General sales area -urgent

Hi folks,
In Tc. OVAZ, when i assigning a sales doc. type to a newly created sales area , it s showing error as :define Sales area first as a general sales area.'
How to define this sales area as a common sales area.
I have checked VOR1 and VOR2. it seems it is ok.
why this error is coming..
please suggest something for this as it is urgent.

Hi,
1 you have to do following assignment then only you can assign your document type.
Please do the following setting 1.
Combine sales organizations-->OVAO
Combine distribution channels-->OVAM
Combine divisions-->OVAN
Now assign your order type to type sales are in
IMGà Sales and distributionà Sales Documents à Sales Document Header à Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types àAssign sales order types permitted for sales areas

I am studying SD and I am working on my proyect, I already defined my sales area, distribution channel and division, assigned all and created the sales area, also created a sales document type, now I am going to assign the sales document for the sales area, the sales area and document type was already there but I keep getting the message "Define <my sales area> first as general sales area", I don't know what is this message about since I anready created the sales area.

I have defined sales area,made assignment,combined sales org.,distribution channel and division,made common distribution channel and division but when I goto OVAZ that is sales area assignment to sales doc.type it is giving this error---Define <1000/15/99> first as a general sales area!
Let me tell u I have used all these transaction OVAO,OVAM,OVAN,OVAZ,VOR1 & VOR2 ....is there any other t/code which resolve the above problem

Dear Umed,
This is a sequence infringement of Customizing activities.
Once, You created Sales Org and Dist Chnl in IMG-Settings, i.e.
SPRO --> IMG --> Enterprise Structure --> Definition --> Sales and Distribution
--> Define Sales Org
--> Define Dist. Chnl
Also, create Division:
SPRO --> IMG --> Enterprise Structure --> Definition --> Logistics - General --> Define Division
Once, Enterprise Definition is Done, we make assignment:
SPRO --> IMG --> Enterprise Structure --> Assignment --> Sales and Distribution
--> Assign Dist. Chnl to Sales Org
--> Assign Division to Sales Org
--> Set Up Sales Area
and Finally, we Maintain Following settings in sequence:
OVAO: Define reference S. Org. - assign the same sales org to it, i.e, 1000 to 1000
OVAM: Define reference D. Chl. - assign Sales Org+Dist channel, i.e. 1000+15 to 15
OVAN: Define reference Dvn. - assign Sales Org+Division, i.e. 1000+ 99 to 99
OVAZ - Assign Sales Document Type to permitted sales Area.
Now, you get the error:
Define <1000/15/99> first as a general sales area!
As per my understanding, you must check and maintain Assignment, via:
OVXK     Assignment: Distr. Channel --> Sales Org
OVXA     Assignment: Division --> Sales Org
OVXG     Set Up: Sales Area: Overview
and then make assignment in OVAZ.
Please, check the same and update.

General sales area

Hi all,
I have a sales area 2600,20,00 configured in the system and i want to assign sales doc type fd to it, each time i try that, it throws an error "maintain settings for general sales area first" but this sales area has been existing, what could be the issue? pls help out.

As you have sales area 2600 , 20,00 . So first of all check wheather you have done assignments in VOR1 & VOR2 or not. Secondly also check in SPRO->sales and distribution->sales->sales documents->sales documents header->Assignment of Sales area to sales Document types
After doing the following configuration, then you can create the sales order

I have already assign the sales area in Assignment as well as have already defined the common distribution channel and commom division also.

1.You go to VOR1 transaction here you check what is the distribution channel assigned as common distribution channel for your sales organisation and distribution channel ,if it is improper then maintain correct Distribution channel.
2.You go to VOR2 transaction here you check what is the division assigned as common division to your sales organisation and Divisionif ,it is improper then maintain correct Division.
3.You go to OVAO transaction here you assign reference sales organisation to your sales organisations.
4.You go to OVAM transaction here you assign reference distribution channel to your sales organisation and common distribution channel.
5.You go to OVAN transaction here you assign reference division to your sales organisation and common division.
6.Finally you assin sales document type to your referenced sales area.

I created a new document type and know when i assign this document type to sales area < 1000/10/10 >, its giving an error message " define < 1000/10/10 >first as general sales area" .

Step 2.
IMG (SPRO) -> Sales and Distribution -> Sales -> Sales Documents -> Sales Document Header -> Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types:
a. Combine sales organizations
b. Combine distribution channels
c. Combine divisions
d. Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas

     while assigning a sale area to a doc type i am getting the following error, " define the sale area(XXXX/YY/zz) as a general sale area? i have alreadly done "set up sale area" what is general sale area and how to do it? need help.

