Generating email content through IDS

Hi,
We are at the early stages of a project involving Documaker Server and IDS. We already have a SOA setup in place and the tandem Documaker / IDS is already generating PDF documents on demand when requested by an in-house web service.
We want to build another service that would call on IDS to generate content that could be used to create the body of an email message. We do not want to generate a PDF to be attached to an email, we want to generate the actual content of the message. The Documaker / IDS generated content would be returned to the calling service, same as we currently do with the PDF files.
From what I gathered, I seem to have 3 options: HTML, RTF and EPT. I'm tempted to discard the EPT print driver as it seems to expect to handle the actual emailling of the message, and that is not what we want.
Has anyone built a similar service? Any recommendations, hints, tips ?

Please verify... you want to create the content for the email message, but not generate the actual email? Or you want to generate the email, but not delivery it? If you generate either, where would you want to 'place it' before you picked it up for delivery via some other email process.
And...if that is correct, why not just let Documaker deliver the email?

so for example

the graphical mapper itself won't i think but when you test the xsl it will still procedure a html document, we use it too to generate the email body contents

Can't locate email content? All of a sudden my email content has disappeared from inside MacMail? The actual emails are coming through but I am unable to view them as the area is just left blank! Nothing has been done to have changed this?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

Reading email contents from a program

Hello,
I need to read an email content from a program, to attach it to an CRM activity. Does anybody know if there is a function for this? I will have the email data (Object id, folder, type, etc) available.

My Requirement is :
1)I got a requirement to read Bounce back mails in the CRM System .My present scenario is that once a campaign is executed , the mails which get bounce back are returned to outlook location.
2)The required scenario demands that, to read email IDs which get Bounce back and need to be compared with Email Ids in the Target group , which is assigned to the campaign and update the 'COunter' field which is assigned to the E-mails in the Master Data.
3)Is there any machanism to read the BOunce-Back mails in CRM System itself (or) It should be read from outlook location where the mails are returned presently, so that COUNTER which is tied up with the E-mails in Master Data can automatically updated.
4) Is there any possibility to read the Mails in the Outlook location with Mail IDs in the CRM system.
I have gone through Mr Thomas article and i think it works for my requirement but i dont know how to proceed further to read bounce back mails when a campaign is executed in CRM System.
Can any one guide me how to solve this problem .

I can no longer read Japanese email content

Email content from Japanese friends is no longer displaying correctly. When I change the character encoding in the 'view' menu, it changes the display of the data in the subject list only. Help!

The view menu you are referring to is an extension of your web browser and is not supported directly through Verizon. I did find a link below that might provide some insight to your situation.

First, AVCHD isn't just "one" clip, it splits the video & audio into several files each per clip, typically with randomly generated names. The only way they "play" correctly is if the software doing so is able to read from the data file ...in a different folder ... the information that X clip is actually A, B, D, #@, and 456 video clips and TR, #r54, and ert$%4 audio clips. The next "clip" is ... and on and on. So both rapid access to the video files AND that database file are necessary to play the files back, or do anything else with them.
VLC is a fairly decent but simple playback tool. It's nowhere near as complicated nor demanding in its "relationship" with those clips as an NLE like PrPro, which will be trying to do more reading & writing.
Further, many of the preferences in PrPro are natively set so that it writes project, cache, preview, & database files next to the footage. So ... if it doesn't have both a fast enough connection with the data AND space for putting all of it's own stuff there, it tells you it can't work the file.
Therefore ... the need to have the complete data from the card in the exact same folder structure it was in ON the card copied to a "local" hard drive.

Strange email content received when test email mailer on RedHat 3 -- HELP

Please have a look at the two email contents below, they are sent by java mailer when I click the test mailer button in workflow manager, and they are actually the same message, but one of which has full content, the other doesn't seem to like picking up the &SUBJET and &BODY.
PS: This is a test mailer action (CLICK ON TEST MAILER BUTTON WITHIN WF MANAGER), I do not need to specify any values for the email message content, the &SUBJECT and &BODY are not attributes in my worflow processes.

Hi Platomey, I have the same problem with my Blackberry 9360 and so do several others who have posted on this site since around February 2012, but so far no answer from anyone on how to fix it. I tried uninstalling & re-installing Hotmail but it made no difference. My service supplier is Orange but I've seen the same problem on a Vodaphone forum, so it doesn't seem to be to do with the service. Help us someone please!

Generate Email on Infotype Changes

Dear Guru's,
I have an issue in generating Email when some changes are done in the HR master. I have done it through Dynamic action and it is working fine. But my problem is that I dont want to generate a message when I perform an Hiring Action as I have done the Dynamic Action configuration for all the Infotypes and I have activated the Feature M0001 also. So when I perform an Action of Hiring I am getting atleast 15 mails.
So my issue now can I do some configuration in feature M0001 on the basis of T code that when an action is performed through PA40 mails will not be generated.
When I was reading the documentation for feature M0001, I found that in the feature return atributes 3 attributes as Name1, name2 and name3. Can any one help me as what is the return value these attributes.

