GE/Fanuc Series 90-30 Ethernet Driver?

Is there a LabVIEW driver available for GE/Fanuc Series 90-30 Ethernet PLCs
besides the NI IA Server? I have an application that requires the reading
of approximately 600 PLC registers and the IA Server is too slow. I think a
driver that performs array based reads instead of single reads would be a
lot faster. NI tells me that BridgeVIEW would be faster but my customer is
not ready to make that change just yet.

  • Ethernet Driver Not Installed and Yet It Is - Network useless

Device Manager reports the network port on my W500 (4063-3FU) suddenly lacks a driver (Code 28). This is odd since I had manually installed it myself during the upgrade to a 64 bit (Win7 x64 SP1) ... because even the recent SystemUpdate utils don't work very well (as evidenced by the many tips on the forum to manually install things in a certain order).
Multiple attempts to install Lenovo's latest network driver manually appeared to go smoothly, but Windows still says there's no driver. Astra32 calls it an Unknown device which may be odd, and the diagnostic tool "Lenovo Service Center" (LSC) is too vaue to be of use. I am adding screenshots .
So I let Device Manager and Windows Update try to get an updated driver, but it could never find a driver. Or it would get various errors (Red X marks that tell the user nothing useful).
Programs & Features shows what i think may be the entry (highlighted in blue) for the network/port/driver but it's vague. I've been reluctant to uninstall it just yet.
Does anyone know what I should do next? I need to get the network port going.

What about the blue-highlighted entry in the last graphic (from Programs & Features)... Might that be the LAN driver? How could I check?
When I go here for  the LAN driver
    http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-w-series-laptops/thinkpad-w500/4063/3fu
It says Ethernet driver (Intel PRO/1000 LAN adapter software) for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit), XP - ThinkPad is the driver for the W500.
The page on the network chipset is here:
    http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-w-series-laptops/thinkpad-w500/4063/3fu/downloads/DS019225
The network chip should be one of these: Intel® 82567LM Gigabit Network ConnectionIntel® 82567LF Gigabit Network Connection
Question is, how do I get the system to evaluate the network hardware? LSC is useless.

  • Intel wired ethernet driver stops working

We have this issue with several T400 and T500 series ThinkPads that the Intel ethernet driver stops working after a while. All this started to happen maybe a month ago. We have both 32- and 64-bit Windows 7 OSs.
Wired ethernet works ok first, but after a few hours or a day or two this yellow exclamation mark appears on the network icon and it says limited or no connectivity. Wired network stops working and there is nothing we can do to fix this other than reboot the computer. It doesn't even shut down properly, just says "Shutting down" forever and blinks the HDD led maybe once a second. So we have to force it and after booting everything is ok until the next time this happens.
When the network stops working, nothing can be done with the driver because everything just hangs. You cannot disable the connection or uninstall the adapter from Device Manager or anything. Unplugging the ethernet cable does not help either. There is nothing about this problem in the Event log other than about the symptoms of not having a network connection.
What could be the source of this problem? Do you have any ideas about how to diagnose this problem further? We have the newest driver and I have also tried the newest driver from Intel.

Go to Local Area Connection (Wired Intel adapter), Properties and the Configure button, in the Power Management Tab UNCHECK "Allow the Computer to turn off this device to save power".
Window7 does NOT always resolve IP and DHCP when it come out of sleep etc. All attempt to release/renew are in vain. I have seen this on various systems for some time. Occassionally a router reboot fixes it but most of the time is the PC. Frustrating but for Wired use this should always be disabled if you're using it a lot. Power savings is not in your best interest.
Let me know if that does it.

  • An alternative to the buggy e2200 Killer Ethernet Driver/Software (GE60)

