General differences - Bold and Curve

What are the basic differences and capabilities of all series of bold and curve? I've looked through their basic features, and obviously they each have blackberry standard applications. It looks like the curve may be more for multimedia and social. If so, what is the bold better for?

The main differences are in the hardware.
The curve is an entry level device wheras the Bold is a higher end (and more expensive) device

My BB has a micro sb card, that holds all my photos and video. I took it to the local drugstore, they have an adaptor that makes the micro larger to fit into their photo developer. I downloaded all the stuff I had saved onto a disc, then put the disc into my pc to download to the computer. If you have a USB cable, you can pull it straight from phone into your computer without the middleman. I do not have the USB, so had to take the long way to do it ! Good luck !!

Fontweight -Difference between Bold and DemiBold

Hi,
I am using Forms 10g R2, and I have a form with two items.
One item's Font weight property is set to 'BOLD' and another's is set to 'DEMIBOLD'. Both items font property is Arial.
But in runtime, both the items are looking same. there is no difference in the font weight.
Is the Java environment supports DEMIBOLD property?

It is not a question of whether the Java environment supports DEMIBOLD, but whether a given font supports it. This is entirely at the discretion of the font's designer. The Property Palette in Forms Builder appears to be unaware of the selected font, and presents all possible weights in the Font Weight dropdown, regardless of whether/not they are actually supported by that font.

PDFExport fonts. How they are detected, difference between bold and italic.

i am experiencing issues with PDFExport mainly because i don't understand how the engine detects fonts in the original document.
First i will explain my issue:
PDFExport is used on linux machine environment.
Copyright reasons prevents me from using windows fonts for PDFExport. I downloaded some open source fonts, most of time they are working fine. the issues that i have are with the variations the fonts. italicized and bold.
Lets take an example of a .doc file. the file contains Hebrew characters some of them are bolded some italicized and some are regular. the font that .doc used is a windows font called David.
When i use PDFExport with the original David fonts everything works fine and converted correctly to PDF. Since i cannot use windows fonts i resorted to using the Open Source fonts, they too have similar in style to David. they have bold version, italicized version and regular version.
When i use the open source fonts the detection of the font is incorrect. the entire document becomes italic. when i remove the italic version of the font everything is bold. and when i remove the bold version everything becomes regular. -- i am missing the bold and italic styles when they are used in the document.
(note that the original document can use any font it wants not restricted to the Copyright issue)
if i understood how the detection worked, i could modified the open source fonts that i have so that it will detect correctly all the different style (bold and italicized ) correctly.
my first question:
How can i use the Open source fonts and also not lose the bold and italicized styles?
my second question:
2. Is there a way to recieve via the API which fonts the engine looked for and didn't find? it can help me to better understand which fonts i need. and may be look for them and bring them manually.
sometimes even when i used the entire windows fonts folder still the fonts where missing or incorrect. (in the resulted converted PDF 'squares' instead of characters). an API like this may help me look for the missing fonts.
my third question:
is there a general guide or Standard which fonts to use. i wish to use the minimum number of fonts which will get the job done. i.e characters will be visible and not squares, styles (bold and italicized) should not be lost.
my forth question:
How do the engine choose which font to use?

Difference between General remote cube and virtual infoprovide with service

I could not understand the difference between general remote cube and virtual infoprovider technically. And I could not find the document about how to set general remote cube.

Problem copying centents from bold to curve please help

Hi, hope you can help me. I am trying to transfer all my info from my old blackberry to my new one. The old phone was broken so the shop has taken it, but I was able to do a backup before. The BB desktop is saying that I have to connect my old device, which I don't have anymore and copy the info over. Is there anyway I can do this not have my old phone.

General ledger view and entry view

Can any one help me in understanding the difference between GL(general ledger) view and entry view?

While entry view shows the Customer/ Vendor and other revenue/ Expence GLs
General ledger view shows the Reconciallation GL and revenue/ Expence GLs. We cannot find Customer and Vendor details here.

You can right click the tab and choose "Close Tab" to close a tab.
Some menu entries are hidden by default and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu.
You can see the difference if you use Alt+F or Alt+B to open the "File" and "Bookmarks" menu and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by pressing Alt or by pressing F10.
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.

