Generating an URL to link from a webpage to a document in SAP

Where I work, business documents are stored and managed in SAP. In our testing lans, our automated tester system generates reports in HTML. We can setup the test system to use a template to generate an URL from a document number. Just have to figure out the right template. (When test technicians create test cases, there is a field in the test case editor in which we have directed the technicians to put the document number of the related requirements.)
In EasyDoc, I have used the "Copy as URL to clipboard" feature to have SAP generate links to documents and then exampined these links. A problem with these links is that they contain a file name as well as the document number and the links do not work without the file name.
So, I am asking if there is a way to create a link that essentially causes a "search by document number" operation when the link is clicked on?

these arent hrefs which is what I'd expect the later to be but you never know how this is determined.

Well in my case it would appear there's something wrong with the actual scraping since View results shows {} for the image urls returned when either linked or this page is selected.
So now i'm screwed because I have no other way to diagnose the problem ie. why the <img elements are being missed by the action.

I can't copy any data or links from any webpages in Firefox to other programs such as Word

When i am on different webpages and i try to copy information (URLs, data, links etc) from the webpage and try to paste it into either email messages, MS Outlook 2003 or a MS Word 2003 document, it will not paste. Not sure if this is a Firefox problem or a MS Office problem. It worked fine until about 2 days ago. Now it won't do it at all - have tried from several different webpages, different types of data, different types of desinations (documents, email, etc)

What happens if you try to paste into Notepad?

When I click onto a link from a webpage, it never loads.

When I go onto a website and it gives me a list of links that I can go to, they will not load. It gives a name of (example) 13x42pixels on the tab, the page is blank and the bottom left says Done. I try to refresh, over and over but it never loads.

A link from another programme (Adobe Reader, eMail) take almost 2 minutes to show up in firefox. A link from a webpage in firefox opens in less than 2 seconds

I want to link a picture on a full-sized web page to a much smaller window that contains more info about the picture - but do not know how to create a smaller window. Can anyone help?

Once again, thank you. The FREE lightbox you provided a link to above is just beautiful. I couldn't find a way to link the larger photos to different pages on the site I am working on, but can think of many uses for it on the site (it's a home design and staging site).
I did eventually find a behavior in Dreamweaver that let me create small windows to my specifications (Open Browser Window) and linkable to my images, so I'm a happy camper.
The javascript you directed me to will come in very useful on other occasions - seems to me I learned that many years ago in web design school but conveniently forgot how to do it.

Links from My Sites (Follow) / Follow Documents doesn't work.

Hello All,
We have build a sharepoint env and are now extending the site to the extranet users. For the main site and the My sites we have extended the zone. We have checked the AAM and all settings are correct.
We have 2 Web applications:
Default Web Application : Hosts the SP site that we build on port 8000 (SPSRV:8000)
My Sites Web Application : Hosts the My Sites host on port 8001 (SPSRV:8001)
We have extended the 2 sites to and let SP create a IIS Site.
Default Web Application on port 80 with intranet.domain.com as binding.
My Sites Web Application on port 80 with my.domain.com as binding.
Everything is working fine except if the user clicks on follow the real servername and port (SPSRV:8000) appears in the ("following Sites") link.
Is there somebody who knows what we did wrong ?
Some links in My Site is correct some not.

Is it possible to link from a Google Map to a DPS article?

Hey everybody,
I'm using DPS to produce an iPad travel magazine about Berlin. One feature shoul be a Google Map with all the Points Of Interest from the articles. I want to set links from the articles to the POIs which is possible as far as I know. But is it also possible to link thge other way round, from a POI tooltip in the Google Map to an article produced in DPS? The map will be entirely online.

You can use social sharing URLs to link from the map to your DPS application, provided it is a multi-issue publication and not a Single Edition application.
The advantage to this approach is your readers will be able to see your DPS content even if they aren't on a mobile device, as the web viewer will render the content in those situations.

Named Anchor linking from another document

I made a Named Anchor and linked from some text in another document. Great. Worked just fine. The only thing is it doesn't display the named anchor at the top of the page.
In other words the footer is at the bottom of the page and the named anchor in the middle of the page... not at the top. Like a #top would be.
Anyway to get it to the top of the page? Do I just need more content under it?

Under menu choice "Treatment" then choose "TFP".... the first sentence has ..."Borderline PD developed..."
I wanted to link Borderline PD to:
Menu choice: Disorders... choose Personality... go down to "Cluster B" and there's Borderline PD.
The link worked but the named anchor "Borderline PD" is in the middle of the page.

Auto-extracting URL LINKS from webpage?

is there a way to extract all the linked url's from a webpage?
i am trying to put together some lists and would like to gather these up and then insert them into a numbers spreadsheet. in some cases there are 30 to 50 of these listed on the left hand side of a webpage and right now I imagine clicking on a link, copying the url from the browser, inserting into numbers, clicking back, clicking on the next link etc.
is there a way to save some steps by exporting these to a text document and then copying and pasting from there?

You create the new bookmark with the javascript replacing the original URL from any old bookmark you have and no longer need, or just create a new bookmark for any thing at all specifically for your links script. Then once you are at a page where you want the links displayed, you just select your new links bookmark. Your page will stay open, but a new window will open as well, with all the links listed. You might want to change the size of the window, the width=400 and height=200 result in a pretty small window. Anyway, I put the Links javascript bookmarklet in my Bookmarks menu, so while I am here on this page I just go to the Bookmarks menu, slide down and select Links, and a new window opens with all the links on this page listed.

Editing "Create links from URLs"

My document has Preferences | General | "Create links from URLs" enabled. But when I hovver the cursor over the link, it is incorrect, with a trailing space character, showing as http://www.example.com/webaddress/20 (it should not have the trailing 20).
I've tried using the Text Touch Up tool, but there is no trailing space in the text, and if I try and delete the last few characters, and retype them, then the Web address shows squares where I change the chacters, eg. http://www.example.com/webadd⃞⃞⃞⃞⃞⃞

Open new tab from any webpage, click any link on new tab, waits till the page is loaded and try to go back one page on new tab (arrow is disabled).

It happens whenever I open new tab from any wabpage. Once the tab is opened and initial webpage is loaded I may use any link to jump on another, second webpage in same tab. However, if I want to go back on initial webpage I can't do it cause that option (arrow) is disabled. I could use link on second webpage to jump on third, and only at that moment go back option becomes available again. However, I could not ever go back on initial webpage any more. As initial webpage has never existed.
It happens quite often (95%).

Right click the Back button and select the page you want to go back to from the list.
If the list is too long to display via the Back button, hit CTRL+H, change the view to "Last Visited" and then load it from there instead.

Add content administration role to the user.
The the content administration tab would be visible to the user in the main menu tab.
Then in content administration tab, configure the URL for KM URL tab or link.
