Generate giving me trouble after Photoshop CC 2014

I use Generate in Photoshop for a multitude of things. And in the last version of Photoshop CC it worked perfect.
But after the update to Photoshop CC 2014 I´ve come across some problems. I was hoping this is some settings I could change, or that its something that is fixable. Because I surely hope its not meant to behave this way.
The problem is that usually I do a lot of stuff within a group, like contrast changes, tweaks etc...and then name the group so that it exports the whole thing inside as an image. But, now after Photoshop CC 2014, every adjustment layer I have inside will affect all the groups lower down in the layer structure that are not part of that group. So essentially I can´t have the freedom I had before.
What I mean is, if I have a layer/group structure like this, group 1 will export with the adjustments from the curve layer of group2:
Layers:
Group2.jpg
    -Curve adjustment layer
    -Image layer
Group1.jpg
    -Image layer
Please help!!

Indeed, go ahead. Dxdiag reports an AMD card, Device manager lists an AMD card.  That's what you have.
You go here: Download Drivers
If it turns out you have Intel graphics, go into your AMD control panel and make the AMD the preferred card.

Mail is giving me trouble after upgrading to yosemite. I am unable to enter settings and change email settings. Can someone please help.

I have had the same issue (and I've seen many posters on here mention this, as well). I have an external FireWire drive that, since upgrading to 10.4.9 is not recognized by my G4 PowerBook. It worked fine before the update. Some have said the issue may have occurred if the drive was connected to the computer at the time of the upgrade but mine was not. I'm patiently waiting Apple to fix this and many other apparent flaws with the latest so-called "upgrade."
P.S. I have never had any issues with previous OSX updates and have been a Mac user for 3+ years.

  • After Photoshop CC 2014 update - Photoshop is very slow (Windows 7)

After updating today to the latest photoshop cc2014 Version, Photoshop starts very slow and is not useable.
    I updated from V. 2014.1.0 to 2014.2.1 20141014.r.257.
Starting Photoshop Needs 6 minutes (before 1.5 minutes). The menue and button reactiontime is more than slow, you cant work with this Setup.
Is there a Problem with the new release?
And please Adobe, dont tell me, my System has a problem. Did only an update on the CC2014 Suite via creative cloud. Old PS Version (2014.1.0)runs great.
After testing a few time, I recovered my System back to Version 2014.1.0 with Windows recovery and Photoshop works good again.
So whats wrong with the new release?

The CC 2014 update  2014.2.1 is a month old and ACR 8.7 is two days old.  Something strange is happening to you.  First try resetting your Photoshop Preferences. This is a Adobe Photoshop User forum your not dealing with Adobe here. You seem to think you are and your attitude seems like you not open to to possibility that your system may have a problem. I think you may have one..

  • Trouble with Photoshop CC 2014, Camera Raw and Nikon 750.

I just installed Camera Raw 8.7.1. It put the folders in a "Pug-Ins" folder under \Programs\Common Files. My Photoshop CC 2014 is in \Programs\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC2014. When I try to open a NEF file from my Nikon D750, CC 2014 says it cannot open it; it is an unsupported file type. So what do I need to do? TIA, Rob

You can select a jpeg and try Ctrl r.  If it doesn't work, let's do a reset. I didn't ask, but you are using Bridge CC?
Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears.
Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.

  • Problem in Camera Raw 9.0 after Photoshop CC 2014 update

Hi, after I install the new update to Phostoshop CC 2014, I can't see the picture when I open a RAW file in Camera Raw 9.0. It only shows a big blue box. Can someone please help me?

Quick fix I found on another thread by fredforward until Adobe can fix the problem. Disable Graphic Processor for Camera Raw worked!
Go to "Edit" menu, "Preferences", "Camera Raw"
Disable "Use Graphic Processor" under "Performance" at the bottom.

  • Photoshop CC 2014 crashes when After Effects is open (ntdll.dll module failure)

Recently, I upgraded from CC to CC 2014. Once I was satisfied with 2014, I uninstalled CC. Since then, I've been having a major issue where if I try and use Photoshop CC 2014 and After Effects CC 2014 simultaneously, either Photoshop or both will crash.
The event viewer gives me this:
Faulting application name: Photoshop.exe, version: 15.2.2.310, time stamp: 0x5480338c
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.18247, time stamp: 0x521eaf24

    Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
    Report Id: 6a2ab0d5-9873-11e4-91b7-14dae9d81d5a
Photoshop generally doesn't give me an error message, but when After Effects crashes, it's almost never the same error message twice, though frequently mentions Dynamic Link in the message.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Creative Cloud multiple times, including using the Cleaner tool. I'd really like to avoid having to wipe my hard drive and reinstall my OS, like support immediately told me to do.
Running Win7 64-bit Ultimate, 32GB RAM, Intel i5-2500k, NVIDIA GeForce 560 Ti. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I do not have After effects.  Your CC 2014 seems to be up to date.  Are all Windows Updates installed and did you install the Dec 23 2014 Nvidia driver?

  • Photoshop CC 2014 stop after a few seconds

I'm a CC subscriber and I recently updated my photoshop CC to photoshop CC 2014.
I can start Photoshop but it automatically stops after a few seconds. I've already tried to uninstall / install multiple times without any success.
    When I read the file "amt3.log" in my temp dir, I can see "[ERROR] |  |  |  | AMT |  |  | 7188 | ERROR: Failure Validating Product License!".
So it seems like a licensing issue.
    Did anyone faced this issue?
    Thanks for your help

I have the exact same error on the log file. I even tried the "nuclear solution" with no more results...
But as I tested the nuclear solution, I uninstalled Lightroom (which worked fine) and I've got the same issue, but I solved it by manually installing it (i.e without using the cc application) and it worked fine.
The installer I used for ligthroom : https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_lightroom
However, I can't get my hands on a similar installer for Photoshop CC.

