Generate Score in LifeCycle Designer

Hi! Is it possible to create an interactive form in Life Cycle Designer where the results can be scored and sent to the instructor.

I am also having this problem. It is a dynamic form bound to an XML schema. When I try to reopen it, the livecycle banner comes on, but disappears immediately. The pdf opens in acrobat 9 (a 30-day trial copy). From there, it can be distributed and then filled in.

Cannot upload a pdf file created with LifeCycle designer ES 10.0

I am trying to upload a pdf document but each time I have the following error message:
I tried many tricks like changing the acrobat plugin and using the default PDF viewer instead, I uninstalled and reinstalled all the Firefox plugins, I tried to upload it from IE... but none of these succeeded. I have the latest version of acrobat reader 11.0.7 and the pdf document id secured by a password and was generated using Adobe LifeCycle designer ES 10.0. How can I solve this issue? Acrobat cannot start Adobe LifeCycle Designer! Help!

Can someone help please?
I downloaded a trial version of acrobat 9 pro LCD last week, it opened then, but not anymore. This is the message i get everytime i try to open it, "Acrobat cannot start Adobe LifeCycle Designer. You may need to repair or reinstall the application using the original installation program."
MS SQL server 2009 was installed on my desktop this week, and from another discussion i read that this server and LCD dont get along with each other, and since LCD worked last week for me I am assuming installation of SQL server could be a possible reason why LCD wouldnt open now.
My task is to create a dynamic form that should generate a report from just typing in one field, (for example, entering the name of an account holder should populate the remaining fields of the account holder's data as result.)
has anyone done this so they can help troubleshoot??

I wrote too soon.
So the form seems to be done and functional. I just had to click cancel before going to Livecycle. Then I save it and work on it in Acrobat. I don't know why Livecycle isn't installed correctly, or honestly, what Livecycle does that Acrobat doesn't.
Anyway, problem resolved.

Submit button issue in Acrobat 8 Professional/LifeCycle Designer

I am using Acrobat 8 Professional and LifeCycle Designer 8.0 on a PC with XP Pro. I first made forms using the default email submit button and had an XML data file submitted.
I'm now making the forms to submit as a pdf file rather than an XML file. I selected a regular button rather than the email submit button provided and made it a submit button to be submitted as a pdf.
The forms are being sent as pdf files attached to emails using Outlook. The issue is that every computer has a different "reaction" to this submit button. My computer (PC), when I tested the forms,everything was fine - Outlook opened and I was able to submit the file. On another PC in my office, when she clicked the submit button, nothing happened at all. On a PC at home, I got an error message "this operation is not permitted." And someone on a Macintosh did not even get a submit button showing up on the pdf.
We need to be able to send these files out so that everyone can complete them easily. I would appreciate any ideas on how to make the submit button so that it works on all platforms and computers.

Actually, Bill, this will not be a controlled environment at all. We want to be able to email forms to all of the 80 parents in the school, and have the parents complete them as pdf's and submit the information back to us as a complete pdf form. This opens up the potential for 80 different computers/ISPs/environments. And of course, my supervisor wants it seamless and easy with no glitches for all 80!! So as you can see, I have my challenge with this project.

BPM 7.3 - Adobe Lifecycle Designer 9.0

I`m a PI developer and quite new to SAP BPM, only took part in the SAP training several months ago.
Now my colleague installed a BPM 7.3 system and I`m trying to implement some processes starting with
the sample of the training.
At the moment I try to connect Adobe Lifecycle Designer with the NWDS to use Adobe Forms.
Following note 1522483 I choose Adobe Lifecycle Designer 9.0 and installed it.
During the installation my old version 8.2 was recognized and as described in the note it should be updated.
At the end of the installation there was an error report indicating that there was some trouble during update
of the installation

when I edit the created xdp file in NWDS I could for example create a new data connection specifying the created xsd file, but I am not able to save any changes.

I already searched for this error in SDN and the web, but without result.

I deinstalled and installed the Lifecycle Designer from sratch again.
Unfortunately the same error arises.

Create the interface attributes of type string and xtring type.
Create node in the context of type graphics. bind the interface fields to the graphic node context element properties -
Graphic content, field of xzstring type and mimetype to be string/any char data type of suitable length.
In layout drag and drop the image field and bind it to the graphic element.
In yoour report programme-
do the code as berlow to pass the graphic data -

pass the inerface values for
xstring (graphic field) to be w_binary (import parameter of the previous method)
and mime type to be 'image/bmp'.

