GE70 0ND : Network Controller

Hi, here is a description of my problem:
Laptop ID: GE70 0ND-224FR
Installed Win 7 instead of the given Win 8.
Installed all drivers from product page but the "Realtek Network Controller" driver could not be installed because:
"The Realtek Network Controler was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable."
BIOS version: E1756IMS.513
EC version: 1756EMS1 Ver5.04
Realtek Network Controller never appears in the device manager. The Bluetooth device appears in device manager only if i let the laptop turned off without the battery for some time.
I can't get any network connection (be it from cable or wifi) and Windows troubleshot says that there must be a problem with the driver (both the local network driver and wireless connection driver).
Side note: could not find the driver for the quick launch buttons of the laptop (no driver for ACPI\KB9XRADIOBTN)
Any help will be verry welcome!

Just a small funny note but i finally received a reply from MSI France support center...
Basically they are saying that they do not advise to downgrade to WIndows 7 (can it really be called a downgrade? ), that doing do generates problems they do not have solution for and that i'll just have to revert back to the original OS.

Bonjour,
Bien cordialement,

  • GE70 0ND win7 wireless problems... again.

    Hey there.
I'm the one of many who decided to perform a downgrade on a GE70 0ND laptop. However, I've encountered a problem with wi-fi not working at all. Firstly I couldn't even switch it on, but after flashing my EC to win7, S-bar is working properly (a blue indicator now lights when I press the wi-fi button), though I'm not able to find any wireless networks.
    My BIOS version is E1756IMS.514
    EC version is 1756EMS1 4.04
I downloaded the recent Intel n135 drivers, started the diagnostics, on the first step (hardware test) it says: "Wireless hardware is not bound to transport driver."
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

Try resetting EC: How to reset the EC (Embedded Controller)
If no help remove wireless driver in safemode using >>Driver Fusion<<. After reboot install latest driver.

  • Custom bios MSI GE70 0nd

    Hello.
    I use Win7. I have GE70-0ND and BIOS: e1756ims.10f
I need the bios which has two functions:
    1. Enable encrypt the HDD. Almost all laptops have this function but GE70-0ND has not.
    2. Control fan speed for CPU and GPU.
Svet: do you have such a bios ?

    1 nope
2 nope, this don't depend of BIOS. But if you want to change the FAN behavior to a different way can be done.

  • Thinkpad T43p (2668-G4G) Network Controller and Biometric Coprocessor issues on Win XP Pro install

    Hi all,
I am new the the forum but I guess its time time to recognise my defeat and send out a distress signal: Mayday Mayday Mayday...
    INTRO
My original HDD (Hitachi 7,200 rpm IDE) crashed a few days ago so I repaced it with a WD 160GB drive (5,400 rpm).  I always get a firmware message on start up and I could only partition 130GB (not the full 160GB).  This I have read from various forums is a common problem with the Thinkpads and that it wont really affect the performance of my T43p... any comments?
    THE REAL PROBLEM
I then restored the laptop with Win XP Pro and SP2+SP3 and all relevant updates (I have done this on numerous times and once before with this T43p without problems) and then setup all the Lenovo Drivers I could find pertaining to this model [2668-G4G]. I've got everything up and running EXCEPT the Wifi.  I've tried everything but just cant get it to work.  I used System Update, I tried downloading and installing in different order, I've removed the Access Connections etc. etc.  None of the Drivers on the Lenovo website seem to work for me.  I even tried using older versions of the Drivers, which I compiled on a CD last time I restored my T43p but even that doesn't work.  When I check the Device Manager there are always two yellow alert signes referring to Biometric Coprocessor and Network Controller.
Has anybody had these problems before and managed to resolve them?
The HDD issue is not as crucial I guess but if anybody has a solution to that I'd be greatful.

  • I need help, I tried everything! Network controller after installing windows 7 on a windows 8.1 machine!