After several crashes related to the bad Bigfoot Killer Ethernet software and driver, I decided to dig a little deeper.
Most people will be able to tell you that the "Killer Ethernet" is fairy pointless, I didn't buy the laptop for it at any rate.
It's worse than pointless when it causes system instability and crashes.
After a little research I determined that the "Qualcomm Atheros llama Ke2200 Series PCI-E Ethernet Controller" is actually a "Qualcomm Atheros AR813X/AR815X/816X Series PCI-E Ethernet Controller"
    Specifically it's a slightly modified AR8161 Gigabit Ethernet [1969:1091].
As such you can download newer, unmodified drivers from Atheros directly, just google for: atheros+download and visit the first link.
On the Atheros site under "AR816X Family Drivers" choose the "WIN_AR816X" option from the dropdown box.
However, the vendor and device ID won't match, so you'll need to do the following to install it.
Keep in mind that these are raw drivers, they're work perfectly, but include none of the fancy (useless) "Killer" software features.
    Lets get started!
Download the file above and extract it to a temporary location.
First, (because removing the killer Ethernet software is part of the goal here) you should go to control panel and uninstall the existing bigfoot killer Ethernet package from "Programs and Features".
    1) Head to control panel and open "Device Manager".
    2) Under "Network Adapters" right click on the e2200 Killer network card and choose "Update Driver Software".
    3) Click "Browse my computer for driver software".
    4) Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
    5) Click "Have Disk".
    6) Click "Browse"
    7) Find the folder you extracted and navigate to "AR813x_AR815x_AR816x_v2.1.0.15_WHQL\Common_Dri\Win8_64"
    8) Select "L1C63x64.inf" and click Open, then OK.
    9) From the list of drivers choose "Qualcomm Atheros 8161 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)"
    10) Choose "Yes".
    11) Now choose "Close".
In Control Panel your network card will now be called "Qualcomm Atheros 8161 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)"
You're now running the latest Atheros driver for your rebranded Atheros AR8161 Ethernet Card.

Please can someone help this is really annoying now...

    Ethernet : Not working
    Help!

    Hi
It seems that the Equium A100-147 belongs to the PSAABE.
Please be sure that you have used and installed the right LAN driver for this series!!!
I think the notebook uses the Intel Ekron-R(82562GZ) Chip.
If you want you can download the Lan (Ethernet) driver from the Intel page.
    This will works for sure!!!

  • How to Index a Lacie External Ethernet Drive

I cannot seem to get Spotlight to (a) recognize and (b) index a Lacie external Ethernet Drive I run.
Can anyone advise how I can get both, please?
    GWJ
    Melbourne, Australia

In contrast to the pre-Tiger "Find" command, Spotlight can't search networked drives. I recommend downloading Easyfind at http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/11706 and installing it. Easyfind isn't the very fastest utility but it performs thorough searches and fills this Spotlight design shortcoming well enough.

to solute out this we need to see output of lspci and lsmod (or the manufacture hex code from xp also work.)

its depend on the vendor id of the NIC.so put your lspci output after the installation of OEL5.4.In general OEL5.4 may give/detect the NIC by its own.

  • Moving to an external Ethernet Drive - Libraries and Photos are a mess - Cant Find Images

I am in the process of wanrting to consolidate my LR3 files to an 2TB external ethernet drive (connected via airport extreme).  First, are there any issue with using the networked drive.  I've heard that there may be.
Second, my libraries and photos are all over the place.  I cant seem to find the proper catalgues and sometimes files go missing or offline.  So, duringn this move to the new 2TB drive, I want to use this opportunity to find and move all the LR3 "stuff" i can and make the workflow better organized.
How can I simply do that???
    Thanks!

First, let me suggest that there are two issues here ... Storage (exactly where your photos and catalog file are located) and organization (how do you find/search for the photo(s) of interest. These are different issues.
    First ... storage:
You can move your photos and catalog file anywhere to meet your storage needs. You move the catalog file simply by moving it in Windows or Mac Finder to the internal HD (or any other non-network drive). Recommended: put the catalog file on your fastest hard disk. Recommended: move the previews (that are located in subfolders where the catalog is) along with the catalog file. Once moved, you open it by double-clicking on it.
You can move your photos anywhere you want them to be, including a network drive. Although I recommend you move them in Lightroom so as to not break the links, you can also move the folders outside of Lightroom and then reconnect (in the folder panel, right-click on a folder and select "Update Folder Location").
Now, you have your files whereever you want them to be. They are stored properly. It makes sense to consolidate your photos on a single drive if possible, and it makes sense to set things up for ease of backup (i.e. all photos in subfolders under a single parent folder) but other storage schemes are fine if they meet your needs.
    Next ... Organization
This is how you set things up so that you can find a specific photo(s) quickly. I strongly recommend that this be done in Lightroom, using keywords, metadata and collections. I strongly dis-recommend that you do this by moving this folder to that location or folder hierarchy to help you be able to find things. I strongly dis-recommend that you do this by renaming photos or folders. Leave them whereever they are (after you have met your storage needs above), and organize via keywords. Assign keywords and metadata religiously to your photos. Keywords give you much more organizational power than folders, because you can have many many keyworkds assigned to a photo, but a photo can be in only a single folder.
I strongly recommend consolidating things into a single catalog. This will enable you to search for any photo, because you have one catalog. If you have multiple catalogs, and catalog A is open, you cannot search for a photo in catalog B.
Once all of this is complete, your photos are where you want them (storage) on your networked drive, your catalog (singular, not plural) is on your fastest disk (storage) and your photos are completely well organized in Lightroom, enabling you to search for them quickly, using the Lightroom filter bar, the keyword panel, or smart collections.

