Generate Survey URL outside the Survey Suite

Hi All,
I want to generate a Survey URL when clicking on a self created button in the WebUI, to navigate to this generated URL.
I know that I can create such a link in the survey suite, but I want to do it dynamicly with a Button on  a different view.
When pressing the button I should have things like survey ID and survey version available to use them for the generation.
While trying some things and playing around I found the function "CRM_SVY_PREVIEW_GET" in the function Pool "CRM_SVY_SUITE" that is executed when I am creating this URL in the Survey Suite, so my first guess is to take this function for it.
But I am afraid, that I don't have the needed XML-Parameters for the function, so I am a bit stuck.
Maybe someone knows where these "paths" of the XMLs are stored in SAP?
Any advice is highly appreciated!
Perhaps I am on a completely wrong way?
Many thanks in advance!
Cheers
Dennis

Hi Gregor,
I have already tried the parameter XML which can be used for the BSP based process which is working fine for internal user. I can see the survey, input my options as well which gets saved Successfully.
But when this survey link does not work and open out side the company domain.
I was told that in order to make the links accessible out side company domain I will have to create XML parameter file under PARAMETER XML's "http". But while copying standard parameter file and saving it its asking me for connector ID and decliing to save the XML file.
I want to know what exactly is this connector ID and where can I get it so that i can make entries as below and genarate the URL
Field name     User action and values
Get Option----
http
Get File     ZCRM_SVY_HTTP_SYSTEMPARAM_<systemID>_<client>.XML
Send Option----
http
Send File     ZCRM_SVY_HTTP_SYSTEMPARAM_<systemID>_<client>.XML

  • How to Invoke Oracle Configurator via URL Outside the APPS Firewall

    Hi Gurus,
We would like to invoke Oracle Configurator via URL same as Oracle iStore. Please let me know the process/steps to meet the requirement.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Venky.

There is no restriction that Oracle Configurator may only be executed from within an Oracle hosting application. Configurator may be invoked from any application that has the ability to call Configurator's UI servlet. As an example, Astec (now part of Emerson Network Power) has had a Configurator application they call their "Power Wizard" on their public website for nearly eight years (http://www.powerconversion.com/powerwizard/).
Venky, I would recommend you search My Oracle Support for articles containing 'configurator firewall' or 'configurator ssl', and then filter the results to just EBS articles. If what you find there is not helpful, opening a Support Request to get information more tailored to your particular scenario may be advisable.

  • Internet scenario - survey suite

    Hello all,
i am new to crm marketing. I was wondering if anyone has done an internet scenario for the survey suite.
I have already created the survey but I just do not know how i can implement this in an internet scenario.
When i try to generate an URL for the survey, I selected http option, but the get/send options return empty dropdown fields. From further reseach, i found out that it was due to wrongly defined XML parameters. But still get an error msg saying that the "ConnectorID not (yet) defined.
I then did further research and found that I need to install a survey servlet and I installed the survey servlet but in the end, I still get the error message "ConnectorID not (yet) defined".
Does anyone know what else I need to do or if I;missing any steps?
p/s: We are currently using CRM 5.0. Amd I have exhausted all resources. Would greatly appreciate for pointers/guidance

    Hi Lee,
I have successfully created and triggered the survey as part of one of campaign execution. The survey URL is seen in the delivered mail and also I am able to create a activity for the response of the survey. It also should work in your scenario.
Just follow the best practice document C22 step by step and you should be able to trigger survey successfully.
Let me know, if you have any difficulties.

  • How to generate wsdl url in Siebel 8.1

    Dear Gurus,
Please help, how to generate wsdl url from inbound web services in Siebel 8.1
    Regards,
    Eldin

    Hi Raj,
I've tried, this url did'nt recognize as a web service.
For example, in Oracle E-Business Suite ( Integration Repository ) there's a button to generate wsdl url. The wsdl url is http://servername/webservice/pls/test?WSDL.
So is it possible we generate wsdl url like in E-Business Suite ? Or there's something we need to configure so Siebel wsdl url will recognize as web service in E-Business Suite.
    Thanks for your response.

  • Trouble generating administrative URL.

