Geographical map integration

Hello,
As far as i experienced the old-skull built-in map that comes with Crystal Reports Design 2008 support locations on country and city level not street,postal code,coordinates level, is this true ? Can someone confirm this ?
My other question is how possible integrating Google maps as a flash object into CR Design 2008 ? When i make research for that, i find one company with limited information for CR Design 2008 support.

Anyone had any experience with this tool ? This company monopol in this sector, no any other free alternative to integrate Google maps into CR Design 2008 ? I couldn't find anything else other than this company in my searchs.

hello all,
you can put a zip code layer into a map in the maps which are native to cr. the bad news is that these granular levels have to be purchased as an additional layer. this is a third party product.

Deploy geographic Map on external weblogic

Hi All,
I am using jDev 11.1.1.6.0.
I created a simple application with a geographic map on one page to show the stock levels. The application works fine and the map comes up perfectly when I run the application on the integrated weblogic server.
When I deployed the application on external weblogic server, I get an error DVT-26000: unable to find connection in 'mapConfig1'
I checked the EAR file and connections.xml is present. Is there any place in weblogic where I need to configure the MapViewer URL and the Geocoder URL?

Geographical Map does not show up in Crystal Reports 2008 Viewer

Hi,
I'm facing a problem by creating maps with CR2008 SP2. If I export the report directly to an pdf or html file the map is shown properly. If I'm using the CR 2008 Viewer to open the .rtp file there's an error message like 'not supported object: geographical map'.
Anyone else facing such problems?

How to use geographical maps in OBI EE

pls. guide me to use geographical map in OBIEE say for latim America ... I want to show sales amount in each city/state and if each city show good sales amount, the city will have green color. Is it possible to do this?

it has almost the requirements you want....
then when a user click on a sub - area of your state....you can represent him some informations and a link (navigation) to either a more specific report or just a url.
I tried to make a simple j2ee with "manual way" , many pictures - polygons-links..... and i gave up....

Crystal 2008 Hangs When Opening Report With Geographic Map

Greetings - CR just hangs when I open a report that has an existing geographic map or if I create a new report with a geographic map. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, and made sure the updates were applied. Searched the forums but haven't found anything to help.
Any suggestions?

Usual next steps, What OS are you using and did you install CR with local Administrator rights?
Are you on a domain where your IT department have modified your profile, you may be in the Admin group but they can alter the default settings. Check to confirm.
Try Service Pack 2 from the download page, although I have not heard of anyone else having this specific problem.
Check the System and application Event logs to see if anything failed, permissions, access etc.
Is there anyone else in your company having the same problem? You could try downloading Process Monitor from www.sysinternals.com and filter on crw32.exe and watch when you try to access the maps.

Geographical map not zooming in properly.

I have two regions on my UI page R1 and R2. R1 has table containing all locations rows. R2 has geographical map displaying these locations on map. Both the components are sharing/using same data control. Now not all locations in R1 will have corresponding longitude and latitude values so it will be null for those locations. For geo map I have specified autozoomthemeid as theme id so that map should zoom in automatically to display all the locations on map to max zoom level.
But here its not zooming in to the max level. It is zooming to level to display only few of the locations. When I manually zoom out I can still see other locations on map. What could be possible reason for this? Is there any way I can make map component skip those locations which doesn't have corresponding longitude or latitude value.

yes in this case I get a following error message on log.
DVT-26016: theme LocationMapPointTheme cannot be displayed: no latitude data at row 1
And I cant see any locations on map. So In order to avoid this situation I am specifying NVL(AddressDEO.GEOMETRY.SDO_POINT.X,200) AS LOC_LONGITUDE,NVL(AddressDEO.GEOMETRY.SDO_POINT.Y,200) AS LOC_LATITUDE in vo attribute expression. Though this is not throwing any exceptions but map zoom level is not appropriate to see all the points on map.

Crystal Reports Viewer Geographic Map

Hi,
I have the problem with the Crystal Repots Viewer and a geographic map. The Viewer didn't show the geographic map and brings the error: "not supported object: geographic map".
Have anyone an idea to solve the problem?

