Generating partner profile for File to Idoc(CREMAS) scenario.

Dear friend,
Completed all the steps in SLD, IR and ID.
I do not know how to create Partner profile and I skipped this step.
While testing I got the error "Unable to convert sender service  to an ALE logical system".
I think i got this error because I have not created partner profile.
Could anybody tell step by step process of creating partner profile including logical system names( Sender and Receiver)?
I have seen many blogs and i couldn't get clear picture on how to generate partner profile.
My sender system is XI server and receiver is R/3.
I have created RFC destination, Port also.
Thanks in Advance
Chiru

generally u create partner profiles using transaction WE20.
SAP Menu -> Tools -> IDoc Interface/ALE -> Administration -> Runtime Settings -> Partner Agreement (WE20).

  • Partner Profile for file to IDOC scenario

    Hi experts,
I am doing file to Idoc scenario. I did the ALE configuration steps between XI and r/3. For sender (ThirdParty) system, I defined Business system. While defining partner profiles in WE20 I got confused, whether to Give XI logical system Name or Third party logical system name. Please clarify..........
    Thanks
    Manoj

    Hi,
    >>I defined Business system. While defining partner profiles in WE20 I got confused, whether to Give XI logical system Name or Third party logical system name. Please clarify..........
in most cases you will only use one logical system in WE20
this will be XI's logical system - and you can route all the traffic
via this logicail system - this is the most popular case
for more about IDOCs and XI have a look at my book:

  • What is the difference between generate partner profile and creat partner

What is the difference between generate partner profile and creat partner profile ?

Create Partner ProfilesAlthough partner profiles are usually created automatically, because of the unusual inbound and outbound profiles needed on the same system, the manual generation of certain profiles is required.
The following subsections describe the partner profile settings for the standard client (assumed here to be ALExxxCyyy), as well as for the corresponding dummy client (assumed to be DUMxxxCyyy). The dummy client partner profiles should have been generated by the automatic generation process completed previously. Nevertheless, these should be checked to ensure that all profiles exist.
    Generation of Partner Profiles
The following messages should be added to the 4xx-ORDR model for ALExxxCyyy to DUMxxxCyyy on the reference client:
    • ORDERS
    • ORDCHG
    • ZINVRV
    • ORDRSP
    • INVOIC
    • FIDCMT
    • The partner profiles should first be generated using the standard auto-generation procedure on the reference client (for SYNCH messages to be created).
    • This model should now be distributed to the both ALExxxCyyy and DUMxxxCyyy.
    • The partner profiles should now be generated on the client being configured (i.e. yyy) using the auto-generation procedure defined in the standard ALE configuration procedures.
Generate partner profiles for sending system. (Can only do this if at least 1 message type exists against the sending system's LS). This automatically generates the port if the LS and RFC name are the same.
    generate partner profiles tcode BD82
    creating partner profiles tcode WE20
 There are two methods for maintaining the partner profile:
     Maintain partner profile manually:
To navigate to the partner profile in the sender system, choose Partner profile -> Partner type of Logical System and click on the required Target system. Under Outbound parameters, choose the Create outbound parameters icon, and enter the values for the outbound parameters according to the slide Sender: Partner Profile (outbound).
To navigate to the partner profile in the sender system, choose Partner profile -> Partner type of Logical System and click on the required Sending system. Under Inbound parameters, choose the Create inbound parameters icon and enter the values for the inbound parameters according to the slide Sender: Partner Profile (inbound).
     Generate partner profile:
Prerequisite: The current distribution model is distributed to all participating systems.
In the sender system, choose: Generate Partner Profile, then check the result in the partner profile (outbound)
In the sender system, choose: Generate Partner Profile, then check the result in the partner profile (inbound)

  • Partner Profile for IDOC - configuration

    Hi..
I have an inbound IDOC TPSSHT01, which has been extended by adding a Z segment.. But I keep getting an error message.. The IDOC is created with status 56 and the message says "No inbound profile found".. I have configured the Inbound profile to include the message type 'SHIP' in WE20 and also added the message type in WE57 and WE82... Do i need to do any further settings?
    Thanks
    Rishi

    hI,
Please use transaction code WE20 to generate inbound partner profile
Goto WE20 transaction of the client 200 where you are posting the idoc and maintain the partner profile for the inbound type for the idoc type and the corresponding message type of SHIP. This is because you would have maintained it as the outbound parameter from client 100. But at the receiver end also you need to configure the same.
Status 56 comes up when the partner profile for the idoc type is not maintained. Once its maintained, the idocs which you post will go into 53 if its successfully processed and to 51 if its failing due to any inbound processing program validation

  • Idoc setup::Partner profile for Logical system

    HI All,
I am using Idocs to transmit my invoice details from ECC to PI, but every time I do this for a new customer I have to setup a partner profile for the customer whose invoice is to be sent. I setup the partner profile using WE20, I setup the partner profile for partner type KU(Customer) in the we20,
Is there any way we can setup partner profile for LS(Logical system) in we20 & I don't have to setup partner profile for each & every customer for which Idoc is to be generated.
Please provide some useful information/help to handle this business scenario.

  • Partner profile for INBOUND IDOC

    Dear experts,
Need your help to define partner profile for inbound idoc to R/3 system. There is a third party (Non SAP) based application from which idocs need to be sent to the R/3 system. There is no need to send an outbound idoc from the R/3 system. Can some one please suggest what are the steps to be taken  to b configure the partner profile  in the R/3 system for the inbound idoc?
    Thanks,
    Priyanka

    Hi
This is not the right location to post this question.
You got to post this query in Data transfers section of SDN ABAP Development forums
    Now regarding your question,
You need to create a Logical System with the help of the transaction SALE.
Assign the created LS to the client with the help of same transaction
Go to WE20 and create the partner with the same Logical System name
Now..as you are recieving the Inbound Idoc from external Non-SAP System, you need to maintain the message type in the Inbound Parameters by clicking on ADD Icon over there.
Before doing the above step, you got to create the connection between SAP and Non-SAP System.
Use transaction SM59 to do this. Type of connection would be R/3 I guess
    Thanks
    Hope it helps.

