GE70 Win8 downgrade help

Hello, Don't know if I'm in the right place but I just got my GE70 20E and I want to install windows 7 on it, I have a authentic copy.
And I just don't want to make any mistakes. Could someone give me a guide on how I downgrade to win7 and have it setup properly after it? Just to be sure I downloaded all the things from the website Bios/drivers/firmware/utility
But do I need anything else?
Have a screenshot of everything installed atm.
I may be a noob but I don't want to ruin it before I get to use it properly :P

I haven´t touched the hardware of my NB ever since I got it. Only software e.g. drivers updating etc.
Well, I played the first 30 mins or so fine. When I ALT+TAB to look something up on browser and ALT+TAB back, it started lagging bad. few seconds after I got the Blue Screen :s
As I recall, the temp on CoreTemp said something like 68°C when Deus Ex was running. But I doubt that wouldn´t cause a Graphic card crash, would it?
Might it have something to do with the CPU or so? And what does the text on the screen exactly mean? "The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant"

[GE70 2OE] Downgrade to Windows 7 (or fix undetected device)

Hello,
I wanted to know if there was an easy and/or safe way to downgrade my Windows 8.1 laptop to Windows 7 (I have Home Premium). Checking the product page on MSI shows BIOS/Drivers/Firmware links for Win7 too. Do I need to install those? How? When?
The reason of my downgrade is that I bought a USB device that simply will not connect on my computer. I did extensive testing and found that it worked on my roommate's computer, who is running 7, and that the issue was most likely not hardware-related but indeed that my computer was unable to detect this one device, everything else working correctly. If you believe that downgrading will not fix this issue, any ideas what might do it?

IPhone 3G 4.2.1 Downgrade help

Hi please help me...
I recently updated my iPhone to 4.1 and accidentally updated the baseband, thus losing my unlock... I then had to resort to updating to 4.2.1 to update my BB to 6.15.00. I then decided that 4.2.1 was too slow for me and decided that I wanted to downgrade to 4.0, or if possible 3.x. I did shift+click restore in iTunes, but the bar restore bar on my phone stops at about 95% and will not move any longer.
Please help, I need the phone to go on a business trip and this is the only phone I have.

Yeah, try Google, but it may really be messed up. I would try to just return to iOS 4.2.1 but iTunes will return errors as it will run into issues with the updated baseband. If you got this far you either have some clue of what you are doing or just followed instructions for something you shouldn't have done. Just search google, not here.

I would not rely a hacked iPhone for business. Other than the issues you have sun into with upgrading and the baseband; hacking the iPhone can lead to vulnerabilities in the security of iOS. You are potentially letting hackers have free access to the information on your iPhone.

S580 downgrade help ! Lenovo support really exists ?

Hello, i have a s580 smartphone and i did the mistake of updating it from 4.3 to 4.4 and now everything is a mess. Lag, is unresponsive , bad touchscreen and the list can go on.
I was looking for a solution from lenovo support but it seems that nobody can help me to revert this phone to it's original state to android 4.3 as it was two months ago when i bought it.
If anybody can help me with a tutorial on how to downgrade and a stock rom 4.3 please , i will be grateful ! You can't really use the phone like that...

Download file, put it on external SD card. Reboot to rocovery. From recovery do factory reset and wipe cache. Next apply update from sd card. Thats All. I try latest update S580_S111_150713_ROW, but same bugs as in prev. version. retur back to 4.3.

HFM downgrade help

hi everyone,
we are having some issues with HFM 9.3.1 and some of the functionalities, that were working fine on HFM 9.2 seem to have problem with 9.3.1. Does anybody have some idea about downgrading from 9.3.1 to 9.2? what do i have to back up and how? in brief. Any help is appreciated.