We are using the code samples to generate the URL for access to iTunes.
Here is the URL generated by the C# code we adapted:

      Windows 2000

    A couple of things:
    1. Try appedning the debug string that Apple sent you with your site admin credentials. It is of the form "abc123". Just have your code stick it in right after the site URL ... that is just after "...Core.woa/Brwose/mdc.edu" (so you'd have "...Core.woa/Browse/mdc.edu/abc123?credentials..."). Last time I read Apple's iTunes U documentation, it didn't say explicitly how to use the string, but that's what you need to do. When you send a URL like that, Apple will show you a page that says how it is interpreting your iTunes U URL. This page is very helpful in determining what's wrong with your URL.
    2. When I was working on our site, I would compare what my code generated with what Apple's code generated (credentials that are generated within a ninety second time frame are usually the same). I got so frustrated doin this that I decided to create an app that would make it simpler. If you would like to try out my code, it is here:
    http://itunes.uic.edu/itunesuaccess.html
This code generates a URL using the C code Apple provided (so it produces the same URL as Apple's shell script does ... because the shell script requires that you compile the C code in Apple's examples).
    Hope this helps.

  • Survey suite URL

    Hi Forum,
I have an issue with survey suite, I have created and generated the survey questionnaire and the original url is also generated and it is opening on WAS also.
Now I would like to know how do I send it to the customer in case I send it by mail to the BP of the target group then my only concern is that I cannot send him the same original url that I have generated since it has all the info about my server.
Is there a way that the custom url that I send to the customer in the mail is different from the original url generated in survey suite and there can be a mapping between the two url’s.
Please guide me on this issue.
    Regards,
    Neeti

    Hi Neetika,
May be alternative solution would be to give the URl of the company and put your questionnaire on the webpage and try and see how you could get back the information from the website to the sap system and a rough idea would be to take the responses as a flatfile and then use some upload program and do the required things.
    or
Normally you need to use a web dispatcher in SAP standard and this will convert the url you defined to some other URl and customer will see a different url.
This should help you understand better.

  • Survey suite as url

    hi
I have a few questions about Surveys
    1) is it possible to create a form in the Survey Suite and then have it linked from a personalized mail form?
    2) Why do I keep getting the error message " The name of the function module should be of type ‘CRM_SVY_..._PBO"  and ‘The name of the function module should be of type CRM_SVY_..._PAI"?
    3) Can the customer later edit the survey on their own, without ever coming back to me?

    1) Yes.  You go into the Survey Repostitory from Survey Suite and generate the URL that you add to your mail form.  Additional setup involved to enable this.  See this blog for help:
    /people/gregor.wolf3/blog/2006/07/22/create-run-and-analyze-an-e-mail-campaign-with-a-survey-part-1
    2) You can just ignore that message
    3) Yes...depending upon their desire to learn how to use Survey Suite

  • Find the URL of the survey attached in an activity

    Hi experts,
I have one campaign, when we run the campaign it creates the activities to which survey is attached as a questionaire.
    Our scenario:
when ever a user logs in to the EP. He sees the survey as a hyperlink.
    Our requirement:
how to get the url of the survey attached

    Hi,
survey is attached in an activity as a questionaire.

  • I need to save a "live URL" on the iPad desktop for surveys at work.

The URL "https://surveys.kenexa.com/campbells2014" changes to "https://surveys.kenexa.com/v14survey.login.aspx" which is what gets saved to the desktop via safari.  This link doesn't work if safari is fully closed.  How can I get safari to save my original URL "https://surveys.kenexa.com/campbells2014" so it always open the survey website?

I don't see any way to do this since the web site has an immediate redirect to the second URL. I'd suggest you just save the original URL as a Note or some other app. In Notes at least it will be clickable. Not as convenient as having a bookmark in Safari, but at least it will work. Alternatively, you can see if a third-party web browser allows direct entry of bookmarks rather than having to save a site as in Safari. Or if you're synching bookmarks from your computer, you could perhaps enter the first URL into the bookmarks on your computer's web browser.
    Regards.

Press CTRL + F12 which will open the survey attributes.
it will show two standard function modules.
copy the standard PBO fm to Z one and make the required changes.

