Geforce 2 pro voltage requirement

I have an old GeForce 2 pro, 8831, card and I would like to know if this is a 3.3v or a 2.5v or a 1.5v card.
Thanks for the help.

Deathstalker, I didn’t know that, but that’s why I joined this forum, to learn
all that I can, how are they backward compatible and forward compatible?
Does the MB and or video card sense the different voltages and apply what’s
need ?
Why does my MB manual says “1 x AGP pro / 8x  (1.5v only), and the manual
for the GeForce 2 pro says, Note: “AGP bus VDDQ Voltage and AGP bus
3.3 Voltage should be supplied steadily by your motherboard, otherwise,
your system will crash.”
Thanks for explaining this,  H2O Guru

  • Video capture driver for MSI GeForce 2 Pro video card

    Hi,
I am in need of the nVidia WDM video capture driver for my Geforce 2 Pro video card. Model #M-8831. I was able to download it from the MSI/TW website over a year ago just fine. My computer crashed from a game bug a couple of months ago and MSI/TW does not list the capture driver I need any longer. I did email the company asking for help with no response back yet (after 2 weeks). You people may be my last hope.
I do have the cd that came with the video card, but I've never been able to install the capture driver from it. There is a button to install it, but it never gets loaded. I've tried browsing the cd and also tried installing it using the windows wizards with zero results. My only successful install was from the MSI home website.
If you need more information, please let me know.

  • What can replace my GeForce 2Ti Pro-VT?

I have a GeForce 2Ti Pro-VT (MS-8836), and am looking for a replacement as I'm giving this card to my dad. Is there a similar MSI card (with video IN/OUT) available? I've tried to find one in the MSI product list, but only the top end cards have video in. I really like this card - it's been good value.
I'm not really looking for a big improvement in performance. Just a cheap replacement.

The cards with "VTD" have video in
It's available on FX5200 and 5600 models at pretty affordable prices.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro System Requirements

    Good morning,
For the online Adobe Premiere Pro System Requirements:
The Windows "Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014) system requirements" are listed as "Microsoft Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 (64 bit) or Windows 8 (64 bit)" and the Windows "Adobe Premiere Pro CC system requirements" are listed as "Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1". (Bolded emphasis added.) (Reviewed at System requirements | Adobe Premiere Pro on 12/28/2014.)
Assuming that all Windows requirements are to be "(64 bit)" for both Adobe Premiere Pro CC and CC (2014), then why is "Windows 8.1", that is a requirement for Adobe Premiere Pro CC, excluded from the requirements for Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014), which is the latest version of Premiere Pro?
My point is:  in a RAID'ed solid-state disk (SSD) structure, some of the workflow for maintaining a work station is different between Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. Unless this omission is an editorial inconsistency, not having Windows 8.1 as a system requirement for Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014) implies that Windows 7 is the better option for supporting Adobe Premiere Pro and for helping to maintain the hardware implementing it.
For the supporting the best SSD RAID workflow for Adobe Premiere Pro, please let me know if, indeed, that not including Windows 8.1 in the system requirements for Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014) is an oversight.
    Thank you.

    An oversight? Yes probably.
Adobe's "System Requirements" page for Adobe Premiere Pro has been a joke for a long time so far as helping the user is concerned. Check out www.ppbm7.com if you really want to learn the true system requirements to use Adobe's software.
The current Premiere Pro CC (2014) system requirements list includes:
    - Intel Core2 Duo... - wow, really, this is the requirement for 2014! Seems to me this would not support present day media and workflows very well at all.
    - "... or faster hard drive" (no mention whatsoever about SSDs). I have a system with SSDs (no hard drives) and it runs Premiere Pro just fine with no hard drives at all.
    - Internet connection and registration... Yes, it does seem that Adobe keeps the legal and other "fine print" portions of the system requirements page up to date.
Regarding Win 8.1, I've had some issues with installing some legacy software that I've used for years (and which run using Win 7 64-bit), however all the Adobe CC (2014) applications that I've tried seem to work just fine on my system (with Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit).

