Geofence doesn't store correct address

Some messages posted here have indicated that you can't enter an address for a geofence in the Reminders app. This is not true. Perhaps it was different at one time, but you can enter a location by simply entering the address.
HOWEVER, and yes this is a big but, it doesn't necessarily retain the address you type in! For example, I entered my home address, 445 W Any Street, City, State. I hit "Done" and it immediately changed the address to 66-98 W Any Street, as though I had typed that in.
I'm assuming it's establishing a location based on GPS coordinates or something, but this is way off; the address is over half a mile away. I've tried it several times and always does the same thing. It doesn't do it with all addresses however. It retains my office address as entered.
Perhaps because the location is stored incorrectly, then, the notification doesn't go off when I'm at the right location (445). Maybe if I went to 66... but I'm not going to go there! Frustrating. Thoughts? Solutions?

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode? ''A troubleshooting mode.'' 
1.You can open the Firefox 4.0 SafeMode by holidng the '''Shft''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut. 
2. Or use the Help menu item, click on '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' while Firefox is running.

ITunes store doesn't load correctly with iTunes9.

Since upgrading to iTunes9, iTunes store doesn't load correctly on my machine running Windows XP Pro SP3. When I go to the iTunes store, it connects and the images are large and don't load up so I can see the entire store. And when scrolling down, the images disappear for a while then show up and titles are just plain text. Any help?

Nonsense. NetNanny was disabled on my PC (trial had expired) yet I still had this problem. It's some sort of conflict in the way Apple are using the Windows IP stack when NetNanny's interceptor is installed.
Apple have documented it here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123 and their recommendation is "remove the 3rd party software". Nice.
NetNanny's site has a suggestion that you add "the executable" but I'm not sure if they mean itunes.exe or apsdaemon.exe to the Security Exceptions List. I haven't tried that as I simply removed it.

At 10:30pm I think I'd like to talk this out....Lemme give you some more details and lets get some hardware programmers involved. I think this is a cross-platform conflict or at the remote a outdated hardware problem. What do you need from me to track this issue down? I have been patient and have waited over 1yr or maybe 2, waiting for an update to correct this issue. Alas, there has been no solution to this problem. I have 13 seperate MAC addy's on the network. 1 wired and the the rest wireless(some constant, others random). All on a schedule(some timed access, some all the time). I have macBooks, Labtops, Desktops, Ipads, Ipods, DSIs, Windows7, WindowsXP Pro, PS3, AppleTV and a few random BlueTooths. Not that much.
Anyways, I think somehow there is a hole because of cross-platfom compatability that is making my daughter able to get on the net unless I change the wireless password......

When you say "account," do you mean your iTunes library, because your iTunes library is what is on your computer? Your iTunes library does not have an email address. An account that is related to iTunes is your Apple ID (which is an email address) and you use it as your user name to sign in to the iTunes Store, to make purchases. Changing your Apple ID will not make songs disappear from your computer's iTunes library.
If you had an Apple ID and used it to make song purchases from the iTunes Store, and then started using a different Apple ID, you should be able to re-download the songs purchased with the old Apple ID. In iTunes, sign in to the iTunes Store using your OLD Apple ID (and password). That may not be your current email address, but Apple uses it as your user name, so it does not matter.
On the iTunes Store Home screen, click on Purchased under QUICK LINKS. This takes you do the Purchased screen, where you can re-download previous song purchases (for that Apple ID) at no cost.
NOTE: If those song purchases are from more than a few years ago, you may also need to authorize your computer to play (and sync) songs for your old Apple ID.
For songs that were not purchased from the iTunes Store, if they are also gone, you cannot get them back unless you have a backup (or they are still loaded on your old iPod).
If that's not what you mean by "changed the email address on my account," please post back with more details.

1) Is it a video clip? Something you recognize? To be clear, it's displaying at a point in your exported movie but doesn't appear at all in the sequence?
2) What are your sequence settings? Right-click your sequence and choose "Item Properties" to verify.

ITunes UK Store - IP Addresses

Dear All,
Our company firewall used to block access to the UK Itunes store and would always default to the US one. I eventually resolved this by adding a filtered rule allowing traffic to go to the Itunes UK store IP addresses (info which I found on a Apple forum). The same issue has occured and I was hoping someone could tell me the IP's which I should be allowing as I can't find the support info online anymore?

Apple doesn't use specific servers - they use Akamai's distributed server network - so there are not specific IP addresses for the servers, at least none anyone will publish since the load is spread among multiple servers, in some cases in different geographical areas. Generally, these two domains need to be exempted from any Internet filtering/firewall:
phobos.apple.com
phobos.apple.com.edgesuite.net

[SOLVED] My DHCP doesn't want IP addresses offered by the router

I use NetworkManager and I always have to manually set my IP address, because my DHCP doesn't accept IP addresses offered by my router.
If I go to Settings -> Network, disconnect from wi-fi and change IPv4 setting from "Manual" to "Automatic (DHCP)", then it will keep trying to reconnect forever.
I wanted to look at DHCP logs but I cant find them (`/var/log/dhcpd.log` does not exist on my system)
If I run `sudo dhcpcd` (after killing the process with `sudo kill $(pidof dhcpcd)`) I get the following:

"carrier lost, carrier acquired" happened because I turned off and then I turned back on my wi-fi.
"wlp8s0" is my wireless interface, while "enp7s0" is my ethernet interface.
Can someone point me to the correct direction to make DHCP work properly?