  • Survey Suit in CRM

    Dear SAP Guru's,
Could anyone plz help me how to go about using a Survey suit.
    I have created a questionnaire in CRM_SURVEY_SUIT.
Kindly plz share any info about implementing a Survey Process.
Is there any TX. Code to call the Survey Sheet in CRM system. Plz help me with ur experience.
    Regards,
    Amit

    Hi Amit,
I am giving the example how to create questionnaire with Survey Suite for Activities, repeat the same according to your object
    <b>Defining Questionnaires</b>
    <b>Use</b>
The questionnaire in the activity is based on the survey. A survey is created in the Survey Suite. This is a tool for managing surveys, opinion polls and questionnaires. The surveys can be found in the left area of the Suite. The surveys for each application are found in the corresponding folders in the tree.
For an overview of the available surveys for the relevant application, open the folder for that application.
To display the content of a survey, double-click the survey you wish to see. The content is displayed on the right hand side of the screen.
If a translation has been created for a survey, and is available, the symbol next to the survey in the tree is the symbol for the "Translate" function.
It is possible to copy an existing survey. In this way, you make savings by reusing questionnaires in the same or similar survey projects.
    <b>Procedure</b>
To carry out the activity, choose one of the following navigation options:
    Transaction Code     CRM_SURVEY_SUITE
IMG Menu     Customer Relationship Management &#61614; Transactions &#61614; Settings for Activities &#61614; Questionnaires &#61614; Define Questionnaires
    General Settings for the Questionnaire:
    1.     Enter the transaction code CRM_SURVEY_SUITE to start the Survey Cockpit.
The Overview of Surveys screen appears.
    2.     In the list of applications choose the component ACTIVITY.
    a.     Press button Create (F5) to create a new questionnaire.
    b.     If you have already assigned a survey to the component, you can choose button Change (F6) to maintain it.
    c.     If you are copying an existing survey from another application, select the survey, choose the button Copy (F7), assign your newly created survey to application ACTIVITY and rename the survey.
You can edit your questionnaire in the Survey Builder that is opened for case a. and b.
A template is generated for a newly created survey. It already contains a survey title and a section with a question/answer and pushbuttons to send or reset the filled out questionnaire.
    3.     You can maintain survey attributes    (CTRL + F12) to make central settings for your questionnaire.
The system opens a dialog box in which you can decide, for example, whether the survey can still be changed after sending or for which scenarios is it valid.
    Create Survey Elements:
    1.     In the upper left screen area, select the hierarchy node in the structure view of the questionnaire.
    2.     Choose Insert Section to create a group of individual questions that belong together as regards subject.
The system displays detailed information for the section in the lower left screen area.
    3.     In the Text field enter a name that is to appear as the title of the question group in the survey.
    4.     Select the new section and choose Insert Question to define your questions. The system displays entry fields in which you can enter the question text, ID (is visible in expert mode) and the rating factor.
A question consists of the attributes question text, Id, and rating factor, which you must maintain and also of as many answers as required.
A unique Id must be assigned to each question. This Id is necessary for the later evaluation of the completed survey. The system gives you a suggestion for a unique Id, but you can overwrite this.
With the rating factor, you can control the quantitative evaluation of the survey. The higher the rating factor, the greater the weighting of the question in the evaluation. In the evaluation, the calculation is made by multiplying the rating factor of each question by the rating of the selected answer.
    5.     Select your question and choose Insert Answer to pre-define your answers. The system displays entry fields.
An answer consists of answer attributes and answer options. According to the answer category, the answer can contain one or more answer options. For input fields and text areas, only one answer option per answer is allowed, for radio buttons, check- boxes and list boxes, as many answer options as required are possible.
A unique Id (is visible in expert mode) must be assigned to every answer. This Id is necessary for the later evaluation of the completed survey. The system will give you a suggestion for a unique Id, but you can overwrite this.
You can also determine whether the text is placed to the left or the right of the input element and whether the answer should be in display format only and therefore unchangeable.
For input fields and text areas, you must also specify the size.
If necessary, select one of the answer options as a default value that is already selected when you open the questionnaire.
    6.     Add other questions/answers that you want to ask in this section or create new sections with questions/answers.
The system updates the status of the questionnaire in the structure view and in the preview every time as soon as you confirm your entries.
    7.     To change the attributes of a survey element you created, you have to double-click on it in the structure view.
    8.     Choose Save.
You can run a test for the created survey (CTRL + F8).
    9.     Go back (F3) and activate your survey (CTRL + F1).
After creating the questionnaire you got to create an URL for this, If you wish to use it in E-Mails. Pleas refer to the following two links to Create an URL