Is it a production or Test System?
Are you bothered about your reports/Data? Or can you reload these in?
I have never seen anyone wind back from HFM 9.3.1 to 9.2 I do not know if much changed in the database Schema, but if you ran EPMA against your application in 9.3 its going to be harder to go back. Do you have valid backups of your databases and 9.2 BIPlus repositories (File and Database)?
Would you be happy to export your data from 9.3 and then load this into your old 9.2 application? or are you looking at migrating all your existing databases/repositories from 9.3 to 9.2? I do not think thats a supported thing to do :(.
Can you share with us what is not working correctly in 9.3.1 for example?

i really like its design, i know its more powerful for games, but it comes with 8 pounds more the battery and power brick we are talking around 10 pounds in a bag pack...
the ge70:
i prefer this because of the weight (only 6 pounds), its thinner, it a little cheaper but still powerful, looks nice on the exterior design.
i'm a play station gamer (have ps3 and ps4 at home) but i love playing league of legends and i would like to be able to prove some pc games (like the elder scroll online beta, the bf4 beta) and maybe even buy some pc games on steam.
so i would like to hear some veteran recommendation about what should i buy...

Ge70 win7 downgrade very slow!

Hello, i have a ge70 2oe which came with windows 8, and i downgraded to windows 7, (just flashing an iso to an USB and install it) bios is set to legacy but now when i use windows 7, its very slow, wont work properly, is there something i forgot to change while downgrading? anyone know a solution?

Firmware downgrade helped - for what it's worth

For quite some time now I experienced problems with my WDS Airport network at my home office (Airport Extreme base and Airport Express remote - NAT provided by OS X Server 10.3). My MacBook Pro would have problems staying connected to my Airport network. Kept on disconnecting, or showed that it was connected, but couldn't see any of the Airport base stations. Very strange.
I also noticed that it must have had something to do with my neighbors' wireless networks around me. It seemed that whenever a neighbor's wireless network came online it bumped me off.
Anyway, after experimenting with WEP, WAP and WAP2 encryptions, as well as with Open network settings only with access control list I gave up. My MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo simply couldn't stay connected.
So I started digging around a bit and I found posts that described similar issues for others with other computer models like Power Book G4, iMac, etc. Now, my Power Book G4 never had any issues staying connected to my Airport network (used to anyway).
I read in one of the posts that it may have something to do with the Airport Extreme (V5.7) and Express (V6.3) Firmware updates. So I decided to take the plunge backwards and downgrade my Airport Extreme/Express Firmwares to V6.1.1 for Express and V5.5.1 for Extreme.
The downgrade went ok. Initially I had no connection (I guess because my last setting used WAP2 which is not available for the older Firmwares, so the config file was not the right format), but after resetting my Airport Base Stations to WAP I had connection.
At night I put all of the computers on the Airport Network to sleep. In the morning I woke my Mac Book Pro from sleep only to discover that no Airport Network was available.
So I logged in to the Airports from the server and pretty much tried everything. Set it to WEP 40, WEP 128, back to WAP encryption.. nothing worked (non of the computers on the Airport Network were able to connect anymore). So I finally gave up and had to settle for an open network without encryption, only access control list and closed network, and guess what. It worked. All computers can once again connect to the Airport network, and no matter what goes on with my neighbors and their networks I can stay connected. Putting the Mac Book Pro to sleep, waking up.. connected. No more disconnects now for the last 24 hours. I know it's too soon to tell.
But it seems that there may be some sort of problem with the latest Airport Firmware upgrades. Downgrading must have destroyed something though, because now none of the encryptions are working anymore.
If anyone has any idea on what I could do to solve this issue, that would be appreciated. Should I try to hard reset both base stations? Maybe that would do the trick?
Also, could it be that I may have copied old files with the migration assistant that belong to the PowerPC Airport drivers? Maybe that is messing things up. Anyway, have no clue.
All in all, I am happy with my Airport network, but not being able to have encryption worries me a bit. Also the speed leaves room for improvement. I have never seen my Airport network go faster than 12 Mb/s (of a theoretical 54Mb/s ... wow).
Anyway.. just thought I would throw this out there and see if someone has anything to contribute.
Mac Book Pro C2D 17" Mac OS X (10.4.8) iPhone needs a cam in the front

