GeniusBox\client.exe

i continually get the message C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\GeniusBox\client.exe.   failed to find. I get this message every time I turn on my computer, & shen I click on the REDX it disappears and allows me to use normally. I am able to continue once I close it, but it is a pain in the a__ to continually get this. I think it started around the time I got an iPad, could this be related to that? HELP!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Hello @LARRYA8,
I understand that you keep getting a message that a file is not found on startup and you would like to resolve it. I am providing you with an HP Support document: Using Microsoft System Configuration (Windows 7), which you can use to find the Startup command that is trying to load that file. As your computer works properly without it being found it means it is most likely not needed and the command can be removed.
I hope this helps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
Please click the "Thumbs Up" on the bottom right of this post to say thank you if you appreciate the support I provide!

  • Appdata\local\]geniusbox\client.exe

For the past several days at various times I keep have two boxes pop up.
The first one is a box that is completely black but at the top it has c:\(its a squiggly back slash)tasking.exe
The a box pops up saying Windows can not find c:\users\deborah\appdata\local\geniusbox\client.exe   make sure you typed the name correctly and try again.
What has happened to my machine that this message would keep popping up?
I tried restoring to an earlier date however, it wont let me.
does anyone have a clue what I can do to fix this.

  • Crash of com.apple.Outlook.client.exe

    Hello
we have a new Toshiba with windows 7 and outlook 2003.
Tried to sync with an iPhone 3GS
It tells in iTunes it synced succesfully; but in the background the "com.apple.Outlook.client.exe" crashes.
Outlook then tells me it cannot access the calendar/contacts because it cannot access the folders because a process accessing the folder crashed.
Quit outlook and reopen it again brings it back.
    errors are (translated from German):
Name of faulty application : com.apple.Outlook.client.exe, Version: 17.89.0.10, timestamp: 0x4cb91bf4
Name of faulty moduls: mspst32.dll, Version: 11.0.8317.0, timestamp: 0x4ae0c06f

path of faulty module: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SYSTEM\MSMAPI\1031\mspst32.dll
    what can be done except:
    - installed all updates (win and office)
    - installed itunes a new
    - rename mspst32.dll to mspst32-old.dll (got a new one with the same data)
    greets,
    Jack

I have a similar problem. I don't sync with outlook though, (I just sync with exchange server wirelessly). However, when iTunes starts, com.apple.outlook.client.exe uses alot of resources and I can't open any MS Office documents.
I close iTunes, process still runs, documents don't open. I highlight it and "end process" and all the documents I was trying to open pop up.
So far I haven't seen any effect of ending that process after iTunes is closed. I can't promise anything though. But it worked for me.
I'd like to see it fixed though, kind of a pain to have to do that.

  • Com.apple.outlook.client.exe CPU usage

On my laptop com.apple.outlook.client.exe always starts when I plug in my iPhone and sync it with itunes. It uses around 50% CPU and using my battery although I don't synchronize my iPhone with Outlook. Is there a way to avoid this? The process keeps running even after I have closed iTunes and disconnected the phone.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit with the latest iTunes version.

Same here on a Win XP with newest iTunes 10.5.1.42. Since I have this new iTunes, the "com.apple.outlook.client.exe" is accessing my harddisk constantly (although I only need the Notes to be synced with Outlook) and also when iTunes and Outlook are closed. Has someone a hint?

    Hi Turingtest2!
You seem to be the go-to guy with these types of errors. I'm quite impressed by your thoroughness! My error began showing up a few weeks ago when I updated iTunes to 11.1.5.5. The error doesn't seem to get in the way of iTunes working, or my syncing Windows XP / iPhone, but this error message pops up every 10 minutes or so with a loud "don't do that!" noise, which is mildly irritating and I'd love for it to go away.
Error: com.apple.DotMacSync.client.exe Entry Point Not Found. X  The procedure entry point objc_exception_try_enter could not be located in the dynamic link library obj.dll
This seems to be a bit different from other users, but perhaps the same response - to uninstall your list of programs and reinstall iTunes is the best strategy?
Thanks Turingtest2 - like your photo by the way.

Periodically com.apple.DotMacSync.client.exe runs when I have iTunes running. While it runs it consumes most of the CPU in the computer. This is hard on any other program that is running. How can I reduce this effect ?

Whenever I sync, multiple instances of (and by multiple, I mean literally dozens) of copies of "com.apple.outlook.client.exe *32" begin opening. They continue opening until iTunes basically grinds to a halt. This happens with MobileMe, too, and means I can't sync up with Outlook.

