Generator +Alpha not rendering w/alpha???

Question

Is it me or what? A simple 1.2 second flash transition using:
1. one instance of lens flare from left to right
2. one instance of lens flare from right to left
when the two intesect at center of canvas, I blast the intensity to wipe the screen as a transition. then crank down intensity to give a fade out effect.
It works fine in motion then when exported to lossless+alpha 8 bit. when imported into FCS the alpha is not generated!!! is it a generator thing?
Im going nuts, just a simple flash transition.

Hey Ron,
Not to be a smarty-pants, but the Lens Flare generator doesn't produce a transparent alpha. If you add one to the Motion Canvas and press Shift+A to view the alpha, you'll see that it's solid. If you go check its blend mode in the Inspector, however, you'll see that it defaults to 'Add'. The black portion of the generator disappears in the Add blending math.
Just take the exported version and do the equivalent in FCP: set the clip's blend mode to Add.
