Generation Result window hang

Dear all,
my OWB 9.0.2.0.0 runs on a Windows 2000 with an Oracle 9.0.1.0.0 database.
I succesfully generate a mapping and run an update session. If I check the Oracle tables everything is fine (update was succesful), but if I want to close the Generation Result window it hangs ? The only thing I can do, is to stop the task with the Windows Taskmanager, which also close the OWB.
Any suggestions, thanks in advance.

This seems to be a bug happening sporadically in the version 9.0.3.66 version and earlier. Please upgrade to a newer version (9.0.3.35 should be fine) or to the latest and greatest, just released 9.0.4.

Dreamweaver CS5.5 crashes when saving link checker report in Results Window

Select Top level of site. Right click. Select:Check Links > Entire Local Site.
Report completes and displays in Results Window.
Can scroll through the onscreen report and view Broken Links, External Links, and Orphan Files.
However, when try to save, Dreamweaver crashes.
Multiple users on my team with their own instances of Dreamweaver have experienced the same result.
Have tried recreating preferences folder, rebooting, etc. etc.
Any other ideas as how to proceed?

Exactly the same problem here. Started using Find and Replace on a html file which loads 2 css and 2 js files. Find and replace slows the program and finally it hangs. Restarting (and loosing all your prev work) worked a couple of times and then DW hangs when starting up. I couldn't do anything anymore.
The solution, for me, was starting DW and immediately pressing the shift key. In that way DW opens clean, without the prev files.
Up and running again.

Add-on window hangs when I try to click any extension's options.

I open the Add-on's window. I go to Extensions. I highlight one and get the Options/Enable/Disable buttons. As soon as I hit any button, the Add-on window hangs/freezes. I have tried going to Safe Mode, disabling all extensions checked, and then the extensions themselves disabled one by one in the Add-on window, then re-enabling one extension at a time. No matter what Extension it is, I get the same result, so I don't think it is a problem with the Extensions themselves. Thank you for any advice.

Is it possible to select multiple files on the W8.1U1's SEARCH RESULTS window page? For instance, if 10 CPP files are found by the seraching mechanism, can I select all 10 files and have them open in Visual Studio at once?

Date format in Query Result Window

In recent versions on OSD (trying with V3.2.20.09 Build MAIN-09.87) I've been unable to change the date format for results shown in the query results window via the NLS settings in Preferences, it's the same for other users on v3 in my area. Can anyone advice on whether anything can be done to resolve this issue or is there a bug in recent additions of OSD
Frustrating having a result show as 01-DEC-12 and I don't know whether it's 01-DEC-2012 or our default date of 01-DEC-4712 without having to hard code a to_char in my sql which I don't want to be doing all the time to analyse my results

Thanks, looks like it's permission, tried on a different database supposed to be the same and it works when I update the preferences or run the alter session statement. Call to my admins to get on the case

I have used Image Capture to scan images/documents and then saved them as either PDFs or PNG files. For some reason, just this past week Image Capture will no longer save the file. It scans, and the Scan Results window pops up, but it won't save file.

The file name has no special character in it, just letters and no spaces.
I have done this in the past and it has worked, but now it will not.
I have not upgraded any software, that I am aware of.
After scanning, the Image Capture pops up the Scan Results with the file name in the window, but neither the Scan Results nor the Image Capture window responds to inputs. The Image Capture window is frozen, with only the "Overview" and "Cancel" buttons active (but non-responsive).
Is this a software issue or a scanner hardware issue? I am using a HP Photosmart C6200 series printer/scanner on a network using a Time Capsule airport.

I had the same problem.
Got a 90% fix. Apparently the Mavericks preferences won't work with Yosemite, so I just deleted the Image Capture preferences.
Unfortunately, the "Scan to" folder seems to be permanently set to the Pictures folder.
1. Quit Image Capture
2. Go to Finder > Go > Home, which opens up your home folder (named after your user name)
3. Open Library > Preferences > com.apple.ImageCapture.plist - Drag this file to the Trash
4. Start "Image Capture", click "Details" and change all your settings as you prefer
5. Quit and restart "Image Capture". Notice it remembers all your settings except "Scan to" folder. It insists on saving to "Pictures".
That's as far as I was successful. I tried changing the "Scan to" folder to "Desktop", but on launch, Image Capture always sets it back to "Pictures".
This is what I tried:
6. Download and install "Pref Setter" from http://www.nightproductions.net/prefsetter.html
7. Quit "Image Capture". Right-click on "com.apple.ImageCapture.plist" and open with Pref Setter.
8. Search for "Pictures", which finds "~/Pictures" (the tilde character at the start means your home directory).
9. Double-click on "~/Pictures" and change it to the folder you prefer. I like "~/Desktop"
10. Choose File > Save then Quit from Pref Setter. Note that re-opening the plist file still shows "~/Desktop"
11. Start up "Image Capture" -- on startup, "Image Capture" sets "Scan to" folder to "Pictures"
I consider this a bug.

