[GeForce 6] Query abt compatibility (NX6800GT-TD256 )

Hi,
I wanted to go for NX6800GT-TD256 (or NX6800 Ultra-T2D256) but the problem is that my mobo ( which is Gigabyte 7VKMP)
supports AGP 4x only and I don't want to upgrade my mobo currently, so I wanted to ask will this MSI card work on my mobo ( as I know its AGP 8x)
Pls help.

I posted this query in another public forum, and somebody told me that he also tried to use 8x card(didn't specified name) in 4x slot but it didn't worked. He told me to refer to motherboard manual and the card docs which I m going for... told me to check for some voltage issues .

NX6800GT TD256 problems

hello. I purchase/bought a MSI NX6800GT TD256 and I noticed that this VGA card was made with production problems, and my 6800GT is with this problems... unfortunatelly (blue dots and my computer never initializate) - my power supply is a seventeam 400w and i was tested my card in 3 computers (same problems)
I entered in several forum and all say the same thing, MSI manufactured a wrong VGA card model during some time, with the cooler BBN (of plastic) and later modified the model placing a cooler called Cooper Ultra.
In the image, my model is the first picture and the correct model is the second.
but in the second image, besides in the site of MSI, it shows up the correct model, that is different from mine.
How should I proceed to change the model?

It seems that since the introduction of the PCI-e version of the 6800 series... they have also started using the black-reference cooler...

Very true... But bulk software are often down clocked to get a cheaper price (my friend had one).

Problem with NX6800GT TD256 AGP

Could anyone help me? I plugged the MSI NX6800GT TD256 AGP 8x and in the card's information it says Bus : PCIx0. I have installed the latest drivers but the problem remains.My system is: AMD A64 3400, ASUS K8N nForce3, 512 DDR

When I choose platform/nforce which driver have I to download? (Audio driver package, unigied driver or NVIDIA ntune?) I don't know much about computers and sorry for my english, I am from Greece.

[GeForce 6] NX6800GT-TD256 Freezes with "snow", nv4_disp.dll loops

I have had this card running successfully for a while now and I was surprised when it suddenly stopped working. After a very short time (particularly in games, but just as often on the desktop) the display locks up with a fine spray of snow over the screen. A few times the system goes to a blue screen saying that nv4_disp.dll is caught in an infinite loop. From what I have seen on my searches on the forums, this seems to be an overheating related problem, except that the card is stone cold to the touch (the control panel displays 72 degrees just before the crash, but that is inflated slightly apparently).
I have tried a number of approaches, including installing the 71.84 reference drivers and downclocking the card (a lot). Disabling fast writes and AGP 4 doesn't seem to help either. Nothing that I have tried seems to work, although running the card at a lower resolution (1024x768 instead of 1280x1024) seems to increase the amount of time that I get to use my computer (from about 40-100 seconds to about 5 minutes).
I have filled out an RMA form, but I don't know where to look to find the serial number, I have a fair number of options:
- The large barcode (and on the box): 4 719072009076 and 912-8966-0050410900162 (The number on the box is the same, although 912-8966-005 is repeated).
- Near the DVI and VGA plugs: 4A920100070053ZZ
- On the opposite end there are three numbers: 0064104001972, 900-10201-0007-250 E, and 600-10201-0007-210 Z.
The RMA site doesn't include this information, it only includes information on how to find the serial number on a motherboard.
Any help would be appreciated, I'll fill the RMA with all the numbers if I have to.

We've been plagued by similar problems lately, and it seems the nVidia drivers may be causing problems.
We have been using a Jaton Video118PCI-64DDRTV (or variations - basically a GeForce 4/MX440 GPU) for a few years now in our systems. Just lately we have had problems with systems freezing, or with nv4disp.dll errors etc. One fault mode is the left side of the screen is "fuzzy", while the right hand side has vertical lines on it.
Anyway, after experimenting with various drivers, including the original Jaton 2.1.8.1, the Jaton 4.x.x.x drivers currently supplied with the cards, and the fairly recent nVidia 71.84 drivers (all of which fail with at least one hardware combination), we downloaded the latest drivers from the Jaton website. These are also V71.84, but have presumably been adapted from the nVidia drivers by Jaton to suit their exact hardware configuration. So far, the Jaton drivers seem to fix the problem (but we're still testing...).
One suggested cause is that somehow the nVidia drivers are causing the GPU or other components to overheat, causing memory errors and freezing. Some of the pictures posted by emptyweevil and others suggest graphics memory errors to me.
Anyway, it might be worth trying the MSI website for better drivers, or even rolling back to the ones provided with the card.
It seems that Windoze has an appalingly rude habit of deciding that it will update drivers without notice. Unfortunately, newer ain't always better. {Anyone know how to turn this "feature" off?} So maybe the old drivers will solve the problem.
Anyway, I thought I'd share our experiences, in case it helps someone else.

Fan problem with NX6800GT TD256

The NX6800GT has a sliding fan controller to adjust the fan speeds. When I try to turn the fan all the way down, there is a really annoying high pitched whine. It goes away when I turn the fan up, but then it is too load. Is this whine normal and does anyone else get it?

I do not think this is normal.

my query is on outbound interface, i have already an idoc which has data i have to retrieve it from z_tp_idocread function module.and i have to map the fields with idoc fields those idoc fields i can find from zrmd_a07 for custom fields and hrmd_a07 for normal fields.so i have to map in the format of header trailer and body and i have to send it ti flat file
through outbound interface.