I feel your pain. Started logging on this morning with our computers (once we got power back on from a broken pipe) and man is it a mess. My wifes MacBook Pro wont remember our ABES network, nor will it show up. If we select other from the drop down airport icon and manually type in the name and password it is fine until we shut it down or restart it.
Unfortunately, my daughters newer iBook G4 cant even find our network, however, it will find other networks floating around the neigborhood. Go figure!
My sons snow G3 iMac this morning is having the same problem as my daughters laptop.
Our G4 iMac has no problem at all getting on the network and/or remembering it and automatically connecting to it when restarted/shutdown.
My Toshiba M35 laptop cant find the network but will find others and connect to them.
My 2 Dell Inspiron 5100 (one with an internal and another with a Belkin PCMCIA wireless) both connected to the base stattion with no problems.
Now, isnt that weird or what? We have soft reset the AEBS several times as well as hard reset with the same results as above. Anybody have any ideas?

WRT54G v8.2 downgrading help

I want to downgrade my router to v3. It's new, so it doesn't have dd-wrt or other stuff. How can I do it?

You cannot downgrade the version of your router...You can only downgrade the firmware and it does not change the version...Your router will remain version 8.2 only...

[solved] sever jittering in games could a video driver downgrade help?

hello today i updated my system and it installed new graphics drivers {ib32-nvidia-utils 334.21-2 x86_64} and i think a new version of wine well after that i decieded to play a game {warframe , which runs on wine with steam} and immedately after the game would jitter like crazy i mean the game works but its very hard to play with the jittering so i was wondering would downgrading fix my issue because im almost certain the update is the culprit so what do you think and if i should downgrade how would do this. 10.4 Downgrading Help

I need to install Pro Tools on a Mac Mini, so I need to downgrade it from 10.5 to 10.4 because Pro Tools LE doesn't run on 10.5. When I run my installation disc (10.4.6) and try to run the installer, it tells me that it isn't compatible. When I go to the Startup Disc and try to select that disc, it does not see it as a startup drive. When I visited the developer site, it told me that I needed 10.4.5 or higher to run the Mac Mini, so my 10.4.6 disc should work fine.

There is no downgrade per se. You have to erase the HD and then install Tiger from scratch.
You most likely have to use the Leopard DVD to erase the HD; the Tiger CD is probably not recognized as a bootable system.
Why not install Tiger on a separate bootable HD as many have and run Pro Tools on the external drive? That way you don't have to kill the Leopard and when DigiDesign gets their act together, you can install it on the Leopard platform.
I have a bootable clone of Tiger on my external HD, It was my backup when I installed Leopard. It still boots and runs fine. Dual-booting is a better way than to toss out a perfectly good OS.

Hello, when i brought my GE70, Bluestacks, a program to play android apps and games on your PC came preinstalled, the program quite quickly got corrupted as usual since its pretty buggy but the only app player that allows most android games on pc.
Tried to find a windows 8 version of bluestacks on the internet but to no vain, they all crash on install screen, any chance anyone knows anything about my problem?
I tried removing all registry keys, many different versions of the program, since i uninstalled it, i have no clue what version it was, if anyone got a ge70 with bluestacks still installed, please do tell the version.

MSI GE70 2OE Touchpad help!!

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and I don't believe I've found a solution to my particular problem. I have the MSI GE70 2OE Laptop and I had bought the Logitech G700s external mouse and so when I'm trying to Fn+F3 the touchpad mouse doesn't turn off. I've tried disabling it in the device manager but that did not solve the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? Sorry if this is a repost or if it's already been solved.

Have you tried using the touchpad settings in the driver? There should be a setting to turn the touchpad off when an external mouse is installed.

GE70 Win8 BIOS update

I've bought GE70 without system pre-installed and I installed my own Windows 7 x64 and now I upgraded to Windows 8 x64.
My question is:
Can I flash my BIOS with the msi provided one in download section? Because the note says: "For Windows 8 systems use only"
And version should I use?
512 or 10E ?

Can anyone tell me where I can download an older version of iTunes? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks a lot.

You current library will not work with an earlier version of iTunes.
You can re build your library from your xml library file using the method here:

Or you can look for a back up library in the previous iTunes libraries folder. These backups are made when you upgrade, and the name includes the date.