  • Merge to HDR Pro from LR5. After applying preset and during conversion of file, Iget an error message "Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 has stopped working" and closing PS

In LR5 i do: Merge to HDR Pro. After I apply my preset and PS attempts to convert HDR file, I get an error message from PS: "Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 has stopped working". Then PS Closes.
My source files are 5 NEF files of 28 MB. I select 16-bit, I also tried 8-bit. No difference. Same error message.
    I have a Toshiba Quosmio X870 with Intel i7 3610QM @ 2,30 GHz, 16 GB RAM, Windows 7x64 HP SP 1, 7,3 Performance Index
    Any suggestions?

As the crash report says - your outdated video card driver is crashing. You need to update your video card driver from the GPU maker's website (AMD/ATI in this case).

  • Photoshop CC 2014.1 keeps reopening after closing

I have Photoshop CC 2014.1 running on Mac OS X 10.8.5.  I use a Wacom Intuit tablet without a mouse.   Whenever I close photoshop within a few seconds it reopens. This continues until shut the mac down. I read that removing it from the Dock solve the issue but it didn't fix the is
Anyone else have this issue or a resolution for this bug

Would suggest you to try the same after disconnecting Wacom and using a mouse instead. Check if it works then. If it does, then it has to be your Wacom drivers. Update it and then check.
    Else,
Try resetting the PS CC preferences and check if it's an issue with corrupt preferences : http://forums.adobe.com/thread/375776
Try to open PS CC in Plugin Disabled mode and check the same. For that Press Shift+PS CC icon and hit Yes.
Let me know how it goes.

  • Photoshop cc 2014 suddenly trouble with cloning and healing tool

I just updated photoshop cc 2014. I use a wacom tablet. Suddenly, when I use the healing brush or cloning brush. The brush control panel pops up and the tool simply doesn't work. After repeated attempts, I do succeed in getting this to work. Sure slows me down though.

Sorry for the lack of the report it was my first time reporting an error for software... Never had an issue before.
I haven't experienced the crash via text tool since I posted the question, but the Photoshop is still constantly crashing at startup, but every time I try to enter the report I get the error: Please try again later.m5

  • After installation of latest Bridge and Photoshop version (2014.2.2) *.CR2 files will not be displayed correctly, neither in preview nor in Camera Raw dialog.

After installation of latest Bridge and Photoshop version (2014.2.2) *.CR2 files will not be displayed correctly anymore, neither in preview nor in Camera Raw dialogue.
Some pictures have white squares with blue and red diagonal stripes that cover almost the complete picture.
When opening those files I have the same problem in Camera Raw dailogue and even in Photoshop eventually.
I tried to open the same same pictures on another computer with the same version of Bridge and Photoshop but the problem remains the same.
It seems like the files itselves are still ok, because if you open an explorer window the previews of the pictures are all ok. And the pictures' sizes remain the same.
I tried to clear the cache in both programs but it didn't help.
    Has anyone an idea????

First see if a reboot of your PC helps.  If not,
    Resets may be in order:
Photoshop: Press and hold Control - Shift - Alt immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop.  If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be VERY quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your established preferences, which will lead to them all being set to defaults.
Bridge:  Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears. Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.
Outdated graphics drivers can also cause display problems. Go to your GPU maker's website and be sure you have the latest drivers for your card model.

  • Photoshop CC 2014 crashes right after start in Win7 Ultimate. amtlib.dll seems to blame.

Photoshop CC 2014 crashes right after start in Win7 Ultimate. Installed a new graphics card MSI GeForce GT730 and did an immediate driver update. Also completely updated Windows. Bridge and Lightroom 5.5 work fine. After several attempts to get PS up and running, also after checking possible solutions on the web and in this community I was still left with a crashing application.
Then tried a cracked amtlib.dll in the Photoshop directory and PS worked fine! But not able to check in to CC. Then replaced the cracked amtlib.dll with the original and PS again crashed a few seconds after launch. Oh, and yes, I did check out of Creative Cloud and checked in again but nothing worked so far.

After browsing through several sites I finally stumbled upon the message below, posted a couple of months ago in this forum.
This sequence finally was the solution to my problem with Ps crashing after launch.
    PROBLEM SOLVED!!
After dozens of fruitless attemps to solve the problem and many, many hours of searching the web, I stumbled upon a thread in the PS community that helped me fix the problem and made my day (weekend).
The thread was originally posted by MrNameloc here and ALL CREDITS got to him. A public "Thank You" to MrNameloc is also in its right place.
    The solution is as follows:
    Un-install Photoshop CC.
    Un-install Adobe CC.
Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and find SLCache and delete it.
Go to: C:\ProgramData\Adobe and find SLStore and delete it.
    Restart.
    Install Adobe CC.
    Install Photoshop.
    Restart.
@Adobe, you might wanna write this one behind your ear just in case it shows up again in the forums... 'cose it will.

  • Extensions are missing after updating to Photoshop CC (2014

After updating to Photoshop CC (2014) all my installed extensions don't show up. In Adobe Extension manager they are properly listed for the 2014 version (Photoshop CC 2014 64). How can I get them to work again?