I'm using Acrobat X Pro and lifecycle designer is no longer present....how can I get it to work again??

LiveCycle was split from the Acrobat product and is now separate product line.
You might be able to purchase an upgrade version of LiveCycle because you have purchased Acrobat X.

Preview in LifeCycle Designer ES

When I try switching to the preview tab it momentar
ily brings up adobe acrobat professional with an error box it doesn't say error
it just has a question mark in the box and an okay at the bottom right. It is a major hassle to close the form and then bring it up in Adobe Acrobat and then keep switching back and forth.

The new versionof Acrobat doesn't come with LifeCycle Designer.

Generate BC4J components from Designer

Oracle Designer 9.0.2.80.1 vers: 4.0.12
Oracle SCM RON: 9.0.2.80.1 vers: 4.0.12
Oracle Jdeveloper 9.0.4.0 (Build 1419)
I try to generate BC4J components from Designer definitions from SCM.
In Designer:
I make workarea (WA27) as rep_owner
and child application (AP27) below WA.
I create one table (TABLE1) and one (Java) module to that simple table (TABLE1).
I check in and out application table and module.
In JDeveloper:
I make connection to SCM Database as user rep_owner
Test succeed and I see below Connection1Functions tables , procedures .. of the repository.
I do not see among tables just created table (TABLE1).
I make workarea an project below that WA.
Then I right-click on new project and choose Business Tier/Designer Generation +
Designer BC4J and click OK
Designer BC4J Generator Wizard starts
Wiard continues and I choose to workarea: WA27 and next
In next phase wizard shows only workarea WA27 not application below that.
I designer too old or do I need changes to definitions of the repository.

Language of the module have to be Oracle Forms (not JAVA).
After change wizard will find that container (= application) AP27 and modude(s) below that. OK!!!!

Error during installing Adobe LifeCycle Designer

Hi all,
I am trying to install Adobe LifeCycle Designer 8.1 , already downloaded all files from service marketplace.
But while running set up,getting below error message:
The SAP Front-End Installer executable is unable to process the XML files.Restart the uninstallation with the
NwSapSetup executable installed on the workstation.
Do anyone knows about this error message.

It seems that I solved the problem by myself by deleting the 11.0 subdirectory in <AppData>\Roaming\Adobe\Designer.
Afterwards, the application started normally and the settings were created from scratch.

Adobe LifeCycle Designer 8 - Fillable Forms - remove mouseover border

Hi there,
I am using Adobe 8 LifeCycle Designer to create textboxes on a existing pdf so that the users can type & print (in Reader) instead of printing & writing.
I created textfields on all the places I wanted and saved it. When I open the pdf in a acrobat reader, I can see a blue background on the textfield area which is ok with me. But when I move my mouse to click & type I see a black border which I dont want. I do not see the blue background & the border when I do a preview in the Lifecycle designer.

Hi Raaj,
That is standard behaviour. In Reader the Highlight feature is turned on, which gives the light blue fill and the border highlight.
You can control some aspects of the highlight function using script, see here: http://assure.ly/***6tn.
For example, the following JavaSript in the docReady event of the root node would turn off the highlighting:
app.runtimeHighlight = false;

I have a Problem using the LifeCycle Designer in NWDS. The LifeCycle Designer is installed but every time I am trying to start it from the NWDS there is an error - Could not find the required product. Install SAP Interactive Forms - Adobe LiveCycle Designer...... .
Does anybody have an idea?

I had the same issue.
the versions were these:-
ALCD->8.1
NWDS->7.0.114
whenever I was trying to edit the interactive form the same error was thrown.
So I removed the Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.1 from my machine.
Installed Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.1 in place.
Now it is working fine.
Don't know the exact reasons why it was not working, but still keeping a copy of the 7.1 in your machine will help.

Edit previous lifecycle designer file, now on mac

I made a interactive PDf in lifecycle designer a couple of years ago when I was on PC, now i am exclusively mac and they want me to update the file. I am only updating the logo and small print, not the interactivity.
How on earth do I do this without recreating from scratch?

You will have to revise it in LiveCycle Designer if you don't want to bother switching over to using Acrobat.
It look like you just have fields on the first page that are used for navigation (apart from the other buttons), so this would be easy to duplicate in Acrobat.