  • Voltage requirement for late 2008 17" MacBook Pro

I bought a used 17" MacBook Pro - vintage late 2008 and have been having power issues with it.  Screen flashing, system crash.  Streaming video online, system crash.
Took the battery out and held down the power button for about 30 seconds to discharge the battery, after which things are OK for a while.  But then it started up again.  So I took the battery out and did it all again.
I'm wondering if the power adapter that came with the machine is for the wrong voltage?  I see that there are three different voltage levels available.
Can anyone tell me what is the correct adapter voltage for my machine?
    Thanks!!
    Judith

Bring you MBP and power adapter to an Apple store.  If you need a new one, it will cost $79.

  • External monitor damage due to Macbook Pro voltage spike?

I had my Macbook Pro connected to a Panasonic 62" Panasonic LCD TV and the Panasonic suddenly went black and has not come back.  I've driven the Panasonic many times with the same Macbook Pro before and there were no problems.  My friend says my Macbook Pro must have had a voltage spike that blew out the Panasonic.  Is this possible?  And if so how do I get it checked out?
Also, there is a smaller external LCD monitor that I've driven with my Macbook Pro that projected fine.  But when connected the trackpad on my Macbook Pro became erratic/unresponsive.  The same friend who's TV I may have nuked says this problem is also due to my Macbook Pro having voltage spikes...
Anybody know what may be going on here?

I think your friend is trying to get you to buy him a new TV. The TV going out and the computer being connected to it were likely coincidental. If Macbook Pros were destroying external monitors as your friend suggests then there would be more reports and outraged customers. Yours is the first post I've seen suggesting that a TV was destroyed because of a Macbook Pro.

  • Pro Camera requires password entry on lock screen

Of course, as soon as it was available on my Lumia 925, I set the Nokia Pro Camera as the default app to launch when the camera button is pressed. I noticed though, that when the phone is locked, the Pro Camera app won't launch unless I enter the lock screen password. The default camera app did not require this, instead allowing you to take new pictures. Having to enter the password can be a spontaneity killer when the right shot presents itself.
Is this a 'feature' of Pro Camera, or is there some setting where I can change this behavior? If it is indeed a 'feature', please consider allowing access to the app without having to enter the lock screen password, just like the default camera app does.
    Thank you,
    LumiaJohn

    Hi,
Unfortunately, there is no way to change this behaviour as of now. This is very frustrating and limits the startup time of ProCamera app, which can lead to some precious moments from getting missed!
I think this is a limitation of Windows Phone OS.
    Best Regards,

  • Does Premier Pro CS4 require a 64 bit OS for installation?

Before purchasing Premier Pro CS4, would like to know if 64 bit OS is required for installation. Currentlly on XP SP3, 32 bit. Have purchased CS5 and CS6 but can't use Pro on that OS.

Part of the purchase of CS5 includes a version of CS4 for those who don't have a 64-bit OS.  Check your downloads or discs for CS4.

  • Installed Acrobat Pro 9 - requires password to open any PDF & botches InDesign exports to PDF

Installed CS4 on my new Mac, using the downloaded installation file. Everything works except Acrobat. I uninstalled Acrobat & reinstalled it. Same problems remain:
1a. Everytime I open a PDF, I get this message:  "Adobe Acrobat Pro wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this." I have to enter the username & password for my computer to open every PDF. Then they open correctly.
1b. If I open Acrobat from the Applications folder, without opening a file, I get the same message & must enter username & password to open Acrobat.
    2. From InDesign, I export PDFs using File > Export. The PDFs have little rectangles for about half the text in the entire document. I routinely export both hi-res (Print Quality) and lo-res (Smallest File Size) PDFs in InDesign & this happens with all of them.
Most of the work I do results in PDFs. None of them have password protection or other security. I don't see anything in Preferences that looks like it would relate to these issues. Help, please!

