Generating a File from ESB or BPEL without XML Elements
Is there a way to generate a file without the XML tags using a FTP or File adapter in BPEL or ESB? Basically what I need to do is create a CSV file with a header row but without the XML tags. Below is an example. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Now:
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<theFile xmlns="http://oracle.com/">
FIRST_NAME,LAST_NAME,MIDDLE_NAME
Jim,Smith,L
Tom,Murphy,T
Patty,Miller,A
</theFile>
Need:
FIRST_NAME,LAST_NAME,MIDDLE_NAME
Jim,Smith,L
Tom,Murphy,T
Patty,Miller,A
hi todd_thomas
If you apply an XSL styleheet like this ...
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:output method="text"/>
<xsl:template match="/"><xsl:value-of select="."/></xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>... to an xml file like this ...
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<theFile xmlns="http://oracle.com/">FIRST_NAME,LAST_NAME,MIDDLE_NAME
Jim,Smith,L
Tom,Murphy,T
Patty,Miller,A</theFile>... you get output like this ...
FIRST_NAME,LAST_NAME,MIDDLE_NAME
Jim,Smith,L
Tom,Murphy,T
Patty,Miller,Asuccess

Generated pdf file from oracle reports show bad characters
Hello all,
Iam fighting with a problem with generated pdf file from oracle reports which show some bad characters. I was searching for some information but it didnt help...
I have Oracle Database 11g R2 (or 10g R2) on Oracle Linux or Windows, Oracle forms and reports 6i (i know that is very old and not supported with 11gr2 but we are in this scenario).
NLS parameters are set like this
server:
NLS_CHARACTERSET EE8MSWIN1250
NLS_TERRITORY AMERICA
NLS_LANGUAGE AMERICAN
client:
NLS_CHARACTERSET EE8MSWIN1250
NLS_TERRITORY SLOVAK
NLS_LANGUAGE SLOVAKIA
When I run Oracle Reports it show perfect in display and when I try to print them, they are all good with good characters, but when I try to generate pdf file, some characters like č,š,ľ are not displaying corectly... This happen only when try to generate to pdf...
I try to work with uifont.ali on client side but without any result. Fonts for reports were installed on client and server side... Can someone help me with this problem? Thank you very much for every advice.
MartinHi Sergiusz,
Thank you for your reply. I look at what you wrote and try to make some test...
1) For first I download FontForge, which can generate type1 font from true type. So I open FontForge and open my Arial.ttf font and use "Generate Fonts" to save my Arial.ttf font to pfb and pfm (whoch are need to set in uifont.ali). I have to change encoding, because my font has 2byte encoding so I reecondode the font from ISO10646-1 to ISO8859-2 and generate to pfb.
2) Then I navigate REPORTS_PATH from regedit to my *.pfm and *.pfb files.
3) I add these lines to end of my uifont.ali
[ PDF:Embed ]
Arial = "Arial.pfm Arial.pfb"
ArialNarrow = "ArialNarrow.pfm ArialNarrow.pfb"
4) Then I generate my report but nothing change... I check "Font used" in my pdf file, but there were not my fonts embedded I guess..
I also try PDF:Subset, but it doesnt change anything... I try PDF aliasing to see if my uifont is working - this work very well, but I dont need to change font...
Any other advice? Thank you so much to everyone!

JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:

<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

I am facing problem While Generating WSDL File from WSDL Geerator which is provided by SAP Business One
If any body has resolved this. Please help Me...!
Thanks
MritunjayHi.
We've seen that error too few times.
We downloaded the sourcecode for the wdsl generator and discovered,
that in our case, it was because we had no user defined objects.
Its actually a bug as far as I can see, where the wdsl generator tries
to enumerate a empty recordset, and crashes.

How to transfer files from mac to ipad without using itunes
how to transfer files from mac to ipad without using itunes ???
as i want to use my ipad for official use as well...please suggest..well to be 100% technical, no you didn't but that aside, it good to know there are ways for people to transfer music into the default apps without iTunes, if they have a need.
I tend to use 3rd party apps for documents, like your mentioned iExplorer etc, which are handy.
I see from a search the two "apps" you mentioned are not iOS apps, which I had assumed, SyncPod and FreeSync are apps for your computer, that would explain their access to the default Music/Video apps.
I had wondered how Apple had allowed iOS apps in the store that could get around the sandboxing in iOS of apps.

Generating delimited file from a report in reports 6i gives error rep-1814
Hi all,
We are using reports 6i.
We have a report from which we are trying to generate a delimited file.
We are encounterign the error REP-1814 The object vertically can never fit.
After looking into forums we came to know that there is something like DELIMITED_HDR should be set to NO..
Also we observe dthat this is done using th following command
set_report_object_property('exp039r', null,
' DELIMITER=tab' ||
'DELIMITED_HDR=no');
We tried doing that but, it is not working. Is there anything we should do to get it work.
Thanks and Regards,

Directly generate .exe file from .pc file
Helllo
i want to convert .PC to .EXE file.
otherwise i have to go to pro*c/c++ then generate .C file and
from that i have to generate .EXE file from Microsoft Visual c++.
So can anybody suggest the exact way.
Regards souravHi,
Yes you can do it.
In unix environment you have to write make file or you can use a sample make files provided by oracle in the below directory.
/ORACLE_HOME/precomp/demo/proc
The files are:
demo_proc64.mk
demo_proc32.mk
demo_proc.mk
In windows environment you will have to set the path for below two library files.
(Oracle 9i)
oraSQL9.lib
oraSQLX9.lib
You can find these files in (ORACLE_HOME\precomp\lib\msvc) folder on your PC.
and also you have to do some more setting in Visual C++ editor. I am unable to recollect all the setting now, because i don't have windows environment.
I am sorry i cant help you for windows environment. If you have unix env i can help you more.

How to generate a file from JSP form
Hi,
I want to generate a file from the informations of a form(JSP).
Which classes do I have to use ?
Thanks.Of course you have to use the standard servlet classes to retrieve the request parameters from the form.
ie request.getParameter();
package "java.io" gives you File input/output ability.
If you are generating a text file, thats probably the BufferedWriter and FileWriter classes.
Cheers,

How to generate .java file from xml?
Does anyone have an idea of how i can generate .java file from xml file? Tools like jakrata digester, JOX are there but both of them are useful in populating java beans from xml. My requirement is to generate .java file from .xml with getters and setters methods for xml elements/attributes. I also tried JAXB. But JAXB generates bunch of files and most of them are interfaces, which is not going to work for me.
For e.g. i have following xml file and i want to generate Address.java file with getters/setters. Any ideas?
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' ?>
<Address>
<FirstName type="String"/>
<PoBox type="int"/>
</Address>
Thanks,
VickyCrosspost.
