General E72 Support needed

Hi, I have just purchased my new E72 and configured most things OK however there are a few queries I have as follows:
Ovi navigation seems to take a longer route even though I have selected shortest in the configuration settings. How can I get the guidance to take the shortest route when its calculated?
The voice guidance volume defaults to 0 so I cannot hear anything. Have to keep increasing the volume. How can I increase the default to maximum?
How do you synchronise the map routing and addresses in ovi online with that of the mobile as the option to do so manually has been set but the menu options shown in the help online do not correspond with that of the device.
My e72 is connected via RSAP to my VW premium BT car kit fine. However, I would like to port the voice guidance through the BT car kit but cannot find a way to do this. Is it possible? If not would it be possible to port the voice guidance to a BT head set even though the mobile is already connected to the BT car kit?
Why does the e72 ask me 3 times whether I want to accept a BT connection that I have already set up? For example when I get into the car the phone attempts to connect to the cars BT and I have to confirm 3 or more times I want to do this. On my 6300 it just does it no confirmation needed.
How do you search for BT devices on the e72?
Any help would be gratefully received.

Hi guys!
Since it is impossible to contact Toshiba Bulgaria in any possible way I am forced to use this forum. Can someone tell me how to solve an issue with the Intel Management Engine Interface 9.5.24.1790? Upon starting the computer I am prompted by the TEMPRO to download a new driver, I unzip the package, I execute the file but I get a "Can not find support device" message all the time.
Any ideas how to contact Toshiba or how to solve this issue would be appreciated!

According notebook specification your machine was delivered with preinstalled Win7. With other words your machine is preinstalled with recovery image. This recovery image is software package that contains all necessary drivers, tools and utilities. All hardware components are properly installed and configured so, generally speaking, there is no need for some updates.
Tempro is tool that informs you about updates but you must NOT install them, especially if system runs well and stabile.
I have 5 years old machine and still use original drivers and BIOS version as well.
I don't have this notebook model and cannot check this but believe me here is no reason for panic.
This is definitely not some important issue. Just ignore this message and continue to use your machine.
Important thing for you is to create recovery media (USB or DVD). More about that you can read in users manuals document.

Why can't I see an option to download the ios5 upgrade under General settings

you can update an iPad 1 up to iOS 5.1.1 , you need to connect it to iTunes on a computer and update from there

Please note that iPad 1 goes up to iOS 5.1.1, while iPad 2 goes up to iOS 6.1.3, the (current) latest version. You won't be able to ' choose ' iOS 5.1.1 on iPad 2, it will automatically update to the latest version possible.

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

You can't make the change yourself. Installing a language pack requires software to which only Nokia Care Points officially have access.
Technically speaking, a Care Point can install any language pack on your phone. Whether or not they're aware of this is another matter. However, the fact remains that there is no language pack that supports both Chinese and Arabic, so I can confirm that you will lose Arabic support if you have the Chinese language pack installed.

should i enable Memory Technology Device (MTD) support when building a kernel for a system with SSD?
Or is that kernel option meant for other usages of flash memory?

Can't remove apple mobile device support. need to for update?

Every time I plug in my iPhone (3GS or my wife's 4) or my iPad2 I get a message telling me to update Apple mobile devise support and to do so I need to uninstall it and iTunes and reinstall.
Windows won't uninstall AMDS. (windows vista)
It will uninstall everytihng else but AMDS give me a rolling back actions and failed to uninstall due to "fatal errors durring installation".
Is there a way I can get around this to update it? Or do I have to fix these errors and get it uninstalled?
only started happening since most recent update of iTunes and iOS 6 on both phones and iPad. iPod classic still plugs in and syncs fine.

Well, after some virus scanning, spybot destroying, and trying to make a new windows user to remove it: still no progress.
next on the list is cleaning registry and disk defrag (even though I don't think it will help).
Very much open to any suggestions so I don't have to actually take my system somewhere and have to pay someone to fix such a silly thing.

There are a couple of methods for using more than one iPod on a single computer. Method one which has already been described is to have two Mac or Windows user accounts which by definition would give you two completely separate libraries. Method two is to set your preferences so that either one or both iPods get updated with only certain playlists within one library. Have a look at this article and see what you think and go for whichever you feel suits your needs best: How To Use Multiple iPods with One Computer
Another option when using a single library is to set one or both of the iPods to manual update: Managing content manually on iPod
Choosing the update option "automatically update selected playlists only" allows you to create a playlist specifically for each iPod and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used by the other iPod. Make your playlist a Smart playlist and limit the size to just below the advertised capacity of your iPod ( for example, around 3700MB for a 4GB or 1800MB for a 2GB Mini or Nano). Windows 7 Libraries Support Needed

