Generating either Multiscreen or Responsive HTML5 from command line (RHCL)

Has anyone had any luck getting either of the HTML5 default layouts to generate using RHCL.exe with RoboHTML 11?  We try to keep the source files checked in, then generate the output at build time.
To test, I generated a project based off the "Knowledge Base" template, then updated the the associated screen layouts with the screen profiles.  For Responsive HTML5, that was "Theme1_Standard", and for Multiscreen HTML5, that was "Desktop_Knowledge".  Both of these layouts generate fine through the RoboHTML UI, but when generated from the command line, they fail.  With Responsive HTML5, RHCL does not acknowledge that the layout exists.  For Multiscreen HTML5, RHCL crashes (null reference exception) when processing the project's index.  (Keep in mind that I haven't modified the index from the template at this point).
I'd be happy with either of these two layouts working with RHCL, as we're still fairly early in the process of creating the online help.  Our only requirement is that it is web-based and cannot use frames (like WebHelp layout does).
thanks,
-mike

I just tried and I got the same error as you :-( It seems Adobe didn't implement Responsive HTML5 in the command line. I would qualify this as a bug. Please report it to make Adobe aware of this: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform&product=38 Adobe has been fixing many bugs in the past two patches. So perhaps they can fix this in an upcoming patch. And the more people report a problem, the more likely it is to get fixed.
One way around this issue would be to use a script. Call RoboHelp from the command line to open a script and let the script generate the output. Not the best way to go, but at least you can make it work...
Kind regards,
Willam

  • Generating indexes in ds 5.2 from command line

    Hi;
    Could somebody please tell me how to generate the indexes from command lines without using the db2index.pl script. I cannot use this script as we donot have the necessary perl modules to resovle the password.
    your response is much appreciated
    thanks

    You don't need the necessary Perl modules, they are provided with the directory. So this command should work.
    And what do you mean by "resolve the password"?
    Other than that you can use db2index but your sever will have to shut down first. The db2index.pl can be run while the server is running. For usage please refer to the product documents at docs.sun.com in particular

    1- Is it because it depends on how jpr or jws are configured ?
    2- How can we automatically generate a build file of the application from command-line (as opposed to using Jdev IDE to click to generate a build.xml) ?

    The first  warning is happening because you're stating drivers for input devices without need. You haven't disabled hotplug so evdev gets used instead of kbd. This is normal, and you should change the driver line from kbd to evdev so that whatever options (if any) you've specified for the keyboard get parsed.
    The second warning is about you not installing acpid.
    The third I have no idea about, but look at the synaptics wiki. None of the (WW) are related to your video card.
    And every card that has 2 or more output ports show up as "two cards". You also don't need to specify the pci port in xorg.conf. edit: this is the general case with laptops, might be different for desktops.
    When I do lspci -v I get:

  • Generating UDT from command line or C# code

    Hi,
    I want to write an application which is capable of generating UDTs and hence use the newly generated UDTs in C#. Right at the moment I can only generate the classes via the wizard in Visual Studio ("Generate Custom Class.."), but i know that e.g. for C++ it is possible to generate these types from command line - with OTT.
    I appreciate any help, finding a way to automatically generate the user defined types in C# (without manually mapping it).

    Hi Sathish,
    did you find a solution for this? I am looking for the same thing. I want to write a program(perl, batch script, etc.) which could automatically convert pdf to excel without any manual intervention.
    I have the acrobat javascript which could achieve this, but it can only be executed in arobat consolt.  I need it to be able to get executed in a script to automate the processing.
    thanks

    User, which jdev version do you use?
    I don't think you can do this. You can only create an ant build.xml from the project inside jdev.
    You can use ojdeploy to build the project.  This is the only method which will also make the necessary changes to the descriptors.

  • Running FlexUnit tests from command line

    Sorry if that has been posted before: I searched best I could and nothing came up.
    I am interested in building and running my unit tests from the command line so we can add it to a nightly build process.
    I am *very* new to all this: basically I picked up Adobe Flash Builder 4 a month ago and I have done *everything* inside that IDE: writing code, building, testing, running.
    I looked into at least how to build something from the command line, I found this:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashbuilder/using/WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-59108b2e1215eb9d5e4-8000 .html
    Can't get past this error:
    Buildfile: /Users/dbanks/build_test.xml
    BUILD FAILED
    Target "FlexUnitApplication" does not exist in the project "null".
    Total time: 0 seconds
    Adobe Flash Builder 4:
    An error has occurred. See the log file
    /Users/dbanks/Documents/Adobe Flash Builder 4/.metadata/.log.
    Plus, even if I got this going, I am just building the swf.  I also want to run it and capture the output in some meaningful way that can be read/evaluated/acted on.
    FWIW, the script/xml I am using to try to build:
    build_test.xml:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <project default="main">
        <target name="main">
            <fb.exportReleaseBuild project="NightclubMogul" />
        </target>
    </project>
    execute_build_test.sh:
    WORKSPACE="$HOME/Documents/AdobeFlashBuilder4"
    # works with either FlashBuilder.app or Eclipse.app
    "/Applications/AdobeFlashBuilder4" \
        --launcher.suppressErrors   \
        -noSplash   \
        -application org.eclipse.ant.core.antRunner   \
        -data "$WORKSPACE"    \
        -file "/Users/dbanks/build_test.xml" FlexUnitApplication
    I am not clear what in here is actually supposed to point to where my project lives: it's off in some directory somewhere.  I see that I am pointing to a workspace (Documents/AdobeFlashBuilder4) but when I poke around in there I don't see anything connecting back to the directories where the code lives.
    Any help would be great: getting the tests to build from command line, then getting them to run.

