Genre Audiobook missing (or lack of grouping in Audiobook section)

I got my new ipod nano 3rd gen today and put some audiobooks on it. They show up in the Audiobook meny. Annoyingly enough each track on it's own, but I know that's how it is even if I wish that a way of grouping them by author and book would be implemented soon.
However, previously I've done (with my 2nd gen nano) instead is to chose Genre -> Audiobook and thus getting the grouping by artist and album (author and book), but now there is no Audiobook in the genre menu... How do I get the Audiobook genre to show? Or is it impossiple?

    Hi,
    As I understand, you are using SharePoint designer worfklow on 2013 platform and you would like to edit cancelation email body for task process.
    From my experience, there is no OOB option for you to edit cancelation email body. Since workflow 2013 is different from 2010, task forms are auto-generated based upon a certain Content Type. As workaround, I'd recommend you using approval workflow on 2010
    platform. In addition, you could try codeplex 2013 approval workflow, please check the link below:

    Audiobooks go in Music, not ibooks.   Is the book you are talking about not an audiobook but an .epub or some other format where you read text?

  • Audiobooks section in library for iTunes Store Purchased Audiobooks only?

    Apple's had a great idea separating Audiobooks from other content but why when I click on it does it only show Audiobooks I bought from the iTunes store? I have audiobooks from other sources and all have the genre "Audiobook" but they aren't shown.
    The Music section shows ALL of my music content, not just music I bought from iTunes; why isn't the same thing true for audiobooks?
    This makes little sense and really limits the usefulness of dividing the libary by file type. Why? Because non iTunes store audiobook content remains listed under music no matter what you do.

    You may have to change the file type to m4b. I only recently discovered this - check out this site for instructions.

    I have been using the apple script on Doug's applescript site - you can google for this!

  • How to find/erase books?No AudioBook Section anymore??

    Hi,
    I'm updated iTunes to 7.1.1(5) as of today.
    Shouldn'ta oughta dunnit.
    When I look at my iPod, I can see the separate AudioBook section at the same heirarchical level as Artists, Albums, Songs, Genres etc. and I can access all 12 audiobooks (they are .aa files, downloaded from audible.com)
    When my iPod's connected to iTunes however, there is NO way to find these audiobooks anywhere... NOT in the music library, and there is NO AudioBooks section at the top heirarchical level in iTunes as older iTunes versions had. How the heck can I erase my books once they're read? What the __ is going on? Please help...
    By the way, my iPod has the latest software, iTunes assured me.
    Mac OS X (10.4.9)
    iMac 24" 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM Mac OS X 10.4.9 Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    embarrassed, but hope this helps someone else...
    I opened preferences and found under general the appropriate box to check, et, voilà... there was my Audiobooks section back again. Must have gotten unchecked by something in the update.
    Thanks, me, I've been a real help

  • Book on CD in Audiobooks Section

    Is there anyway to take a book on CD from my own house and put it in the "Audiobooks" section on the iPod? Or will it only go there if you buy it from iTunes? I have it on Books and Spoken for Genre and still they won't go in there. Just wondering

    I saw a post today with a link to an very interesting article about audiobooks:
    http://aldoblog.com/audiobooks/
    I haven't read all of it, but I think it may be of help for you.

  • OverDrive Audiobooks transfer to iTouch, but do not show up in Audiobooks section on iTouch?

    I have been transerring several Audiobooks from OverDrive to my iTouch. Most of my audiobooks will show up in the Audiobook folder on the iTouch, but about five only show up in a Playlist - not the Audiobook folder. In iTunes, they are in the "Book" file, but not on the iTouch. They are marked as "Audiobooks" under the "Get Info" tab. I have also disabled all restrictions. I have tried re-transferring the books, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Any ideas? Thanks!

    I was able to search and find my wma audiobook through itunes and select all parts and type in the author's name. Once I added the author's name the audiobook showed up in the audiobook section in music. Hope it works.

  • Audiobook doesn't show up in Audiobook section on ipod

    my audiobook is on my ipod, but it wont show up in the audioook section of my ipod, only by going to artist and looking it up from there. how can i make it show up in the audiobook section?

    This seems to be a common problem since ITunes has plenty of audiobooks now available ending in m4p which doesn't go into the Audiobooks on the Ipod. Hopefully they'll get around to repairing this bug but in the meantime, I've created a playlist in music called "audiobooks" to hold the audiobooks that are reading as songs. Messy but better than nothing

    I see this for all the object files. Please let me know you need more info regarding this.
    Thanks,

    Are you running C++ 5.3 and C++ 5.8 in the same directory, or on the same object files?
    C++ 5.3 uses a template cache by default, but C++ 5.5 and later do not use the cache unless you specify -instances=extern explicitly. In addition, there are differences in the way the two compilers generate template instances.
    We say that generally you can use binaries created by on older compiler when linking a program with a newer compiler, but there are some limitations when using very old compilers like C++ 5.3.
    If you switch between C++ 5.3 and 5.8, it is risky to share C++ .a or .o files, and risky to run both compilers in the same directory without cleaning out all binaries (and removing the template cache) in between runs.
    If you have been mixing compilers and C++ .o/.a files this way, try cleaning out everything and rebuilding from the beginning using one compiler. Let me know if this was the problem.