Checked: I'm using a 32-bit version of Outlook and not a 64-bit. Did not sync via a second user's installation, either.
    Still searching for resolution.
Note: All other syncing still works, iTunes only crashes under the weight of 90 or so com.apple.Outlook.client.exe instances when any (any) Outlook-related option is checked, including Outlook-related options in MobileMe. The processes can be killed all at once by right clicking "SyncServer.exe" in the task manager and clicking "End Process Tree."

  • Communication lost - Same installation, same version of client (.exe), but client has different configuration in Configuration Manager properties

Hi, I can't understand how I get the following different between old and newly installed client. On the left side it is the original client configuration and on the right side it is what client gets after installing the same version of CCMSETUP.EXE (5.00.7958.1000)
    with SCCM 2012 R2.
    Differences noticed:
-Catalog's name (in Software center) are different. New client has "IT Ogarnization" as name for their catalog.
-Configuration Manager Properties for new client doesn't have "Configurations" Tab.
-Many Components status in the components tab are different: CCM Notification Agent, Compliance and Settings Managment, Hardware Inventory Agent, Out of Band Mangement Agent...
With all this, I can't send Windows updates or any applications to ANY clients. The client status in the monitoring deployment always shows "Unknown".
I don't think it is on the client side, because I return to older VMware snapshot and see the different, after uninstalled and re-installed the SCCM agent, I get the new "problematic" client configuration.
Any suggestion to resolve my problem? Thank you in advance.

  • Why doesn't com.apple.IE.client.exeshut down when Mobile Me finishes sync?

Since upgrading to iTunes 9.1.0.74 a couple of days ago, the com.apple.IE.client.exe process, which starts during the Calendars phase of a Mobile Me manual sync process, fails to shut down when the sync process is complete. The Calendars phase now runs 5-10 minutes even when there are no Calendar changes. While it runs, com.apple.IE.client.exe runs at 50% of the CPU, and memory usage climbs continuously. It reaches about 2 GB (2,000,000 K in Windows Task Manager!) by the time the sync process completes.
However, com.apple.IE.client.exe _doesn't end_ even though the sync is complete. Instead, it keeps running at 50% CPU. Somewhere around 2.1 to 2.2 GB of memory usage it reports: "com.apple.IE.client.exe - Application Error. The exception Breakpoint. A breakpoint has been reached. (0x80000003) occurred in the application at location 0x0c90120E."
This has occurred at the end of four Mobile Me syncs now. Upon selecting OK to end the application, everything else seems fine.
I see other posts regarding the com.apple.IE.client.exe process in the latest iTunes update, but no clear resolution. I tried Apple Mobile Me chat, and replicated the problem twice while on-line, but their only recommendation (after verifying that my only Outlook COM add-on is the iTunes add-on) was to reinstall iTunes and Mobile Me, and if that didn't work, to create another user and see if the sync problem occurred there. Since that user would have no Outlook data to sync, this suggestion wasn't very helpful.

As am experiment, I just ran a Mobile Me manual sync, but first I de-selected Bookmarks, and synced just Contacts and Calendars. com.apple.IE.client.exe did NOT start at the beginning of the Calendars sync phase (as it had in the four previous syncs since upgrading to iTunes 9.1.0.79). In fact, it did not start at all, the Calendars sync phase finished quickly and the entire sync process finished in less than a minute.
The apparent conclusion is that com.apple.IE.client.exe is used to sync IE bookmarks with Mobile Me, it starts (for some unknown reason) at the beginning of the Calendars sync phase if Bookmarks are being synced (not at the beginning of the Bookmarks sync phase), it delays the Calendars sync phase significantly (but not the Bookmarks sync phase), and it has some sort of serious memory leak problem that balloons its memory usage past 2 GB.

  • Taskeng.exe and computer shutting down

Over the past few weeks, when i unplug my laptop, after a few minutes it will turn off. But if when i turn it on and it was not plugged in, it does not turn ff so it not a battery problem. However, after i turn it back on, the black box and taskeng.exe appears.
After following other threads on what to do, i cannot seem to find anything which works and with exams approaching, i really need this to be fixed. Any suggestions and are these related as this never used to occur?
Another box comes up stating thatwindows cannot find 'c:\programm files (x86)\search extensions\client.exe
    please help!!