The Assignment of Sales Areas to Sales Documents
There may be a need to assign sales documents to specific sales areas. For example, a different
sales document is used for all sales orders from a specific sales organization.
Transaction Code OVAZ
You may assign reference sales organizations as well as reference distribution channels and divisions. Do not confuse this referencing with the assignment of common distribution channels and common divisions. The referencing done here is only used by the system to determine which sales documents are permitted for which sales areas.
If all sales document types can be used by all sales areas, leave the assignment fields blank.
check your sales area in
Set up sales area - Enterprise Structure ® Assignment ® Sales and Distribution ® Set up sales area
T-code: OVXG
Also check the following setting
OVAM - To Combine distribution channels Sales Document Types     -- Sales and Distribution ® Sales ® Sales Documents ® Sales Document Header ® Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types -
choose Combine distribution channels.
OVAN - To Combine division to Sales Document Types      - Sales and Distribution ® Sales ® Sales Documents ® Sales Document Header ® Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types -
choose Combine divisions
OVR1 - Define Common Distribution Channels - Sales and Distribution ® Master Data ® Define Common Distribution Channels

Dear Rajendra,
First you do the combine sales organisations , combine distribution channels and combine divisions steps in the same screen before going to step assign sales order types permitted for sales areas.
Now you try with the last step assign sales order types permitted for sales areas. system will accept.

You want to define allowed sales document types for a sales area which is not maintained as a common sales area. This is a sequence infringement of Customizing activities.

Bapi - relationship on BP with sales area data - urgent

Hello,
I am still looking for BAPI for creating relationship between business partners with sales area data in CRM 5.0.
Example - I would like to create relationship type CRMH03.
Bapi BUPR_RELATIONSHIP_CREATE does not allow for maintaining sales area data (Sales org, distribution channel, division).
Does anybody know such a bapi?

URGENT -- BP SALES AREA

Hello,
I think I've just caused a blunder and am not able to reverse it. We had the sales area displayed for assignment to the BP record until I replicated the ECC sales area and generated it.
Here's what I did:
I executed IMG activity Copy ECC sles stucture and then I on the next screen hit generate and then save.
Upon hitting generate, I saw a lot of ones that were red and are still red. How do I see what the errors are?
Now, when I go the BP, I get a message.
There are no sales areas for maintenance
Message no. CRM_ORGMAN204
I've being trying hard to see how I can un do this, but am having no luck.
Please help... anybody....

there in lies the attributes which u might be using for the sales data mentainance,check whether those attributes are visible ,else check the boxes against those attributes to make them visible and also

We have maintained cross divisions 00, we VR02 have maintanied the combined the divisions and we have maitned the division at MM01, we are getting VP210 error: Ship-to party 10106086 not defined for sales area 6000 40 30.
please help me in this we are unable to create a order.

Here system is considering distribution chan 40 & division 30
Go to VOR1 and maintain like as
Sales ogz - Distribution channel - Distribution for Condition - Distribution chn for CUST/MATERIAL
6000 - 40 - 40 - 00
Then in VOR2
Sales ogz - Division - division for Condition - division for CUST
6000 - 30 - 30 - 00
Then also check you have created customer for sales area 6000-00-00
Check in VOV8 go to details of your sales order type under general control tab Check division should be blank
OR
Remove division form material master basic data tab 1

Hi,
While creating a sales order, got following error-
Ship to party 111111 not defined for sales area <b>3124 14 11</b>.
This customer 111111 is SH to sold to party 1111 & is present in sales area <b>3124 14 11</b> in customer master.
can anybody guide regarding cause of error.and fix it.

Goto New entries
enter
plant,division..>business area
then save
click valuation area/division
Goto New entries

CRM BP type Sold-to-party Sales Area Data button not displayed

Hi Gurus,
Currently we are in the system preparation stage, but there's a problem in BP maintenance. For the BP type Sold to Party, the sales area data button is not showing up in the button bar with the General data. I only can see General data and Relationships here.
The sales area has been maintained in the system already and can be displayed in the reference bp. Not sure any config will affect.
Appreciate if anyone can give me a clue.

Hi,
If you have chosen the role, and the button is not coming up following could be the possibilities:
1. It might sound funny but it is a possibility that You might ALREADY be in the Sales Area data screens. Check if the "General Data" button is active. if it IS active then you ARE in the Sales area data.
2. If not 1, above, then check the authorisation for the id to create BP for Sold to party and / or Sales area.
3. Still No, then check if the screen config for creating BP is std or its a customised one wherein maybe the button has been rendered inactive. You can check by taking an existing BP who might already be a sold to part for a sales area. If this is your first case for a Sold to party then you might look at the screen config for sure.
Do write back if you still need help.