    C:\>sqlplus @myscript
    That would be the easiest variation
    C:\>sqlplus user/passwd@tns_alias @myscript
    would be an often used variation
    And then there is of course the version with parameter passing:
    C:\>sqlplus user/passwd@tns_alias @myscript param1 ... paramx
    Dunno about MSBuild

  • How to programatically start j2ee application/service  from command line

    Hi all
    We have developed a j2ee application and deployed  the .ear file on SAP J2EE (Netweaver'04) engine.
    We are able to successfully start/stop the application from Visual administrator -> Deploy -> Service -> Start application (or) Stop application.
    We need to start and stop the same application programatically or via command line instead of doing it from VA.  Any thoughts from anyone on how to do it ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards

    The cammands are there in the respective folders, these are just the batch files / .sh scripts that can be run from command line.
    /usr/sap/<instance>JC<client>/j2ee/admin
    go.sh and go.bat can run either on command line
    j2ee/configtool
    configtool.sh / configtool.bat
    similarly for other smaller utilities. For the main server, the related commands are in exe directory of sapmnt
    /sapmnt/<instance>/exe

  • SQL Developer BRIDGE command from command line on Windows environment

    Is it possible to call SQL Developer BRIDGE command from command line on Windows environment?

    Hi <please supply your name>,
    SQL Developer Worksheet is not available from the command line.
    The BRIDGE command is only supported in the Worksheet.
    Its an interesting idea though. Are you trying to script data move from a non Oracle database to an Oracle database using the BRIDGE command?
    The BRIDGE command was initially done to allow a simple data move from a non Oracle database to Oracle. We then build the "Copy to Oracle" feature out of it.
    http://dermotoneill.blogspot.com/2010/11/cross-database-bridge-statement.html
    http://dermotoneill.blogspot.com/2010/11/copy-to-oracle.html
    Since the BRIDGE command references connection names, which have to be defined in UI of SQL Developer any solution to run this on the command line would have to work this out.
    There are number of ways you can do this without using the BRIDGE command.
    1) Perform a capture/convert of your non Oracle database and then generate the "offline" data move scripts.
    Theses scripts use SQL*Loader and your non Oracle database tool (Ex: Sybase BCP).
    These are run from the command line and can be modified ....
    2) Use a database link from your Oracle database to your non Oracle database and reference /query the data that way.
    I would interested to hear your thoughts.
    Regards,
    Dermot

  • Disable or quiet UAC without reboot from command line

    I need to be able Disable or quiet UAC without reboot from command line without user confirmation as local system
    We use LANDesk and I want to add a part of the script to install turning off or quieting UAC, run install and them turn UAC on
    Not all users are Admins so I can run as current logged on user but if admin rights are not need I can run a pre install task as local user run the
    install task then run a post install task to turn it on
    It doesn’t have to be a command line it can be an app Ii position on each machine then call if it can run silently

    Hi,
    Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet forums.
    To disable UAC, you can take either of the following methods:
    1.
    If you use Group Policy to manage UAC, you can edit the local security policy to control this:
    1)
    From the Start search bar, type "Local Security Policy"
    2)
    Accept the elevation prompt
    3)
    From the snap-in, select Security Settings -> Local Policy -> Security Options
    4)
    Scroll down to the bottom, where you'll find nine different group policy settings for granular configuration of UAC.
    2.
    Use the following script to elevate the privilege in Windows Vista.
    Scripting Elevation on Vista
    3.
    You can also modify the registry through the following command line:
    REG ADD HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v EnableLUA /t REG_DWORD /d 0x0 /f
    Important caution:
    please backup your registry before modifying it, any incorrect modification can cause a unrecoverable damage.