Go the the Applications -> Utilities folder. In there you will find the Disk Utility app. When you run that application, you can select your hard drive. Then click on the Fix Permssions button.

  • Adobe pro 9 requires mac admin password

I just restored my macbook air and reinstalled my adobe pro 9 software, but now I have to enter my admin password before I can open any pdf file.  How can I turn off this security feature?

This sounds like something needs to be repaired with the installation. I’d recommend uninstalling and then re-installing and updating to the most current version of Acrobat 9.

  • In order to tether a Nikon D7100 into Lightroom is Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 required

I have a Nikon D7100 and I have Lightoom 5.  Will Lightroom recognize the D7100 without needing to have Nikon Camera Control Pro 2?  If the D7100 is not yet recognized by Lightroom will the Nikon software allow for tethering into Lightoom?  when might Adobe add the D7100 to recognized cameras"

    No.
The D7100 is not supported for tethering in Lr.

  • 2nd Optical-Drive for Early 2008 Mac Pro: Suggestions Required

I am hoping to add a second optical-drive to my Early 2008 Mac Pro.  I notice that there are various SATA ones available for Early 2009 Mac Pro's onwards (e.g. the LG GH24NS90) but according to OWC (Other World Computing) these ones are apparently unsuitable for earlier Mac Pro's.
The current optical-drive in my Mac Pro is a Sony AD-7170A.
Can anyone suggest a suitable optical-drive that is still available as new (preferably available in the UK).
    Thanks,
    Yan Lee

The SATA optical drives will work fine in a 2008 Mac Pro. I just installed this model:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136259
I already have a Blu-Ray SATA drive in my other tray, so I've done this a couple of times now.
You have to run a SATA data cable through to one of the two ports on the motherboard - it involves removing the first two drive trays and the front fan. The cable goes up behind the top left corner of the compartment, together with the black cables feeding the optical ATA connectors. You CAN use an L-shaped (90 or 270 degree) SATA cable, but I've found that a regular straight cable works OK too - it is a tight fit behind the fan, but it should fit. The trouble with the L-shape is that it blocks the other SATA port. You can also look for low-profile SATA cables, which have slightly smaller heads.
You'll also need a molex-to-SATA power adaptor. Don't forget to remove the front bezel from the drive - I do this by attaching everything to power, don't slide the optical enclosure back into the space yet, power up the computer, eject the drive using its eject button, and then slide the bezel up and off. You can then slide the enclosure into the space. Turn the computer off to put the fan and drives back in.

  • Adobe Premier Pro & Avid - Require onsite technician and advice

    Hello,
    The issue is as follow:
1- A group of 7 to 8 editors are engaged in production of  one hour news and reviews of the daily events.
2- All are have their own PC with Premier Pro CC soft ware. and with 10 GH band with  connected to a server called Blue Spark.
    3. These editors were working for 10 years with Avid in a group and used the same time line and could work simultaneously of the same time line of a project which was created in server that Avids were connected to it.
    4. we cannot now use the same pattern as we did with Avid. So we need support for :
    a) new configuration of the server
    b) possibility necessary other software needed so at the same time any of the editors can use the same time line of the project created in the server.
this is very important issue and time effective.
    5. we need some technician to come on our sight at check the setup, test the system to make sure it does not freeze, it does not create problem  when we have to go on air , there will be no off line and so on.
    6. there is obviously one way we can work that is individually make production and then render and then export but this is not what we want to do their must be a way for group working with Premier Pro CC  + server just like Avid
I hope I have been able to convey the massage may be not in technical languages but  our objective is clear and current problem is also clear

    Hi
You have not posted on the site you think it is........This is A USER TO USER forum, with little staff posting.
If I understand CC then your predicament can best be described as screwed.
I do not believe that CC will do what you want it to do.
CC ie Creative Cloud is a marketing term.
With luck staff will see your post and as you to ring them, good luck with your call to India.