By the way, as far as I can recall, I had this problem since I switched from netctl to NetworkManager. Also, it happens not only with my router (so it's definitely not a router issue).

Delivery problems with Apple Store mailing address

I just sent the following letter to Apple; I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem (missing mailing address lines) ?
Dear Apple,
I'd like to point out a potential problem in Apple Store mailing addresses.
During the past two years, I have now witnessed three (3) separate occasions, where the shipping address I give in my Apple Store order does not correctly end up in the actual mailing label.
The most recent case was today, when I (by sheer luck) received my Logic Pro 7.2 upgrade. The address I originally gave in my order was like this:
John Doe
My Home Street 123
MyCompany Ltd.
Helsinki, 00440
Finland
The first line is my name, the second line the street address, the third line my company, and the last line city and zip code.
However, the address that was in the envelope goes like this:
John Doe
MyCompany Ltd.
Helsinki, 00440
Finland
So the problem is, that the street address never made it to the mailing label. The envelope came addressed to me and my company; no street address at all. Fortunately the local post office knew where to find us.
I've seen this happen at least two times before, and it's always either the company name or the street address that's missing. They are not only missing from the mailing label in the envelope, they are also missing from the actual Apple Delivery Note that's inside the package. So it seems, that somewhere in your mailing process (at least for Finland) one of the address lines simply gets deleted.
I haven't (yet) lost anything valuable, but I'm getting really uncertain if I have the courage to order anything more valuable from your web store.
I hope you can fix this A.S.A.P. (or at least remove the extra address line from the order form, so that users won't put any crucial information into it).

Report parameters doesn't appear correctly

I have a report .rdl under Visual Studio2010 and sql server2008.
the report language is arabic and all the fields appears correctly, but the parameters doesn't appear correct it shows stange characers(not question marks) and all the remaining fields show arabic characters correct.
i run the report on internet explorer9.
i don't know what is the problem, i searched alot and there is nothing new. what can i do??

You have mentioned that the report is work fine on Chrome. It may be a compatibility issue of IE9. At this time, I suggest that you first check this issue in IE9 Compatibility View mode. Please refer to the following steps:
1. Launch the IE 9, and press Alt+T to select the Tools.
2. Click Compatibility View settings.
3. Check the “Display intranet sites in Compatibility View” option, and click Close.

Safari doesn't recognize http addresses

When I input:
http://www.devon-technologies.com/files/academy/devonthink/videos/videotutorial- 1.mov
to safari, I get the error message:
Safari can’t open “http://www.devon-technologies.com/files/academy/devonthink/videos/videotutorial- 1.mov” because Mac OS X doesn’t recognize Internet addresses starting with “http:”.
Huh? firefox had no problems opening the page.

Item doesn't store value at proper page

Hi, Im using Apex 3.0.1 under XE
An item is not storing the value at point i need.... i'll explain
Got an item on page 1, it stores a value from a sql query. That item named P1 is calculated at a before header computation level on page1. P1 stores its value properly
At page 30 i got an item called P2_X that gets its value from a link column located into a report at page 1. P2X stores its value properly
On same page (30) i got another item called P2_Y. It's value comes form a query where P1 and P2_X are involved. P2_Y is calculated at a before header computation point.
Now, it seems P2_Y doesn't store any value. I wrote a &P2_Y. into a html region of page 30 to check out what value is stored, and there is nothing, it's null.
This is so weird, because i'm recreating an application i've already developed before. At that time i used the exact same logic for calculating those items.
now, is not working.
Do you think i'm missing some step, consideration, mmm... cache issue, calculating point or something?...

P2_Y needs to have a Source Used value of "Only, ..." if you want the computation-established value to persist on the page.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

You can set a default email address here:
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > underthe Mail section - Default Account.
Any email you start will use this account by default but you can change this manuall by tapping the email address in the From field. That whill bring up a dial to select the email address you want to send from.

Game Center doesn't work correctly

Game Center on iPod Touch 2nd Gen doesn't work correctly under iOS 4.2.1
It shows wrong language (Englist but not my native language. My region setting is right and the system language right too.)
Besides, the "Games" page only has a button "Find Game Center Games", while it should show my Game Center Games.
The Friends page shows all my friends. But when I press a friend the sub page doesn't show the game my friend and I have in common.
I've restored my device several times, but it didn't help.
How to solve it?

I've had exactly the same problem on my 2nd gen since early May when it just stopped working out of the blue.
There are a few threads here on the subject. I believe that every 2nd gen is affected as I've yet to hear a 2nd gen owner say that theirs works.
Other than waiting for Apple to fix it I don't think there is a solution.
