms in CONTROL_PARAMETERS where you set the NO_DIALOG & in the OUTPUT_OPTIONS pass the number of copies.
I think the solution you have proposed the "Original Copy" will be printed only once. (Correct me if i am wrong)
Every time the user prints the invoice again he will be getting a "Duplicate Copy". If this is what the OP wants the logic is perfect

If you're using iTunes 11, they've changed where the duplicate option is. You can now find it under the View menu. Note, if you hold Option on that menu, it'll give you the "exact" option.

I would think (from your original post) that the document was created in Numbers '08. Numbers 3.2.2 will not open a Numbers '08 document. Hence the message to save in Numbers '09. It looks as though your colleague must export to Excel and send you the Excel version.

Calling a transaction and skipping the first screen
Dear forumers,
In my report program, I will need to call a custom transaction with skipping the first screen.
And, this custom transaction is created from a query.
Currently, the codes look like below:-
SET PARAMETER ID: 'BUK' FIELD w_output-bukrs,
'AN1' FIELD w_output-anln1.
CALL TRANSACTION 'ZCUSTQ' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
Everything works perfectly alright except for one thing: The first screen is not skipped. When the custom transaction is called, the first screen is still displayed to the user.
Additionally, I also found out that the "SKIP FIRST SCREEN" does not work because the screen's next screen number is the same. This means the screen 1000's next screen is 1000 as well.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this? Please help.
This addition suppresses the display of a screen of the initial dynpro of a called dialog transaction. The addition AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN suppresses the first screen under these prerequisites:
For the initial dynpro, in the Screen Painter the own dynpro number must not be specified as the next screen number.
All mandatory input fields of the initial dynpro must be filled completely and with the correct values by the SPA/GPA parameters
If these prerequisites are met, that screen of the dynpro is displayed that is specified in the Screen Painter as the next dynpro of the initial dynpro.For Any Query , if you want to create the Transaction you need to use the Tcode START_REPORT
in general it will skip the first Transaction codes selection screen , Not your query reports selection screen.
I checked and verfied...
Steps to verify the issue..
1.Go to SE93 ,Now you will go for parametric transaction.
2. give the Transaction as START_REPORT, there you will have option Skip Initial Screen. You uncheck that.
3. Now give all information related to your query.
and see the effect
call TRANSACTION 'YYTCODE AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
This will always trying to skip the First transaction's selection/initial screen , Not your Query selection screen.