  • Partner profile for message type.

    Dear All,
I am using bapi in lsmw for data conversion.
I am getting error in 13th step of lsmw, ie, when I execute Start Idoc Generation, it's saying,
Create a partner profile for message type - MATERIALVALUATION_PRICECHANGE.
I already created a partner profile and assigned in the initial screen of lsmw.
Kindly let me know where I am missing.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Ranjan

See if any of the follwing helps:
    1. The port used in the partner profile should be a file port, not tRFC.
    2. The checkbox 'Unicode Format' for the port LSMW in WE21 should remain unchecked.

  • Alert Configuration for File to IDoc scenario

    I have followed Alerts : Step-by-Step /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/06/28/xipi-faq-frequently-asked-questions
and configured Alerts for file to IDoc scenario.
But the problem is, I did not notice any alerts being generated. I could notice the IDocs being posted to destination system. So I was going through Alerts-Troubleshoute Guide. In intension to maintain monitoring level, I clicked Configuration tab. But I did not notice my sender and receiver system there to maintain.
Can any body help me to detail out the procedure to add sender and receiver systems to maintain the monitoring level?
    Regards,
    Suraj Kumar

    hi Suraj,
WHich SP version are you on??
If you are on Sp14 or above, then unfortunately, Michal's Trouble Shooting for Alerts will not help.
From SP14 onwards, activation of end to end monitoring is not needed for Alerting. Refer to this note <b>870232</b> for this info.
Next, to test if your Alerts have been defined correctly, go to SE38. In the program , type RSALERTTEST and then click on EXECUTE button ( F8 ). In the next window, it will ask you for your ALERTCATEGORY. Just give the name of your ALERT CATEGORY and click EXECUTE.
If you have configured your alerts correctly, you will receive a message that tells ALERT IS GENERATED and will give the ALERT ID.
Now, go to your Run TIme workbench and then select ALERT INBOX and see if you have got the ALERT message in your ALERT INBOX.
If this is working fine, then the last step, implement the note 913858.

  • EDI: partner profile for shipping point or plant

I want to issue idocs for delivery notes based on shipping point or plant, not shipto party as is usual.
How can I go about this?
It looks like I need to create a new partner type. Or can I use logical systems?
If logical system is used, then how do I make the connection document->LS?
The external system uses the RCVPRN to determine which warehouse to handle the delivery for.
I am changing the RCVPRN in a user exit now, but this still requires creating/ changing all partner profiles for shipto parties.
    Any ideas? previous experiences?
    Thanks,
    phillip

    Hi Phillip,
it looks like I need to create a new partner type. Or can I use logical systems?
    > Yes, you can use LS
If logical system is used, then how do I make the connection document->LS?
    > You can use FM: MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE to send the outbound IDOC...

  • Just one partner profile for SAP XI?!

    Hi,
well i have some thoughts concerning configuring the partner profile on sender side.
I have different systems to which e.g. IDocs will be send to. Therefore i was thinking to set one partner profile for each connected system.
But on the other hand it is also possible to just configure one partner profile, e.g. called SAP XI, and seperate the different IDocs inside this partner profile because of different Message-Types of the Outb-parameters, and inside this because of the IDoc-Type.
So what is the most propriate way to solve this, is there a suggestion by SAP?!
    thx in advance, Jens

    Hey guys,
Just thought I'd add my experiences here.
In one of our implementations we created partner profiles with respect to XI. We had multiple source systems , but the Target ECC team was like, we do not care who sends the data to XI, as far as we are concerned we get data from XI. So we create only one partner profile. We agreed to this and so all Idoc's posting from XI had the XI as the sender partner name. The project went into production and things were fine.
Then comes the next release. And what do we realise, that the same Idoc will not be posted from XI but for different source systems with different formats. The Inbound processing for the idoc was also being changed stating that Idoc from Source system A  needs to be processed with this T code and Idoc's from System B with this code. reason was different bsuiness rules across different geographies.
Now, at this juncture we realised in vain that it would have been better had we maintained the partner profiles with respect to the End Systems . having it with respect to XI caused issues in the fact that we are unableto trace out which Idoc belonged to which system.
Since, then we always recommend all partner profiles with respect to End Systems and not with respect to XI. Helps the business also understand how many idoc's were posted for which source system and so on.
Just my 2 cents and experience here. Would love to heard more on this topic as well.

  • Partner Profile problem while creating IDOC

    hi!
I have attached the Partner Profile for the Generated model by assigning the Created Sender, Receiver and message Type  and Distributed too.
While checking the attached partner using the T.code WE20 the Message Type is differing from what i have given in the model. its taking SYNCH and the Basic Type as SYNCHRON  but the receiver port has been attached correctly.
whats the mistake i have done
    Regards
    Kv

    Hello Gautam,
I am 100% sure about this (anyways FYI i am in ECC5.0). If you debug the BD64 transaction, you will find that it uses some FM (i donot have the SAP system with me so cannot give you the name of the FM) to update table EDP13 directly.
once you generate the partner profile then SYNCH message will automatically be added in partner profile
Then what is the use of adding SYNCH message? In fact the SYNCH message has to be added manually in WE20 & is used by the partner profile generation program to get the port details.
The FMs which SAP uses are: MODEL_ADD_MESSAGE_TYPE_LINK & EDI_AGREE_OUT_MESSTYPE_INSERT. You can refer to the program RBDCUS15.