Basic query abt business logic

i need to have a website which will search from a database and display results is it advisable to have my business logic (i.e database query)in servlet only since it is a small aplication or i should have a different file for business logic?
I am very new to this technologies no do not have much knowledge.
i am thinking to use jsp for display since it automatically handles sessions.

Query abt Reports

I am working on two reports in one client wants to see all those orders and order items against which delivery status is ""A or B". Can anyone please tell me how to do that?
Second is they want to see sales order for one customer by various order types..like sales order, return order, credit order and debit order. Can anyone please help me how to do this scenarios and deliver the results.

For your 1st requirement, you can filter the Order Item and restrict it by A and B and
For your 2nd requirement, create a variable on the characteristic Order Type (Sales Order Type) and drag this characteristic in the Free characteristic or Filter. When you execute the query it will ask you give order type, you can create this variable as a selection option, multiple or intervals.
Infact you can use this method for your 1st option as well, you can create a variable for delivery status where you can give values like 'A' or 'B'.
I hope this will resolve your issue.

when I use

It works for ie but not for mozilla
for mozilla
setAttribute("width","191px"); works
I do not want to check navigator.appName to check browser type and then use
setAttribute('width',500); or setAttribute("width","191px");

Geforce 2 Mx400 has compatibility with AGP 8x?

I have a MSI Geforce 2 MX400 T64CS model MS-8826 Ver: 2.6
Can anyone tell me with it is a 1.5 volts card? With this card has compability with AGP 4x.
I search in the manual and the card but I didn´t find the voltage.

I think you may find some 8x AGP cards will ONLY work in an 8x AGP slot and are not backwards compatible....
Can you name any examples? Seems stupid for manufactuers to cut out part of their product target audience.

The MSI NX6800GT are this still reference boards of
Nvidia or that have been already updated by MSI themselves?

I think the only card that MSI has updated is the NX6800 (non ultra or GT).

[GeForce 6] problems overclocking my NX6800GT with newer nvidia drivers

Hiya guys,
JUst wondering if anyone else is having issues oc,ing there 6800gt with the newer nvidia drivers?any driver newer than the 71.25 version causes freezes and corruption and does not matter what speed its at even does it at 360 1050 but at default 350 1000 everything is fine.
BUt oc,ing with the msi 71.25 and below drivers it runs without error at 400 1100 temps are at 52c load 45idle,
Have installed fresh winXP pro,thought it may have been a power problem so i ripped out my 420w thermaltake psu and replaced it with a nice new Enermax noisetaker 485w psu with dual 12v:18a rails still no go,have tried every driver availible only drivers 71.25 and below will oc,all driver up to 76.50 will not,also have tried coolbits,rivatuner,powerstrip etc..and still no go.
Has anyone come accross this?? feel free to share.....

wow - this is my story also... I have been up and down the street with my MSI 6800GTs (in SLi) and they do not OC worth a damn... I am pretty bummed out due to the money, time, blood, sweat, and tears I have shovled into this rig and I only get stock... essentially... I have tried all the OC'ing utilities, different power supplies, volt modding... and I think it's got to be some bios setting or maybe the one piece GPU memory cooler design... the GPU and memory both heating this thing... I don't think it works that well... honestly... I have been around the net, on many forums... and the only peeps who have /any/ luck with OC'ing these MSI 6800GTs are water cooled... anyways... I have spent soooo much time on this and for that reason alone I doubt I will be buying MSI products in the future, but I would still like to find a solution which allows me to push my $900 worth of video cards to ultra speeds. I am really considering going with water cooling... but I really don't want to deal with the hassles of it right now... what I would really like to find or buy are some 6800 Ultras reference design coolers to install on my GTs... I think a lot of this inabillty to OC well is heat related... I know I can get 10mhz more out of my cards when my room is cool.... I have a LOT of air on these cards... and good ventilation... I have my system stats in another post on this forum entitled "nx6800GT OC issues in SLi" or something like that. Good luck man, and I will let you know if I find a solution for this.

TV-Out and analogue issues with NX6800GT TD256

Hi,
I bought this card about two months ago and am having issues with it...
Firstly, on Sunday the analogue output for the monitor stopped working correctly. All of the pictures coming through had this kind of green overlay (so the text even in bios boot that would ordinarily be white looked kinda green). I tested with another monitor, it was the same. I tried putting it on DVI, and it worked properly.
Now, I want to use TV-Out, but when I connect the TV-Out to the card while I have DVI plugged in, I can't get the TV to display at the same time as the monitor is plugged into the DVI connector (it works when plugged into the HD-15, though again, looks green).
Anyone have any suggestions for what I should do? Can the card display both tv-out and DVI at the same time?

All swf's embed in aspx page. All under 1 solution.
I'm having enable full screen option in loginpage. If I
select this,
All 2 swf's also in full screen mode, Unless I uncheck the
full screen option.
I wrote the full screen function in login page only, How to
pass to another fla's?
I used SendAndLoad
i.e Lobby_lv.load("url"+"?"+fullscreen, "_self", "POST");
In PathURL I have mentioned the Lobby page. If the fullscreen
option is true means, lobby.fla gets the value and enable the full
screen function. But I'm not getting the value in the lobby.fla
How to solve this?

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to do. The LoadVars
class, is not for
loading swf files, it is for sending and loading data to/from
a server-side
script. If you want to load a movie, then the MovieClipLoader
class is your
best bet - in AS2 anyway.
