    http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=6E23DB10D9FC2B05E04400144FB7D2...
    Merci d'avance.

If you already have an Apple Time Capsule, AirPort Extreme or AirPort Express set up to provide a wireless network now, you can add an AirPort Express to "extend" the wireless signal for greater coverage.

  • Generating PWM signal using Signal Express

    Hi,
Would anyone help in generating PWM signal usinf Signal Express 2.5.1.   I am using a cDAQmx and connected NI 9472 to the slot number 6 to output the PWM signal. Also I have connected a NI 9421 to the slot number 5 to acquire the PWM signal, so that I could verify the signal.
So would you please let me know how could I generate a PWM signal using Signal Express without any LabVIEW Programming. Please help me out.

    HI Aamruth,
I atached a project, where you can see how to do it. I hope this helps.

  • Expanding signal strength to Express airtunes with 2nd AEBS

    Herr0,
I currently have my AEBS(n) tapped into the cable modem in my entertainment room. Problem is that it is on the very opposite side of the house and I want to stream airtunes to my Express stations located throughout the house (http://bp2.blogger.com/_SV-StZbqvdw/RgRPAyXhzJI/AAAAAAAAAGI/5dXJkX4Nz4k/s1600/ho menetwork.JPG)
I also have one in my garage.
The airtunes signal continutes to cut out in the pool room, so I know I need to extend the range of my WiFi, and I am thinking of buying a 2nd AEBS(n) and placing it in the kitchen to be a remote base station to help feed signal to the express stations in the kitchen and pool room.
Will this work? Will my speed suffer? Is their a cheaper way to extend the range of my wifi from my AEBS located in the media room?

Hello iSearched. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
Before buying another router, I suggest that you do a simple RF site survey using your MacBook Pro and the freeware iStumbler utility.
Use iStumbler's Inspector feature (select Edit > Inspector from iStumbler's menu) to determine the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) at different points around your house. Within the Inspector, note the values for "signal" & "noise" at these locations. Start with your MBP near the AEBSn, note the readings, and then, choose the locations where you would want to place the AirPort Express Base Station (AX).
SNR is the signal level (in dBm) minus the noise level (in dBm). For example, a signal level of -53dBm measured near an access point and typical noise level of -90dBm yields a SNR of 37dB, a healthy value for wireless LANs.
The SNR of an access point signal, measured at your MBP, decreases as range to the source increases because the applicable free space loss. An increase in RF interference from microwave ovens and cordless phones, which increases the noise level, also decreases SNR.
    SNR Guideline
    o 40dB+ SNR = Excellent signal
    o 25dB to 40dB SNR = Very good signal
    o 15dB to 25dB SNR = Low signal
    o 10dB to 15dB SNR = Very low signal
    o 5dB to 10dB SNR = No signal
If the SNR is 20dB+ at each of these locations, then you should be getting reasonable performance from your AirPort. If less, either try to locate the source of the Wi-Fi interference or try relocating either the base station or the wireless clients until they are within a 20dB SNR range. If neither of these help, then the next step would be to add another base station. However, you want to avoid setting up a Wireless Distribution System (WDS), if possible, because for each base station added, the overall bandwidth is cut in half.
    Btw, nice setup!

  • Boosting o2 Wifi signal with Airport Express

    Dear all,
I had read that one could boost our o2 Wifi signal with the Airport Express. I don't seem to be able to do it! Can anyone help.
    Detsky

It is possible if the wireless network is created by another AirPort Express (AX), an AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS), or a Time Capsule. Otherwise it is not possible.

  • Weak signal from Airport Express on extended network

I'm receiving only 2 bars from my Airport Express even with devices right next to it (see attached pics). I've reset the Airport Express and the extended network setup goes fine there's just a weak signal. If I take my devices to the modem router I get a full signal. Any ideas?
    iPhone 5S
    iPad Air 2
Cisco Linksys Dual band wireless N modem Gigabit router

The AirPort Express does work with virtually any wireless router for AirPlay or a remote printer.
Unfortunately, you must have missed the following clear statement in the product information for the AirPort Express regarding extending a network.
If you already have a wireless network in your home and want to extend its range, AirPort Express can help. Just place it in range of your primary base station — an AirPort Extreme, AirPort Time Capsule, or another AirPort Express

  • Can't get wireless signal from Airport Express

I recently bought an Airport Extreme and Airport Express. The base station is in my office which is separate from my house so I bought an antenna from Macwireless.com. I'm able to play iTunes thru the Express perfectly but there's no wireless signal coming from the Express to connect to the internet. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this?
After reading some other posts I found that my old wireless system wasn't acting up at all. It was Mac OS X 10.4.10. causing the disconnections to the internet. Great. Just great.

I'm able to play iTunes thru the Express perfectly but there's no wireless signal coming from the Express to connect to the internet. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this?
If you have the Express and Extreme in a single Network there will be only one available network name to join. In that single wireless network the Express can be set up to extend range of network by using WDS, or simply as a wireless client that can print or use iTunes. If you check the Airport Utility help files it will give full documentation on how to set up either type of wireless network.

  • IPod Touch has Weak Signal on Airport Express

    I have the following:
    1. Airport Express with 802.11n Wi-Fi (Version 7.3.2)
    2. iPod Touch running Software Update 2.2
    3. iPhone 3G 16GB running Software Update 2.2
My iPhone can connect to the Airport Express with no problems at all. The signal is very strong and the connection is excellent. However, the signal on the iPod Touch is very, very weak and drops out all the time. In fact, I can be standing right next to the Airport Express and the signal can be very weak. This does not seem right. What do I have to do to ensure that my iPod Touch as the same signal strength as my iPhone? Thanks

That definitely helped a bit. I guess I get one more bar than I got before. However, it is still significantly weaker than the iPhone and is still a bit inconsistent. That was a very good tip though, thanks

  • Boost network signal using AirPort Express without using WDS?

I want to boost the signal on my network using my airport express without setting up a WDS network, is this possible?
I had previously set up my Time Capsule as a WDS main and my airport express as a WDS remote, but this slowed the network down dramatically.

If you have an AirPort Express 802.11n, you can configure it to "extend a wireless network" and maintain "n" speeds on the network with a minimum of bandwidth loss.
Check the model number of your Express is you are not sure which version you have. Look on the side of the device for the Model Number. Model No. A 1264 is the "n" version.
Post back if you have this version and need more info on the "extend" setup.

  • Calculer période signal avec labview FPGA

    Bonjour,

  • Boost Wireless Signal with Airport Express

I bought the new airport express to boost the signal from my time capsule (in my house) to my garage office.
I have the AX set up but I don't see any difference in the signal.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Mike, welcome to the discussions!
Check the settings for both devices using AirPort Utility as follows:
    1) For the Time Capsule, click on Manual Setup and then click the Wireless tab below the row of icons to display the wireless settings for your TC. Make sure there is a check mark next to "allow this network to be extended"
    2) For the Express, click Manual Setup and click the Wireless tab. Wireless Mode should be "extend a wireless network" (Users often choose "join" by mistake when they are trying to extend the network). Make sure there is a check mark next to "allow wireless clients".
    Any improvement?