Windows 7 has a great feature called Libraries that allows you to link multiple directories into a single logical folder. This helps you to organize assets for a project that may be scattered across multiple drives or the network into a single place. However, this feature isn't properly supported by Bridge.
The problem is that, although libraries do show up in Bridge, they show up with no context. So, you can't tell which drive a folder is on or what folder a given folder may be a sub-folder of. Without this context it can be very difficult to make proper use of the library feature. For example, if you have several folders all having the same name, the only thing that differentiates them is their parent folders/drives. But the parent folder/drive names aren't shown. Without this contextual info, the only way to know what's in a given folder is to drill down into it and look.
Even worse is the fact that all the contents of all the folders get lumped into a single virtual folder in Bridge. So, for example, consider a folder called Menu with and another folder called Images in different places on my hard drive and I add them both to a library. When I view my library in Bridge all the files in both folders are listed together in the library as though those files were all within a single folder. What Bridge needs to do instead is show the folders Menu and Images and show the contents within those folders.
These problems make libraries essentially useless in Bridge. Bridge needs to provide this context in the same way that Windows Explorer does.

Do you have a Win 7 install DVD?
The recovery kit will not give you access to files on your current HDD.
You may be able to retrieve important files by using Puppy Linux.
Have you entered Setup to verify your HDD is recognized in the BIOS? Your HDD may have failed.

Custom Metadata Schema Support Needed

So, it's 2011, and we still don't have metadata support like Bridge. VRA Core 3 and 4 are being supported by major applications across the web. Large institutions and individuals alike are needing to quickly batch edit large amounts of raw scans and export/embed with compatible image metadata. They have already embraced Bridge as a defacto with its custom file info panels but Lightroom still doesn't support that even though it advertises its strong metadata credentials. The fact of the matter is the world just doesn't use only IPTC anymore.
So I'm wondering if Adobe's already standard XMP "Custom File Info Panels" functionality will be implemented in Lightroom v4. If this is confirmed, large institutions can plan on buying Lightroom as a better (future proof) pre-upload (and personal collection) organizer for large sets of images vs Bridge as Bridge relies directly on a file system and the file system can become a very disorganized place. Also, Lightroom is less costly and more functional for Art Historians.
This has been a constant feature request since v1 in 2007. It has been 4 years. Is there a plan to add this in v4 or some functionality like it?

I am SO frustrated with Adobe...
I am installing Lightroom on a new computer and need my serial number. (I know I should have written this down.) I have spent nearly an hour trying to figure this out, I cannot, and so I need to call customer support. But there appears to be no way to do this--just endless circles of "try this first."
Does anybody know a number I can call to get help?

Where is Adobe Support when you need them? It is time to rethink Adobe Products and return to Final Cut.
After this glitch and no response from support we will be transferring all of our CC files so that they can open in Final Cut.

24 drop frame support needed

Just got a short film to score (an independent film shot in 24p) and the frame rate is at the new 24 drop frame rate. Logic doesn't support this frame rate. In the spirit of keeping up with the times, and, considering that Logic is used by many film composers, this frame rate needs to be supported.
I would like ask that anyone interested in lobbying for this feature for their own purposes (or if you're sympathetic to the need for 24 drop frame rate suppport) to please do two things:
a) submit a feature request on Logic Pro Feedback

Proper support needed

ok, so i have a zen touch and zen xtra that are both in need of repair. the problem with the touch is that it has a small crack in the top of the case that prevents the left ear of and headphones or speakers from playing whereas with the xtra the earjack is totally useless.
i've sent an e-mail to creative to asking them to issue me an rma so that i can ship off both of the players to get fixed, but all i get are idiots telling me nonsense about complimentary service and alot of bull. i know that bith of my players are out of warranty and i don't care about that; i don't even care about creative's tutor crap either. i just need the players fixed so that i can continue to listen to my tunes.
seriously, what the heck is so hard about that? maybe i should just throw my players in the garbage and go over to the i-pod side, huh? creative is really starting to suck. i mean, i can't even find a telephone number to reach them ator anything that doesn't involve the word "tutor" in it. trust me people, i don't need no tutor; i can read and understand everything in both manuals.
but you know what the funny thing is, i had already asked for an rma for the xtra awhile back and received one even though the player's warranty had expired. the only reason i didn't use it was because i waited and got a touch later. if i knew this was going to happen, i would've never even considered buying anything from creative.
so now i'm left with two mp3 players that don't work. way to go creative; you guys really are the ****!

Substitute "Tutor" with "opportunity to speak with Support." If you are out of warranty and no longer eligible for free phone or email support that will have to be your method of communication with Support to get an RMA.