Gnome-Do result window doesn't appear

Hi, I've just finished my first Arch installation and there's one last hiccup that's bugging me.
Whenever I have Metacity composite turned on, the result window in Gnome Do doesn't show up when I press the down arrow, as it should. Even if I mark "Always show results window", the first time I open Do, the results window show up, but from the second on, no luck.
If I disable composite everything works fine, but it's not because of the classic theme, as I've tried using it with composite on, but the same thing happens. Anyone got this behavior or knows how to fix it?

I had Compiz installed and tried it a little bit, but it wasn't working right (no window borders for some reason), and since I had no need for it besides making Gnome Do look better, seemed a bit like overkill so I uninstalled it. I never noticed this bug while I was trying it on... I'll try reinstalling it and making it work right and post back my results.

Using Compiz solved the problem, but the OS got a bit slower, even when I disabled pretty much everything I could... nothing unbearable, but noticeable. Besides, the Emerald themes aren't very nice...

Show properties in the Search Result window

Hello all,
I would like to add few properties in the Search Result window such that the corresponding values are visible at a glance rather than checking the same in the respective Details wondow.
Example: Ia have created new Properties like ReqNo, ReqDate... and would like them to appear in the Search Result window.
Please help me solve this.
Im also reading the UI topic given in help.sap.com but am unable to find the answer.

Hi Ritu,
Go to KM Config > Content Management > User Interface > Settings > Layout Set and put "Search" in the filter. You should see "SearchResultLayoutSet" and this is the Layout Set that is used to display Search Results. Within the Collection Renderer there is Displayed Properties, this is what you need to focus on.
There are some other threads and documents associated with your question here on SDN. If you do a search for "SearchResultLayoutSet" in the SDN search you should get enough information to achieve your objective.

Hiding SQL statement in Query Result Window

Hi everyone,
Is it possible to hide the SQL statement from a query result window? This can usually be done by click the orange triangle that is positioned to the left of the SQL string box (to expand and collapse it). The System Queries have this box collapsed per default, is it possible to have this setup as default for all queries, including the custom? If so, please let me know where this can be done.

You should do this only with SDK programming - dont allow to show the syntax. The next, but problematic way, is the code you have do inside stored procedure and call only this sp inside the query generator window - if you have there some input parameters, you should use filling variables before executing sp and get it as input parameters to sp.

I am using firefox 6 and if I right click and click on open in new window both my windows hang

The machine becomes slow and firefox does not respond till I close the new window.
(I have not tried if it helps if I close the main window).
the new page does not load and if there is a tab that is loading on the old window it does not load as well.

Did you look in Customize (View > Toolbars > Customize) to see if your "New Tab" is there and should be moved to a toolbar.
You are so not up to date with Firefox that you might as well stay with what you have until it breaks. Make sure you maintain backups of your profile and all personal data to external media, preferably an external hard drive.

ITunes on Windows hangs when in ringtone editor

iTunes on Windows hangs when in ringtone editor. I get this quite often when editing a ringtone and it hangs for 1+ minutes (had it come back after 1 minute once but other times over 5 min and killed iTunes to get control again). This plus the iTunes + songs not letting you make a ringtone (they should have cought that in QA unless they skipped QA on this).

Try this
Go into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTUnes, Apple mobile device service, apple application support. Then go out and redownload and reinstall iTunes and try again.

Date Format in Visual Studio Query Result Window

Most vendor tools let you change the date format to show datetime in its query results window.
But .NET does not have this.
The ability to change this should be in located in Tools|Options but its not there.
Can it be added in the next release?
ALTER SESSION SET NLS_DATE_FORMAT = 'DD-MON-RR HH:MI:SS' does not work. btw.
.NET and/or ODT over-rides it.

Why would you expect Microsoft to write stuff for an Oracle plugin?! Why on earth would you want to see anything other than the actual raw data that YOU requested in the results of a query? Surely formating/displaying a datetime is a presentation layer thing not a database layer thing! If you're really that bothered re-write your SQL till you get what you want.

Some reports are handled by the PYUGEN engine as Magnetic reports.
These are old fashion reports to generate Magnetic files, like BACS EDI files etc..

If you see the above, there are 3 formulas defined for generating this report - Header, Body & Footer.
All are called in a sequence by the PYUGEN process based on what you seed in pay_magnetic_blocks.
All the logic is within these Fast formulas.
But as they're seeded there's nothing much you can do.

in my search results page, i need to add a link/button for every document searched. on click of this link/ button i need to capture the document/file url and insert it into a splist.
is it possible to customize the search results window?