  • Running Unit Test from test manager that run bat file from command line

    Hi ,
    I am trying to run Jsystem (java framewotk) from command line using runScenario.bat thru unit test that i associated to test in test manager.
    the idea is that when i ran the automated test  from MTM - it will run the the unit test that will run the appropriate test case in java.
    i wrote the code like this :
    using System;
    using Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UnitTesting;
    namespace UnitTestProject3
    [TestClass]
    public class UnitTest1
    [TestMethod]
    public void TestMethod1()
    try
    String command = "c:\\JSYSTEM\\runner\\runScenario.bat
    c:\\Users\\ryeshua\\Source\\Workspaces\\Auto1\\my-tests-project\\target\\classes scenarios\\feature1 RoeySetup.xml ";
    System.Diagnostics.ProcessStartInfo procStartInfo =
    new System.Diagnostics.ProcessStartInfo("cmd", "/c " + command);
    procStartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = true;
    procStartInfo.UseShellExecute = false;
    //procStartInfo.CreateNoWindow = true;
    System.Diagnostics.Process proc = new System.Diagnostics.Process();
    proc.StartInfo = procStartInfo;
    proc.Start();
    string result = proc.StandardOutput.ReadToEnd();
    Console.WriteLine(result);
    catch (Exception objException)
    // Log the exception
    and when i ran it from visual studio it worked perfect. and update  the Jsystem logs of the junit test in the jsystem/runner/log folder.
    but when i added it to associated test and ran it from MTM - it pass but it does not update  the logs in jsystem folder.
    the problem that i dont know what is not working. i cant see the output of it when i ran from mtm but can see when i ran from VS.
    i am using VS 2013 Pro with MTM 2013.
    please advice
    Roey

    Hi Roey,
    Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.
    Based on your issue, could you please tell me how you generate the log file under the jsystem folder?
    Generally, I know that when we run unit test from VS IDE, the file will be saved into the local machine. But when we run unit test from MTM, the unit test method will be run on the test agent machine, so the file will be saved into the test agent machine.
    Therefore, I suggest you could check if you did not see the updated logs file in jsystem folder on the test agent machine.
    In addition, I suggest you could try to copy this unit test project on this test agent machine and then run the unit test method using mstest.exe in command line and then check if you can update the logs file.

  • CMake behaves differently from within PKGBUILD and from command line

    Hi,
    I am currently struggling with an issue which I cannot find a solution. The problem is, I am trying to create a PKGBUILD for the CasADi code. The following is the PKGBUILD file written. My problem is the cmake configuration part. When the code is configured from the command line, without PKGBUILD, camke detects the -fopenmp flag for C and C++ compilers. For exactly the same compilers, cmake detects openmp for C compiler but fails to do so for the C++ compiler, when configuration is done from within the PKGBUILD file using makepkg.
    My question is, why different behaviors? Any suggestions on what is wrong?

    With a little creativity, you can actually do all that from the command line with a single command. It'll look a little crazy, but it can be done.
    Whether the script exists on the local machine or not has zero to do with platform indpendence. You assumedly have to get the application onto the local machine, so including the script is not really an issue at all. However, you're talking about system independence, yet still wishing to run command line arguments? The two are mutually exclusive.

  • How to send report output to  two  detinations at a time from command line?

    Hi ,
    how to send my report to two detinations at a time from command line i.e FILE and Mail ?
    i created batchfile in that i mentioned one line for file(DESTYPE=FILE) perpose and another line for mail perpose(DESTYPE=Mail).i don't want to mention to lines.
    i want to send my report out put two destinations at a time insted of running two times.
    thx in advance.....

    hello,
    did you try to use distribution for that ? check out the reports distribution facilities available in 6i.

  • Error while running a Discoverer Workbook with parameter from command line

    I am trying to run a discoverer report from command line and export the results in xls on to my local machine. I could do it fine for a simple workbook, but if I add a parameter(madatory) to the workbook and run it from command line specifying the parameter value I wanted to run the report for, I do not get any results. Here is the command line I am using.
    dis51usr.exe /connect user/password@database /apps_user /apps_responsibility "System Administrator" /eul EUL_US /open C:\Disco\Test.DIS /sheet Testsheet /parameter Period Jan-07 /export xls C:\Disco\X.xls /batch
    Parameter value is entered in correct format(Jan-07).
    When I removed /batch from this to see if I get any error, Discoverer Desktop opened up, logged in and gets terminated saying 'Oracle Discoverer Desktop has encountered a problem and need to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.'
    Did anybody come across this issue before?

    Hello,
    If you have a few minutes, Windows is also aborting for me:
    the differences are, my situation is:
    a) am running the command line from a .bat file
    b) am NOT running with parms, want the discoverer query to come up for the user
    c) am running a query from the database
    i am signing in as myself BUT running a query that was created by a generic user called SREG
    c) if i run the .bat file from Windows Explorer, the query opens fine
    d) if i execute the .bat file from within Microsoft Access using the shell command,
    the query opens and then aborts RIGHT BEFORE the parm screen would display
    e) btw, if i modify the .bat file, to run a query from MY database signon, then (d) - running .bat file
    from vb using SHELL command works
    Do you have a ideas as to why (d) does not work? I would be very grateful for your time, tx, sandra
    this is what i posted yesterday, tx: Re: Running Discoverer command line