  • My audiobooks keep stopping at about 8mins. Only the older audiobooks in the audiobook section. Not the newer ones if played from Purchased or Recently Added sections. What can I do?

    My audiobooks keep stopping at about 8mins. Only the older audiobooks in the audiobook section. Not the newer ones if played from Purchased or Recently Added sections. What can I do? Thank you.

    have you ever copied those audio books in another location and played in your computer? May be the audio book file is corrupted. give it a try.

  • I bought an audiobook and it downloaded to my ipad but not my Gen4 itouch, it doesn't show an audiobook section under purchases, how do I do this?

    I am really upset.
    I really love my itouch but anything beyond using it as a daytimer, camera and note keeper is shear torture.
    I post a question, I have to repost it multiple times.
    I search for a solution to a problem, such as, "How do I download an audiobook" - I get a web page of all the things that itouch can do, but no instructions on how to do them.
    So here's my latest problem.
    Yes I am repeating myself again!
    I bought an audiobook and it downloaded to my iPad, but, not my gen4 itouch, it doesn't show an audiobook section under purchases in iTunes, how do I do this?
    Does anyone out there know of a web site that just gives answers to apple questions? ( I don't need to know what it could do, I need to know how to do it!)
    Thank you for your help!
    Ken

    Have you checked to see whether it's in the Music app (iTunes on the iPad it just the store, it doesn't contain your downloaded and synced content) ? When you have audiobooks on an iPad you will get an Audiobooks option under the More button at the bottom of the Music app.
    Note that audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store (so they won't appear in the Purchased tab for re-downloading), so you may want to copy it to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so that you can take a backup copy of it - it should copy over to the Books part of your iTunes library.

  • Group as Choice Section

    Hi,
    When to use "Group as Choice Section"?
    I am tryng to hide and show a either Row.Textfiled1 or Row.Textfield2 based on the Binding value.
    At present I am able to do this using Scrip, and 2 Rows.
    The XML Structure would be like;
    <Test>
              <Need>true</Need>
              <ColorRed>Print in Red</ColorRed>
              <ColorBlue>Print in Blue</ColorRed>
    <Test>
    <Test>
              <Need>false</Need>
              <ColorRed>Print in Red</ColorRed>
              <ColorBlue></ColorRed>
    <Test>
    <Test>
              <Need>false</Need>
              <ColorRed>Print in Red</ColorRed>
              <ColorBlue></ColorRed>
    <Test>
    This is how I have done now,
    *** I have bounded Test[*] to a table. Have 2 rows
    And will only display the Color Text depending on the <Need> element value.
    *** If the <Need>==true, display value from <ColorBlue> and if need is ==false
    display value from <ColorRed>
    Right now this how the coding is;
    1. Got 2 Rows each having 2 textfileds, one bound to <Need> and the
    other one to ColorRed in the first row and to ColorBlue in the second row.
    2. In the initialize event of the Row, i check on the  value of textfield that is bound to <Need> to
    assess its Rawvalue, if it is true or false the appropriate ROWs are made  visible.
    3.Initially both rows are hidden.
    4.The Textfiled bound to the <Need> are always invisible as there is no need to show this value.
    Is there a way to use the "Group as Choice Section" and avoid the above method of scripting.
    Any explanations would be helpful.
    Thanks
    Ds

    You resolved the problem! I have a couple of follow-up questions:
    1. Is it possible to remove the + and - buttons on the second line of information? It seems redundant given the first + adds everything I need.
    2. I get an error when I click the - button to remove the group.
    Please tell me exactly what you did to fix this. The table below needs the same thing--I would like to learn to do what you did so I can fix the other table and know how to do this in the future. Thank you!

  • Some audiobook tracks grayed out in audiobook section

    I have imported two different audiobooks into iTunes.
    I am using itunes 10.3.6 on a macbook pro, mountain lion osx.  I do have itunes match, and I turned off match to import the audiobooks so that I could go in and change the "media type" to audiobook.  However, now some of the tracks (not all) are grayed out and inaccessable on my iphone.  When trying to play the audiobook it just skips the tracks that are gray and moves on to the next black track.  I've tried resyncing and it doesn't help.  What did I do wrong?

    Without more details, it's hard to say what has gone wrong. How did you import those audiobooks? What format? Were they already in iTunes when you turned ON iTunes Match? Did they get uploaded? Etc. Lots of details required to troubleshoot this, you might consider taking your computer into the Genius Bar for help.
    If I was going to guess, it sounds like some of your audiobook tracks were elegible for uploading to iTunes Match, which removes them from consideration for being sync'ed directly via iTunes. When you turned off iTunes Match, you lost access to them.
    Go in and set the metadata for all of the audiobook's tracks using the File > Get Info panel, making sure you're setting (at least) both the Album (book title) to the right title, and the Other > Media Kind to "Audiobooks". Then go to the Books sync settings tab, and make sure the book is selected to sync in the Audiobooks section (scroll down to find it).