  • Ethernet driver for HP p7-1414

I need the Ethernet driver for my pc for Win 7. I have found all drivers including the WiFi driver so I can connect to Internet. But when I plug in my student cable, it doesn't do anything. My pc still remains connect wirelessly. So I need that driver. It a HP p7-1414. Thanks.

    Hi:
Rather than hunting down all of the drivers individually, the easiest thing would have been to find a model with the same motherboard as yours which has Windows 7 drivers.
All of the W7 drivers from this slightly older model will work on yours.

  • Xp ethernet driver

Right I am new to Mac's and this forum so hello everyone.
My problem is with bootcamp and ive only found one forum entry on the net that points to this isuue so i hope you lot can help me.
I've got Mac OS X 10.6.7 and have decided i also need xp on a partition to run Solidworks for work. I went through the bootcamp setup wizard.
    1) set a partition of 80Gb using NTFS
    2) installed xp pro from my install cd and used my cd key.
3)it booted from that partition and went to the logon screen but is prompting me to activate my copy of xp, not a problem normally when i install to a pc. BUT i cannot connect to the internet as the ethernet drivers are not installed yet so i tried the telephone way but it will not show the ID for registering on the telephone as i have no ethernet driver!
Therefore i am stuck as i cannot access the normal desktop until i have activated and i cannot activate because i cannot load the drivers from the OS X cd. I tried in safe mode but it will not install the bootcamp exe or recognise any of the drivers.
Please help, someone else must have this problem.
Its a Macbook 2.16 dual core running mac os x 10.6.7 and xp pro sp2 on the partition with proper cd and key.
    Many thanks.

Are you now using Boot Camp 3.2 drivers, after installing off OS X DVD 3.0 and upgrading a couple times.
    http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp
Sometimes even with Apple drivers you still want/need to update audio, ethernet, graphics drivers yourself.
Then add what I think is the best AV -
    Microsoft Security Essentials
There are a number of people running SolidWorks I know from over the years here.

  • Add external ethernet drive to time capsule

    Hi!
Is possible to attach an external ethernet drive (Seagate or Western) to the timecapsule to expand storage space?
    Thanks!
    J

    Hey Bob,
Thanks for your response! I have no need to back up onto the 2nd drive through Time Machine.
Basically the 2nd drive is an offsite back up of an archive, so doesn't even need to be updated.
I was actually looking at purchasing a regular FW drive, but saw the ethernet drives are pretty cheap. The ethernet option will mean it is faster to upload my files, and if plugged into the Time Capsule I was thinking I could access the files remotely if need be. Would that work?
I just wasn't sure if the Time Capsule would immediately recognise the 2nd drive through the ethernet connection. Will there be much (network) tweaking? I'm not too savvy in that regard. I was hoping it would just plug and play like a FW drive, but visible on my network.
    Thanks!
    James

  • Can ethernet drives be backed up by Time Machine?

I'm interested in getting an ethernet drive to share files between computers. Can my Time Machine drive (attached via FW800) find the ethernet drive and backup its contents?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

Not unless the Ethernet drive appears in the TM preferences list of available devices. If it does see the Ethernet drive, then the drive can be backed up to your TM backup drive. Be sure your TM backup drive has adequate space. Your backup drive should be at least twice the capacity as the sum of the capacities of the drives it will back up.