        Organizational Assignment infotype (0001), then the feature
        specified is read.
        You can define distribution lists and recipients in
        this feature. The standard SAP system contains the
        feature RCIEV, which can be used as an example.
NAME2 - If the infotype that triggers the mail is the
        Organizational Assignment infotype (0001),
        then the feature specified will be read
        using the new data contained in infotype 0001. New data
        means data contained in an infotype record for infotype
        0001 that has been changed after the mail was sent. You
        can define a distribution list and a recipient in this
feature.
        The standard SAP system contains the feature RCNEW,
        which can be used as an example.

Managing TIFF and email content?

Hi, Has anyone developed/used an application in 9iFS which need to upload email content and also TIFF files from scanned documents? I need to propose a framework for handling this data , searching it, and displaying it.
Any ideas amongst the iFS Gurus?

I can't answer your Thunderbird "configuration" questions, because I'm in the living room, using the crap Vista laptop, on which I plan to install Thunderbird, and then take Windoze Mail out in the street and drive over it a few times.. I'll get back to you one way or the other, and let you know if your instructions solved the problem, or not..
I don't understand why Thunderbird "out of the box", so to speak, simply doesn't forward HTML emails with embedded graphics, (like Outlook Excess, and Winblows Mail do).. without having to go through those steps. I personally HATE HTML email, but over the years, it's become more and more prevelant.. so it's a problem I must fix..

Generating email from SAP

Hi Experts,
I am facing some issues while sending an email from SAP GUI 720 to the external email destination.
This problem is reported by one of our customers.
Customer is trying to generate a email from SAP. As apart of body of mail he is generating the contents which
contains single/double quotes by typing it from MS word.If that content having quotes is passed as body of mail ,the email
generated from SAP is successful but the content was replaced with "#" instead of single /double quotes.
NOTE:If we use the contents that was typed from vi editor or textpad, and passing it as body of mail. Single quote
and double quotes works fine and can also view the entire body of mail .
I would like to know the following points to analyze this problem:
1. Is it the known issue? Is anyone has faced the same problem?
2.As per my understanding, when we send email for SAP UI ,the request gets queued up and then sent to the SAP gateway.
SAP gateway then sends it to the external email destination.
Is there any way to check the what is the data sent to SAP gateway?
I tried to check the Gateway traces but it does not log any data related to the email body message.
3. Whether the data will get logged in SAP log files?If yes, what is the location?
4. Whether we need to explicitely enable the SAP logs?
Looking for some inputs from experts.

Chinese email content get corrupted in hotmail

my requirement is to read the chinese html in a jsp page and send as email to user.when i read this html and send mail to yahoo,indiatimes,or rediffmail users then no problem comes.its not get corrupted,but when i send this mail to hotmail users or cpanel users its email content get corrupted.
Any idea to solve this issues.it is very urgent

Not all emails getting through

I have my email set up so that I can access it via:
MS Outlook on a PC using POP
The VirginMedia web page, which uses GoogleMail
My Blackberry Curve 9320 (Pushed email)
I set up the email on my blackberry and I'm getting emails coming through. However if the PC downloads the emails first then they do not get pushed to my Blackberry.
As per instructions I went into Outlook and set up the mail account so that it did not delete emails from the server for 10 days. However I suspect that this setting does not work with VirginMedia / GoogleMail.
This is what I suspect is happening.... When Outlook downloads the emails the messages are removed from the "Inbox" and placed in an archived folder. This is certainly what it looks like on the webpage. The Blackberry does not see them as they are no longer in the "inbox".
There is a setting on the setup pages for VirginMedia email webpage that gives the option of
When messages are accessed by POP :
Archive VirginMedia mail's copy (my current setting)
Delete Virginmedia mail's copy
Keep Virginmedia mail's copy in the inbox
Mark Virginmedia mail's copy as read
The archive setting is causing me my current problem. The delete option would also give me the same problem and I would lose the email from the webpage app.
I am therefore left with keeping it in the inbox or marking it as read.
I really need to know how the Blackberry would behave in either of these situations.
If I leave the messages in the inbox then I presume that the Blackberry will keep trying to push them. I also think that Outlook will see them as a new message and download them again.
If I mark them as read then will the Blackberry still see them? I think Outlook will ignore the emails it has downloaded.
Both of these options would cause all emails to remain in the inbox on the webpage app, but I think I can live with that.
Someone must have had the same problem. I did a scan of the internet and found nothing. Perhaps I was using the wong search works.
Has anyone used the setup that I have? What settings do you use?

You need to leave the messages in the Inbox. RIM will push the message once to your device, and the message will be flagged as pushed by RIM and not pushed again. Outlook will download the message once.

i have to send Email Notifications through workflow for all Approved and Rejected Orders to the user who have submitted the order for approval.how could it be done.please send ur solutions.

Hi,
An option would be use Oracle Alert. Create an event based alert on the table where you have order approvals or rejections. This alert will be raised after inserting or updating this table. Create an action linked to this alert, and choose message as action type.
This setup can be done under Alert Manager Responsibility.