Connection to SYBASE IQ / Generate Report Analysis with geographic maps

   Please I appreciate your help with the two points below :
   --> Is tihs possibile to access a Sybase IQ database in the PAS Model ? We want to connect to this kind of the database and we are afraid that any restriction could appear connecting this DB ( ths most common database are Oracle , SQL Server ETC )
--> Is there any way in SSM to generate reports / views using geographic maps, as it is used in anothers tools as Xcelsius ( I tried a lot of options but untill now without success )

PAS can access any ODBC compliant db. You would need to create an ODBC connection to Sybase IQ and then create a Link ID in PAS. Then build your model to connect to that database and pull data from its tables.
Strategy Management capability works off of simple templates for reports and so does not have the ability to create a reports incorporating geographic maps.
If you are using SSM 7.5, you can connect Strategy Management data via web services to Xcelsius and create your geographic map within Xcelsius. After creation, save the Xcelsius dashboard as a flash file and you can import that flash file into Strategy Management as External Content visible on the Home Page.
The Administrator interface has an area to Configure Home Page based on Application Groups. You can upload and add external content, like a flash file, a pdf, or word doc that would appear on the End User's homepage.

Hi,
To do this you have to have the settings done in Info object maintenance where in the Map should have been integrated already.
Once that is done, in BEx designer you can have the setting by cloicking the icon.

Google Map Integration with Map Viewer is not working

My MapViewer Version: Ver11_1_1_7_B130111
I have created a Google Map (with Type of Map Source as "Google Maps") in Oracle Map Viewer and i could see google map in Oracle Map Viewer(using "show Map").
I wanted to show a village map theme over the above google map in a web page and i am using Jdeveloper to integrate map viewer with Village data. I could see the google maps inside Jdeveloper however when i run the Jdeveloper code google map is not shown inside the web page.
I tried with Oracle Maps, Bing Maps as the "map source" in map viewer and tried integrating inside Jdeveloper and got same result (blank screen). However when i tried a different mapviewer ( Base Map ELOCATION.WORLD_MAP from OracleFMW MapViewer Home ) i could see the map in the web page.
I could get all other base maps (created with "internal" as the map source") in the web page, so there is some thing that i am missing with Google Maps, Bing Maps, Oracle Maps. Could you please help me what is that i am missing or point to a help resource?

Google Map integration in SAP BO Explorer

I would want to integrate Google Maps with SAP BO Explorer. Is there any standard functionality (Out of box solution) available for this in SAP BO Explorer?

Does integrating Google Maps with SAP BO Explorer for IPAD/Mobile based version is a standard functionality in SAP BO explorer? Or we need to go for additional plug in?

3.If it is not a standard (Out of box functionality) of SAP BO explorer please let me know the plugins / third party add ins required for integrating Google Maps with SAP BO Explorer (Both web based and IPAD/Mobile version).

Prime Infrastructure - Google earth maps integration question

Hello All,
I am in doubt about a specific statement found in the P.I configuration guide:
Adding an AP to Google Earth map without having the AP associated on a standard map, you do not see
any heatmap when you view the AP in Google Earth.
So, just to understand, its not just enough to import a kml with the access point information to P.I?
IF not, then do i have just to add the access point in any standard map (could even be an irrelevant map to the actual kml map?)
Can somebody please clarify and provide some tips?!!

The point is , the AP which is being added into google maps , should also be a part of any standard map. Standard Map will show the areas ( so that you can see and understand heat maps) , however, they don't actually give the presence of the area in global map ( in terms of geographical coordinates). Kml file is data of coordinates, it is not the actual MAP.

OBI EE maps integration tutorial

Hi guys!
I'm pretty sure that this topic has been mentioned many times before...But my question is..is there any good tutorial on how to integrate maps with oracle biee? I've seen a lot of them..but lets be honest most of them are not for the regular guys...I haven't seen any to take the subject step by step...I mean click here or type it there...Integrating obiee with maps its very hard..It'd be nice to learn a nice good step by step simple example and then populate your own needs...I heard a rumour that there is a 45 page power point which handles the subject well..maybe someone does know this rumor? Please help...Any good tutorial would be appreciated...

Siebel Google Map Integration

Hi,
I was trying to display Google map as an iframe. This integration used to work earlier well and I am trying to debug this but I have heard that there has been some changes on the Google side where it is preventing Google Map to open inside other applications.
Has anybody faced such a problem ? Any conformation on this info.

Agreed. A big mistake, from my perspective. This regressive omission has been lost in all of the hubbub over map inaccuracies. Officially, Apple invites the market to find the best solution to public transportation integration. That's a bunch of hooey. It feels like a half- baked app rushed to market to meet the iPhone 5 release date.
2 options I've tried (in Seattle):
1. Download google map website. Requires internet access or a phone signal, but not a big issue in urban area.
2. Free HopStop app. Integrates with Map, but only by launching another app. Different UI is not clean by Apple standards. Banner ads on the bottom. Info has been accurate so far. Good turn-by-turn walking directions to bus stops.
OK, but all-in-all, poor substitutes for the simple, functional elegance of the Google Map app.
Google Maps iOS 6 app reportedly coming sometime in the 6 month time horizon.