    Hello everyone!
I have a Dell Inspiron 3521. It had Windows 8.1 on it and I installed Windows 7 Pro OEM 64 bit. I did delete the old windows file. I was able to install all the drivers from the Dell website, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the right driver for the "Network Controller". I tried Driver Identifier and it shows me two drivers missing: 1: BCM43142A0, 2: Network Controller.
Here are the hardware IDs for the NC:
    PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365&SUBSYS_00161028&REV_01
    PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365&SUBSYS_00161028
    PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365&CC_028000
    PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4365&CC_0280
I did find a post with someone having the same keys, but the driver in the link didn't help me. Maybe it's the way I installed the drivers? Or the way I installed windows 7 ?
    Please help!!!

The latest Dell Driver for the Dell Wireless 1704 Card is 6.30.223.228. You may also try the later Dell Wireless 1708 card 6.30.223.245 (both are Broadcom rebundled drivers) first directly and then through the device manger.

  • GE70-0ND Screen flashing black and gray

    Hey,
I bought a MSI GE70-0ND laptop almost 1 year ago. I have not had any problems with it until now.
I run Windows 8 on it.
Today when I logged in on my laptop the screen just immediately went black. Now it is flashing black and gray. When I move the mouse you can see the cursor moving on the screen. The special buttons such as fan boost works.
I tried connecting my laptop to another screen with a HDMI cable. The other screen showed the same flashing screen..
My laptop forced me to upgrade and install something yesterday. I think it was a windows update but I to be honest, don't know. I suspect that that update is causing this..
Any help will be appreciated. If you want additional information that I failed to provide above, let me know!
    Thanks,
    msikiuru

What happens if you do a CTRL+ALT+DELETE? Can you see the screen just fine?
Taking a video and posting it to youtube might also be very helpful, as this is the first time I've ever heard of this issue.
    Hi, thanks for answering.
The problem fixed itself after a while. I have no idea about why it did.
    CTRL+ALT+DEL did absolutely nothing.

  • Network controller is not recognized on Satellite A100 under Windows XP

    Hi all!
I have purchased a Satellite A100 PSAAR and I have performed a clean install of Windows XP on it. I have installed all the drivers in the correct order(downloaded them from the support page) but I still have one problem:
In the device manager the ethernet controller and the network controller show up with a yellow exclamation mark and they are not recognized. I downloaded the lan driver and I got it to recognize the ethernet controller. However no matter how hard I tried, I cannot find the suitable driver for the NETWORK CONTROLLER which still shows up in the device manager in yellow color.
I could really use any help here...Thank you in advance.

Please note that Wireless Lan card is placed under the Network adapters too!!!
If you have installed the LAN (Ethernet) driver and the card was installed you should also check if a WLan card driver is needed!!!!
    By the way:
If the LAN card was not recognized try this Intel Lan driver:
    Intel 8256x Ethernet Controllers

Hello again samyak.  You are very welcome!
The first device (the virtual adapter) is virtual network which allows you to use the computer as a "software router."  Unless you're using this PC as an Access Point this device is useless to you.  This article has more information on the service.  Your best bet is to just disable it.  Try the following.
Click Start, go to "All Programs," and select "Accessories."
Right click on "Command Prompt" and select "Run as Administrator."
Type the command "netsh wlan set hostednetwork [mode=disallow] and press Enter.  This should disable the virtual adapter.
Exit Command Prompt, reboot the computer, and verify that the device is no longer listed.
The device with the "ACPI/HPQ0004" ID actually returned two results.  The first was the Quick Launch Button software.  The other was related to Hard Drive Protection.  Try this driver.
Make sure to reboot after all of these instructions have been completed.  Then go back to Device Manager and verify whether everything looks as it should.
Continue to have a great day!
Please click the white star under my name to give me Kudos as a way to say "Thanks!"
Click the "Accept as Solution" button if I resolve your issue.

  • [Solved] Broadcom BCM43142 Network controller - can't get WiFi to work

    Hi all,
I'm new to Arch and I can't set up my WiFi to work properly.
Using Gnome 3 and NetworkManager, I installed  the recommended driver (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/broadcom-wl-dkms/) according to the instructions. That worked fine.
When I enable NetworkManager.service, the WiFi tries to connect. During this period it works for some seconds, but than it breaks. My Wired Connection only works when NetworkManager.service is disabled.
I even tried several ways from this and other Wikis, but none of them seem to work.
BTW, I tried Arch some weeks ago on the same machine and i got it to work, but I don't know how I did this anymore. Under ArchBang Live Media it works ootb.
I'm posting some outputs, don't know if they might be helpful  (all with NetworkManager.service disabled).

  • NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller problem

Hi, I am a new user of Solaris and Linux and I am having a problem with my internet connection under solaris.... i was reading other messages in the forum and apparently solaris doesn't detect my network adapter because when i run ifconfig -a it only shows lo0....
I went to nvidia.com but the drivers on their website are only for the graphics card... where can i get the requiered drivers (and how do i install them under solaris) for my internet connection to work???
i have a NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller and connect to the internet using road runner trough a router...
    thanks...

Hi, I am a new user of Solaris and Linux and and I am having a problem with my internet connection under solaris...<snip>

    Hi,
Same problem here Javisam376, but I am on an AMD x64 platform, and wondered if that might be the reason why the Solaris Express Developer Edition was unable to see the NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller, so I wonder which platform you're on (32 or 64-bits?) A general Google search for "Solaris NVIDIA nForce Networking problem" gave a fair number of hits, so the problem, seems well known, but no solutions were suggested by anybody, as far as I could see(!?)
But it seems the Linux community has the same problem, since I found this posting on LinuxQuestions.org (http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?t=471094):
"I just finished installing Red Hat 9 on my machine, which is running off of an AMD/NVIDIA nForce2 chipset mobo that has integrated ethernet. I was trying to set up my network connection, but was unable to locate the nvida ethernet controller in the Network app/Network Configuration Wizard. So I went on to nvidia's site and downloaded the x86 linux driver (using my other machine) and used a cd to pop it into the other comp... Saved it to the desktop,
    then terminaled: sh NFORCE-Linux-x86-1.0-0310-pkg1.run.
It took me through a setup screen where I 'installed a audio and ethernet driver'. I checked the Network wiz again, still no entry for it. So I randomly clicked the hardware browser, and IT lists the 'nForce2 Ethernet Controller' under network devices, but I can't configure it from this screen. Anyway, I would seriously appreciate any help with this. I need to get internet access on this machine quick, so this is drivin' me crazy."

  • Resource conflict- pci network controller in slot 09

    hi there!
im looking for help with this problem which ive had for teh last 3 months.
basically one day, when i turned my laptop on it didnt log straigh into windows, it came to a screen that said
'resource conflict - pci network controller in slot 09'
press f1 to resume , f2 to enter setup, f1 would take me to windows and f2 to bios.
after this my wireless card dint work, so i ended up buying an external one which i used. now i decided to format thinking it would help the situation, but no luck. ive looked around on the net asked alot of friends but no one seems to be able toi give me a solution. is there anybody who could tell me what to do?
    thanks
    lefteris

I have the same problem im my lap (ThinkPad R50e) and i perform the following steps to resolve
    F1 --> Config --> Network --> Disable --> F10
then repeat the same steps but enable network

  • Nvidia Networking Controller Drivers in Vista BootCamp ????

I have installed Vista 32bit in BootCamp 3 on my new 13" Macbook Pro, all seemed fine but for some reason, Vista does not recognise the Nvidia Networking Controller driver installed from the bootcamp drivers, it says it failed to load the driver when checked in Device Manager.
Also, I have problems which I think relate to the Broadcom Wireless driver too. Signal strength when running in Snow Leopard is full bars, no problems. But when booted into Windows the wireless signal strength is one bar and oh so poor.
I have to move within a couple of meters of the router to get a good signal.
What is wrong with these drivers ???? i thought Apple supported Vista ????
I have read elsewhere of people suffering at the hands of the poor Broadcom driver, is there any update from Apple for this, or does anyone know of a new version of the drivers from Broadcom at all that give better performance ???
Same with the Nvidia driver, anyone know what to do about that, Apparetnly you can't just go to Nvidia and download the Nforce from there as the Apple OEM drivers are different and I dont even know which Nforce version the laptop uses anyway.
Please Help - Going Insane - Grey - And VERY bald!!!

Anyone have any ideas about this at all ????
I have updated bootcamp to 3.1 now but nothings changed. I did switch on Afterburner, disabled low power consumption and also changed the driver to use b/g/n auto which has helped slightly but not dramatically. As I have said OSX runs full signal so I know theres no router signal issue.