    Hi Emily,
1.For the unexpected shut down event ,please check the Event Viewer to collect the related error information.
    To check the Event Viewer
    Event Viewer \Windows Logs \System
2.” taskeng.exe” please open your task manager and right click to open the properties of this process and verify its location. Meanwhile check the startup options in the task manager.
    I agree with
S.Sengupta, you may need to get into the safe mode and run the antivirus software to have a full scan your machine .
To get into safe mode :
Restart the machine and press F8 before the Windows logo appears and then choose Safe mode from the
    Advanced Boot Options screen
    3.As for “ cannot find 'c:\programm files (x86)\search extensions\client.exe”.
Here is a similar symptom, please follow the solutions  Lemp offered to solve this problem:

  • Specify DRM Application in DRM Batch Client execution

    Hi,
I have a development environment with two DRM applications DRMAPPGL and DRMAPPCM.

    SET Explogs=E:\Jobs\ODI\Logs\

    SET DRMpassword=password
    SET ProcessManager=net.tcp://localhost:5212/Oracle/Drm/ProcessManager

    I keep getting the error:

    8/27/2012 2:31:48 PM - *** Oracle DRM Batch Client stopping ***
The object access is the default "Standard", since the Export is a Standard Export and not system or user.
I am thinking this is because, the application does not know which DRM application to use.
But I do not see any mention in the DRM user guide document, which says what key should be used when executing the export, to specify the DRM application name.
I am thinking if it is the Process Manager URL, but it does not seem like it is possible to specify the application name there either.
Can anyone help me out here, I need to know how I can tell the Batch client to use that export routine from the DRM application "DRMAPPCM".
    Thanks,
    Anindyo

I figured out what I needed.
The Process Manager service URL for each application is found on the DRM Configuration Management Console.
When you create a new DRM application, a new process manager URL is associated with the application.
I found out that the port number for that application is different from the other DRM application.

    Regards Nithin Joseph
    Hello,
I am afraid that it is impossible because the application just read that value just one time when loading the application, and the modification will not affect the value any more.
Instead, you could place a xml file, and load the value when you want to do any action with the event handler.

  • B1 SHR Folder Client Installation not Working

    Hi,
Today when installing SAP B1 8.8 client onto end users machines I came across the error below when trying to install the client from the B1_SHR folder.
    *"Error Reading Setup Initialization File"*
From what I have read this means that the Client Installation file is corrupted and no longer working.  I need to finish installation of the client onto end users machines.
How can I install the client without the client.exe from the B1_SHR?

    Hi,
Unfortunately, you do not have option to install the client without the client.exe from the B1_SHR.
You have to find a working version. This file need to have valid backup at all time.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Why won't exe run over vi server when VIs will?

    Hello,
I have a "Server" which I intend to run on a locat machine at my desk.  It's function is to simply gather messages in a text box from multiple clients.  I'm using the VI Server method.  The VIs work but when I build them there is no communication.  On "My Computer" I checked "TCP/IP" and set the port to 3368, I currently have another server on 3363.
I can't figure out what my issue is.  I have rebuilt the client exe many times with various inputs (using static ip for the machine name setting, then using the service name for port number and service name, and the port 3368).  These various builds were not successful.
I think I have gone through the appropriate steps to attempt to correct the issue but I can't solve it.

If the client is an EXE you don't need to enable VI Server for it. This can cause problems because of the port being in use by the VI. The client exe can basically have an empty ini file (just the section name in the first line is sufficient).
Did you specify the machine name to connect to in the exe? If the client exe and the server are on the same machine use localhost or 127.0.0.1 or the hostname. Leaving it empty will not work because this will return an application reference to the current application instance (in this case the exe itself) no matter what port you specify.

  • Error using Batch Client

    Hi,
We've been facing issues using the DRM Batch Client.
As per the User Guide, we've created a .cfg file with only an Export operation in it.
On the cmd prompt, we navigate to the folder where the drm batch client.exe is located.
However, when we type in :
    drm-batch-client.exe/cfgfile=path& filename,
we receive the following error message:
'/cfgfile' is not a recognizable command.
Are there any additional settings to be applied?
    Thank you for your assistance.
    Tejas.

Did you configure your Batch client? Run the drm-batch-client-credentials.exe and assign the drm user/password (needs to have admin level access)
Use the complete File path while invoking the batch file i.e.
    C:\oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\DataRelationshipManagement\client\batch-client\drm-batch-client.exe /cfgfile="<filepath>\export_Hierarchy.config"