If you need to implement any of these User exits, you first create a project for the user exit, then assign the user exit(s) to your project. Then you write the coding for the user exit, and finally activate the project.
For general information about user exits, in the R/3 Library, go to Basis components and look at the Enhancements section. In addition there is detailed information about each user exit that you can access when you assign it to your project (see below).
Activities
Start by creating your project.
1. Enter a name for your project.
2. Select Modification -> Create.
3. Enter a short text for your project and select save.
Next assign the user exit to your project.
4. Select Components.
5. Enter the name(s) of the user exits you want to implement.
6. Select SAP documentation, if you want detailed information on this user exit.
7. Select save.
8. Select back.
Next make your coding modifications.
9. Select enhancement components.
10. Select change.
11. Select the user exit you want to write code for.
12. Select the include zxpbco01.
The system will then prompt you to create this include, and you can continue to write your coding in it.
Next activate your project.
13. Return to the initial screen and select activate project.
Routines
Routines are short sub-programs that carry out various checks during document processing. In the SD module, you can create and process routines for copying requirements, data transfer, requirements and formulas using transaction VOFM. Besides the routines delivered to you with the system, you can create your own individual routines.
Transaction VOFM allows you to follow a standardized procedure for creating routines. The name ranges are predefined for routines delivered to you with the system and for routines created by the customer. This name convention guarantees that your own routines are not overwritten during a Release upgrade.
Copying requirements and data transfer
The routines for coying requirements and data transfer are defined for the document types sales orders, deliveries, billing documents, sales activities, as well as for texts. You specify copying requirements and the data transfers when defining the document flow for each document type. You enter the routines for texts in the access sequences for texts.
o Copying requirements determine which data is copied during the copying of documents. A copying requirement could define, for example, that the same customer must appear in the document header when you copy an inquiry to a quotation.
o Routines for data transfer make a detailed control of the copying of fields possible. A data transfer could define, for example, that particular item fields can only be copied in combination with other particular fields and can only be copied into contracts or credit and debit memos.
Requirements and formulas
Routines for requirements and formulas are used for functions using the condition technique. You enter these routines in the pricing procedure or the condition types. Requirements are also used for statistics.
o A requirement in pricing can determine that an access is dependent on a particular precondition. It can carry out a check of the document currency, for example, and, depending on whether it is a foreign or the local currency, allow or deny the access.
o Formulas are used in pricing to define various factors for pricing. Formulas are defined for scale base value, condition base value, condition amount, group key, and rounding rules. The formula for a rounding rule could define, for example, that all calculated amounts are rounded to two places behind the decimal point during a price change of the condition record. The formula for a condition base value could define, that the header discount is distributed among the order items according to volume an not value of the item, as is the case in the standard SAP R/3 System.
Creating routines
There are two methods to create a routine
1. Creating by overwriting
When using this method, a note appears as a commentary in the routine to be newly created.
2. Creating
When creating a new routine, an ABAP with internal number assignment is created.
You always have to activate a new routine before using it. Each routine for requirements and formulas, copying requirements and data transfers is stored in a separate program. For each new routine an entry is added in table TFRM and TFRMT. For each routine, a long text can be stored as a text module.
Most routines must be changed in client 000. Transaction VOFM can be transported as XPRAs, which means that after the import all routines can be activated.
Name ranges for routines
The standard routines are to be within the number range 001-599 (for 2 digit formula numbers, 01-49)
The user routines are to be within the number range 600-999 (for 2 digit formula numbers, 50-99).

Display data in bold and red in color in side a table control cell

The gui does not support the coloring in table controls. You can set the hightlight attribute, but this will only make the text blue in color. There is no way to make it any other color.

I generally back up and restore my iphone every week... and this time i backed it up..and i can see that backup time and file size.. now.. when i try to restore my iphone.. i select the back up and now it is taking forever to restore. help me

today at 00:46 1st june.. i backed up my iphone and it was perfect...
when i try to restore it.. it is taking 15+ hours .. and that time stays like that for almost 3 hours... it does not happen.
i even called the apple help center. and they said me to install as a new device... and when i said what wil happen to my messages.. they say .. they wont stay.. and wil be deleted.. and all my apps i need to download again..
but earlier i din need to do any of it.!!! it worked really fine .!!!

Once in a while the restore process seems to mess up. What I don't understand is why you would perform a weekly restore.
At any rate, if you must restore, perform a device reset (settings>general>reset) and then you will have the opportunity to restore from iCloud. Restore a device whenever it no longer works correctly, not just as a matter of maintenance. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Yes. Well, sort of: instead of a "path", set the pen tool to "shape" in the tool properties. Then set the fill colour to transparent, and the stroke colour to the colour you want. You can also set the stroke width.
Not perfect, but at least you can see the path more clearly - the anchor points and handles still remain the default colour. Open the path panel, and right-mouse click the path shape to create a selection based on that shape. The Paths panel menu also allows you to create work paths based on that shape.
Unfortunately when you try to move the handles the black thin outline appears again until you release the mouse button.
This is one of several things that works better in Photoline: in Photoline, once the path is set to a specific colour, editing the path uses the actual colour and stroke width. which is extremely handy for creating path based selection with awkward background colours and/or a high resolution screen. In Photoline the handles and bezier points are also much, much larger, which makes it rather simpler to work with as well - especially on a higher resolution screen. And when selected the handles and points are a clear red with a black outline - again easier to spot and identify. I just works better, in my opinion.

In APEX 4.0, question on formating bold and underline in a table

I am using APEX 4.0,
I see I can format Bold and underline in a textbox using a control but when I save this to a clob in the database, it using the command punctuation and not really the underline or the bold.
I am using a word doc to display the contents of the clob but I just get the command punctuation and not the real underline or bold, what am I doing wrong?

You do NOT save formatting to a CLOB type column, hence the C lob (Character). If you want to save a Word style document to a column, then look at a Blob (Binary)..

I have an ipad 2, MC769x it is running 4.3.3 (8j2) i have been trying to upgrade to ios 5 or higher but a) I don't have a software update option on my Settings / General screen. And b) when I go into itunes I don't get tihe options suggested on the forums
